Are you able to prove that the funds were denied? I would eally like to know if they were or if there is a restructuring going on or if terms were simply not agreed upon.
I must not be very smart. I do not understand your response. I am not talking about customs or the government. My comments were as regards financing only.
I am involved in the same type of deal right now. Ous business has orders for goods from overseas. Because the orders are quite large we are unable to fully fund them. Because of this we are asking our customer to issue a standby domestic letter of credit. Then, and only then will we purchase the goods. This is quite common. We have worked on this for two years. At long last it is coming together. Timelines are meaningless and require patience and perserverance.
I have no idea if QASP will work out for all of us. But I am not worried by the extensions. A veteran businessman realizes the risks, works really hard and is patient.
This post is exaactly right. This is how we have looked at this for weeks. None of the normal rules apply. This is an investment that depends entirely on the PTB and how they put thiis together over the next few months. Also, even if this does work out we are looking at a $.10-$.15 stock which I think would be great.
My wife and I are still here. We have accumulated shares and continue to hold. My DD tells me that this is an investment. We believe there is at least a 50-50 chance of this company being somewhat sucessful. As I have stated many times. If the PTB are able to, over time, put part or all of their business plan together the stock could go to $.10-.15 by the end of the year. If this were to happen we would be thrilled.
This IS a long term investment. What does not make sense about this? If you owned 10,000 shares of xyz @ $5 per share you would not check it ever 30 seconds and you would not spend 8 hours per day on a forum. Let's see what happens over the long haul.
One thing I have learned is not to predict this stock. Remember,,,,,,,,, we are now in an investment.
I, too am holding every share I have purchased.
I really have tried to be a voice of reason, calm, quiet etc. These things take a lot of time and the PTB made mistakes in putting dates out there. I have, also said that I would not bet either way nor would I be surprised either way. This is a tough one. We all know that we are now in an investment not a pink sheet. Only time will tell.
Having said the above, I, too am really confused. The normal "rules" for business or for OTC stocks or for the market in general do not seem to apply here. This is a strange one.
I am use to facing a business deal face to face in a factual manner and let the chios fall. My gut instinct is that no news is good news in this case but it may only mean that they are still trying.
My sentiments exactly. Thanks for stating this so well. This is now an investment. There is no need to monitor QASP every 4 minutes. Give the PTB the necessary time to work this out. Either they make it work or they don't.
Not sure it is quite rolling the dice but I understand your point. I actually believe there is a plan. Now, whether or not it will work out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Yet again, it either will or it won't. I am not smart enough to make the call. However, as I said earlier, business deals are tough. I have been doing business for 35+ years and it always takes time. Schedules tend to be meaningless. My partner and I have been working on a deal since May '08 and are just now getting it off the ground. It, too is overseas.
This is an investment now pure and simple.
I am certainly concerned. We have a large stake. However, I am not panicked. I continue to read, do DD and observe. As I have said over and over, this will either work or it won't. It has gone from being a quick in and out to being an investment in my opinion. These type of business deals are not easy and take time.
I am a businessman and a big boy. The BANKER owes me absolutely no apology. He is a quiet voice of reason here.
That is really a stretch. You sound like this is a conspiracy theory.
I said this last week. I have worked in development for many years. Most gifts are in the form of pledges. A "pledge card" is filled out and signed. It is perfectly legitimate and very much the norm. The vast majority of gifts to non-profits are pledges. The donor indicates the amount of the gift and the payment schedule, generally 2-3-4-5 years. The cards are not legal but the "default rate" for non-profits is extremely small.
I am not happy with the PTB of QASP but it matters not at all whether the gift has been paid or pledged in terms of credibility.
SunScents, best you and to your wife! I am going to sleep and will dream of buying the drinks for all of us when this comes about!
Tommorrow is another day.
Banker, I have listened to you and have valued your judgement since I bought into Quasar. I do not know if you are right or wrong but I do know that you are smart, thoughtful and sincere in your judgement. Win or lose you will help me sleep tonight.
Best to everyone.
This is directed to The Best Alchemist. I am here with you. I have never had visions of grandeur. I just saw it as a nice opportunity. As a businessman I know how difficult these things are. I am just now seeing the results of a deal we embarked upon in May of '08. Mine is also an overseas deal.
Not a single person in here, including myself has a clue how this will play out.
I am a long who has a large position and has been here a while. As I have said about a dozen times I would not bet either way; never made a prediction. I wanted information and now we have it.
I like the idea of redoing the business plan to a scaled down version. Funding for 6 projects will be tough. I have thought so for a while.
