so are the materials ready for prime time now? have they met the additional requirements for internal needs as well as for the LSS?
how important was the design aspects of the chips now completed and sent to OpSIS?
will the early summer bring multiple transceiver protos with complete specs that are tons the best?
thoughts anyone?
X, enjoy your vacation, glad to hear you are still alive and kicking!
has X been hit by the proverbial mack truck, been abducted by aliens, or possibly gone the way of sargeantschultz?
buz, any idea how important the chip design aspects are to success, and how much time was spent on this design work?
from the open letter,
This is already moving forward and we expect to have initial proof of concept devices available for testing in late Q1 2014. This initial SOH effort will baseline and prove out the circuits. The next run will be coated with our polymer materials, which is slated for late Q2 2014.
so does the chip design work yield the initial proof of concept devices in-house, and then OpSIS ramps up the production for us?
booyah! looks like the transceiver protos will be coming by the hundreds in early summer, hopefully the detailed specs will be tons the best over what the current market has to offer

anyone seen x? guess he's hibernating too
I wonder what the detailed specs on Terry's protos were, I think there were about 100 modulators he created back then, would be interesting to know, didn't he show them off at the ASM?
did anyone here get to see them close up?
the important thing to take away from Terry's protos is that Terry is still here with us working with these materials, that in and of itself tells me that these materials can and will succeed, or Terry would have hit the happy trails long ago, he ain't hanging around for the water cooler chit chat or to gain a little walking around money, lol
yup, that was back in the days of the shoestring budgets, and apparently as we all learned much later, before the materials process could yield consistent results
things are much different today, the repeatability of the materials process is now at commercially viable levels and the recent funding by LPC has given them the ability to build proper lab environments to advance the developments more rapidly
cmon Z, it's TIME to deliver on the real device developments, we are all waiting for team lightwave to put us on the investor radar once and for all for good!
reds, sounds good man, count me in!
glug glug glug
Hi Rubes, thanks, just been laying low, hibernating like a big ole bear most of February was a blur to me, lol, still think we got a big winner here, hoping the shareholder letter bullet points come home to roost, I know we're all tired of waiting, but I for one am staying the course no matter, would prefer a pr sooner rather than later, maybe this week still, but for sure by next week, sure hope we don't have to wait for the Q1 conf call to get some device development news
I'm thinking March should be a good month, after all it closes out the 1st quarter, and I believe we are supposed to be getting some device development news by end of the quarter, correct?
Also, I know X seems to think there are a couple of partnerships in the works, I hope he is right on that call, we'll see
sure would be nice to wake up to a device pr one of these days here soon, cmon Z, make our day!
x, yup, key point, LSS next up! plus internal device developments as well, the gears are turning!
does this mean that the perk tweaking efforts have been successful?
if so, that should translate as well for other internal device development needs, as well as needs of the LSS. correct?
yup, if all that early funding wasn't wasted on a flawed molecule (dalton/lumera/gig) and had been used to fund perk, the true gen materials would be operating in multiple billion dollar markets today
considering everything that BSmith has told us about himself, I can't imagine he would not know Brad Smith of OpSIS, so with that in mind why o why would he have chosen that particular ID to come to this board and launch an all out assault on perk, would he not have considered Brad Smith's reputation may be hurt by those here misconstruing him to be the real BSmith?
Wise, if you like the paradoxical, you may enjoy Dr Quantum - Double Slit Experiment, and the measurement problem
Wiseguy, I'll just say that seasaw2020 is very intelligent and well studied in the science side of things, certainly a voice worth listening to when it comes to that, and as you know, it really is all about the science, at least until such time as it becomes a business (ie selling something, lol), you can check with X and PC to see if they concur, also if you noticed from the link I provided even ponzi gave him some much deserved recognition upon return
buz, yup serious indeed, and I provided a link to that post of seasaw2020 made on 1/9/2014
of note to longtimers here, sesaw2020 made a brief appearance on the yahoo msg board a few weeks ago in case you missed it, after having not posted in the past couple of years at all, personally I take this as a sign of good things getting very close on the horizon, and wish seasaw2020 would join us for discussions on this msg board as well

