You have never been to Shanghai, have you?
To be exact, it is seven weeks away. You are right, there are several things to get done.
I am not that smart. I just talked to the company. Thanks to the board, it is now the company's mission to get the product done ASAP and clarify their reputation once and for all.
If we all would be on the same page on the requirements of presenting the product in a trade show, we would be able to understand why the firm has to do that pretty quickly. For example, due to the safety requirements, the unit that could be shown at the trade show need to obtain UL certification. Since the process of UL would take longer than October, Wanderport could only present their shell unit with specification.
Now talking about the specification, prior to publish the specification, Wanderport has to submit a working MCMWH unit to a third party lab to run the test for performance. The certified test results would be published on their website in coming weeks prior to the trade show.
Are we in October already? Or it is just your speculation.
Great engineering team and distributors they have. Just give us the product then we all are on to the new chapter. I can smell it right around the corner. Long and strong.....Go WDRP !!!
New website, efficiency number, journal coverage on Wanderport. They get inspired to prove to the world now. This Fall will be packed with actions. Go WDRP...
A trade show in a second week of October will be an exciting week for Wanderport. Imagine number of things and announcements would happen before that. Go WDRP....
I am looking forward to a product update announcement in the near future. After all, the product is the core reason that people are investing in the company. Go WDRP.
One of venture capitalists mentioned about a start-up company that in the beginning these companies are no company, but they are just products. I do not really care much of how the firm structures right now as long as they would have us a ground breaking product and I am looking forward to that. Go WDRP...
I still believe in the technology and the product. Go WDRP...
I got burned out on that board somtimes, LOL....
I got burned out on that board somtimes, LOL....
Good move. Let's wait for Robert's response on your email. I am too lazy. LOL.
I did the quick search for his name by his last name, I got six patent applications on multiple inventions. For example,
2639966: DUAL / MULTI FREQUENCY ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM AND POS VERIFIER
2314199: C-CHIP
2654224: DIRECTIONAL AND POSITION ABLE LIGHT ARRAY / FIXTURE
2330514: SECURITY DEVICE
.....
I could spend more time later to check if I could find more with different combination of his name, water heater, control system or something. The query is sometimes not that smart. That is why people love google search.
Let's not challenge each other. ^^
We are all here for the best of our investment. There are multiple routes to that from different point of views. Once the MCMWH prototype is completed, things would start to move along pretty nicely. Of course there are several milestones ahead of us, but the uncertainty level would drop significantly. It is like the Wright Brother could prove that he could fly his machine. From an investment standpoint , we would have larger smiles.
Having said that, I hope the company addresses the AMF issue more proactively and operate the firm as a public company. Sooner or later, it would have to turn to the stock market to raise fund. It would be prudent to keep their relationship with the investors intact, it would go a long way for them that way, IMO.
Welcome you both to the board. I notice you guys are new here as well, (or just new alias.) ^^
I look at this from a practical standpoint. September 13th is just a beginning of the AMF hearing process for Andrew. I wonder if it would be quite an involved and long process for him to clear up himself. Would it be quite a full plate for him? If the answer is yes, I think that would be another reason that he should discuss with the firm and step aside. No matter if Andrew is actually innocent or not. WDRP may have an alternative IR team to do the job for an interim.
Once he clears up himself, then I think we would welcome him back with open arms. Then it would be a win win situation for everybody. At this point, it creates unnecessary tension and a cloudy outlook to drag it on and on. It hurts everybody, especially Richard's credibility as a public company's CEO.
We will know the specification soon. Dunno if no additional wiring cost would be possible for the US electrical platform. Having said that, as you know majority of electrical systems in the world are 220/230 volt with 50 or 60 hertz. That would be more possible, IMO.
I personally believe in common sense. At this point, there are several possible options available for Robert and Wanderport. Things would work out, eventually.
The next chapter would be very exciting. Go WDRP....!!!
You meant Richard?
My understanding is the recording is 1 hr 49 mins long. I just take a look again and it looks ok. If you still find that it is not the case, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
UL involvement would be an ongoing relationship from product development, safety testing, manufacturing, etc. I agree to some parts of what you suggest. My take is like this.
First, UL provides a safety recommendation based on preliminary presentation and the single cavity water heater unit. This step is essentially completed. Now Wanderport is working on MCMWH. The recommendations for SCMWH would be applied to design and development of MCMWH, since the MCMWH is pretty much similar to the single cavity unit. The bottleneck would be on part delivery, the fabrication would take only one week. In addition, since this product is a new application product, UL is developing a new testing standard for this product.
Once Wanderport completes MCMWH units, there are a few things they would do.
Task 1) UL does the safety testing on the MCWH, when the testing standard is in place,
Task 2) UL does the efficiency testing and use that to develop specifications and market awareness. Task 1 and Task 2 could be done in parallel.
Task 3) I learned that Wanderport also seeks an alternative safety lab in the US to expedite Task 4 and Task 5.
Task 4) Conduct a field test. This test would be for different objectives as what UL does. This would be field tests, ease of installation, accuracy, repeatability, etc over extended period. This step would prevent a product recall. I think this one could be done parallel with Task 1 and 2, but would be better off at least after Task 2,
Task 5) Fabrication design-if task 4 is favorable, they would have to optimize the design to make it cheaper and easier for mass production.
Task 6) They launch the products in other regions of the world, that may not require UL cert. IMO, this task should happen after Task 4 and 5
Task 7) After receiving UL, launch a product in the markets that require UL cert.
This is my take, I could be wrong. ^^
LOL, that is a given. At any rate, it would be something that people refer back to in the future and more milestones are achieved.
I am happy with yesterday's CC. I got a lot of great information and clarifications on several of our questions-patent, Andrew, stage of product, Dave Meyer's awesome comments, etc. If anyone missed it, please refer to the recording on the sticky note.
Recording of Wanderport's informal investor relation meeting on August 16th.
IR Meeting on August 16th, 2011
My take is what he tried to say was he did sell the stock, but not trading the shares back and forth to qualify as stock manipulation. If that is true, I am fine with that. We will know soon enough.
so far so very good.
Please join the meeting. We need your input there.
Wanderport's informal shareholder meeting: schedule and details
Great news. Good man, Robert.
Shorters, please cover your positions sooner rather later. Go WDRP.....
Not sure if we agree on either one. At this point things seem to be blown out of proportion. Agenda overshadows the truth. Facts are kind of tinted. A lot of claims and theories about what happened. I just have to wait and see.
Wanderport history should be viewed as two periods- 1) Barry Sommerville as CEO period, 2) post Barry. It is a pretty much two different management and business. IMO, the firm has been much cleaner and BS free for almost the past year and a half.
I hope so, because at this point I have no idea who really said the FACTS. I think that we all should check one's history before deciding who we should trust.
This is so far just an informal one that we plan to visit the trade show in October. Date and place are yet to be confirmed.
I know, Gold. Between this hearing and a trade show, the MCMWH would be done shortly. It is the only way out. LOL....
Thanks, Lexit.
I think his schedule to make a statement/or to get questioned with AMF is in September.
