I said nothing about your character. You may be a swell guy.
Who said they weren't having a rough time? Reread the post. They have not weathered tougher times? Huh? You have taken a history class right? The whole business model is based on the fact that a)they try to find places where they do not directly compete with WalMart b)there is a segment out there that doesn't like WalMart and will support someone else. Look, my gripe with you (and has been in the past), is you make statements about the specific businesses involved and make unsubstantiated claims and correlations and try to pass them off like you are Nostrdamus. Maybe if I had ever, ever , ever, read a post from you that considered any, any, any alternative other than the worst possible I could take you more seriously. Maybe.
Well perhaps you are too young to know that you get into trouble when try to paint with a broad brush. Especially when you have no clue and no inside info by which to base your speculation. Now, if you were too speculate that Hackett's may have a store or two close due to the difficult times we are in I would say that is not completely unreasonable (although you are still guessing). Hackett's has survived for a long time through tougher times than this. So, it is perfectly reasonable for me to take the opposite view. I maybe wrong, but at least I have the intellectual integrity to admit it.
How can that possibly happen at this point? Still wouldn't pay off the CD's.
Years?
Well, starting to move towards a more reasonable valuation, but volume still low for a major move. I think 2009 will finally make this one worth the wait. Over 2 years for me.
That is the crook from Cornell, jeez, get your crooks right.
Would somebody tell this dipsh$% that is not Tom S. already
Why give up? This is such a mess right now, if it ever rights itself it won't be anytime soon. So I wait. Smugness and condescension are their own rewards for some.
I don't care at this point, but I don't remember it that way.
Can you enlighten us Mav?
The SEC has no jurisdiction over reverse splits?
Why on earth does he have to be a "Beer" expert? I suppose he must have some marketing experience in the restaurant business ( he is probably executing a business plan already in place for the most part )anyway it is not rocket science if he has any business acumen. Whatever. You want them at this stage to hire more people and pay them salaries? The other part of your post was just plain dumb or were you joking? I can never tell I guess.
Bizare day high volume, but 1200 shares trade at the end of the day and it jumps almost 3 cents.
Why can't I say that ( note Jimz when you use "may" in a sentence it means I can say anything)? Where do you get 4 mil in equity? Cuts out the bottom line on beer? Only way we can mass produce and actually is pretty cost effective I would think. What would you have them do? It is pretty common practice. No one can give you a definative answer on your question. Sacketts Brewery, restaurants, the 1812 lager name is worth something regionally anyway. Worth 5.25 million? Not today.
Certainly wouldn't hurt to lay this out for them and get a consult.
No I do not think they are worth 5.25 mil.
Doesn't the debt given back to Swartz affect the bottom line on the sale price?
It sure doesn't make sense that they turn around and give back bits of the deal. Why would Swartz want the crap back? He takes back debt (what was it 1.2 or 2.2 mil?), but what changed in the months following the original deal? What was gained, or what accounting shenanigan did they pave the way for? Answer that my friend and you have your murderer.
Good riddance to Jrecks and anything to do with Universal Franchise or whatever that horsebleep company was called.
How do you figure he hid it in the filings? I think the Sackett's Pub and the Brewery are pretty significant. In the middle of this current fiasco they are the freakin' crown jewels. There is sooooo much legit, verifiable crap to be po'd about I don't get why you feel need to make up and speculate on bs. You are the bizzarro fluff PR.
Well revenue is revenue, but this is a horsebleep pr. The wording of it makes me think that this happened awhile back ("was the winner" as opposed to "has been awarded") and was just concocted because they can't come up with anything else. Sigh.
Mav you used to claim this was a good thing (I thought it was you anyway). If I am following this, he would be creating liquidity now against future profits?
I am certainly willing to listen. If it continues on the path it is on, which is likely (not a certainty however).
Investing 101, insiders are not allowed to buy shares based on news not available to the general public. Legally anyway.
Just a wild azz guess. But, other than Linkwell having a couple of quarters in a row like the last one I think it may be awhile for it to pick up steam. Maybe after the 10k coupled with some boisterous yearly projections it could move. This one will suffer too with the market in general of course. I guess after getting slammed for the last few months I am keeping my expectations low. You never know though.
That pretty much sums up Winnie.
Yikes. Just commenting that your venom seemed to be misplaced in that particular post.
The brewmaster had a job before Seaway came along, I don't know why you are picking on him. In fact, the brewery is the most promising venture they have going. Using parties, and girls, and motorcylcles to market beer. It sure makes sense to me. I don't know if your anger is clouding your judgement or what.
Be that as it may, it doesn't look like it is slowing down.
Makes me thristy..........
Weird post. You think the buying activity is signalling a volume slowdown?
Now its hundreds of millions Winnie?
Thanks for the link. I missed that one.
That is one possibility. WAG of the day so far. Amazing how some flip flop between "Tom is screwed no one is going to buy his shares everyone can see the dilution" and then rationalize how they are gobbling up the shares days later. I for one don't know the answer.
Indeed. Some of us dreamers may be hedging for the next R/S and some retail buying on a flier, but that doesn't account for a half a billion I wouldn't think.
Good grief.
Only if you actually invested here.
Same boat. I leave the bashing to others. Not happy either.
