Another good one A2G. %^) eom
Jake, Great to see/hear you mon.
You want to go Trick or Treating?
I think I can carry you around...I'll be the bouncer...you can be the "beat up" guy. ;-/
Hang Tough & Happy Halloween.
Good to have you "Home", Fred
Thanks Hawk. I guess Jesse represents little competition at the moment.
Last Sunday, I was introduced at halftime (during a local football game here) as a Big Yankees' Fan (I think there might have been a double meaning there, lol). Wow! Did I get bombarded.
Like that article said, controversy is key, and entertaining.
I believe I got a bit of a sympathy vote, however, when the show's host was explaining my somewhat obvious injury. While pretending to be a bouncer (or, at least, helpful), I removed a potential (intoxicated) problem from a sports bar. It went off without much incident actually, but, I have to remember to stop carrying people that are bigger (& heavier) than I am...geez these live sports events are alot more dangerous than I expected...%^)
I am almost walking erect again...
~Freddy, Not quite the Bod, Bentura!?!
Rheeman, I always thought it was just me, lol. If everyone else was OK, I would just do my best with it...
Once Liz was having a problem, I thought maybe...
Well, you know the rest now.
Maybe you can take a picture of what you want to send...
~F8
Hey Rheeman, Just for the record, I usually have trouble opening your links (to the point where I hesitate, because they have knocked me off my computer before).
I decided to give this one a try. It did not open on RB, and knocked me off of the internet here.
As a suggestion, you should really try to look up on iHub, how the guys here post links, charts, graphs, et.al. They do a real nice job (& with little or no trouble).
Unless, of course, it's your ISP, browser, or something that is not compatible here.
No computer whiz, but trying to make my way through the dark...:8^/...
(Hey, maybe it was a sunspot? :-/ )
~F8Flare
Rheeman/LMRI, I don't know how successful they were, but daytraders have been mentioning it the last day or two. They were playing it between .06 & .08, I believe, with some speculating about a double possibly...
Someone mentioned .16, then recanted the following day when LMRI did not cooperate (or, simply, the daytrader misread it).
It is still being spoken of as a longer term hold (I believe on the Swingtrade board here on iHub).
Good luck with it, F8
Rheeman, Your namesake (LMRI) has been quite the buzz lately.
~F8
OT: Timhyma, Your dancing dog goes very well with music, particularly Billy Idol's White Wedding.
I happen to be listening to that song when your post came up, and realized that must be what he's dancing to...%^)...the timing is perfect.
Best, F8
ALMI going (good trade & LT hold, imo). eom

NEWS
Royal Aruban Ticket Sales Temporarily on Hold
October 27, 2003
Royal Aruban Airlines, a Viva International Parter, had announced that ticket sales for flights from Ft Lauderdale to Aruba to Curacao would begin October 27, 2003. These sales will unfortunately be delayed. This temporary setback is due to unforeseen problems with bringing the reservations system online and a handful of other concerns. We are working diligently to resolve these issues and were perhaps too optimistic in our timetable when it was announced on October 15, 2003 that we would be selling tickets on October 27, 2003. An updated ticket sales date will be announced shortly, via both a press release from Viva International, Inc and this website. December 1, 2003 is still our target date for our inaugual flights.

Thank you Tom. Keep us up to date if you can...

Hawksky (as in, eye in the...),
Used to slalom. Now, just happy to get up on two skiis on a large body of water.
(My 77-year old dad still one-ski's it.)
WBR I trust pretty much.
EAG, good tech., but, I just don't feel comfortable with that company, imho.
Make $$$ with all, then, no matter...
Good luck, F8
Hawk,
Water Skiing is about my speed these days.
Maybe I'll water ski over to the Wyndham in the Bahamas!
Yeah Right...
(I hope they don't wait for me.)
~Fredski (oh man, I just cringed writing that...for some "unconscious reason"...sorry)
Hawk the WeatherBird,
This is actually the time of year that I appreciate living down here.
80 degrees and sunny during the day,
70 degrees and starry while I'm making hay...
Hey Hey, Fredday
ATM, 10 days? I hope it wasn't something I said...
Have a good time (at least, a safe time), whatever you are endeavoring into...
%^))
(Staying at a Wyndham, by chance?!? TeeHee)
~F8WBR
Me too Hawk/WBR. Good luck to us. eom
Ron,
Too Much Information x 3...
I think I got it now, lol.
Just like Duran Duran's Too Much Information:

Destroyed By CNBC
I hate to bite the hand that feeds,
It's Too Much Information...for me...

