It's pretty ugly, isn't it.
Supposedly S&P 740 is where we're headed.
After getting clipped a little twice last week I'm not feeling very brave this week.
I'll back up the truck at DOW 1000 - LOL!
Just hit a buck premarket!
There shouldn't be any luck envolved.
It's op ex week.
Half the week is down and half the week is up.
If it doesn't happen this week, starting tomorrow, it'll be the first time in a very long time.
And I'll lose a little more money - LOL!
Yeah, I hear ya.
I grabbed a little at $1.04 and we'll see what tomorrow brings.
Anybody buying here?
Or are you all waiting to see if it breaks $1 again?
The new stimulus plan didn't do you guys & gals any favors...
One more time for the gipper!
In at $2.36, stop at $2.28
I'll get one of these right eventually - LOL!
And that's why I use stops - LOL!
What a fugly close!
I'm in at $2.47
My stop is at $2.41.
It's options expiration week guys. Bears ain't gonna be the only ones making money this week - LOL!
You're right on the bill.
It's a huge flop. I'm expecting more downside.
I almost always use AON. It cost me yesterday. I missed filling at $2.33 because I had it AON. I'm certain a normal order would have filled.
Ya win some and ya lose some.
You've got more guts than I do!
Best of luck.
I'm waiting to see what happens.
Options expiration is next week so things should be wild and wooly in the market.
It came a day after the warning.
So I assume it's baked into those numbers.
Isn't it just an extension of the existing deal?
Maybe I missed something.
I missed grabbing some at $2.30
My order just missed it. It wasn't down there very long - LOL!
I just report the news - LOL!
Watch yahoo news today and tomorrow. I'm expecting a number of downgrades.
Analysts are like weathermen. When they look out the window and see a blizzard, they change their forecast.
Downgrade by Thomas Weisel Partners just out.

JA Solar estimate cut on scaled-back 2009 outlook, expected customer weakness

NEW YORK (AP) -- A lowered 2009 revenue and production outlook, weakness among customers and constrained credit markets prompted a Thomas Weisel Partners analyst to cut his 2009 estimates for JA Solar Holdings Co.
The Chinese solar cell maker on Wednesday lowered its 2009 revenue estimates to a range between $830 million and $952 million, with a target output between 500 and 550 megawatts and a year-end capacity of 875 megawatts, down from earlier estimates of $1.51 billion to $1.7 billion in revenue, with a target output of 800 megawatts and a year-end capacity of about 1 gigawatt.
Analyst Jeff Osborne said the company's guidance is premature and he expects rough times ahead. Osborne lowered his profit estimate of JA Solar to 30 cents per share from an earlier estimate of 60 cents per share. Osborne also reduced the company's price target to $1.50 from $3.
Osborne said solar demand will grow in the long term, but only after credit
JA Solar lowers 2009 revenue expectations

SHANGHAI, China (AP) -- Chinese solar cell maker JA Solar Holdings Co. on Wednesday again lowered its revenue forecast for 2009, citing global financial weakness and tight credit markets.
Shares of the company tumbled on the news, dropping 25 cents, or 8.3 percent, to $2.76 in aftermarket trading, having closed the regular session at $3.01.
The company currently expects 2009 revenue of $830 million to $952 million. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, on average, expect 2009 revenue of $993.8 million.
In November, the company cut its revenue projection to between $1.43 billion and $1.66 billion from a prior forecast of $2 billion to $2.2 billion.
JA Solar's target for total production output is now 500 megawatts to 550 megawatts. The nameplate production capacity by year-end 2009 is now expected to be 875 megawatts.
Based in Shanghai with manufacturing operations in Hebei and Yangzhou, China, JA Solar Holdings is a leading manufacturer of high-performance solar cells. The company sells its products to solar manufacturers worldwide, who assemble and integrate solar cells into modules and systems that convert sunlight into electricity for residential, commercial and utility-scale power generation.
I was worried you weren't out.
But since you are, WAAHOOOOO!!!!
I always worry about getting clipped holding stocks over earnings. Last quarter was a disaster, as you know. Hopefully this is the worst of the news and we can make money from here. Someone knew this was coming yesterday. Looking back, someone was selling all day long.
My only other worry about JASO is how they're going to make up that 100 million they lost when that investment house went belly up. Dilution stinks if I'm long the stock when they announce it - LOL!
If this thing gets down around $2 I'm backing up the truck.
$2.65 premarket right now.
UPDATE 1-JA Solar slashes 2009 revenue view, shares fall
Trading $2.65 as I type.

