how about stock restrictions? My biggest concern, having never used any of these smaller ones but only read others complaints, is that they sometimes have buy/sell restrictions. I dont want to ever be in a stock that my broker says I can't sell now, etc...
Do you personally use and recommend Zecco or just know of others who do?
Hey Everyone,
I've received a few emails lately on my website from people wanting to get into stocks and wanted input on what online brokers to use. Since they have small amounts of money to put in, they can't use a well known broker like fidelity. Anyone have experiences with these and can help me quickly determine today which ones you guys recommend? Than I can pass that info along and hope it helps. Thanks

Kudrna's Stock Market Blog
Think of it as adding more shares that need to be bought for the price to go up. If enough shares get out there and people aren't willing to buy them up for the price anymore...than it ticks down until buyers come in again.
a quick example is as follows:
I don't think a lot of people want to pay $1 for CTIC so I short 50k shares at $1. My broker allows me to borrow those shares from him and he floods the market with sell orders of 50k more shares at $1. Now let's say 100's of other people have the same idea and do what I just did.
Now the long's are put in a position of having too many shares at $1 than they are willing (or able) to buy. Now the price must tick down because people not only are shorting CTIC but we have normal longs trying to lock in profits by selling their shares as well.
Simple supply/demand economics comes into play now and the supply significantly increased. The price decreases until it gets to a level that the longs are willing to buy again but the long's want cheap stocks so they keep buying lower.
Now many long's get scared that the price just dropped so much so they scramble to sell more shares thinking the stock is going to tank and they will lose their money so they flood the market with more shares. Panic now happens in the stock so long's rush to sell.
..and the cycle continues until the shorts cover (buy back shares at the lower price therefore decreasing the amount of shares) and the stock starts to increase again.
Hope that helps...if not, just message me on my blog.
I always buy in increments and that's what I teach on my blog.
Worst case, you miss some gains by not being fully invested but you always have extra protection to the downside which in the long run means your losses are less damaging therefore your gains are that much greater. Good luck out there.
thin volume now...we could see some volatile moves
I refuse to rely on a chart on a news driven battleground like this. Panic changes the game of a chart VERY quickly. Regardless, GL out there.
I'd like to see the volume increase after lunch...it has slowed down quite a bit from earlier.
I can imagine writing an article on my website/seekingalpha based on "stay tuned" rumors...I think I'll keep that information to myself and enjoy the rewards if its true, ha
any hugs or secret handshakes involved? could be a big indicator.
yea I'm short "global warming" at the moment
I absolutely love the dry heat in July when I typically go. I can literally smell the fantastic "polluted" air that I have grown accustom to as my vacation scent, ha
Agreed, I don't think we go back to the low .006's unless we receive bad news. I was shocked we stayed strong over .007 and we obviously have strong support at these levels.
"Stay Tuned" would be a reason to think it's something positive/big. However I'd hate to gamble on such a nonchalant quote.
If we continue to increase, I feel the need to sell some of my position into strength again and buy back lower again. I just can't see the PPS staying strong like this without news to sustain it.
Im a fan of MGM and their lazy river pool. It looks like we'll get our .04 but will we get good weather?
Anyone know how to get a hold of Al Gore? I want this Global Warming to kick in so Vegas is 100 degrees for our visit.
When we get to .04...I'll be taking a mini vacation. Vegas anyone?
Question for the board. Without any positive news coming out (even including general stem cell stock news)...why will this bounce stand firm OR do you expect it to be short-lived? As far as I can tell, we all expect good news at some point in time but it seems pure speculation to say we will receive any within 30 days. Any evidence to suggest we will receive some sooner than later?
Without news, I can't see this staying at these levels however I was wrong in anticipating it to move back to .0059 where I wanted to accumulate more.
Very strong lately...very happy. My readers from the blog have been emailing me thanking me for informing them about CBAI. GL out there.
