couple of blocks pushed at the ask 23k shares at 1.03 and 20k shares at 1.00, up between 5% and 10% on the day so far, not too shabby people
looks to me that someone is taking a position this am!
Steve, not sure about the need for an 8k to tap LPC, the stock was above 1.00 for about a month solid so I know they had the opportunity to load up some extra cash, but sincerely my hope is that they did not do that here at just over a buck, but rather the extreme confidence in the near-term future exuded by Tom Z , Joe M, and our new addition Mr L, I would think additional monies would be raised north of 2.00
BOOYAH
up 5% in premarket? BOOYAH!
perhaps a JV announcement in the works?
"mining 2017 is his target" thanks LCP, I knew there would be a timeline of hurdles before the mining operations would have a chance at being the big success all here are excited about, looks like investors here will require much patience ahead
I am somewhat concerned about the valuation here currently, as the huge run up in pps valuation since the raise was done at 15 cents (correct?), what scares me near-term if the technical support sma(200) on a 1 year chart being so much lower at 38 cents needs to be tested, the selloff required could be fast and furious, and I fear many here are mo-mo players who will only accelerate this selling
that said, I am watching & will wait to invest yet
meanwhile, I wish you all great success!
LCP, thanks for your reply
I followed MCP through its meteoric rise and fall, and I have been watching the similar meteoric rise here
so when will the actual full scale mining occur and the fat profits begin to roll in, any idea on this time-frame? tia
and good luck to all here!
just watched this video from a few years ago
F2, a like your Spirit buddy, and I believe you are right about the pace of things accelerating rapidly now, looking forward to the patch to be sure!
exciting times!
wise said "until finally our impatient and greedy personas are thoroughly cleansed of maleficent iniquity"
wow, spooky at a distance, wise you have finally made me feel the effects of quantum entanglement, guess now we just have to wait for an outside observation so that this wave collapses and then presumably we all can get rich, lol
and yes, still patiently waiting
PurpleCritter said "I feel certain the vote requirement guidelines are the same as they were in 2008, which was the last time this same company had a similar vote which took them from 50 million authorized to the present 100 million authorized; that particular share increase proposal passed by the way."
I did not recall this, so I pulled up the 2007 10K document and in the Balance Sheet Equity section of the 2007 vs 2006 Balance Sheet it shows,
Common stock $0.001 par value, 100,000,000 authorized
33,690,075 and 27,888,750 issued and outstanding at
December 31, 2007 and 2006
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1325964/000094344008000121/form10ksb-rev1.txt
Purple where are you seeing 50 mil to 100 mil in 2008 as this does not seem right based on the 2007 10K doc ?
wow, bummer, so how quick can they get another vote to "get er done"?
I'm thinking should be able to do this still in 2014, agree?
I see multiple things on near-term horizon as follows,
1) one or more joint ventures
2) a deal already in the works seems likely due to the elevated issue made over the need for increased shares
3) the receipt of chips from IMEC and OpSIS
4) multiple new materials based on Unique Methodology to Combine Multiple Chromophores into a Single Polymer Host
and don't forget the industry knows the freight train is coming and is stepping up renewed interest in true next-gen materials & devices, just look at IBM lookin to invest 3 billion from their recent pr, lightwave is finally in the right place at the right time with the right solutions to the future
exciting times!
BOOYAH BABY
I agree Gates, Miller gave us strategy points key to protecting our tech, this is of major importance; it takes so long to process new patents, so I am hopeful the key tent pole patents are currently in place, and that the combination of trade secrets and a continual path to performance improvements will be able to keep the wolves at bay
The software that they were excited about is apparently (I’m guessing that Bintz did it) Algorithms that are able to calculate the results of the various mixtures of chromphohores before they make a batch, pretty cool.
I agree with you X, that is the software referenced that is extremely exciting to me and I would like to know more about it, I am presuming this is an internally developed software (Bintz? hmmm, not sure he programs but may have been the functional spec expert in development thereof), not some canned software, so could possibly provide us with a distinct advantage by predicting results in theory without wasting time in practice, truly very exciting indeed!
BOOYAH BABY!
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=104703855
but apparently more than you buzzard, lol
so what the heck is Lauro doing buz, guess now YOU know...
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=103960259
if you really believe what you say here,
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=103961379
then SELL SELL SELL
There are many ways to structure deals and work around the shares issue near-term, I'd guess within 3 months another vote will be taken and it passes easily, it is not as big an issue as this message board wants to make it imo
oh, and I never ever said what you wrote was a statement, it was clearly a question, and imo not an outside the box question, and know this, your "question" is not only an insult to Tom Zelibor and our BOD, but it challenges their very integrity, and that I for one do not appreciate
you may be right in saying "mgmt made a foolish and easily avoidable mistake"
they may well have envisioned the vote to be a slam dunk and not needing a big push to accomplish, and they simply were wrong and now look bad
sheet happens
I still don't believe for a single minute your earlier posting,
"Is it possible that the company did not want the vote to pass but wanted the appearance that they did?"
too funny, have you lost your mind or was it never really there?
of note and consistent with the open letter from Tom Z, there is an overwhelming sense of confidence he is exuding now that was never the case in all the days he has been at the helm, Tom has always been the voice of reason and measure, setting doable goals and pretty well achieving them as set out, but never has he sounded so pumped up as he does currently!
also I get the air about the room that there is much that cannot be told to us yet, but seems secure in Z's sights, read between the lines people
we are now right between a freight train coming and rocket launching!
