I thought I'd post a chart--mainly to see if I could get it to work. :)
First, let me say that I think the chart for a FLD is completely worthless (as numerous people have already pointed in various ways, including Monk at the PHX Monkinar who, by the way, didn't seem that concerned about the flippers coming and going).
If you really understand what's going on here and the power of Monk's team working together, you'll just buy it, hold it, and wait for the big squeeze payday.
Anyway, here is a 60 min chart. Although admittedly useless in the case of CDIV, I do like how my trendline bodes for tomorrow. Enjoy.
Sorry to hear that, LoneGrey. I just said a prayer for you and your family.
Just said a prayer for him now
I agree...I only lasted about a month or so with him...it's certainly like night and day being part of this group instead of that one.
That movie was hilarious. One of my wife's favorite movie scenes in in that movie--the scene in which they're watching TV at the parent's house, and the older guy is making fun of the size of the kid's head.
Here is the scene if you haven't seen it:
Not sure I should admit this, but in my pre-Den days when I first started trading (about 8 months ago), I was part of another group that was run by a guy who (supposedly) used to be an analyst for Lehman Bros. and then a MM. He would hold webinars a few times a week that one could "GoToMeeting" into and even ask questions if you had a headset with a mic. He'd go over charts and discuss the psychology of the MM's. Some of it was really interesting and sure rang true, and some of it seemed pretty bogus. The main reason I left the group and started looking for a new one (which was when I found the Den) was because I was losing money following the guy's advice. The guy was also a bit of a lune and was prone to some pretty angry and childish outbursts at times. He would kick people out of the group if they questioned him much or just said something that he didn't like. He also seemed to really exaggerate his experience, so I'm not sure how much of what he said was really true or just figments of his imagination. Anyway, very glad to be out of that group and part of this one--a completely different dynamic here (and I mean that in an extremely 1positive way).
Welcome back, DOG. I was in PHX but obviously missed meeting you there. Very glad to hear that your mom is doing better. My daughter was in hospice for almost a year and just recently came out of it, so I can definitely relate to the big ups and downs of having family with health problems.
Hi also to the rest of the Den...I have been just swamped with the w*** since returning from PHX, so I haven't been posting much. Anyway, could we all really focus on getting these squeezes done so that I can quit the old w***? Thanks.
I'll try not to...anyway, off to the mines now, catch everyone later
Morning, Sir...just briefly checking in before starting w***. While we all appreciate what and all you do, you certainly deserve the time off. Have a great time!
Thanks. So you're saying what happens in PHX doesn't stay in PHX. I'm sure the Den is now looking forward to some of those posts.
OK, it's only 2:30 here, so I should probably get back to w*** now.
Nice meeting you as well. Since I'm on the west coast can actually spend an hour or two trading (paper only right now) before I get going with my w***.
Was my bald spot very noticeable? I really try hard to cover it up.
Hi all, just wanted to say thanks to Monk and Mel for a great (and very enlightening) PHX Monkinar as well as thanks to the rest of you who attended for a great time. It's certainly nice to put faces with the names.
I'm officially back at w*** catching up today. I'm also now about a thousand posts behind whenever I get a chance to check in on the Den.
For those practicing their paper trading of the F's or Q's, I have Ameritrade among others. I think their normal tools are somewhat lame, but I actually like ThinkOrSwim. One nice thing about it is that you can log in to a papermoney account and trade it just like your normal account (i.e. all the same tools, setup, etc. that you would use for the real thing). If you happen to do this, I noticed that some of the data (e.g. level 2 and streaming quotes) is delayed 20 minutes while some of it is real time (e.g. the streaming charts). This was very confusing until I figure out what was going on. I called them up (email actually), and they said they would be happy to make everything real time for the papermoney account. Anyway, in case anyone else is using thinkorswim or thinking about it for paper trading, I thought I'd mention this.
Now I just need C to squeeze so that I can trade the F's for real. Oh well, at least it gives me time to practice before then.
Morning Monk...when are you going to stop posting and start class? :)
Great post, BillyJack...I'm in PHX as well and agree 100%, although I will mention that I didn't get a cookie for desert and BillyJack got two...now I know where my cookie went. I'm taking yours tomorrow--just kidding.
Off to sleep now...need to get up at some crazy hour in the morning so that we can all learn how to day trade the F's live tomorrow--looking forward to it.
Hey nice close everyone for a slow Friday with lots of people gone. I see the 101 slap (which would have given .42) just missed the close by 39 seconds.
For those going to or already in PHX, I'll see you there...finishing up some things at work and then off to catch a plane.
I'm thinking next week could be a really good week for CDIV.
