yourffaiper, You are welcome!!
I agree with nwau, rsgc, bwlrf, hqsm but don't know gzfx, advc or scxc. Hope you make lots of money!!!
Sorry I can't speak Italian. How did you find us??

Argyll, you have picked many favorites here but need to know what your timeframe is(taxable, looking for cap gains, IRA long term, etc), your preferred style(trading, holding) and your risk profile(balls out, can't lose any of this, can earn more if I lose this, looking for a double in 6 months, etc).
Don't want your life history but need more info to recommend best stocks depending on your hold period and expectations.

I think we need the financials but a lot depends on what q4 looks like. In other words, they have projected .30eps but we don't know if that includes a lot of navi-com growth or if they are already earning .075 per qtr.
If the published financials are close to .075, then we are off to the races and $2 is possible by 1/31/05. I think it will take the first qtr financials in May 05 to get to a realistic valuation closer to $3 but first things first.
Need SEC filing and good financials.

Didn't work!! Hmmm. Will fiddle around and see if I can get it to work. Later. Bobwins

Here is what you have to do to copy something and have it post like you copied it.
Put < > before your first part of the paste. Insert the letters pre between the <>.
After the last part of your paste, another < > with the letters /pre between the < >.
Try it, you'll like it!

OK ladies and germs.... for the first time in 2005, I'm hauling out my buddy.....

TGA +.27 @5.28, will probably fade at the close but still pretty good for 80 bpd well!!!
Nwau.pk +.195 to .905
If I can avoid a big loss in MDF, I will be banging the cymbals!!!

I am expecting that Tall will miss their original guidance of .01eps. I am also expecting that they will miss their revised guidance of .005 to .001.
I still expect a very positive increase in q4, probably in the .002 range with positive guidance going forward. I think if they had really made q4, we would have seen some PR about some significant deals signed. You can't increase net profits from .001 to .004 in one qtr without some significant deals.
JMHO Bobwins
shmoopy38. I bought some sotk.ob. Looks like they will hit about .07eps for fye 2/05. That's about a 40 p/e. Any hope of a big change in sales and profits to bring that down soon? Bobwins
PalmBeach re scxc.pk
First this is a pink sheet and doesn't remotely qualify as a Value Microcap candidate. Second there is no info on the company to form an opinion. The last SEC doc filed was in late 2003. Issuing lots of shares, losing money. Now in security, apparently. 1/10/05 PR says they are selling to military. Possibly this is a VMzipcodechanger stock but can't tell, not enough info. Bobwins
Hadn't heard of any labor problems other than the dispute between the two unions. This is obviously from an employee. I don't usually put too much weight on something like this. The numbers should tell the story. My previous info was that the area around the mine was extremely happy that the mine was reopening because jobs were not that plentiful.
That cuts both ways. If employees are actually quitting, replacing them may be difficult. OR employees who quit are shooting themselves in the foot because good jobs are hard to find. Maybe if this guy is disgruntled and quits, the company benefits. Can't keep every employee happy and run a profitable business. Bobwins
wade re Daat.ob I sold some of my Daat because I thought it would be slow to move. Of course it recently popped up in price. The seasonality of the sales hurts valuation because it encourages investors to try to "time" owning Daat.ob during and up to the q4 report.
They have mentioned the non lethal weapon for quite some time. I think the recent Taser disaster should warn competitors how difficult this field can be. There are so many liabilities tied to this field that I don't know if it's worth it.
Daat is good at evolutionary products. They are introducing new products that are slight variations to their existing product lines.
I am holding for the q4 results. I'm not sure I would buy now. The recent runup assumes that q4 hit the numbers.

I owned adnw for 6 or 8 months. Didn't do much except slide down. Sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure these guys can execute. Lots of big expectations but either they had trouble merging all these acquisitions or they will succeed but it will take longer than they anticipated.
Either way, I decided there were more immediate movers to invest in.

