Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong - Medical Visionary Award
DR. PATRICK SOON-SHIONG has lent vision, voice, and action to the power of convergence—applying the limitless potential of collaborative science and technology on a personal level. A physician, surgeon and scientist, he has pioneered treatments for both diabetes and cancer, published over 100 scientific papers, and has over 95 issued patents on groundbreaking advancements across myriad fields.
Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Soon-Shiong performed the world’s first encapsulated human islet transplant and the first pig to man islet cell transplant in diabetic patients. He put UCLA in the global spotlight when he performed our medical school’s first whole pancreas transplant. In addition, he invented and developed Abraxane, the nation’s first FDA approved, protein nanoparticle, albumin-bound delivery technology that is being used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer since 2005 and lung cancer since 2012, and is doubling the response rate in patients with these diseases. In 2013, the FDA approved Abraxane for pancreatic cancer and the drug has also made significant measurable improvements in melanoma—two cancers for which there have been no advancements in 20 years. He is presently working to create a cutting edge national health information network for the secure sharing of medical information—empowering doctors to treat patients with proven precision at the first point of care.
I am LOVING these Form Ds, Chacha! More money coming into The Empire that Pat Built.
And the float is pretty much locked. BY US!!!
"Late day fade" sort of fits right into the market makers' game.
This is one market maker's story for those who might be interested. It is one of the better ones I have read.

LOVE YOUR CHART!!!
I wasn't referring to past players as a comparison. I was trying to impart that I was spoiled with a bunch of past champions.
The "WANTING" of a championship can be a major factor for both players and fans that have not experienced the phenomenon in a while.
Apparently, I was not clear enough. And, apparently, my point is moot.
Jose, Mark, Barry? Look closely at home runs.
Maybe some REAL quality is returning to the game?
How many home runs in this World Series?
Even as a Giant's fan I would have to TOTALLY disagree with you.
OMG!!!
Hard hats and underpants boys. Holy Moly.
Could be our stud, or you guys can pull off fireworks. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!
EXACTLY! All the stats and not one comment about HEART, FANS, GUTS.
I co-coached Little League for years. I made the line-up and kept score. My strategies weren't necessarily based on who was putting up the best numbers, but by what was going on in the kids' lives, what show of confidence they needed from an adult, and so on. We never had a losing season AND the kids loved the game.
I have been spoiled in Norcal with the likes of Mays, McCovey, Plunkett, Vida, Storm, Fingers, Mark & Jose (idiots), Montana, Young, Colin and now the past few years of dynamos on the Giants.
The Giant's team has huge heart. The KC Royals have fans DYING for this title. Both are important.
I am just happy it went to 7 and THIS is a GAME (unlike last night).
May the better team win.
Yet another great post.
Something I wonder about... what if our soon-to-be new partner has known about Elite's IP for years? What if it is Nasrat's "favorite" company? What if they have been accumulating shares for a very long time (under different names/accounts as to not have to file with the SEC)? What if they get a HUGE chunk of shares as part of a partnership deal?
They could buy ELTP for $10 and only pay $5.
Just a thought.
Well, that is certainly an award he deserves. Visionary. But, I don't think that would be the place for him to announce the launch.
Halloween could be though. The timing is good.
Can you imagine if he DOES announce After Hours on Friday? Now imagine MONDAY. If NANT stays on the OTC, there won't be any trading before of after hours(unless there is an exception I am not aware of).
OMG...Big Money will have ALL weekend to analyze it. "Gosh golly, wasn't that guy just on the cover of Forbes? What did they value Nantworks at?"
7.7 BOOillion!
Always a pleasure to read your posts N2K!
Whelp, I sat in between two docs in the bleachers of the SF Giants game last night, and THEY said when Elite's ARTs hit the market they won't prescribe any other opioids.
Maybe if they ate MEAT, they would have all been homers. Freakin' tofu.
Would love to know the "other 2"
Very hard to say, S3lfMade.
BUT, it doesn't hurt to have Forbes rank Nantwork's value at $7.7 billion.
When Nantworks becomes publicly traded, the Big Boys have a starting point to work with.
After Hours will be INSANE.
IP Man,
When I read this last paragraph:
Under the rules, the reverse merger company generally would be exempt from these special requirements if it is listing in connection with a substantial firm commitment underwritten public offering, or the reverse merger occurred long ago so that at least four annual reports with audited financial information have been filed with the SEC.
It is very apparent for one who understands trading, that one maybe two holders of KEYO can afford to take a profit. That is what trading is about. I took some profit a few days a go, and Friday I bought back 20,000 shares on the bid.
Darn, Wilma..I thought you had finally joined us.
Elite team is getting stronger and stronger.
BTW...Anyone notice that WORL is gone? Has VERT been here long?
This was at the end of a FINRA case I read. (Note: VERT is widely recognized by investors as a market maker who abuses their market making obligations and manipulates stock prices for profit. They are the firm the less than reputable clients trade through when they want a “job done” and this enforcement case, despite the paltry fine, illustrates their willingness to avoid the rules.)
There is almost too much out there on market makers. Not much of it very positive. Just wondering if anyone has real understandable info.
I, too am on posting restriction. Permanently?
Congrats guys. At least my tickets are good for Sunday.
I have to give you ONE Tree, so I can go to the game on Sunday
Grrrrrrr............
My hero, Pete Rose!
I am going to tour cross country before moving off-continent. Can't wait to see the farm....err...estate?
Go ELTP!
Now wait a minute. I resemble that remark.
We've got a game though, and that is good.
THAT'S a no-brainer IP! Hysterical!
Holding solid though
DAMN. That was the BEST God Bless America I have ever heard in the 7th.
Buster lost most of a year to a crash at home plate. He did the smart thing once committed.
BTW, don't make fun of Buster, he's only 16
They'll come back tomorrow.
HAH! Looks like your boys need some tofu! See you this weekend
Same or Different? You decide.
KEYO = .067 Other stock = .0001
What are they doing with the REST of it?