Hey Jake,
I hope you don't mean life threatening beyond the fact that all surgeries can be that to a certain extent...praying for extemely minimal...
Go in with your clearest head & your best thoughts.
Don't give the bad any more ammo to work with...stay up...stay positive...and...hmmm..."Keep the Faith" (I remember hearing a wise man say that)...
Don't forget to arrange for internet access in your room, or, at least, a kindly nurse to help you stay in touch with everything.
Best through (& after) Friday, Fred

(Just whistling a happy toonces.)
Thank you ladies...
Liz, It looks like COVD is trying to sneak out of OTCBB Town.
(How much longer can it stay there, anyway?)
Traveling, It is fun, isn't it?!?
We'll have to write a poem that includes all our names & stock holdings...
~F8 Poetaster (or, not a poet, and I know it!)

Hi Ya'All...
How are Ye All doin' today?
I'll try not to stray
Too far away,
But, with the World Series in play
And the teams I wanted, Hooray!
I just cannot stay,
So I hope it's OK?
I will certainly pray
for each one of you today,
especially for the stocks going your way,
now, and day after day...
Most importantly I should say,
That your healthy, eh!
A special word of nay,
to keep all maladies at bay,
For all our friends today,
particularly, Jake & Rocky...
Always My Best, Fred
P.s. I'll fire my writer right away...this day...Oy Vey!
:8^))
OT: Stock_hippie, It sure does seem like a skewed list.
Who did they poll anyway? Sounds like a Stoned preferred list, rather than an objective sampling.
Not that this is a good judge, but, since most baseball players want to be musicians (the latest success being Bernie Williams), they did request more Van Halen songs played at the games (especially post-season) than any other artists' songs.
I had to look up & down twice to check for Steve Vai (I thought maybe it was too early in the morning for your eyes, ).
I'm not even sure about #'s 19 & 20...
Tom Scholz (Boston) is also a very underrated guitarist, keyboard player (& just about every other instrument known & unknown).
Might as well put me on there too (I can play Freebird), lol.
~F8
OT: Stock_hippie, One too many digits there, imho.
(Btw, who was #70?)
~FrEddie VH
ATM/Ron,
Thank you Anne-Marie. Pretty yuky day for most today. I sold out of most things (shorter-term trading vehicles, anyway) when I started getting more involved with the TV station stuff.
Having trouble getting used to the new CNBC, as well.
Ron, Fortunately, I can act out most things I mean to say, especially live & in person. Voice drifting in & out, but getting better (drinking ginger tea).
As far as newer issues I've been buying and/or trading, CYGX still looks real promising (holding well), and there seems to be much chatter about EEC.
Best & Good Weekend to All.
Native Yankee/FloridaFred
ATMMMMM, Hi, Nobody sleeping down here in FLALand...
I came in from the kitchen as the commercial was ending last night...saw Aaron Boone & said..."That boy can make himself an instant hero!"...he did (as the drinks I was carrying flew at the same time the ball flew)...
I got the floor cleaned up (around 2:30 this morning). Thank goodness I was using plastic cups. :8^)
I think someone is still passed out in my guest room...
Btw, I have no voice this morning, so I will be using alot of hand signals & body language.