I have also said over and over that I did not think this would be a $1 stock. I have also hoped that, as it grows, it might get to $.10-$.15. That would be a major success.
This is now an investment. Either one takes a big hit or you are here for a while. My wife and I are here for a while.
I have absolutely no problem giving this time. I would give it months and months of time. It makes perfect sense that this deal needs time. I just wish we had communication. The PTB need to act as if they are professionals. Just tell us where we are, and please keep us informed on a regular basis. This is how true pros handle things.
The post from Pipul is perfect. I have said this on 6-7 occassions. Tell us the good and/or the bad. We are big boys and girls and can handle it. But, please stop with the cloak and dagger. The POB are being irressponsible as Hell. Either it works or it doesn't but stand up and tell us.
I havn't sold either. We have accumulated a nice number of shares and are wating on the outcome. I guess it is my business background. Closing a deal is tough and timelines are rarely met. Multiply that by 6. I will continue to say that I would not bet either way on the outcome here.
SPARCE pretty well sums up my feelings. While I remain slightly positive I am also bothered by the lack of response. As stated previously these things take time. When 6/30 was first mentioned as a date to close multiple deals I told my wife it would never happen. Personally, I don't care if this deadline is met or not. I am only interested in knowing if the PTB are proceeding with a business plan in a professional manner. And,,, I am really concerned about the lack of information. It is simple. Keep us informed of the good, the bad and the unknown. We can handle it.
Could not have said it better myself!
Wonderful post. This is exactly what I have been saying. I would not bet either way. Thanks for a well thought out and appropriate post.
As I have said many times here, IF this stock its $.10 by the end of the year we should all be exstatic. And,,,, to hit $.10 a lot will have to happen. Yet, I try to remain optomisitic.
This was a wonderful post. I, too am a little older and have owned several small companies in my career. Nothing, and I mean nothing ever goes exactly as planned. Business is tough and delays are the norm. Over time one gets used to it.
However, communication is a key. I have always tried to spell out the good and the bad. Everyone needs to know where they/we stand.
I have posted for quite a while that I am amazed at the lack of candor by the PTB. No one can tell me that they can not come forward on a regular basis and lay things out. We are grown ups and can handle the good and the bad.
Again, I remain hopeful but would not bet either way.
I worked in "Development" for years. You bet there is a difference between a pledge and a gift. Pledges are set according to the willingness and the ability of the donor to satisfy it. Often pledges are paid out over 3-4-5 or even more years. Normally, a donor signs a pledge card specifically laying out the payment terms but these are not legal documents and are certainly not binding. I will say that the default rate on pledges to non-profits is very small. I have assumed since it was initially announced that the 1.4m was a pledge.
Actually, I have a lot of shares. Average is .014.
No doubt, my friend. At least my lesson lasted 15 yeas until now, lol. Just kidding as we all really need a sense of humor.
Actually, I continue to say I would not bet either way on this one.
This is the most intriguing stock I have been involved in in the past 15 yearsw or so. I, once invested in a cheap startup tech stop. Put in $30k. It went to 60k in no time. I got out at less than $1 it happened so fast. i mean in a day or so.
I have been successful in the market over the years but that was my big mistake. Hope this turns out better.
Being the genius I am, I continue to buy. Hope like Hell I am right.
I spend way too much time on line trrying to find information and read about anything and everything about this deal. Starting to really wear on me, lol.
I say between .012 -.013.
I just bought some more at these prices. My wife is rolling her eyes. She and I are in this together, have a nice stake and research the Hell out of it but have our eyes wide open. As I keep saying, I would not bet either way.
I could not agree more.
This looks better than it did 2 hours ago. However, it is far from a done deal. Let's all be optomistic but realistic. Hopefully, the two conditions are met and we are all happy. As for me, I am not spending the money yet but reamin cautiously optomistic. Time will tell.
Good luck to all of us!
I said this earlier today but my wife and I have had a nice position for some time. We are deciding in the next 24 hours whether to stay or go. We are good at investing but we are not good enough to know how this will work out. I would not bet either way.
This is what I said last night. We have been holding a nice position for some time. However, if there is no solid information spelled out in exact terms then we are out on Friday. I am not wise enough to know whether this will be a success or not. I do know that I am a businessman and tend to make decisions based upon solid facts.
Good luck to all!
A few moments ago we determined to sell our considerable shares late this week if no legitimate and verifiable information is forthcoming. Without new information it is tough to make financial decisions.
I am certainly not saying that this venture will not take shape. It may well work out. Rather, as a businessman, I find it tough to make decisions without knowledge.
Best of luck to everyone.
