J ME, I stopped into ST on Friday. Agent did some DD for me on my 9500 shares of divies, listed as GOLIF @ ST. Shares are on a restricted cert in the vault(she didn't know whose vault, ST or DTC). I need to get a release of cert issued AFTER the restriction is lifted. ST will then send the cert back to the Depository Trust CO. to issue a new unrestricted cert. DTC charge is $95 per new cert.
Was given a contact for Heritage Trust Co. @ 416-363-1240. The nice lady there said their legal dept would issue a letter to release the certs authorizing reissue after the restriction is lifted. They have been instructed to refer all questions/inquiries about GLCC Divi restrictions to a Mr Garr Winters @ 416-597-8884. Called the number, and left a message with the woman that answered. I asked about the devi restriction length, and for an estimated restriction lifting date. If he calls I will also ask about an alternate path to receive new certs without the $95 DTC fee. Look at the current sp, and you will see that I will have to be carefull or the new cert, plus the trade cost, will actually cost me money to cash in my shares. I put this in so everyone can figure what their own costs/profits will be. Where, oh where is my $.70 per share divi goldmine. Waiting for my call from Mr Winters. Hope this complements what you were told. Use cusip # 38210N998 for inquiries. GLTY LC
Heels, what is the $$ figure for the 5% liability? We have several figures in the works, but which one gets the 5% applied to it? Just wondering, don't remember seeing it stated in $$ anywhere. TIA
How about the theory that they are just demented enough to do it for enjoyment. Getting the rise out of you, making you waste your time, is the real objective. I hope that we have enough positive posters, that can do battle, to keep from having new investors turned away. Remember the real reason you are in this.
I think the next 3 to 6 months will show us some very positive developements, but this could be a 2 to 3 yr investment timeline. Coming up on one year now for me, sp sucks, but the excellent DD posted here over the last few months still is valid. I think it just needs the time to get all of the pieces in place to give us the return we are looking for. And what could it be in 5 years??? GLTA LC

Additional Information
If Cremel is the major accumulator buying shares to add to the 4+ b they already have, they have to be positioning to make this a wholly owned sub. It could be a cheap path to a future bank for them. To do that they will most likely have to buy out our shares, and at a bit more than .0001 I would guess.
You have a flock of birds, pod of whales, pack of wolves, but what do you call a crew??/team?? of bashers?
Heels and Crooner, you guys are doing a wonderful job of sparring with the alternate philosophy posters. In the future I will miss approximately 30% of your posts, because 'I couldn't take it no more', iggy number 25 away captain. That might be the second iggy on the same person, different name. Keep up the good work fellows. The audits, loan closings, and who knows what else will come about in due time, making us happy that we didn't allow ourselves to get 'saved'. I plan to keep a few million shares around until that day comes. GLTA LC
Mick, a question for all the TAs. If the EOD paints like on Thurs & Fri are designed to screw up the accuracy of your calculations, could you maintain a second set of charts with manually corrected last entries using the last price just before the negative paint. Since the price normally will be right back up there the next session, you wouldn't be showing a WAG result, but one that more accurately reflected the real performance of the stock that day. Both could be posted at the same time. That would give us all a more accurate look at the possibilities and expectations. As you can guess, I don't speak chartese. Congrats to the new assistant mods, hope you enjoy the challenge. Balance is good. GLTA LC
Try "Poison Pill"
Chronic optimism is something I have been accused of also, might be wrong sometimes, but it sure makes it easier to get through the low points. The trouble comes when the low point doesn't improve, because the landing for optimists is much harder than for those of the more realistic nature. I'm still going to be optimistic here. I'll take Lime please.
double clicked, see 23
Congrats on your release. Are you saying GMoney tested positive for the Pumping Virus?? Hope they don't find the cure.
Semipro and Vianna, THANK YOU. The news (or olds) is very comforting for those of us stuck here in limbo (aka longs). I still wonder what is the shop location future to be, but now we know they aren't out of production. Very encouraging. The personal response overload is one of the options I was hoping to see, explaining Orlando's silence. But he did tell us NO NEWS in that pr. The side order of lawyer nose in the mix will lead me to expect nothing for us until something is definitly finalized. They aren't Fluffmasters.
Extra benefits of your DD; Hokifan's BP went 30 points closer to normal, he will be happy this weekend, therefor he will last longer as the MOD, saving IHUB the $47,000 new mod training fee. We all win. Thanks again.. A FINE WEEKEND TO ALL. LC
gatto go play pool, will talk later.
I have an acct opened originally as a Roth, that is vested at this time. I did Rollovers from Traditionals to Roths that will take 5 years to vest, including the year I converted them. You pay regular income amount taxes on the rolled amount when you file your taxes for the year of the rollover. All profits made with that rolled money are then completely tax free. Many of our investors are loosing out on $$$$ savings by not understanding the tax codes, especially those that can leave it in the account for future investments. There is a lot more to be made on the profits of trading than on the taxes you pay, even if you withdrawl under a penalty situation.
Roth IRAs are 100% tax free, as in NO capital gains at all.
Would you rather we discuss how to properly toss a good salad?
August is going to be a long month.
Would be nice, however, I think it would be unwise to pr anything that hinges on another party making an expected date when so many factors are in play that could derail that timetable. If they post the expected start date, and the contract drilling company has a rig break down, trouble finishing the current job, or any of those other drilling problems that can cause a delay, we then have to deal with a pr that the bashers will have a field day with. "Company is not resposible" would be the start. I like prs on positions, events that have been accomplished/met, for just that reason. GLTA LC
Yes, won't that be nice. Patience, it will come. I had to really adjust my timetable on this one after the May/June revelations. I now see that we are going to be here for 6mos or a year, possibly two. Thats ok, if the return is what we expect it to be. GLTY LC
Now you opened the door -- betcha see a posting of the Miami obit section with LTDI listing before days out.
What's Good??? I looked outside, and it isn't snowing, there's no frost warning, so I don't have to make sure the garden hose is drained. All is well. And its probably that way all the way up to Canada, and a certain mining property we all like. May they explore in sunshine, and fair weather. GLTA LC
Manusuvi, welcome to the board. You have covered many elements that I agree with, and done a nice job of it, IMO. The original PR stated there would be no PRs on the buyout until it was completed, or turned down. Why bitch about not receiving something we have been warned would not be coming until then? It won't change anything but one's BP.
Now the Honda deal, the boat show contracts, the apparent shop move, profits on delivered boats, etc are a different matter. However, looking at the owners point of view for a moment, if you don't talk to anyone about anything, you don't get asked questions, and risk bleating out a premature answer to a question about the buyout. Some people have to protect themselves from being put in that type of situation. But, PRs could be controlled, and issued for them without any of that risk, I think.
The buyout is the most important element in existence at this time, AS LONG AS it is still in the works. Why risk jeopardizing the most important item, by addressing the lesser venues. I think we all just need to sit back and wait, answers will come in time. I want those answers just as much as anyone here, but I feel the buyout will be the next, and probably ONLY pr. Price will be fixed by the value of the company to the buyer, sp will be irrelevant, 3b shares will go away, and we will get enough $$$$ to make all the bad memories go away, but August could be a very long month. Peace All. GLTY LC45
But remember, those encounters were almost always followed by a bounce, sometimes very high.
Wouldn't acurrate sale/buy depiction be a nice correction for the feds to add to the latest temp shorts correction attempt. All trades would HAVE to show as they actually go down, buy or sell. And standardized colors for each, while their at it.
I think it would be nice to add another running column to the L2s where each MM has to show his running short total in that stock. That would make them wince a little.
How many XXXX's do I need to get from $4.80 back to $2200 ?
Mick, thanks for posting the link. Just read it myself & hoped it was linked here. More awareness will cut out the supplies from these countries, and make the newly discovered deposits like our's more valuable, IMO. LC
I was surprised when I saw the additional products LG has, but someone pointed out that they were into those areas in the industrial/commercial way long before the cell phone line was developed. I didn't verify their info though. The buyer could be part of another conglomerate with big pockets, and diversificatiion wishes. GLTA LC