BOOYAH BABY!
thanks KCC for that summary!
I reiterate that my level of being a believer in this tech remains at an all-time high, and that the progress notes are showing the acceleration of the process to achieve the commercial devices long awaited
BOOYAH BABY!
Rick, from what I have read this tech seems to be using LiNbO3 and also it is using parallel processing of multiple streams to achieve 100gb
Rick, here is a link to their whitepapers, please let us know what you think of their tech
http://acacia-inc.com/knowledge-center/white-papers/
spooks, for true next gen materials/devices the invested capital here is minuscule in relation to the billions having been spent by the industry as a whole, not to mention in relation to announced future spending budgets as well (ie ibm 3 billion, etc), heck lumera alone had over $200 million pissed away on its tech, and look where that is today, lightwave has only got what $50 million or so invested into so far
and some here say we should be spending way more to "get er done" asap, (ie hire a ton of scientists, etc)
personally I think Z has been moving things along at a pretty good clip, but when things accelerate, the investment capital necessary to do what needs to be done may require more than the current authorized shares, do you really want to handcuff a potential emerging giant
not me, jmho
ASM, would be nice if web enabled questions were an option, somehow I doubt web audience will be able to participate, perhaps in the future
if possible, perhaps there could be a phone number given to the web participants to phone in proposed questions
thanks Z and co for getting us all "in the door" this year!
Booyah Baby! we ALL be going to the ASM this year!
I think there is a BIG reason for this!
BOOYAH!
"will provide the Company with the ability to issue shares in connection with acquisitions, stock splits or dividends, the sale of common stock or preferred stock to raise additional capital, stock option and other equity compensation arrangements and other general corporate purposes."
I am all in favor of a 2 for 1 stock split once we hit $100/share, once we blast off it should be no time until we reach $100
booyah!
while we patiently wait, more on the measurement problem, and the wacky quantum world
http://news.yahoo.com/quantum-particles-road-most-traveled-110832778.html
FWIW, Intel lifted the veil today on its 14nm process and shared many, many details on it
http://www.forbes.com/sites/patrickmoorhead/2014/08/11/intels-14nm-process-is-alive-and-well-thank-you/?partner=yahootix
this is going to be a great day!
welcome back sarge!
booyah baby!
and to trojan longs and non-believers, quit your whining, and SELL SELL SELL
prop said "a lot of the recent hires have jumped ship"
prop sold most of his shares and will now bash incessantly here to try and drive the price down for his re-entry with profits out of your pockets longs, or so he hopes

is POETF really viable competition for LWLG?
yesterday they released an independent report saying their IP is worth north of $2 billion, so is that what LWLG IP is worth as well, or more?
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/poet-technologies-announces-completion-valuation-123000768.html
so 1 month ago today they added this well accredited individual to their team
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/poet-technologies-appoints-ajit-manocha-123000356.html
now 1 month ago, the poetf stock was trading above $2 per share and today it traded below a buck
anyone here care to make the comparison of this company to ours?
KCC, nice find, here is a link may interest you too
http://udel.edu/~hujuejun/
microchips, good stuff, prop is a 2 bit trader back to bash here again now that he has drastically scaled back presumably just hours before his re-emergence here, he will now stay here trying to talk this stock down fervently so as to simply buyback and profit
smars, you are probably right, but it was interesting to see how fast that post was removed, who done it?
so two brand new posters show up at the close today, both 1st time posts were very interesting, and news to me
anyone else know anything about these two items of interest?
max limit of 1.2. ?
that is 1.20 I guess?
buy out negotiations started?
says who?
Guys, we're at $1.20 a share - up 7 plus percent yesterday alone. Our PR's leak like a sieve. You really think?
I'll say it again, stocks go up and stocks go down, if this rally continues and we take out the 3.33 high of 2012 then I suspect there is underlying news of substance on the devices , which will eventually surface to be sure
x said "IMO If this move up is due to a deal or the science this will begin to increase exponentially"
x, I agree, if sarge is right and these guys are in the process of ticking off the final check-mark(s) and the commercial tons the best protos will be out this fall, and the market, being a forward pricing mechanism, is rightly anticipating the magnitude of news that will be reported in the coming months, then imo the pps will take out the 2012 highs of 3.33 rather quickly
f2, I agree, but I've had these thoughts before as one of the long timers here, I still would like to know who the 3rd party device is that has been operating without degradation for over six months now in ambient conditions, perhaps they are the force behind the recent buying activity?
anyone know anything there?
I have another thought or two as to what may well be behind this recent volume surge and apparent accumulation but will keep that to myself for the time being
six said "But of course, but not willing to buy my shares. Anyone else? X?"
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=92273169
well six, just a friendly reminder that your target to get out whole and never look back is virtually upon you, please don't forget to take this opportunity to SELL SELL SELL this time like you did the last time you had the chance in Oct 2013, remember, you should have taken 1.10 as you said here
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=101361635
and then if it goes back to 75 cents (the pp pricing) like it did recently, you can buy em all back!
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=102201940
you are welcome! (in advance)