The magazine writer's attitude is pretty prevalent. Seemingly intelligent people have made up their minds without investigating. If we told them what kind of returns we get for the extra digging, they would dismiss it as speculative and risky. Like investing in google at 100 to 200 p/e isn't risky. Anyway, it just ignorance but it's part of what makes this overlooked niche so profitable for us. Bobwins
OT Here's what Americans consumers value:
Check this out, as of 2005, courtesy of The Gartman Letter:
A Gallon of...
Unleaded Gasoline $1.89/gallon
Diet Snapple $10.32
Lipton Ice Tea $9.32
Gatorade $10.17
Ocean Spray $10.00
Brake Fluid $33.60
Vick's Nyquil $178.13
Pepto Bismol $123.20
White Out $24.42
Scope Mouthwash $84.48
And how much does a gallon of Evian cost? The answer is an
astonishing $21.19!
re TGA, AN #14 was tiny at 80bpd. However it was south of existing AN field and separated by a fault block. This means TGA may have found another multiple well field opportunity.
TGA has to review seismics to see how to proceed. Will move rig to another new opportunity at Malaki exploratory site.
Bobwins
Sounds like 16 million was a mistake. Ck IHub nwau board. Bobwins
The Rally Monkee was cheated!!! Due to a late run by TGA, I was caught by surprise. TGA +.32 to 5.01!!
Don't know if this was in anticipation of drilling news from Yemen or just response to renewed strength in oil prices.
Another factor was the almost equal drop in Nwau.pk -.285 to .715. Luckily I have more shares of TGA than nwau.pk.
So all's well that ends well. Up a little and curious to see what TGA will deliver in the next few days in terms of news. Expecting results of AN #14 and possibly news that Harmel #2 is complete. They might throw in some Canadian ngas wells, too.