*Prior view was $1.5 bln to $1.7 bln
*Shares fall 3.7 percent in extended trade
LOS ANGELES, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Chinese solar firm JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (JASO.O) sharply reduced its 2009 revenue forecast, saying tight credit markets and a global economic downturn have hurt demand for solar power.
The company forecast 2009 revenue of $830 million to $952 million, down from a prior view of $1.5 billion to $1.7 billion.
JA Solar shares fell 3.7 percent to $2.90 in extended trade following the announcement. They closed at $3.01 on the Nasdaq. (Reporting by Nichola Groom)
Dumping hard after hours! news!

Looks like they warned for 09.
The company said that worldwide macro economic conditions, tight credit markets and resulting issues with project financing are negatively impacting the solar industry, causing JA Solar to lower its expectations for business in 2009. The company currently expects 2009 revenue to be in the range of RMB 5,668 million or $830 million, to RMB 6,500 million or $952 million. JA Solar's target for total production output is now 500 MW to 550 MW. The nameplate production capacity by year-end 2009 is now expected to be 875 MW.
They're protecting you from yourself - LOL!
On a side note, FSLR just tested and held $141. If it takes out $141 to the down side, look out solar fans!
My ameritrade stuff is working fine.
Over bought.
Just checked the chart this morning and it is over bought on the fast stoch. The RSI is fine. So far no volume today and we're seeing selling pressure. It's lagging FSLR which normally is not a great sign.
Whatcha think guys?
You'll never go broke taking a profit.
Tomorrow will be interesting.
Well, now we know the reaction. LOL!
what a mess...
Fresh low of day for the DOW.
Gave up 7 days of gains in 3 hours.
WOW!
I'm glad I have popcorn to watch this mess.
Well, this is the witching hour.
Between 2-3 we should see the direction for the close.
FSLR went red and oil reversed & is down 3%.
JASO still up 10%.
Yeah, I know...
Maybe I should change my handle to nervous nellie.
LOL!
I just bailed short term.
I may regret it but the market has collapsed thanks to Geitner.
Good grief!
There is solar money in the stimulus plan.
At least that's what I read last week.
The senate vote is at noon today.
Broke the 50MA at $3.29.
$3.15 pre-market!
We are so going to test that 50EMA!
FSLR & oil is up too which confirms the move.
Last year they reported on March 12th.
So we have about 1 month till earnings.
FYI.
Remember what it did last time?
Broke the 50 day and went up 40% in like 10 days.
I wish I knew for sure when they were reporting earnings.
Anyone know?
Well, I don't need to know that!
Tell me how high your chart says it'll go and you get a cookie. LOL!
Looks like the big test is $3.29.
Yeah! We have the marines behind us again!
LOL!
Back over $3 and looking good!
Monday might be a love fest.
The close Friday was strong.
The congress appears to have worked out their issues on the rescue bill.
And the next TARP plan should be out Monday or Tuesday.
Art Cashin said this could be "the mother of all rallies" for a few days.
It's still a counter move from within the bear market, but boy have these been profitable.
We hit $1.30 afterhours and settled at $1.29.

Hi rambob.
It'll be interesting to see how things close today.
DOW 8200 used to be support and now should be resistance. If the market closes above there with all this bad news we could be back on the way to 9000.
If not then back down we go.
Have a great weekend!
I agree with you.
However, if the market starts a new leg down, we'll want to have as much cash as possible. Lord knows what prices stuff will fall to.
What's to talk about?
The market appears to be in the mood to make fresh new lows for this bear. I'm not excited about that, are you?
I'm stuck with a couple stocks and the rest is in cash. I'm not eager to jump in here. I'm reading S&P 750 might be the next stop which puts the DOW down around 7000.
If we get another big selloff I'll be adding some ETFC but mostly solar stocks as I have made more on the rallies with them. ETFC just seems to be stuck in the mud.
Thoughts?
It's trying to roll over now.
She was unusually strong yesterday which had me concerned but I'm liking the action more today.
I'd like to see a break back towards $2.
