I feel what you are going through. I so look forward to the time when this terrible plague is finished.
Before putting her into memory care, I cared for my 89 year old mother, suffering from Alzheimers, for about 9 months.
Almost daily I watched a loved one slowly disappear, and die a slow death in front of my eyes.
I visit infrequently now, a few times a month. She doesn't know when the last time was. It hurts too much too think about as I drive up to the adult family home, a grown man breaking down as he parks his car. I am thankful that she still remembers my name.
Yes, bless the work these researchers are doing. The money is secondary from an investment standpoint. It is rare to be able to make that statement with conviction, but it is very true in this instance....
Sorry to disagree, but this time just seems different. I doubt anyone is in the mood to be "cowed."
I would expect, at the least, some very pointed questions if the BOD has nothing to offer but more excuses.
Well, Krak, you are likely correct in your prediction of a slim turnout for the Shareholders meeting, but you are incorrect in assuming that I hadn't thought about who exactly will end up going.
There are a number of shareholders who, wisely or not, have a considerable stake in this company. You can bet they will come to the meeting, pleased or not. Unless there is a deal or a very handily crafted update prior to the meeting date, these shareholders will make themselves and their opinions known.
As for myself, I don't plan on going as I have a ton of responsibility on the home front and well, bigger fish to fry elsewhere.
Although Medinah has become one of my favorite hobbies, it just doesn't warrant the trouble of arranging a trip. I'll look forward to viewing the recorded festivities later.
Well, Krak, I don't know...Just seems that if we don't have a signed deal for the ADL by meeting time in May, there are going to be fireworks. And not the pretty kind.
Let's hope that in addition to the ADL, we'll be dancing the Mambo and not the dodo...
Thank you for posting... We'll all be clicking "refresh" on this link starting early Monday morning!
As long as the subject of clubs are being discussed, how about a club for those with the lowest average cost basis? Mine’s well under a penny. Early bird investors need to have their narcissistic selves tended to as well as the super wealthy ones.
Yep, that's a REAL GOOD indication. 120K is not chickenfeed by any standard....
Please refer to the sticky #62248.
It's clear that the company is behind the story. If things didn't happen the way stated in the Shareholder's update, then we're in truly serious trouble.
Another less risky excuse could have been "cooked up" if JV negotiations were seen to be lagging behind schedule. If this ever became a legal issue, proof of the accident could easily be obtained in the form of clinic visits, visa stamps, phone records, C.C. activity, travel arrangements, etc.
I, for one, think the senior gentleman fell down the stairs and broke his leg while on a business trip. If something else happened, then, well, as I said, we're in truly serious trouble.
I think you're right. Let's hope the boom-boom happens sometime in the six weeks leading up to the shareholder's meeting.
Actually, Scottrade isn't terribly bad when it comes to commissions on penny stocks. Generally comes to ten or eleven bucks a trade.
You must use limit orders with them on these trades and you can't set the sell price very high either.
It's Sharebuilder that sucks. I made the mistake of using them on a penny trade and just paid through the nose. Ridiculous what they charged. And to listen to their commercials about how great they are...
This is genuine! I had to double check to be certain that this wasn't a paste-up...My sincere apologies...Just the beginning of blue skies for Regen and BMSN.....
There must be a leak in the office piping...Leading from the nitrous tanks.
I like the Doc when he writes about geology. I like him even more when his writing is concise and to the point.
Regretfully, I must say that that this attempt at humor is just lame.
You're right. It would be in very poor taste to joke about a person suffering an injury.
I believe the information is on the up and up. Sounds like a check-up is being done at a local clinic to confirm that he is fit and ready to get back on his feet.
Excellent point, Jack, recalling the AMB$ CUSIP name and # change forcing a cover, and comparing that with the short covering that will occur with the advent of the Regen dividend with BMSN. Different means to the same end. With news and approvals, BMSN will be a synergistic sensation...
Show the scurvy shorts to the short plank!
Never had a doubt. The chapters of this story are becoming even more compelling. Long and strong since October 2012...

"Well, since you ask, I used the word because I intended to precisely convey the concept that your "questioning" was exceeding the usual apersonal bounds of this forum; rather it was more akin to me being treated as a "hostile witness" rather than the recipient of questions pertaining to our investment."

I posed one question to you in Post #62094. The question was " What else do you know specifically about geology?" How on earth does that "exceed the usual apersonal bounds of this forum?" That simple question was not a strong-armed interrogation as your use of language suggests. Any other questions present in that post were those made by Paddy in his original message #62071 and were clearly indicated as quotes from that post.
When Occam's razor was mentioned in relation to wordiness, I meant it to loosely mean "Don't unnecessarily complicate the message."
Just trying to see the forest and not the trees.

Beth, again, not to be critical, but you might employ Occam’s razor when addressing “interrogatories” to the linquistically challenged such as myself. Why use the word “interrogatory” when the word “question” works just as well?
In regards to your questions, I’ll sum it up like this:
1.) Les is the representative mentioned in the last shareholder’s update, and yes the two weeks are up.
2.) The corporate business has to do with any number of deals involving Medinah properties other than the ADL.
3.) I just don’t care about silly messages, corporate or other.
4.) Great joy or tremendous disappointment is a subjective feeling. I can’t speak for anyone else. If you are asking if I believe there will be news of the JV before the AGM, frankly, I think they’re going to “spring” it on us then and there, much like last time (I hope I'm wrong on this one).
An update will be issued before hand in an effort to placate the disenchanted so that pitchforks won’t become stow-away items on the flight to Vegas.
5.) I’m pretty sure the AGM will be scheduled as planned.
My basic position is of one who believes in the resource value of the LDM and ADL. Everything else is a sideshow. Of course, I hope for this resource to be monetized sooner than later –who wouldn’t? That said, if this drags on too much beyond the end of the first quarter of this year, I will continue to hold shares, but my day to day interest in the stock will wane.