100 mil volume already
Updated my readers on my blog (link below) that I am still accumulating shares of GOIG today. I must say, of all the stocks I've talked about recently, I've received the most emails about GOIG. GL out there.
Mike
60 mil volume already
I hope everyone enjoyed those cheap shares...I know I did and I'm getting hungry for more.
I don't...it is holding up amazingly well with no news. I'm loading up now but still leaving room just in case it dips lower. I'm very surprised however biotech has been favorable as a group as of late too which is something to keep in mind.
Authorized shares means they CAN dilute further up to that number but doesn't necessarily mean they will. They just want to extend the authorized shares number so that when/if they decide to dilute again, they can do it quicker instead of having to wait for an authorized shares increase to be approved at a shareholders meeting.
Doc, I'm showing .0032 as last trade on fidelity...what are you showing?
I'm starting to think we will see some consolidation tomorrow before we move another leg up. Big jumps up in PPS will start to take a bit more work from the bulls to make it happen now. I expect shorts to jump in and possibly get crushed with this bullish volume. Would have been much happier to see us above .0035 though...so we might trade in the .002 - .003 range tomorrow to which I'll add more.
the bigger the jump we make...the more vulnerable to shorts we become which is part of my breather thesis...the question is when. if we close near our highs...I dont know when. If we close well off our highs...could be sooner than we think
The chart continues to impress with no indication of a breather anytime soon...but im still hoping for one so that I can load up even cheaper. either way, im still buying on the way up
weird sales of 5k lots again....reminder of last week
Loading up on GOIG, among others
Article
Good luck out there
very huge...if i remember correctly, we were well over 130 mil before noon.
I have scattered limit orders in case we dip off the highs.
only two stocks im trying to add today seem to be GOIG and GNPR. Might add GLD if it dips under 104 but i dont think it will. GL out there.
yup...i expect this to hit many stop losses and we receive a bounce later in the day. I'd be shocked if we close over .70 now
Unfortunately people still purchase at market orders rather than limit orders
passed another test...lets hope it doesnt test again because the more it does, the less likely it will succeed.
agreed...shockingly I think we hit more buy orders than sell orders at .75. encouraging news.
tapering off on low volume...trending towards .75 but if that is hit, could signal many stop losses
I believe we have too much negative media sentiment to jump over $1 without some verifiable good news about this meeting. Shorts definitely increased today and will try to take us out one leg at a time right now.
If we get a favorable review, those shorts will panic, cover, and we can see huge gains. If the review isn't favorable...we can easily break below today's lows.
I don't see why this drug shouldn't be approved in situations of little hope which is what the patients in the study had at that time...little hope. That is why the low number of patients in the study is irrelevant to me. This isn't a drug for everyone, at any level of health deterioration. This is a drug for those that have little hope...and it should be approved easily for that.
However, like I always say, I have little trust in any governing body making the right decision.
That's the gamble...nobody has any technical information to be able to say what and where it will end at the moment. It is pure speculation. We don't know how many new buyers will come in with large purchases OR current buyers who will want to add significantly. We also don't know how many current holders will sell portions of their positions because many are starting to profit significantly already.
I'm gambling we have some profit takers that can bring this stock down to some cheap prices if we are quick to move. I'm just not a fan of constantly buying at new highs unless I absolutely have to. 30 days is a lot of time for this stock to become volatile...and lets face it, penny stocks are volatile.
I think the site may bring some big buyers than some big sellers. It's an emotional catalyst for the stock to jump on the news of the website being released but it still is only a website and does nothing to change the true catalyst nor the fundamentals. I tend to sell into emotional catalysts and buy back when that fades. Only time will tell how right I am...but I wouldn't be surprised if we gradually increase all the way to the release date with no real breathers.
The chart is looking bad now if we can't hold at $.76. Going to need some aggressive buyers this afternoon and today to bring back up but I don't think we'll see $1 before the meetings as the panic has set in this stock so people won't overpay now.
I think we will find some last minute buyers willing to gamble tomorrow to bring the PPS up into the meetings
