So...of course the ride home cost me.
I chased to $3.55 and did not have a successful flip of the gap and first HOD in the beginning of the day. So I lost a few shares but still ended with more than I had before "The Day". There are some added costs such as the gains I made that are now lost due to buying in at the higher pps...but...there is no way in hell I was going to be out for tomorrow and Monday. So no matter what it does tomorrow I won't be trading I will be holding.
I swear I have just enough luck to keep me in the game but not enough to get ahead and feel like I have finally won. I really thought today would be that day, and really it was only for a gain of 500 shares, instead I lost 300 shares.
There is no way I would have thought a gap as big as it was today would have cost me especially when I sold at the near HOD in the beginning of the day. This kinda bummed me out. Now watch the pps drop right before closing bell to below my buy in, that would just be one in your face moment more to make this a sucky try at flipping.
It isn't as serious as I make it seem, I am just venting.
Oh, the "they" in my mind is us. The governemnt has no fear.
But all that aside a bit too ddep for me :)
Gee..
I am getting off my shift and have a 30 minute ride home...
Now either it will drop to my DLO or it will syrocket and I will be SOL. (crosses fingers)
GlTA
Fear has been instilled, don't you feel it?
I never thought I would find myslef hoping for the pps to go down...seems so sinister.
But...just 10 more cnets to 3.34 and I WIN!!! I will have finally beaten the game for a day...oh I can almost taste it.
I may up my buy price to 3.38 though, just to be on the safer side, I don't want to be out of this for opening bell tomorrow.
One more edit, I am only hoping for a quick dip then a jump up like happened yesterday... :)
Yes, in hindsight, that is exactly how that "super power" works.
You (anyone) can have that ower too!! If you learn to read charts and have a great radio voice. That'll be $99.99 + tax please.
:)
No one has talked much about the gap today, which is rather substantial, not a few pennies.
Does anyone think the gap is gonig to fill even partially today?
I have my buy order in @3.34 (FMCC)...
I am hoping it will take a final dive before power hour and then come lunging up for air like it did yesterday. If not I could be chasing and loose what little advantage I have.
Thoguhts? Anyone else siting on teh sideline waiting for it to dip close to yesterdays close?
It would be bad for business.
yeah (shakes fist) I see someone is propping it up with a mop handle.
Yesterday the low point of the dip didn't occur until about 11:30 est...so that is when I will be paying most attention. As I am at work just in case it gets busy I have an order in at 3.34.
GLTU :)
Thank you very much for that post :)
I am going to swim in it for a while myself :)
I'll be looking for that today and making my play...
Provided I don;t suddenly get busy at work and miss the op, which has happened so many times...
GLTU if you play that game today :)
Just an fyi, saw your post about your rernty...
I too waited till half the day was over and missed the $3.00 hollar fire sale. I bought at 3.23, but I (like you I am sure now) struggled all day with the uncertainty and obvious risk had it done like it did the day before, and the day before that.
Many people here post only the positives about their experiences with investing and make it seem as though it all just comes naturally and they are always winners.
I try to post the anger, rage, delight I experience so others on this board might see some commonality and realise they are not the only ones struggling to get ahead in this game, and that they are nt the only ones learning on the job so to speak.
The people who bought at .30 and below have plenty of buffer before they see their initial investment in jeopardy. I felt quite comfy when we were over $5.00 for the same reason. I asure you, if their postion of comfort is ever compromised you will see a dramatic change in thier tune and the melody won't be so sweet.
Hopefully the day will come when those of us in a more compromising position today will see great comfort zones as we watch all the new commers struglel like we are now.
You are not alone :)
Back in at 3.23 (FMCC).
Not the low but not the high either, we will see what comes tomorrow.
GLTA
I am not certain this discovery hearing is going to be the windfall people think.
The purpose of the discovery is ONLY to determine if that specific court has JURISDICTION to prodeed.
I think this will be a baby step and might serve to stabilize the pps, but not shoot it back to $6.00.
Am I wrong about my view?
Probably wouldn't find many well experienced traders wasting their time with iHub either. Why would "they" bother?