Well, we are happy campers around these parts...
In deference to those from Chicago here, I have refrained from my baseball post-season wishes.
While gearing up for our Sports Talk Live, at the end of the regular baseball season, I had speculated what a hoot it would be if the Yankees/Marlins were in the World Series.
So much so, that our sponsors said they would pay for the group to go to Pro Player Stadium to see three of the Series' games (I get the feeling they doubted the possibility, at first...).
Well, keep an eye on the TV during the World Series. You may see the Ventura/Ditka Jrs., during games 3,4, or 5, celebrating every game.
Die-hard Yankees fan here, but, if the miraculous Marlins pull it off, I'll be in good company either way down here.
Chicago...what can I say that has not already been said, & felt...sorry...that must have been some kick in the head.
It was some wild post season this year, though. It was anybody's game, right to the last pitch...
Best to All, F8Ball
Jake, OK, if you ever need a word (or want to give one like Feightilistic, lol), just ask.
We're here...
~F8ful
Jake, I hate to see you give up when you turn 97, , but try to make it a medium term goal for now...
Obviously, only you know best how you're feeling right now. I just cannot emphasize enough to try to stay positive, no matter how difficult it may seem at times. (And, I'm not being oblivious to how bad health can sometimes make you want to give up.)
Now, hang with me for a minute here. I believe I watched my cousin die of a very similar affliction. Biggest problem I had seen, after the past abuse/damage he had done, was going off and not letting anyone help him, and losing all perspective. He just let himself sink more & more. I was young at the time and, unfortunately, blind to what was really happening.
You're already doing better by sharing it with us here. My personal experience has shown me how much of a difference your own mind, sense of humor, and feelings about things can make (flies way over the money issue).
Don't let days, hours, or even minutes go by, especially if you're not feeling too well, without reaching out to something/someone that will keep you above the fault line (basically, giving you a much better perspective & reason to focus on something positive or constructive, and NOT destructive).
It's only too late when your mind is gone AND nobody else cares. You have shown here that it's anything but that, so keep thinking positive, be creative, and never (as best & as often as you can) ever give up...
^F8^
P.s. If you don't like the cards you've been dealt...DRAW! lol
Yes, ATM, I hear you. Against my orders (OK, it was more like pleading), I found out my father was back on a roof again.
When I was over at my parents' home, a neighbor came out telling me what a good job my dad did...replacing their roof (from the tornado time)!!!
Huh?!? "Hey dad, what's up with dat!"
"Oh yeah, son, didn't I mention it to you?"
"AHEM"
"NOOOOOO!"
And, unlike you ATM, I couldn't have done this myself,...gladly,...or any other way.
Unreal. We'll probably die first, and our fathers will be landscaping & building homes long afterward...
How are you at fixing roofs Anne-Marie? ) Anybody?
~This message paid for by the family of Fred's Father - To keep Fred's Father down on the ground~
Geez O' Peets, Jake, you take one thing to help, and it causes a more serious issue.
Actually, I understand that from a trip I took to FL from NY years ago. I was sick, and between the antihistamines and the plane pressure, the infection got so locked up, I woke up the next morning in FL, with a disgusting mess from the infection trying to come out of every orifice of my body (sorry, if I just made anybody queasy). :(
Hopefully, you can clear this up without any further complication, breathe easier, and take care going forward.
Hey, today, 70 years old is not really old yet. Do the right thing, and you can leave 55 way behind you...
We'll discuss your age again during the second half...around 80 or so...OK?
Breathe slowly & as deeply as you can...F80
:)
Hey Jake, Very nice post. The thoughtful part, of course, not the part about you not being up to par.
Keep, as best you can, very positive and upbeat thoughts.
Do you know what caused the pneumonia?
Hang tough, stay in touch, and I believe your energy play is a good area to be in now (that's it, stay in the game).
All our Best, Fred
OT: Good one Art. eom
ATM, I am sorry this bothers you so much.
Peace, Fred
Marcos/DSLN,
Quite alot to digest, and not all that good, but needs to be taken in consideration of future business & how the stock (volume, price, etc.) will react & trade going forward.
Tentatively, I'm thinking of voting:
1. For All
2. Against
3. For
4. Against (still pondering though)
5. Against
6. Against
7. For
8. Against
9. For
Now, I will look over someone else's shoulder & see what they voted (but, I promise I won't cheat).
~F8 For~
CYGX/DSLN,
CYGX looking real good...
DSLN. I just received the proxy (about time!). Eight proposals (in addition to director voting)!
Timing in/out/in DSLN may be tricky...Watch closely...
~F8
ATM, I will try to keep political opinions off this board, but, why let news about Europeans laughing, bother you?
CA is CA. What it's built on = sign o' the times...
If there are positive, constructive suggestions, great. If not, I would not waste time on it.
~F8
I've got to remember not to respond to political issues on these boards.
Apologies...
~F8
Rheeman, What were you hoping (voting?) for in CA?
Gary Coleman?
Btw, you spelled Schwarzenegger incorrectly. :-/
IMHO, give him a chance (he's got some good support behind him). What other choices did you really have out there (I could be missing something here)?
(And I was hoping to see T4.) :)
~F8