Nice find. Link didn't work, but found site by direct type in. Two things I noticed about their present line offering; no fishing or patrol category boats offered, and the design of the others looked dated, much like the offerings in this country back in the 50s, 60s, & 70s. Maybe they resurrected a retired/deceased MFG designer. The addition of LTDI designed boats would fill the empty categories, and probably influence the design lines, and inefficient on board layout of those other craft. Looking good. GLTA LC

allas, can't follow. going to change my handle to "Know Powder". GLTA LC
Well, we mortals appreciate your accomplishments. It is nice to see all of the finds we have seen here over the last six months finally be documented for you in company declarations. Good work guys and gals. GLTA LC
Braden, these guys do DD, post, AND sleep at the same time. All in a normal 27hour day.

You must be in some of the same winners I am. There are so many areas to be addressed in a deal of this type, it is no wonder the negotiations keep dragging on. Doing the trade deal, IR & PR duties, the apparent shop move, and still triing to build boats, I think I would get a little testy at some point in the process too. It would be nice to know what is going on with the shop situation though. Can't build boats outside, even in FL. LC
alien, one thing I haven't seen mentioned concerning the possibilities would be Orlando selling, and the company moving the total business to the shop in China. Then Orlando starts a new boat company in Miami. Would need new shareholders for that. If he treats present onse nicely ( thinking of $$$ we get in the deal ) he has the basis for start-up funds for the new venture. Just off the wall idea. GLTA LC
How much uptrend is it going to take to get back to my 0.11224/ share R/S price? Put another way $1100 invested is now worth total of $9. I am so impressed with this company.
That statement indicates an offer close enough to generate interest, but a corporate sale isn't like a private sale of your car to someone; ie sign the title & kiss it goodby. The base offer could be anywhere from lowball to more than acceptable, then you have the question of involvement of Orlando after the sale. If he wants in, then thats a whole new area of options for future decisions in design, space, equipment, sales, staffing, etc. Who gets the power? Like the warehouse move, each has another set of variables they need to deal with. The simple buy offer has now become very complex. From what the reliable posters have stated here, I don't think Orlando is ready to walk away from his lifes' work. He enjoys building boats too much. We should be prepared for either option, Deal or No Deal, because $$$ might just be the least of the considerations he is weighing. JMO GLTA LC
Very well put. One of the dissadvantages/tradeoffs of using the iggy button (23 on it) is missing some of the excellent replies, such as this one of your's. I just lucked onto it this time. Good job. GLTA LC.
Hokifan, I don't think Latitude is going to be listed with distributorships/dealerships on American engines. That usually is a category for furnishing complete support for all engines in that company's line. A dealership requires a lot of investment (over 50 t0 $100,000 parts inventory alone, plus specialized tools), and requires a manufacturer certified mechanic be available. Ties up at minimum one or two more people. When LTDI is only using the upper end power group it would be much better to arrange a volume deal with the local distributor for a discounted price. Honda package has other noted benefits, but probably won't be a dealership either. IMO GLTA LC
They said it was on the Frankfurt exchange though. Wouldn't it have given both if it was?
