HR, you’ve really “fleshed out” the details of the Medinah dividend question. An excellent summary of a subject that, strangely enough, elicits an unusual emotional reaction in some.
The source of the “dividend idea” comes from the July 25th, 2013 Shareholders Update, published in the official company website.
Sure hope so...Had about given up on this one but did not sell for tax loss. The story is interesting...

Now here’s a real dilly for a bright young filly...Isn’t our partner supposed to be the news-releaser here?
Good deduction. Gerald and his team are taking this to the Super Bowl of biotech!
Just an observation, Krak, but many shareholders are posting comments such as “I’m about done with this” and “I’ll give them to the first week of February.” This could be the last “at bat.” Looks like no more carrots or berries for the shareholders this time around…
Here is an interesting thread on the subject: http://www.akmining.biz/forums/archive/index.php/t-8621765.html?s=d3f0b21da285918b5537d024d8d6b0fe
Even with three professional geologists weighing in on this forum, the jury is certainly still out.....
Thank you for your response. It is interesting to note that gold particles often seem to grow in size to become nuggets downstream of the gold source, while the opposite is true of platinum.
RD, you mention in one of your posts some experience in working alluvial gravels. As a former small scale placer miner, I’ve always wanted to ask a professional geologist the following question: The species Delftia acidovorans and Cupriavidus metallidurans have been discovered to be active in the formation of gold in some areas. What are your views on this kind of formation and how prevalent do you think it is? More directly, could the Caren placers at the base of the ADL been “juiced” by this type of action or do you believe that the gold found there eroded from its original host rock in the vicinity of the LDM?
Veblen, You've been waiting over 15 years? You are one loyal shareholder!
What is that suppose to mean? This is my observation. Too many people are moaning about how disappointed they are because nothing has materialized yet on the JV. I'm just saying that there's no reason for getting all antsy. The company has never officially put a date or timeline out for conclusion and announcement. Pretty simple, but the point isn't being taken.
Goin' north....
Krak, this person is a shareholder and message board poster, just like you and I. We're all entitled to our opinions, don the cheerleading garb if we wish (with pom poms), and fire away on the message boards.
Again, what we must bear in mind are the communications that are official and those that are not. There is nothing in the official company communications that point to a date for announcement and conclusion of the joint venture.
Dr. Urano is shown briefly in this feature. He is quoted in his blog: “We have discovered a critical mechanism inducing cell death by endoplasmic reticulum dysfunction. This mechanism is activated in a mouse model of Wolfram. We need to verify this mechanism is also activated in patients with Wolfram.” [/b]-www.erstress.com/Wolfram_syndrome_Research_Progress/Entries/2012/7/13_Day_of_longboarding.html
"With this agreement, we have further positioned Amarantus as the only company in the world in a position to bring MANF to market, and have now expanded the list of therapeutic indications for MANF to include Wolfram syndrome, Type-1 diabetes and Type-2 diabetes," said Gerald E. Commissiong, president & CEO of Amarantus. "In addition we have licensed the use of MANF as a biomarker in these indications, which we believe will bolster the pipeline of our diagnostic division. As we continue the reprioritization of the MANF pipeline towards orphan indications, Wolfram syndrome represents an attractive orphan opportunity with a highly organized patient population that could accelerate time to commercialization for MANF. We are delighted to note that academic researchers in the United States and Europe have continued to increase our understanding of the potential for MANF to treat Wolfram syndrome and diabetes."
“Concurrent with this announcement, the company reports positive data for MANF in treating degenerating beta cells in various cellular models of beta cell degeneration. The data, generated by the lab of former University of Massachusetts Medical School researcher Dr. Fumihiko Urano, MD, PhD, demonstrates that MANF has a potent activity in preserving beta cell viability in response to endoplasmic reticulum stress (ER Stress) that mimic Wolfram syndrome and diabetes in vitro. In addition, MANF is selectively secreted by beta cells in response to ER Stress”. - globenewswire.com/news-release/2013/12/18/597721/10061843/en/Amarantus-Licenses-MANF-Related-Wolfram-s-and-Diabetes-Therapeutic-and-Diagnostic-Intellectual-Property-From-University-of-Massachusetts-Medical-School.html

Dr. Urano and his research lab hold the promise…
Whatever...They're sitting on a GOLD MINE!
Well, looks like it's going back to 0.08 for right now. Would have been a good buying opportunity earlier this morning. Still is...
Vancouver's a fairly short drive for me. I should cruise by Bute Strett next time I visit.
I have understood the South American Mining Media site and Roberto de Silva to be the IR branch of Medinah Minerals: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=79599670
Is this reasonable to assume?
Which is why one shouldn’t “bet the farm” on these speculative non-reporting pink sheet stocks. However, putting out a small chunk of change (relative to your total portfolio value) shouldn’t cause too much heartbreak if things don’t turn out the way they are envisioned.
By the way, truncated sentences can be misleading when quoting. My complete sentence read: Official information published on the company website and communication from the company via the IR person listed on the company website should be considered the only legitimate sources of information available.