BS I will repeat my request of you in case you "missed it" amongst all the postings here, I await your reply
BSmith said, I'm not trying to increase my credibility but I will tell you that I have worked with Academia (not a professor because I despise most), Industry (optics, semiconductors), and most recently investors.
In addition, in quite a few of your posts you seem to be pumping the following:
1) Soluxra
2) Alex Jen
3) UW
Also, you still have not replied to my repeated request related to if you are under an NDA with LWLG since you claim to have had 1st hand workings with lightwave materials
Also, you have stated in post #9503 I have no association with GIG or LWLG. I do know a lot more about LWLG than I am telling you. I told you a few things in the previous post
Your claim to having no association with GIG or LWLG seems contradictory to your claim to having had 1st hand workings with lightwave materials
Also, you seem to refer to yourself as a "researcher", and you have said you are not a chemist (FWIW)
Also, you on multiple occasions have said the following (not necessarily in exact words)
1) take what I am saying with a grain of salt
2) I'm not here to trash the company or the materials
3) there is always some degree of lying/untruths within the science industry
Lastly, you certainly have "AMPED UP" your attack on lightwave just before Christmas, timing-wise this is coincident with the GIG stock offering by Roth & the other broker (who coincidently BOTH put out BUY rating on GIG a couple weeks prior to the stock offering & managed to get the stock pps to jump 30% prior to announcing the offering brokered by the same two brokers)
So, riddle me this, what reasons caused you to bounce from Academia, to Industry, and now to Investing?
Also, how long ago did you bounce to Investing, and presumably out of Science completely?
Also, interesting that in several of your posts you express disdain for professors
Also, what brokerage firm are you working with currently, and are you involved with any public stock offerings?
BTW, I am currently driving in my 1977 Pinto multitasking writing this post while changing out my 8 Track tape to listen to this Kansas song now
BS, how is it again that you are not under NDA having claimed to work with perk first hand?
also, you say you work with investors now, when is the last time you worked in material sciences?
here comes vida blue... This proprietary process has created two new material systems, which have demonstrated outstanding electro-optic values. In addition, initial thermal stability results exceed any commercially available organic nonlinear polymer material systems.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/lightwave-logic-develops-unique-methodology-153000446.html
pr BOOYAH! The apathy and OT indices prevailed!
Lightwave Logic Develops Unique Methodology to Combine Multiple Chromophores into a Single Polymer Host
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/lightwave-logic-develops-unique-methodology-153000446.html
apathy and OT indices have both hit the red zones, and the markets seem to be crashing these past few trading days to boot, all this contrarian data begs a pr of substance here, I think we are due for one soon anyway based on what Z told us to expect in the first quarter
my bets are on february being a good month to be long here
still keeping the faith
we should be due for a pr here any day now, the last update was really at the beginning of December right?
cmon Z it's time set the world on fire
I think they are more like a series of hexagonal shaped wheels so that when you circle the wagons it sounds like clunk clunk clunk
reds, and I never thought the best progress notes ever from a quarterly conference call would have put the stock down 30% in the first place, games will be played as x says
thanks Steve, good read, also to note dispels the myth that these folks are in it for the options granted to them
prop, looks like you single handedly killed the rally right at the top with this post, we dropped 20% since you posted it, maybe you are just plain bad luck here
anyway, I am not superstitious like you, I will now call for the rally to resume here now, mark this post
haha, break a mirror baby~
Rubes, don't forget last time lightwave pps ran to about 1.25 and stayed above 1.00 long enough to tap LPC, but they DID NOT tap LPC
prop said Let us hope this move is not just another attempt to raise funds. Looking forward to next few weeks.
but just 2 short weeks ago prop said I have no position currently as I was tired of the waiting and the excuses as well. Nothing ever seemed to materialize from the intentions of management. I still look from time to time at the price and think of coming in next month but who knows.
(post 9505)
so the trojan horse long is back? are we suppose to cheer, f/no we had the farewell party already for you buster, you are a "gamer" and if the pps begins to fall I'm quite sure you will throw us all another whine party
walter, the trouble is ponzi will post incessantly to bury what you describe as a solution time to time say something normal on that message board
we need to all post over there again, particularly when there are pr's published which are drawing new investor eyeballs to see what people are saying
KC, glad to see others can see what I see, the yahoo stock board is where most investors look for what other investors are saying
I propose the need to take back the yahoo message board by all who post here, particularly when pr's are issued so that ponzi & clones do not run rampant with lies and deceptions aimed at steering any/all potential investors to run away from lightwave
I propose we maintain this message board whenever a post requires a need to share links as yahoo does not currently allow links
I hope Tom will better accommodate investors with more prompt updates of the progress notes related to the open letter statement " 2014 is our technology productization year and we are both confident about our technical edge and our understanding of what are the addressable markets. We intend to show the world an array of working devices in not one, but in a multitude of applications and industries.", the open letter set multiple targets for various developments, it would be nice to get mid-quarter updates (dreaming?)
Buz, the yahoo board is being looked at by potential investors, it can't be "the ponzi show" 24/7
Sean, so See Thru Equity did the research and formed there opinion including a price target on Lightwave all at their own expense, but if Lightwave wanted that opinion expressed publicly (via pr) versus just to those spending to buy their investment report, then Lightwave had to compenste them for the time and effort to draft the pr, and also to pay the cost to publish the pr via the news wire service

BSmith, one document for 350 degrees I know of
http://third-order.com/print/third-order_tech3.pdf
see page 7
One single integrated molecular design concept resolves all the major
environmental stability issues associated with organic materials, primary
among these being thermal and
photo-chemical stability. The rigid,
ring-locked structure provides
stability up to approximately
350oC, well above the requisite
300oC necessary for vertical
integration into electrical circuitry
BSmith, reviewing your posting history, there seems to be a push for Soluxra and for Alex Jen and UW
I also remember one of your earlier posts saying that you had worked in Academia, in Industry, and now currently in Investments, although I have not found that post specifically (perhaps deleted?) Is that correct? Are you not currently working with the science side of things, but rather with the investment side of things?
BSmith, I'll ask this again of you,
BSmith, just curious, are you bound by an NDA for your 1st hand workings with Perk materials? If not, how is that so?
BSmith asks He only gets options right? No monetary compensation?
what difference does it make? you keep implying that all these high level guys are boneheads and are having the wool pulled over their eyes
I assume he has mega-bucks in his pocket just from the Qtera buyout alone, and that a few more bucks ain't this dude's motive to be on board here
