Gig they said is not issue, that patent thing, they just looked at the ceiling and rolled their eyes, something like “Oh Please X, that is not an issue, our material is completely different”
yeah man, that is what I said too, gig patent may cover any other e/o mod producers who cannot stand up to CMOS, but certainly not one that CAN
new website next week, what? have I been caught in a time warp?
personally I think the website is fine, just add to it, I mean really, have we not bigger fish to fry here at this point?
will do, I am hoping this to be our final trip to the patch, lol, again
so the ASM lasted several hours and then ended with a bus trip to a lab tour, and most in attendance posting here seem to have renewed confidence, and it's a "when" not an "if" etc
ok, but with all that time spent, were there not any specific progress notes given with respect to the LSS or UCB?
was there any indication for a revised timeline, one that incorporates all of the various projects in motion including the SLM, etc?
perhaps it is time for an open letter to shareholders that address these things, this would be in keeping with Tom's promise to increase the level of communication with investors
and where the heck is x, will he ever weigh in on the ASM event?
and finally, please please please get the ASM on the website ASAP!
snez, thanks, can you or others share more on the EMP situation with us who were not able to be there, tia
did x get left behind and locked in at the lab?
was there any discussion as to why the EMP efforts were consolidated into the UCB efforts?
Buz, welcome back to the fold, from what I've been reading it resonates everything that I have been preaching to growing list of dissenters here, boy I wish there were no hurdles left, but I am glad to hear that the hurdles are lesser, and that it is deemed a matter of "when" now, and not a matter of "if"
a great big thanks to all those who attended and posted here afterwards!
see ya all in the patch, one more time!
maybe prop, else lemme guess "we now expect to have a proto by end of 3rd quarter or start of 4th quarter"
arrrggghhh, back to waiting for the GP?
where's the proto?
proto proto proto!
did they make you guys sign nda's
what up dogs?
maybe kickoff with a list of rockstars present
no pr yet is disappointing to me, please give us here on the outside any updates from your smart phones that you can, gltai
oddone, makes sense for pr friday afternoon versus say today, don't want to steal the thunder of the ASM presentation
I disagree however with your thinking there will not be any news of substance at the ASM, personally I think the time is ripe for some substance here, and as such I am fully expecting delivery at the ASM
we'll see
I'll take Charlie Weaver to block...
The gig Patent 8,483,524 according to the gig yahoo posters covers ALL e/o on the chip type production process, could someone at the ASM check to see if this patent has any impact on us here, I don't think it does since we would be processing production consistent with standard CMOS process, but I would be curious to hear what management thinks on the matter, tia
sure hope we get a pr of substance this week ahead of the ASM that we can all kick around for a few days, hopefully spur a round of high fives
cmon Z, we've all been patiently waiting to get this party started, please give us the good news now
prop, good call on bcrx
buz, in the course of a decade what's another quarter, lol
hey, but anyone that wants to throw in the towel now, go for it I say
also, if you want to ask low brow questions to a legend like FL like, hey what value do you add here chump, go for it I say
personally, I am more confident than ever, and think the ASM will give investors several really noteworthy progress notes on developments occurring on multiple fronts
we are closer to commercialization by far than we have ever been, and my take away from recent management communications is that the hurdles they have in front of them are smaller than those behind them, and there is a air of confidence that they will succeed, but it will take a bit longer, and of course patience is a commodity wearing thin
keeping the faith
my guess is that they have developed multiple prototypes at this point, just hoping that these guys are willing to share some of the developments with investors here soon, the key of course is the specs and the repeat-ability, and the benchmarks they deem necessary to achieve before going public with the details
also this is just on the home front developments
here's to hoping we get a substance pr before the ASM !
Buz, not only that, but it looks like there are devices being kicked around and characterized at this point
yup, I've harped on this point before, it's all about device now, not just materials
devices devices devices
and remember, we were told devices on about 4 different fronts going on now
keep the faith

ps- and yes, this IS what this board is all about, sharing info people
Rick, I agree, however this patent would appear to be a workaround for them, you need to read steps 302 through 326 which are illustrated in a drawing in figure 3, to view it I had to download a tiff viewer compatible with the patent office file format
I'm not sure of how much value this patent will be for them, but the market seems to like it
Gates, yeah no one here seemed interested, but the patent seems to give them a work around process to get their material used at the board or chip level, seems like a pretty good process for them, we can do better, question of course is, if/when ?
keep the faith

any impact on us here?
Steve, could you tell us all here more detail, was this a verbal discussion? if so, with whom? if not, could you share the emails exchanged here? what was the date of the discussion/emails? were you given any progress notes or expectations? tia
glad to be able to demonstrate the capabilities of our company first hand
gates, nice to know someone here is paying attention, lol, it sure sounds like they have some sort of prototype working at this point, and also don't forget the LSS has working devices now as well
the ASM being scheduled early this year has me hopeful that this years bag of beans will have some golden nuggets mixed in as well, we'll see
keeping the faith
anybody following the dbsi founder swenson trial I found this recent update, interesting read
http://grandjurytarget.com/2013/06/11/can-you-indict-corporate-executives-without-alleging-a-single-act-showing-intent/#more-94
fyi- swenson/dbsi/gig related
why is the Governor of Delaware interested? oh I don't know, maybe because these guys actually got something big here
what about that?
probably not buz, I think they should have it available via the internet for all shareholders to attend, at least on a listen mode if not interactive for any q&a portion, but I highly doubt that will be happening, so I trust that you & x and others here will give the board a reasonably good synopsis of the event, maybe they will raffle off a working prototype as a door prize, lol, but seriously I really hope the UCB newly consolidated effort produces something to show by then, geeesh
booyah! I'm more confident than ever before, and soon I will be telling all of you doubting Thomas's "I told ya so"
haha, jmho too, of course
don't forget that there are device prototypes already in existence at our LSS

Rick, I agree, and if we are successful in getting designed in for use in large system builds, I presume telcordia testing occurs coincident with the process development, thoughts anyone?
Buz, as tempting as that sounds to start on the slippery slope of poking around, I think I will pass and wait for my information to arrive by way of pr's and cc's, spiced up with the random dot connecting, speculation, heresay, and conjecture found here, lol
buz, nice find, would like to be a fly on the all over there

thanks george, appreciate your reply
buz, also consider the pace of the progress, the spacer took about 1-2 years, then the patents took about 2-3 years more, the big name talent slowly was added over that course of time, and just now we are seeing the fruits of getting some "real" funding behind the development of the materials into commercial devices