Yes Detearing bought at 3.30 and MH said 3.30 was a good re-entry point but to take care (don't quote me, but I am pretty sure).
I will watch for a little longer but I plan to be in before the end of the day. The low threes would make it worth my while to make up from some missed gains and increase my shares.
Thanks
GLTA
Anyone else waiting on the lunch time lull for a pull back to get in?
I wanted so badly to buy at 3 but my nerves just wouldn't let me push the button.
I am thinking maybe an afternoon dip to 3.10...then back up for a close around 3.25....
Anyone else have any thoughts? ANyone think this "run" is a temp spike and we might still end up beow 3.00 come tomorrow morning?
(I honestly was expecting it to run down to the MA200...if the MM's are truly manipulating the stock then why stop at 3 and not go for broke?)
That is the bestest of the best :)
Thank you thousands for a sound technical analysis, my chart reading skills leave a lot to be desired so I really appreciated being able to read a good analyses that I can try to make an informed decision from.
GLTA
Are you sure about that?
Several days ago many people were saying as long as the MA50 holds we are good. If it broke the MA50 then plan on it testing the 200.
To me it seems "bottoms" here are temporary at best the last week and bounces are hard to catch as they too disappear rather quickly.
I want to get back in but I am just not convinced we have hit bottom, so I may be a spectator for a while.
(for a while in stock terms = until the tides turn :)
I sure hope if its going to the 200 ma...I sincerely ish it to get there before the closing bell so we can all start of tomorrow heading in the right direction (for the bulls). If it is going to go lower than that then damn just do it now and get it over with so we can start making money.
GLTA
Thanks for the erply.
You are in about as low a position as one could hope, took some guts to get in back then, more so than now so kudos to you.
I am hoping to improve my position which is why I have lately been getting in and out. I did not buy in today when it hit 3.00 though I have to say that looked pretty yummy...but I am a bit jittery and think i will wait a day or two and see where we land after the bounce euphoria wears off.
GLTU :)
I am on the sidelines this time. I bought and sold and mucked it all up recently. My guess is some of these folks have been right more often than not when i comes to drops in pps...so I am gonna wait a day or two and see where it goes.
I would ask your thought but you say you don;t pay too much attention to the pps for this stock due to your take on release from c-ship.
But, if you were buying, where would you be looking to add to your position?
Myself, I can't figure why the price is still falling, after the knife dropped and planted itself in the floor, I really thought we would go sideways for a while. This continued down "trend" (I use that term lightly atm), is inexplicable, for that reason there is no telling how low it will go now on fear and bad sentiment. I know I am looking for another stock to sit my funds in to try to make a few dolars while I wait...just haven't found one yet.
ok, why 1.87?
I am looking for a good reentry, and if you have it on good analysis that we are going under 2 bucks, I wouldn't mind some supporting info. PM if you like or put it to the board, either way I take info from all sides.
Thanks for not sticking it to me, you could have :)
My unrealized gain was my "loss" thought I am still up %100 of my initial investment, so my angst is only that I could have been up %1000.
I sold today to protect what I could of my gains and hope to buy back in at a lower price to better my postion, then get back to my long position which I lost.
This is a tough game lately with FnF...emotions run high for everyone and the uncrtaintly and shady (at best) actions of the government are enough to drive anyone batty.
I am going to stay out for a few days this time, yesterday and today shoudl not have happend after the initial drop/bounce from the "news". My hope is if it goes lower I will be able to take advantage this time and beat the MM's at their own game for once.
Just one time, that's all I ask :)
I did update my post, I made a mistake and forgot I don't hold FNMA anymore, in the heat of the moment I made that post and forgot to add that I was holding FMCC...which I posted when I lost my money on teh drop from %6.00.
I aplogize again and see how you might have thought I was posting fear. I wasn't I just should not have posted here at all.
You couldn't be more wrong about me.
I did forget to mention I sold FMCC. I guess I can see how that would be confuing and seem like fear mongering now that I look back on it.
My apologies to the board.
Out at 3.47...
Looks like my candle stick theory was not even close to right.
Had to fight to get out step by step.
Now if Blue is right and it dives to $1.00 I will have one more opportunity to increase my shares.
