The information is reported to the SEC. The company is just requesting that the information be excluded from Freedom of Information Act requests for information.
In my previous post, I jumped the gun getting all ticked off about lack of transparency. In all likelyhood, the information that LQMT wants to keep confidential pertains to NDAs or other agreements that must be reported but could have a negative competitive impact if it became public information.
I don't know how common it is that a CT is filed, but I am guessing it is not uncommon at all ... especially for companies with proprietary technology and confidential agreements with major customers / suppliers.
This is what you call total and blatant lack of transparency. And what happens when you blatantly thumb your nose at your shareholders, they bail ... which is exactly what is happening today. Steipp is just as big a crook as Kang imo. He just covers his ass legally when he does it.
Glad to hear it Jimmy. Feel free to keep it to yourself.
"Volume is low but interest is high" ?
Please explain how you are measuring interest in this stock if not by volume.
Thank you.
I sure wish I understood your agenda Golong ... you get all excited under your various alias' about the little ticks up and down of LQMT when there is absolutely no news and really hardly any trading activity. We have not even traded $40,000 in market cap yet today. You better go tweak that proprietary trading algorithm so you can make some rationale sense out of getting so excited over 125,000 shares of volume in a $.29 stock!
Come on man!
Truly unfortunate that some of our best posters are choosing to stay away due to the deterioration of this board caused by empty and repetitious posts with no substance by people with hidden agendas.
Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Keep throwing those cynical, passive aggressive barbs out at the good DD posters and eventually they will all be gone. Then you can talk to yourself ad nauseum and no one will interrupt you.
As if we needed confirmation that you guys are one in the same ... this post sure does it.
Good luck on your agenda Golong22Jimmy777. LOL
Better check that "proprietary technical analysis". Huge blocks going off on the buy side??? Hard to figure even one "huge block" when total shares traded are only 128k. Go ahead and load if that is what you think ... but hearing it ad nauseum from you is older than old.
Sorry to burst your bubble golong, but no one here is foolish enough to make buy/sell decisions on LQMT based on a message board posters "advice".
Good luck with that agenda.
ps ... photos of self???? Again, I doubt anyone would be foolish enough to actually include a photo of themself, either full or partial on an internet message board. Come on man!!!
Comical really ... your "proprietary technical indicators" tell you that because volume dried up, selling has stopped? That is some pretty invaluable insight there golong. Do your "proprietary technical indicators" also tell you that when volume dries up that buying also has stopped?
Too much really. I can only say, I hope you didn't pay anything or spend any time developing this valuable proprietary technical program of yours. Those resources could have gone toward a charity that could have gotten some value out of them as opposed to ZERO.
Good luck with your agenda ... whatever it may be. :)
... until it goes lower. :(
Hard to imagine someone applying an invaluable "proprietary technical algorithm" to a $.30 stock that rarely has enough volume to mean anything on a technical basis. But hey, have fun with that. The deep insights that you share as a result of that PTA are sure appreciated on this board. How else would we know when to "LOAD"!!! :)
There is nothing about onewhoknows post that will get it deleted. Posts don't get deleted because they are negative as you obsessively post in here. They get deleted because they are not about LQMT the company or the stock. Usually they are about another poster or they are attacking in some way.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and perspectives. I am sure that there have been countless times that many here have thought the same thing about posts made even by the most famous poster here but they had the class not to degrade and criticize. Would appreciate the same.
as is the case with 99%+ of all penny stocks
for now this is just a penny stock. Pure speculation supports it and drives it. Until proven otherwise, there is absolutely nothing to this stock but speculation. All of the jibberish in here means nothing. It is just more noise surrounding an otherwise lackluster stock that has proven to have nothing going for it... so far.
Like all of the other longs in LQMT, I sit here and hold my position in the hopes that Steipp proves to be something more than he has ever demonstrated himself to be. Visser's involvement is about the only reason why I am still hanging onto my shares. If he didn't invest as heavily into this company as he did, I would be long gone.
There is only one way to "get a piece of your apple pie" and that is to buy shares in apple. Please focus on LQMT while posting here. AAPL may or may not happen with respect to any LQMT involvement but it is hardly the only thing supporting or driving the pps.
Anyone who "LOADED" as often as suggested would have a controlling interest in LQMT and would not even know why!
go for it! I prefer not to try and catch falling knives.
