Why, DR Bill!
Would be nice, but in your prior post you said:
" then all the oil people in the world would be jumping on board. They know what works and if its that new and revolutionary I would think we would see more buying than we do"
Unfortunately, as much as I like the .6, this quote makes more sense to me.
db
lets see---- .6 times 1.8 shares is $1.08 per share of GRIFCO. + whatever Grifco trades at. Too good to be true test says it is too good to be true. Hope you are right.
Here's an idea.
If the 12% of the shares are to pay for a "clean shell" and shells go for 250 to 500K, and ----- there are 75 million shares, then 9 million shares are worth between 2.7 and 5.5 cents. So the spin off is worth 5+ to 11 cents per share of GRIFCO stock. Somebody tell me this is wrong please.

WGMGY.OB, WGP.L
Great thread, Found this place in time to make some O@G money before the pull back. Thanks to all the knowledgeable posters here. I have been a member here for years, and a member of SI for longer(grandfathered) As I know some of you have been. Don't post often, but I think the following stock meets the criteria here and provides a unique opportunity.
Word Gaming, a maker and provider of online sports book, casino, and poker software,WGMGY.OB on the Nasdaq and WGP on the AIM in London, also trading in Frankfurt, is in the process of acquiring their biggest licensee. Due to AIM rules, requiring a stop in trading when a smaller company acquires a larger one, trading is supended until the deal is consumated. The Nasdaq has followed suit, apparently in five day increments. The company they are buying at 6 times current earnings of 16 million this year and judging by the increase in licencing fees recieved by WGMGY from Sportingbet is growing at almost 50% per year. 75% of the purchase price is cash so dilution will be minimal. WG kept 5 million shares in reserve after the move the AIM, that are in the current share count and are saleable on the open market or in private placement, which is more likely. Dilution is likely to be much less than less than 10 million shares. At Sportingbet's current growth rate they will make 22 million in the coming year, and in the mid thirties the following year. WG will have recovered the purchase price in less than three years and the model is in place for continued acquisition of licencees.
Organic growth for WGMGY, without including the acquisition of Sportsbetting or the two new licencees signed earlier this year was about 50%. With the new licencees and the acquisition in place earnings will soar. The new licencees have been up and running for a while now and WG thought they would be adding to revenue this winter.
This company provides a greater comfort level than many OB stocks as evidenced by institutional investment.
Institutional investors include Man Financial, Bear Stearns, Credit Agricole, and Fidelity. Though not required by the AIM, WG provides voluntary quarterly reports. Financial info including SEC filings can be found at the company web sight:

The growth here is spectacular, It can't last forever but these companies are in a rapid growth phase that I think will last for a few more years before slowing a bit. Yahoo has quotes for wgmgy.ob and the london price in pence wgp.l Clear station shows 46million outstanding shares and a trailing PE of 11. and a market cap of just under 150 million.
The acquistion requires the vote of shareholders at an annual general meeting to be held late this month. The AIM won't trade til then, and I think the Nasdaq will follow suit.
Since the stock won't trade untill then, you have time for all the DD you need. On the Nasdaq it was at 3.23 and climbing when trading stopped. My guess is it will go over four the day trading resumes. I think it will be ten dollars a share by next december and 20 in the following year.