This is a public forum. You're going to get commentary. How you care about that is pointless.
It'll happen soon enough. Stayin' in this little moneymaker! So far a five-bagger for me....
Hi Beth. I read with interest your reply to Paddy.

1) What specific knowledge of the jr. mining sector do you have?
Zero working/specific knowledge
2) What specific knowledge of geology do you have?
Experience in steam and metallurgical coal mining. Analysis and consultation involving royalties, permitting, wheelage, and other lease issues. My first "business income" accrued at age 13 when I sold price analysis software I wrote on an ancient HP to a small mining company.
3) What specific knowledge of mining in Chile do you have?
None
4) What specific extraction education do you have?
I own and have studied the industry bible, "Taxation of Mining Operations" (Maxfield and Houghton, in conj. with Ernst & Young), to better grasp the business environment of North American mining
______________________________________________________________________________________
Answer #1 is clear.
Answer #2 confuses me when you state that you have experience in steam and metallurgical coal mining. The question had to do with your knowledge of geology. I suppose you know from your mining experience that the various grades of coal are classed as organic sedimentary rocks. What else do you know specifically about geology?
Answer #3 is clear enough.
Answer # 4 just doesn’t make sense to me. I believe that extraction means in this instance mineral extraction, not the extraction of funds through business taxes.
I suppose the word “extraction” might be a bit too much to deal with at first as the extraction process is really two part. The first is the actual mining or extraction of rocks from surface and subsurface deposits. We know that the earth’s crust is composed of many different types of rocks and that these rocks sometimes contain a mix of minerals, both metallic and non-metallic (as in coal).
We are of course, interested in mineral ores, and specifically, metal ore. Metal ore is rock containing sufficient metal to be worth extracting the metal from the waste or useless non-economic material mixed with it.
Metal ores are obtained by mining and that this involves digging up and processing large amounts of rock. Most ores have to be concentrated before the metal is extracted and purified. We have heard talk of an on site processing facility possibly being constructed at the base of the ADL plateau. This would be a concentrating plant.
By definition, an ore body must contain enough of the metal to make it worthwhile to mine and then extract the metal. Since the majority of metals found at depth in deposits like the ADL are combined with non–metals like oxides and sulfides, chemical reactions are needed to free the metal. This may be considered the actual extraction process. This extraction process is somewhat involved and would take place off site.
I believe Paddy was referring to this particular process when asking question #4 of you.
I don't care to be critical, but I found your answers unsatisfactory.
OMG! I've suddenly got a 4-bagger! Sure glad I held on to this baby through the lean times....
Show 'em to the short plank, Jack. The scurvy bilge rats!
I'm adding here. Again.
No, Just two small purchases totaling 90K.
Just bought more...Couldn't help myself!
The simple truth, very well stated...
I say you'll be hitting "refresh" on your browser every 30 seconds like the rest of us for the next ten days...
I got my first 1.9 million shares back in late December, 2012 at .0012 and .0014. Pps was pretty low back then, and much lower in early December of that year. The guy who told me about this stock was trading millions of shares frequently while this was in the trips..
This stock traded in the multi-pennies through much of it's early history. These current prices are a screaming buy as this company comes closer and closer to delivering on its promise.
Good Gawd! Lovin' my moneymaker!!
I'm going to be insanely rich!!!
Holy Cow!!! I'm gonna be Rich!! Long and strong since December 2012......
So far, so good...The excitement is mounting...
Word is getting out on AMBS. Last weeks low pps was just ridiculous.
-Long and holding every single share bought since October, 2012.
Dow may be down this morning, but LVS is already tearing it up!
"Another interesting opportunity is Denison Mines. While more speculative than Cameco because it is not currently profitable, the company does have a solid balance sheet to wait out the low prices, and has stakes in promising uranium mines that may make it attractive as an acquisition." -www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/03/02/is-a-nuclear-spring-coming.aspx
That "string of cash dividends" is sure sounding good!
Of course, Mention of a cash dividend has been made on the official company website where the July 25th, 2013 Shareholder's update states:
"Company officials will also discuss future consideration when, if prudent, that anticipated cash flowing receivership could possibly create a future dividend distribution for Medinah Minerals, Inc. shareholders of record."
Steve, I think Dean may have confused you with Paddy, the poster who is a friend of the DeCosta family.
Yes, Mr. Chapin's treatment of Dr. DeCosta at the last AGM was more along the lines of good natured “ribbing,” and was in no way perceived by most to be malicious. It amounted to saying “Take it somewhere else bud, and let a few of the other guests get a word in edgewise”.
Mr. Chapin’s ignoring of Roundmot (who sat directly in front of me), was much more rude.
As far as bullies go, BE takes the cake. When a poster chooses to ignore the ignore function and instead attempts to control the direction of a forum at the expense of free speech, that, in my opinion, takes the cake when it comes to insolence and domination.
I often wonder if the real issue some have with Dr. DeCosta is his comprehensive knowledge not only of mining geology but of the offshore NSS’rs and their minions.
At the last AGM, Mr. Chapin disrespectfully hummed the theme to Jeopardy as Dr. DeCosta launched into a lengthy soliloquy. I have the impression that the board tolerates him as an overly enthusiastic fan, not an associate.
I have met Dr. DeCosta and thought him to be a very nice gentleman. We all know that he can be a bit wordy and given to going off on tangents, but are those such serious character flaws that he should be subject to this kind of scathing criticism?