I think we are going to need some more TP before the day is done. LQMT just took a big dump! The roll is low.
I think the NDAs have been over used to the extent that Steipp has used them as a veil to cover his incompetency. There are lots of things that Steipp could and should disclose but because he doesn't have a complete grasp of the technological and operational detail of his own business he doesn't feel comfortable doing so. In those cases, he first stumbles over his words and eventually falls back on an NDA as a reason not to say anything. He has done this consistently over the last few conference calls. A year ago I was willing to cut him some slack and say he is new to the company and the industry and needs time to get acclimated and entrenched. After two years at the helm, there is no way he should still be enjoying a honeymoon period.
He should go back to retirement imho.
Just callin' em as I seez 'em!
It is hard to get too excited about any upward movement in this stocks pps right now. As long as volume is this thin, the bid/ask is as wide as it has been, and there is no real news to justify any appreciable move in pps ... the MMs will just keep bringing the price back down and keep this stock from making any consistent move up. Don't understand why they are doing it, but they have been for weeks, if not months. LQMT is nothing but a trading stock until we get some consistent, real, positive news. I think the day will come, but unfortunately have no idea when. I am one of the posters who has lost faith in Steipp and believe it will take his ouster before we see anything happen. At best he is a figurehead and more likely he is a puppet CEO.
I have worked with visionary leaders who have enthusiasm and passion to move a company towards its goals and strategic objectives. To rouse excitement, productivity, and high performance among the ranks and too truly gain commitment from business partners. Thomas Steipp exhibits none of this from what we can see. He is more of a placeholder drone in my opinion. Stumbles through conference calls, negotiates like garbage with partners (probably a laughing stock at both Apple and Visser not to mention Materion and Engle), and has the charisma of a snail.
All just my opinion for what its worth.
I think we know what your answer is golong as you have been saying it now for weeks ... LOAD!!!!!!!!!! lol
Sorry, but that provides no comfort for me at all. If he had something positive to report, and NDAs did not prohibit him from saying it, he would say it. He has got to be getting heat from someone now that he has delivered absolutely nothing after 2 years at the helm. The first year you can give him as a honeymoon if you want to be really generous. But two years ... and the last 3 quarters of building expectations only to not deliver anything. No, I don't think there is anything "not being said" that we can be hoping is a positive and be paying attention to.
He needs to demonstrate something productive before he can be given that kind of leeway anyway. He has delivered ZERO!! He can't be blaming the Kang Gang anymore or anyone else. This is his baby and he is not delivering.
I only hope Visser is not as patient as the BOD seems to be with this do nothing approach. I can't believe he will be. He is a good business man, knows how to run a business, knows how to implement workable strategies that can bring a vision come to reality, and is not going to sit idly by while Steipp fritters away his money.
There must have been more than one LQMT cc yesterday then because the one I heard did not come off as "solid" at all. When the CEO will not even answer a simple question about how many machines were ordered by Visser or when they will become operational, that hardly qualifies as "solid" in my book. And he did not give NDA as a reason for not answering. He just said when things are this early along, blah, blah, blah.
I agree this cc was better than the last two but that is akin to a major league baseball manager stating at the end of a 3rd consecutive last place finish that we had a better season this year than the last two since we lost one fewer games this year.
LQMT is not making the progress that Steipp outlined that they would and he is dancing like crazy in these calls to hide that fact from the shareholders and the investment community at large. Our only hope is that Visser gets fed up with all the BS and starts kicking arse and taking names. Clean out ALL of the deadwood and start running this thing like a business, with competent leadership. I am sick of Steipp's mammbee pammbee droning on these calls just hoping he can get through them without breaking into a coughing jag.
Visser has ordered "more than one machine" ... he wouldn't get anymore specific than that. He also wouldn't say when they would get delivered except to say "probably this fiscal year". Even if they are delivered tomorrow, which obviously they won't, it takes time to receive them, set them up, do test runs and quality control, train the machine operators (maybe not a big deal), configure the new equipment within the production facility to efficiently manufacture parts and get them to shipping, etc...
The new iphone is supposed to be out in October according to most speculators. I just don't see Visser being ready with the number of machines it would take to meet production requirements to do anything for AAPL in this timeframe.
Again, I hate to be the negative guy here as I am very long LQMT, but it just does not seem do-able to be ready to supply AAPL for the next version of iphone.