Who knows where these rumors originate? Except in the instances where Les and perhaps Mr. Tenney exchange communications with a particular shareholder and those emails/conversations are subsequently made public, the sources of shareholder information shared on these message boards is kept very close to the vest. That alone should be reason for caution. There is no way to confirm or deny what may simply be a fabrication on the part of a shareholder with an agenda.
Official information published on the company website and communication from the company via the IR person listed on the company website should be considered the only legitimate sources of information available.
AMBS shareholders....ROCK ON!
I have not seen any mention of a date or timeline for completion and announcement of a joint venture agreement on the company website. On the page giving links to the numerous shareholders updates www.medinah-minerals.com/shareholder.html you will find by clicking on any particular link this disclaimer: Medinah Minerals, Inc. wishes to advise that this is our official Web Site. Medinah Minerals is not responsible for the presentation of any Company information made available on any other site.
Any date, including January 15, 2014, as a possible date for announcement of a joint venture agreement does not exist in the official company communications. How can anyone hold the company responsible for something that it has not officially published?
I should step in here as I am the MP poster who contacted Roberto and posted his message on that forum (under my MP alias).
Quite simply, on the official Medinah Minerals company website, under “contact us” is a link to address the company with any questions one might have. That is the route I took. I asked if Mr. Tenney had any thing to offer regarding timing of the coming JV, and I received a message from Roberto, of South American Mining Media http://southamericanminingmedia.com, which I made public (a search for that registrant by an I-Hub forum member yielded this information: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=79600165).
Is Roberto Les’s secretary perhaps? An employee who is compensated by the company? We’re not sure and may never know. His answers have not been glamorous but have been safe and conservative and that doesn’t sound like anything Les would offer. It’s a mystery as they say…
That's priceless!
I'm still a believer in the mountain. And Job went through much worse...
For those about to rock...WE SALUTE YOU!! Shareholders of AMBS, that is...
My post was intended to be humerous. You're absolutely correct. Serious consideration of religion and people's religious background are completely off-topic.
Spiritual attainment is man’s loftiest aspiration. Does this mean however, that with the culmination of a successful JV in the new year, our spiritual growth may cease? Heaven forbid! In Matthew 16:26 we read “For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his own soul?”
Seems that there may be some serious soul-searching to be done in the near future…
For goodness sakes, it's a non-reporting pink sheet company. What-are you going to take a couple thousand other pinkies along with you to the Feds? We must remember what investment tier we're in with this stock.
Like many, I have had the burden of caring for loved ones this year who have suffered with both Alzheimers and diabetes. The personal toll these diseases take on a caregiver are very grave. Doing this while holding down a full time job is simply exhausting-the lack of sleep, the worry and grief, the costs, relationship burdens….
More than being a nine bagger for me so far, AMBS with its miracle molecule, MANF, is like a tiny light at the end of a long tunnel. That light is getting brighter with each new license agreement and milestone this company reaches. Someday it will be a flaring beacon of deliverance-both for the victims of these dreaded diseases and relief for the family members who care for them.
You got that right!
Well Beth, you’ve certainly been places where Nature’s Sunshine hasn’t shown to bring us some outstanding DD. After considering your findings, I must say, regretfully, that although a staunch believer in the mineral resource, the sooner this property comes under the sound management of a major partner, the better.
Fair enough. Near future? Sometime between now and the end of the first quarter of 2014. Past that, even my patience has a limit.
We shouldn’t expect accountability with most of the non-reporting pink sheet companies.
Even with fully reporting companies, balance sheets and quarterly reports are at times so difficult to understand that they become essentially worthless.
Like Baldy says, with any particular stock, it boils down to what one feels comfortable with as far as risk/return.
Personally, I am also thinking along the same lines as Baldy (re-post courtesy of HR) regarding the dynamic existing between Les, the BOD, and JJ and the effect that this has had on past attempts to monetize the resource.
Since this is the closest thing to gambling that the law allows in the securities market I’m laying odds of 19 to 1 that Medinah gets a JV in the near future.
"In 2012, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute was ranked as the #1 Ophthalmology hospital in the United States for the 9th consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report."
Many medical "firsts" in the field of opthamology have been credited to this facility http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bascom_Palmer_Eye_Institute
Now "Amarantus Obtains Exclusive Option to License University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute's Intellectual Property for the Treatment of Retinal Diseases Using MANF and CDNF" http://www.marketwatch.com/story/amarantus-obtains-exclusive-option-to-license-university-of-miami-bascom-palmer-eye-institutes-intellectual-property-for-the-treatment-of-retinal-diseases-using-manf-and-cdnf-2013-12-03?reflink=MW_news_stmp
You gave 'em fair warning....
Fundamentals are simple and unarguable. Two mega resort/casinos in Asia next door to two billion gambling addicts. Everything else is fluff. Been a seven bagger for me.
Lovin' my BMSN!
Just providing a link to a valuable resource. It's up to the individual to do the work of sorting through the information and drawing their own conclusions. Nothing more...