I am surprised we did not recover form thzt freakin stupid "proposal". Sadly, now it looks like it will take positive news to get up moving back up, no more momo to do it on its own.
GLTA.
I do like your emoticaons, they make me smile.
Feel like I am at the ball game or bowling :)
Thanks dadx4, my work computer blocks some of iHubs sites from time to time so I couldn't do it myself. I tried.
So, any other opinions on the haps today? I am jsut down slightly and could sell at the bell and wait for it to drop, my luck I will do that and it will go up instead. I really don't want to hold though because that will eat away more at the gains I have made since first entering FNMA over the summer, where I could use the money I have now to buy lower. Gonna keep my finger on the trigger and see where it goes, up first would be a great I need to recover 3.5k $.
What to do what to do what to do.
ANyone else conflicted? I hate it that everyone who posts hre seems to have it all "under control"...I konw I don't.
Looking at the cadle for yesterday, it appears the buyers had more control than the sellers, smaller wick at the top than the bottom, which (imh and untrained opinion) means we go up today, even if only at the start. SO I think I will hang on for the open and hope my interpretation is correct.
So, the author thinks our policy makers think t is unfair for the government to be in the real estate busines (basically) when there are private markets that are willing to fill that roll?
Pandering to the sheeple.
OBAMACARE.
Well, rgardless of who is telegraphing their moves before or after they happen, I wish I had someone in my circle of friends to help me "beat" the market once or twice so I could gain some free shares.
GLTA - hopefully that line thingy in the chart starts pointing upward by the end of the day.
S.O.B.!!!
I can;t get a break on selling at the high and buying back at the low to gain more shares.
Things seemed so positivee at the start of the day so I didn;t sell and then BAHM!
How the heck can these folks here say they sold at the highest of the day and then say they bought at the low again?
Just one time, just once I would like to do it too and increase my shares but it happens so damn fast around here and you never know if it is a slight pull back or a knife dropping.
Again S.O.B.!
Got back into FMCC today at 4.03.
That gap this morning and the sideways trading at the begining of the day had me too nervous. Once we punched though 4.00 the second time I felt a little more comfortable that it wasn't going to crash back to the 3.80's...I hope I and everyone lse here is right :)
GLTA
I don't trust the huge gap up on FnF today...I intended to get in but I was on the phone at work and couldn't keep up with pre-market.
I have no idea what I will do today, I think I will just sit and watch and see if it comes back to fill the gap early. In fact I will put in an order just in case.
Anyone else have thoughts on what today may bring?
GLTA
I thought Crapo's "proposal" to dissolve FnF and create this new beast or burden was supposed to be revealed "Later this week", the last day of the week is tomorrow so it is pretty much expected.
Denise mentioned it earlier as did I and a few others.
Just something to watch for.
GLTU
I hope you are wrong about "our socialist government"...if they are that then we are all screwed and they GSE's will never be released.
GLTU :)
Sold my position in FMCC at 3.66...it seemed like nothing was happening after the lunch hour, and this is not normal for FNMA and FMCC. Right after I sold things started sliding down.
Glad I did, made a small profit. Hope I don't regret it today. Truth be told I kinda wanted out before tomorrow.
I think tomorrow I will wait to see this proposal and how it affects F n F pps.
I sincerely hope we stay above $3.00 when the dust settles, that was also a major hurdle in the past.
(I am only posting my sell because so many people say they are buying and holding, hardly anyone ever says they sell that are pro FNMA...I think some people would feel better about their decisions if people were a little more honest about how they play the market. I am pro FnF, until the dive I had been in since 1.20)
GLTA
I believe the discovery issue relates only to the "takings" issue.
I think the issue of winding down (Crapo's proposal) is not related (directly).
Not saying one doesn't affect the other, but I think it is an important distinction to keep in mind as you choose to buy, hold or sell.
Lunch hour's over....time to enjoy the ride back up!
Wow, no reason to yell at the lady. SHe has been nothing but polite to everyone on this board.
She is absolutley correct and it is something that has been on my mond all day too and if it isn't on yours your a fool.
Not much of a lunch dip on either FNMA or FMCC...
Looking pretty solid if you ask me.
