I hope you haven't gotten hurt by this one. You strike me as the type who would never go all in on any one deal anyways.
And does Interactive Brokers let the ordinary joe short pennies, can you borrow? Thanks in advance.
Heh, it might be something to do with you and your cheerleading on my board. Nothing against enthusiasm whatsoever, but I intend to enforce thoughtful, provocative discussion. So no pom pom stuff in the future okay?
And by the way, you might want to tell the company to return calls, I phoned yesterday and no one called back.
Suffice to say, I would imagine at .12 cents or so, I will get someone right away. If and when.
No, no, I meant it doesn't work when you go to www.stockwatch.com That is my lithmus test for companies to see if they are working on all cylinders. 45% fail it.
PPTO, in my humble opinion, has been too quiet, and there has been interesting action, albeit very subtle, on the stock in the past week.
I did very well on the last run. I smell another one coming soon.
Bids strong and asks disappearing. Truly the signs to me, of an impending climb.
I know for a fact that you have to be of a certain club to be able to short pinks and bb's.
Even the venerable Tim Sykes is most likely not in that realm. He has to borrow. I think the real players, as long as the stock is below what they short at, are pledged a credit/derivative and allowed to hold indefinitely. But this is for the Mark Cubans and the like.
Where does Tim Sykes short his stocks? I heard it is hard to borrow.
Far be it from me to be negative on a company that has done so well price wise(except if you are short) but the press releases are almost funny. As if the longs are taunting and inviting the shorts in. Nothing so far of any real import.
And that has to be worrisome for those who ARE short. What if they start announcing some real meat?
Thanks guys. Any other suggestions?
Where exactly CAN you short otcbb and pinks? Iceland? Overseas? Any firm in the US?
From what I have gleaned there is literally two camps. Previous and GL. Pretty disparate I would imagine in philosophies.
If there is as much gold here as I suspect, GL, if they are interested in going forward, will probably like to gain full control of the stock.
How they accomplish that is anyones guess. Probably going to refer to the dirty tricks manual 101 as most larger companies do.
Its a fantastic region, and I have great respect for the French Canadian people. They were the only intruders on native Turtle Island people that treated them as equals/humans. So respect.
And your comments are realistic, large companies want huge confirmation that prospective mines are loaded with material.
Still, having experienced considerable dealings with small and large getting together, I have seen things that are beyond strange.
I don't talk to anyone from either Goldlake or SLTA, but I would bet dollars to donuts that Goldlake requested silence on the location of the latest test.
Anyways, its all speculation, it would be helpful for Fabio to give a state of the union address. But if Goldlake is up to some tricks, we probably will have a fairly lengthy beard before that happens.
As always, the ticker will probably tell the most truth.
Ahh, the first poster from Goldlake with a typical web 2.0 program to discourage any small investors from buying at a bottom. Seen it too many times.
Is it really Marco? And your English is not too bad, but its pretty obvious you are European. Italian?
Looks ready to go.
A friend told me to watch it, wouldn't tell me anything overly exciting, just said it was getting poised. He has generally been very good with picking little ones that go up quite a bit.
So now I am on a fact finding mission. Tell me more about this 400 million shares to ISSUE. That seems like a lot of stock.
Anyone here know much about the company?
The link for the website doesn't work on www.stockwatch.com
Has anyone else?
I hear some good things.
will contact you tomorrow. And I have seen weirder than this. Quite honestly, to me, it indicates that there is some serious gold here. BUT, unless SLTA knows what it is dealing with, GL will possibly pull a lot of chequebook control stunts.
Taking care of friends and family? What cracks me up is the regions of the world that are encouraging these huge monoliths of wind and solar farms by promising that they will buy energy from the installer at way over the present price.
Again. Could be a shakeout. A hunch tells me that one or two other groups are going to approach SLTA with some possible alternatives.
Its almost like they wanted a scenario where if they fail, they win, if they win, they WIN.
Italians have always been great bullies. My bet, is that they will NOT walk away, but try to negotiate with their chequebooks again.
With Gold where it is, and the US buck cheap now, SLTA is a pain in the ass for current stock holders, but a possible prize for ones looking on the outside right now.
I will say to the investors who are feeling burned so far. My experience with gold companies is varied and diverse. And the biggest potential properties have all kinds of strange things happen to GAIN control of the property.
I have not followed this company as closely as I should, but as soon as I saw GoldLake get involved I felt that they would pull some stunts to get the price and control in their favour. Seen some beauties in my day. Stuff that a logical person cannot fathom.
Best thing would be for them to walk, but my bet is that they ain't going anywhere. Gold RULES.
ShawnJon. I have a slew of investors who are interested in this company. Any email address I can get you at? Sorry, not a subscriber on this chatboard.
Its a solid little company. It could run hard and fast, or it could creep, but it should go higher. Just my personal opinion. No affiliation.
Heh, you needed them to tell you that? Someone was defintely picking away and reaching for offers. Always a buy sign for me.
Goldlake knows what its doing. But they also know investigating remote areas away from the known gold vein are a win win. If they find gold, its a huge win for them without having to do much.
If they don't find anything, the inherited investors of SLTA panic and their people can quietly, silently accumulate while they appear to lose interest in a project that they deep down, know contains billions of dollars of gold.
I could be wrong, but seen it before.
Probably be months before anything becomes clear here. Somebody will get some cheap stock in the 3 cent range. And then it will morph into something else and probably run again. Such is the way of small companies.
The stock is obviously priming up for a run. Only 80 some odd million shares, appears to actually have a nice running business in a sector that is HOT, and they don't throw out press releases in an errant fashion like many others would do.
I am anticipating .06 next week, even though it is a short week. Just my opinion.
I wouldn't be surprised by prices higher than that either. A lot of small orders yesterday. Interesting.
Uh, don't look now but there are NO offers of any note. Period. Heh, I think Goldlake is enjoying this stock and is accumulating, whilst not going out of their way to let anyone else have an easy time to grab the cheap paper.
When big money plops on the table, its fun to watch who gets the knife and fork.
Just my opinion, but it looks like someone wants pape.
Where can you buy them?
Its actually brilliant to have the skull and cross bones on this stock. If the results are outstanding, only certain investors will be able to get in. Friends and family of GoldLake. Many short termers will be blocked. Its brilliant.
Are their Qdots to sell? I thought he was IR myself.
Is Tom Breckles involved?
Is Al Drizen involved still?
How many shares outstanding?
This looks very new and exciting.
How is the mood around here? Still believe?