Catching up on all the posts for the day...very funny
Dear MM’s of CDIV,
We didn’t have an address to send this to you, but since we know you follow this board…
Today was one of your better efforts to scare people. We certainly appreciated the usual dropping of the stock even though the buys far outnumbered the sells. You really put some extra effort into that today. You maybe even caused a couple people to panic a bit and sell. We especially appreciated the timely appearance of the bashers. (Do you actually call them to let them know exactly when to post or is it a text or email system? Just curious.) However, in the future, they would be far more convincing if they seemed like they had more than a third grade education. (We apologize for offending any third graders that might have read their posts. We wouldn’t want to be compared to them either.) We’d mention the slow board as well, but we don’t want to sound paranoid.
Anyway, your tactics are just not working. We can continue these funs and games as long as you want, but we’re willing to make this offer to speed things up (and make it cheaper for you in the long run). After all, you must have other stocks to worry about and so do we. Here’s our offer: Just run the price up to $4 dollars tomorrow, and we’ll sell you everything you need to fill (we mean cover) your shorts and then some. After that, we can all go our separate ways. However, if you don’t accept our offer, we may have to raise the price in the future.
Sincerely,
The CDIV stock holders
P.S. Please don’t call iHUB and get us thrown in jail for this letter. Thanks.
Not the answer I was hoping for, but that'll work.
No kidding. Can someone loan me money? I'm all tapped out, and it's killing me. I'll start paying you back shortly when it hits $2.50
are you sure? As far as I can tell, BO seems to be really focused on keeping people unemployed.
I guess I should have qualified "agenda"...if that's what it is, sign me up.
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first...it just seemed too good to be true (those people and Monk must have some sort of agenda...lol). I'm no longer skeptical and am really looking forward to PHX.
Wow, ExBlockman, like a lot of other people have already said, that really is a great and very encouraging story.
I've only been here about a month now, but even my limited experience with Monk tells me he is a very unique guy. Anyone as busy as Monk is who responds to a PM from some random person he doesn't even know (i.e. me) with a message saying call me at this number is kind of amazing. I did call him, and after I got off the phone, I was scrambling to try to figure out how to adjust my schedule and convince my wife that I needed to go to something called a Monkinar in PHX. She's still a little skeptical of the whole thing, but the past month of CDIV is starting to make her a believer.
Anyway, I'm guessing you'll be in PHX as well, right? It'll be nice to meet you and some of the other people behind all these posts.
Wow, just taking a quick break at work to see how it's going. I'm not sure if I'm more impressed by the price or the number of posts. lol
Wish I had more funds to help the cause, but I'm all tapped out at this point. However, at the rate it's going, I'll have a lot more to contribute to the next one when this squeeze is done. Thanks, Monk. Excited to see where it closes today.
Good morning, Monk. No need to reply--just glad to hear that your wrist wasn't broken.
Oh, is that the special "CDIV drops when I'm not wearing this hat" hat? If so, by all means, keep it on. I'll even wear one too if it helps.
Is that you in the picture? You might want to consider a new hat to go with the hotrod--kidding...
Thanks. I'm hoping that if I hang around here long enough, I might be able to ditch the work thing at some point. I'll definitely keep the wife and kids, however. lol
Cool. I was really excited to have found this place as well. I don't have a ton of time to post myself (work and 3 small kids), but it's a very friendly group.
AS far as target prices go, some of the more experienced people could give you a better idea, but the target (as I understand it) is related to where the MM's finally start to cover. So since CDIV is already in the mid .30's and no cover yet, you could probably expect at least a decent multiple (5x or even 10x) from the cover point, which means probably at least a dollar if not a few dollars.
Welcome. I'm fairly new around here as well. The Den iBox is definitely worth checking out, and the 3 sticky posts on the CDIV board are also worth reading if you're not familiar with the whole float lock-down/short squeeze idea (if you haven't read all those already).
I bought EIGH through Scott as my TDA account wouldn't let me. I also have a zecco account with no money in it at this point. Don't know if I'm going to fund it with CDIV proceeds or open a Just2Trade instead (which Monk said he uses for some of the pennies).
By the way, CDIV closed great. God job everyone...wish I wasn't out of money to continue to help the cause.
very funny...just read it to my wife...she was cracking up also
Not me either. In fact, picked up a little bit more CDIV on the dip.
I'd place a bet that the G-stock makes a substantial dip before really running (e.g. MM games and people who got in near the top today get impatient or panic on any small sells and bail). We'll see. Just IMHO. CDIV, however, I think will continue to remain very strong given the past two weeks.
Put in an order on the ask at .265...sat there for over a minute until NITE dropped the ask to .26 and then filled it. lol
Excellent. CDIV has helped my portfolio out a ton as well.
I want to be one too, and it may take a while. However, I really believe it's possible now being part of this group and not just wishful thinking.
Yup, that's one thing I've definitely learned the past few weeks following Monk, the den, and CDIV. You gotta have some patience. Trying to jump from one thing to the next and chase stuff will just get you burned (certainly gotten burned enough in the past myself in the past doing just that. lol)
Exactly...and then when that one doesn't go up fast enough for them, they'll bail on it as well and end up just slowing down the process for everyone. Oh well, more for those of us continuing to hold. I picked up another 10K at .245. I'll worry about the next lock-up when this one is done.