Dr. Bill,
You said:
"I have never seen this before and the market might not understnd what's going on. I might not either but I'll be sure to let you all know my opinion of the downside..."
It is starting to look like a career move.(G)
db
Anyone here follow VYST? I have made some money swing trading it from the .2 area, but am thinking of holding this time around. Sales and revenues keep increasing, if they can meet operating expenses for a while it looks like they will become profitable.
db
Dr Bill,
"The potential is just too huge to sell out so it's either going to be 20X or nothing, but I know a few people here are in it too too big to be able to tolerate "nothing". The return potential outweighs the risk, especially at .3."
I agree.
db
I respect your opinion on many things, but we have to agree to disagree on this one. I too am somewhat sceptical about GFCI. I figure that the earliest I could get out if it turns bad is about .2, maybe lower. My average entry is .36, I think the odds are less than even that it pans out, but if it does it could go 10 to 20x. I am happy with that, in fact I enjoy this kind of play, when they pay off it makes the losers ok.
I disagree on Bill though. His imaginary scenarios have no basis in any kind of fact that I can see, and he keeps coming up with new ones. If he is actually long this stock, which I find hard to believe, then he can't deal with the high risk of buying pinks, he needs to buy bonds and worry about the fed. It is like listening to a little kid scream about a small owie. AT first you are simpathetic, then it just becomes tiresome. Especially since the wounds are self inflicted. So he can be either one, a repetitive whiner or short supplying disinformation. I am not simpathetic.
Put a bandade on it Dr bill, you should know how.
db
Dr Bill's repeated posts with "a bag of cash" and who would look for the owner scenarios, week after week, only make sense to me if he is short GFCI or he is looking for a low entry point, or he is working for a professional short. He claims he represents friends with a large position but does not want to hurt the stock by selling. I guess his talking the stock down is a big help to them. If he were doing that kind of "favor" for me, we would need to revue our friendship.
If you take his BS seriously I have a bridge for sale you may want to look at.
Just my opinion.
db
CXTI. Either way if they aquire by conversion 4% of shares and then "short against the box" IE go short that many shares is their net position zero allowing a greater number of shares to be converted as the price of the stock declines?
If there is some limmit to what the finacers can do with what appears to be a floorless convertible, then CXTI becomes attractive again. So far it looks to me like a very poor finance package. Would love to hear otherwise.
db
I have been looking for an entry point, but I will wait until a conversion price is esablished for the convertibles. Great looking company before this financing announcement.
db
A google search of "floorless convertibles" will give you a pretty negative view.
Dr Bill,
"just want some answers, besides the two that are routinely given."
Now that I finally have the position at the price I think I want,(G), I agree. Thankfully that poorly written low content PR did not come from Grifco. When I first saw it I concidered selling half my position at a small loss, assuming I could get out. This Co looks like a crap shoot, lose half or go 5 to 10x. If, or should I say IF!, we get financials, and half the stuff being rumored is true, it will make for a nice gain. If not, it will be hard to get out above .15. I think we are in agreement.
db
Dr Bill,
"Someone please set a limit buy for a million shares today at 40 becaus we couldn't get out of many shares at all without cripping the stock."
And you don't want to cripple the stock because...?
And you bought 3/4 of a million shares because...?
Hard to understand your motives unless one thinks in negative terms. You don't have a naked short position do you?
db
Interesting,
I suppose I am one of the few buying shares here. We will see in time how it works out. My bids were slow to fill all day, even when I hit the ask. Apparently we are having a different experience. Maybe you should try a no limmit sell. (G)

Those three big sellers were no help to me.
I wonder how much of the 200 billion the Fed has pledged for Katrina alone will be spent covering insurance company exclusions.
db
hweb2,
Any chance that the perception is that a resort stock is seasonal, and it is September? Looks good to me.
db
Re WGMGY,
I am beginning to think 20 is possible.

"The first rule of biotech investing is: do not get scammed!"
Maybe that should be the first rule of any investing. I like the story here on GTCB, but I understand there will ALWAYS be people in the know before me. For me, the technicals will tell me when to get in and out before news will.

looks like you got your breakout.

Continuing upward, resistance 1.8 - 1.9, Q1 report tuesday, guidance was for accelerating growth. In London it is still trading the equivalent of 10 cents higher. If it gets above 1.9 it will take off over the next few weeks. IMO
db
EP,
No offense taken, appreciate your reply. I am playing it in a fairly big way for me, I bought the WGMGY ADRs. The stock also trades on the AIM in London, as WGP.L, more volume there, making it a little more attractive. The London price runs a little higher than the BB price, but I think they will converge.
Good luck,
db
EP,
Does this fit your criteria?

Just listed on the AIM in London, Q1 out soon, expect news on aquisitions and new licensees this summer. Your kind of chart?
db
Wave,
I agree about the APYM RB board, I look at it once in a while and use the daily number of posts as an interest indicator. Works like trading volume, giving another take on level of interest. High numbers of posts on up moves, less on sideways to down. Ha! Would be interesting if someone quantified it. I don't think APYM is done by any means. It is on my watch list.

EP
BIPH looks like it could reach 1.90s.
Take a look at GERN, seems to have turned around against the market. I am in at 6.06 a few days ago. Chart may fit the criteria here:

You like GERN here? May have finally started up. In a couple of days ago at 5.95.
AOBO Slightly red now, will hold a little longer with shaky hands.

AOBO currently taking off.

Another from the online gaming sector.

EP,
I am new to this board, followed you over from Raging Bull. I have been around RB an SI for years. Noticed we have stocks in common. I am currently in BIPH from 2.82 and have been in and out of APYM with nice returns over the last few weeks. Currently Like you, I am looking for a reentry point on Asia Pay.
A board search here showed no recent posts on World Gaming. (WGMGY) It is currently in an impressive up move on less than stellar volume, but it looks like it may fit your criteria. I have owned it at various levels for quite some time, my position now is far and away the biggest it has been. Typically I look for bottoms, (I know you don't), this is not a bottom play right now, and may be breaking out. Would not know where to pick an entry point, as I said I am in and will not add at this point. Right now I am taking to heart your quote about doing nothing. Ha!
If you are interested let me know what you think.
Best regards,
db