Got a call back from Michael Fisher, a stockholder in NWAU. He was one of the intial investors and was asked to return my call. Sounds like they are getting pretty busy.
He said that the standard navi-com units are not proprietary. They are purchased from third party sources and use the large network that provides the 98% coverage.
The uniqueness of nowauto rests in the market niche they have discovered in the subprime auto market. They make large margins on the used cars and the loans. The car lots have been selling lots of cars.
He said the dealer program is also very exciting. They have just signed a big distributor in the Midwest who was a former LoJack distributor. He has been using Navi-com units for a month and is very happy with the products. Fisher said that they are just starting to advertise the dealer program and cited the upcoming autoshow as an example of the increased effort to put the program in front of potential dealers/distributors.
He was very excited about a new portable unit that was developed just for Nowauto. The unit will be marketed to Law Enforcement. Navi-com units are currently used by the US Attorney's office and he thinks these units are a big improvement. He said the units have battery units that can be stacked depending on the need for battery life/surveillance time and can be quickly attached to vehicles.
No set date for submitting SEC docs. They are doing it as soon as possible but the new car lot acquisition delayed things.
Bobwins
kozuh, one reason I have stayed with Ameritrade is they truly have one flat fee. Scottrade adds .5% of principal if stock is under a buck. Still a nice drop if you are already using Scottrade. I think there are other brokers with a cheaper flat fee than Ameritrade's 10.99. I think Etrade is 9.99 and Schwab and TDWaterhouse might be in at the same price. Bobwins
I think the important part of the article was this:
"The cuts in part make a virtue of necessity, as some buyers in December were turning away offers of extra crude, because they didn't have any more room in their systems. The glut drove the prices of heavier, higher-sulfur crudes down to record discounts against the valued light, sweet crudes tracked by global benchmarks."
The Saudis were trying to prove their point that they had plenty of crude. They proved that they had plenty of sour heavier crude and stuffed the refineries with this oil until they said uncle. Saudis are doing the right thing. They are taking the excess out of the right areas. Short term heavy cuts in their heavier, sour grades of crude. Traders who made negative comments were probably hoping for a big drop in price. Saudis are just rebalancing market back to sustainable levels. I doubt we go back to $55 anytime soon but price will likely remain firm in the 40's. Bobwins
nyil.pk PR says they made $500K last yr and pink sheets says 35million shares out so they made .014(don't know if it's basic or diluted) So p/e is 12. Also said they are looking at merger with italian company so don't know how capital structure will end up. Bobwins
As you state, it's a pink so no financials. 30 million shares out so 30 million market cap. Looks like they may have been otc earlier in the year and originally said they were going to AMEX in q4.
I like the timing of electric scooters. I think they will sell like hotcakes in Europe. Don't know what the financials looks like. They must have gotten some venture capital money.
Good luck, product looks good and gas crunch will help them sell as well as zero pollution.
I probably wouldn't buy it unless I see the financials.
Bobwins
I used to own egam.ob a long time ago. I don't like the sector. I don't really care for the mgmt. They made some decisions that I didn't care for. They take a fairly high amt of compensation for a nongrowth company.
They just finished their big qtr at Xmas so they will have a good q4 to report but probably flattish q1 and q2. They aren't as seasonal as some video game companies because they sell budget titles that are not as seasonal.
Bobwins
If $100 million was the number, then they are talking about the on site facility. It will save TGB .20/lb in costs so will benefit the company and help ensure that they can survive even if copper drops below a buck. Currently operating at .90/lb cost so dropping .20 would increase the cushion substantially.
Problem with capital project like this is that the sooner they commit, the less it costs. So they will have to weigh dilution vs project costs vs project benefits to figure out best time to proceed with project and capital fundraising.
I would expect that if everything works out according to plans, they will likely move forward late in 2005 or 2006 so that they can get the project done by 2007. They may also be waiting to see if they can get assurances from other mines in the area that they would use the facility if it was built. That would give the project a much better base if they can get outside parties to use the facilty and contribute revs to the payback.
I be contrary just for the heck of it and say that I don't think you will see 50 million extra shares by year end 2005. They should be close to cashflow positive now and shouldn't be needing to issue a bunch of shares until they make the refinery decision, which I don't expect until 2006. Bobwins
kozuh....money back guarantee?? As a banker, we always AVOIDED making promises we couldn't or didn't want to keep.
This sounds like one of those didn't want to keep promises.
Oh, wait......Now I remember. I guarantee to refund the price of your newsletter subscription to Bobwins Stock Picks and Hotlicks if you are dissatisfied for any reason, including losing your shirt on otc and pink sheet scamolas!!
Geez, how could I forget the money back guarantee!! That's the core of our marketing concept!
Bobwins
wade, hard for me to comment on your estimates since I didn't talk to them or do the figures. They did a deal with Ledco where Ledco operates the mine and provides the equipment for 15% of the revs. If they buy additional equipment or equipment breaks down, I don't know if TGB is responsible or Ledco. Of course, they have been talking about putting a special hi efficiency refinery at the site to save costs. I think the refinery is a lot of money. Can't remember how many million.