This call was better than the last two, but I have to say I am just not feeling it like you are Oracle. Steipp was still very evasive with his answers. He wouldn't even say how many or when the new machines that Visser ordered would be delivered. There is no reason why he could not answer that question. He said because it is so early they decided they don't want to release that kind of information. That is ridiculous. That just is a brush off answer and you could tell that the analyst that asked the question knew it was. Steipp still comes off as unenthusiastic, not passionate about what his company is doing, and like he just does not want to show any of his cards at all ... as if he is hiding something. If things were truly going well, I think he would be a lot more enthusiastic and he would be much more willing to answer at least the simple questions that he continues to dance around.
I came away from the call with a negative feeling overall. Still a reluctance to share information, still no REAL progress toward REAL sales, a BS reason for the increase in SG&A, still only 3 prototype customers and no talk of new ones ... I wish I could feel better as I really want to see this company do well. But this call just did not do it for me at all. Hopefully I am just reading it all wrong and am way off the mark and I just don't get it.
I expect to see a pretty big drop off in pps tomorrow morning. But I have never hoped more than I do right now that I totally missed the message and that somehow this call really was positive and everything is going the right way. Personally though, I am losing both trust and confidence in Thomas Steipp as the man to bring this company to the promised land.
has anyone else lost the music on the cc? I am wondering if I have been cutoff. Just sounds like the end of an old LP, needle bouncing against the label. (I know, showing my age)
I sure hope not! With Revenue of only $.2 mil, COS better not be anywhere near $6.3 mil. Seems like very strange reporting of $6.3 mil of expense when there is no revenue to speak of. The matching principle comes to mind and it sure does not look like LQMT is matching expenses to revenue if this $6.3 mil truly is non-cash contract manufacturing expense as they called it.
Should be an interesting call. But again ... only prototype sales, no real sales. Unless they spin a great tale on the cc (not counting on it from Mr. Enthusiasm himself)pps should get hammered tomorrow morning. :(
Time for everyone to get their undies unruffled and put this message board into perspective. There are a few posters in here who are very knowledgeable about metallurgy and a lot of the technical aspects of the business arena that LQMT plays in. We all need to be careful not to let that translate into believing that anyone here actually knows what is going on on the inside of LQMT. Many here are extremely critical of LQMT management based on what we can see, which is very little. So who knows, maybe the criticism is justified but it is equally as likely that it is not. EVERYONE here is guessing as to what LQMT is actually doing. Just like any other reporting company, shareholders will find out what the company has been doing when the company reports their financials, makes filings with the SEC, or decides to make certain developments public via PRs (unfortunately, the PR is not used much by LQMT). But we are only guessing on everything in between these public releases of information.
So if anyone is putting any weight on the speculation they read in here, you do so at your own peril. 95%+ of what is posted in here is not DD but pure speculation.
I hope this is a helpful reality check for some. Others can feel free to take your potshots at me for stating what is surely obvious to you. I really don't care.
... as is the case for just about every successful, major, brand driven marketing organization! It's not conceit, it's good brand management.
Well said ... thanks for expressing so eloquently what many, many board members are thinking.
You may also notice that AUTH is up 64% from yesterday's close. I would say that is a pretty hefty premium for the shareholders! A 64% premium on LQMT current price of .27 would be a little over .44 pps. Not what we are all hoping for when we got into this thing, but certainly better than a gloom and doom .25.
Don't know what is with my computer but I can not seem to open any of the pdf files attached. But from what I can read, this all sure does come together nicely to point to some excellent opportunities for LQMT in the Military channel. Takes a long time to get a Military contract but once in, your in and they can be fairly lucrative.
Hopefully that is what all of this means and it isn't too far off!
I agree ... we ALL should. No need to criticize other posters is part of that. So let's keep it about the stock.
Thanks for your contributions.
I agree with you 100% ob22. You stated this point far better than I did.
Thanks for your efforts Red in trying to keep this message board on the up and up. At times the LQMT board alone must seem like a full time job.
Much appreciated.
This is fine, as long as you don't morph to the Chicago Cubs fan mantra ... "wait til next year"!!!
Good for you watts ... wish I had the available funds right now to be adding to my position. I am in for about as much as I should be now anyway.
Thanks Watts ... already done. As soon as he made it clear that he posts fiction, that wonderful feature was put to use. He is in golong ... I mean, good company. lol