That wasn't due for a while due to high costs. I doubt they attempt that until they establish solid profits and boost their share price so it won't be so dilutive.
Bobwins
OT don't know who talks these kids into jumping straight to the NBA. Hard enough for college grads to make the grade. Emotional maturity is a big thing. Rashard Lewis seems pretty grounded but he is an exception. Also don't know if he is smart enough to do anything else besides play video games but he seems to be pretty mature for someone who made the jump.
Poor Kansas. They have to raid the Seattle area to get their talent. We may have to put an extra security station at the Airport and refuse entry to those with a Kansas twang. Or at least an export duty!!! They are stealing our babies!!!
Bobwins
100 million authorized, not outstanding. Bobwins
Where did you get the ESD acronym? I didn't see it in the last sales PR.
BTW Kansas has given another Washington high school kid a scholarship. Of course, he is thinking about going NBA. OR is Kansas going to take the whole team and do an early entry to the NBA?? 6'8" Micah Downs.
mrgreen.... I think we've gone over this before. We set this board up to talk about profitable, low p/e companies.
Rssyf.ob ain't profitable. Please post these companies on our other board for VMZipcodechangers. Thanks Bobwins
They must have some significant holders that are liquidating. Lots of financing to get to this point of reopening mine and so lots of shares out there. Doesn't make a lot of sense since copper has rebounded from lows last month when China was rumored to be significantly slowing. I don't believe that China will stop their usage. I don't think they can build the housing necessary to accomodate the move from the farms to the cities without copper and a lot of other base metals.
TGB will still take quite a while to be recognized. q4 will still show losses due to mine startup. q1 should be profitable and that report will be key. If they can show potential for .10-.15/qtr, the stock should take off.
Bobwins
you didn't think my baseball bat was a clever non lethal weapon?? Bobwins
Copper and zinc are strong today. Copper is up to 1.438 and zinc is .558. Both high enough to make lots of money for TGB. Can't wait for q1 results. Should be profitable and moly concentrate at $35/lb should give q1 a big boost. Good base metal prices should also help bwlfr.ob.
I personally think that China along with other speculators is pushing the prices of base metals up and down to their advantage. Bobwins
speaking of Daat, are you spreading those Taser non lethal rumors again. Knowing how low tech Daat is, I'm guessing their non lethal taser device looks a lot like a baseball bat!!With Chinese characters instead of Louisville Slugger for a trademark! LOL! Bobwins
Am I the penguin walking along and you're one doing the headslap??? LOL!!! Bobwins
nyil is doing better today. Up .05 from .14 close yesterday. Not much volume at 51K. Still don't know if its for real. Mixing wood chips with coal makes everything better??
I can understand the concept of lots of trees being downed in Florida but how can you collect them efficiently and truck them to a central processing chip plant, then put them on a barge to Europe??
Bobwins
ok, here's my thinking. CEO is a venture capital type. He has dealt with at least two public companies. They are still trading and have been in business for many years. If he was orchestrating a big pump and dump, he must be figuring this is his last involvement in a public company because if he doesn't have the goods to back up .30eps or something close, then he will be labeled a crook and he won't be able to publicly declare his involvement in future investments or turnarounds. Why would he kill the golden goose???
He and I talked about this subprime used car business having a sleezy image. Only the involvement of the GPS unit makes this a good investment because it's sexy enough to overcome the bad used car lot image AND the average investor(that's me) can understand the application of technology to this business. It increases margins on the car sale, the car loan AND increases chances of recoverying the car if bad things happen. It's a home run in the used car business.
So I am thinking this is technology at its best. Taking a business that is as common as Starbucks and transforming it into a money maker. Think about Starbucks. They took all those sleezy greasy spoons that said CAFE on the outside and charged $.10 for a cup of coffee into fancy schmanzy latte' places and charge $3.50 for the same cup of java with some whipped cream or milk on top. What a concept!!!
Tell me you are taking the neighborhood breakfast joint public! What is your reaction??? Well, that's what Starbucks did. Every Mom and Pop cafe has been replaced by a fancy Starbucks and there is another 3 latte stands and Starbucks look alikes in the neighborhood for every Starbucks.
What if I told you I could increase margins all around?? What if I could make a lot more money selling used cars at $5,000 than you could selling new cars at $30,000??? Would you buy a franchise?? Less capital, less selling pressure, less cut throat price cutting? If you were in the car business would you be interested??
Ok, so this is idealistic but it's the big picture view if this guy can pull it off in a small way. That's the beauty. It's not like cellular or HDTV. You don't have to sell the whole country on the concept. It can work on a small scale. He figures he has several years in Phoenix before he will expand geographically. 8 car lots is his goal. If three can make .30eps, what can 8 do?? Bobwins
Don't leave your house without a parachute on!! Nwau has no net under it!! Imagine what would happen if we actually had financials!!! Wow! Bobwins
fickster0 It doesn't look like new shares but rather just registering already issued shares or options so the holders can now sell them if they choose. Boy,those last two guys got generous option packages. Becoming an officer and getting a million shares!!! With current prices, that's 5 million bucks! Are these guys that good?????
