Thanks DPP for the vote but my dam job keeps me busy haha!
DPP, it had been a good while since new stuff had come out until today! What has been moving on like crazy behind the scenes is the prosecution of existing applications, after many had sat idle for up to several years...similar to an embargo.
Good to see their R&D has expanded to other sites of their operations, since it shows movement away from the niche group in the US.
Wrong on the consistency....he has filings using the corporate Cupertino address as well.
Interesting to see LM-105 and LM 601 in comparison to two experimental alloys. Hey those little squares look like the shiny paper weights many have laughed about. :)
Not to be left out, the following published under Crucible today, man some interesting stuff!!

It had been s while but finally we see that Apple is at it still.....
It's interesting that waniuk is listed in lake forest still...odd for a recent application.

Funny how purcher doesn't believe in Liquidmetal anymore based on dialogue with him...however he publishes Liquidmetal stuff still!
So you are seeking redemption? Or just a pat on the back?
While Lugee is no Carlos Ghosn....there could be some similarities....
Agreed MM. this is a positive step. Envision Eon with magnesium and Liquidmetal with LM 105, quite a tandem. The one name that sticks out to me is Conformis, as their IP filings name Liquidmetal as a material of potential choice for their products. Just my two cents ....
These are some of the oldest applications that came with MTA. However, you never know with Apple. It does align more with what Lugee is doing with his Leader Biomedical enterprise. :)

Interesting what Lugee plans with CIP IP on similar process.

Lots of geniuses out there doing this....
You do realize that Prometaltech is a subsidiary of Wintop....
They do. Too bad the contact I know took it down from their page showing them promoting the Campfire pieces.

"In one form, each hinge element of each hinge joint is made from a continuous material such as metal or ceramic. For example, the hinge element may be made of a high tensile steel alloy or tungsten alloy or titanium alloy or an amorphous metal alloy such as "Liquidmetal" or "Vitreloy"."
Read claims 21 on bud. Big deal that "electronic device", "aluminum" and "overmolding" are used for this application change.
Anytime....claims 21 on peaked my interest heavily.
Filed by attorneys yesterday through USPTO for this CIP patent application. Read the changes and new claims. Enjoy.

overmolding a bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy on a preform of another material-tl=iaR the bull< solidifying amorphous alloy to form a bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy overmolded preform.
2. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim 1, wherein saia the another material is a metal or ceramic erystalline or amorphous and eomprises aluminum, stainless steel, sapper or beryllium.
3. (Withdrawn - Currently amended) The method of claim 1, wherein:
overmolding the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy comprises injecting the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy into a mold; and
the method further comprises eomprising placing the preform directly into [[a]] the mold prior to the injection of the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy into the mold.
4. (Cancelled)
5. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim [[4]] 1, wherein the bulk- solidifying amorphous alloy surrounds and bonds to at least a portion of the preform.
6. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim [[4]] 1, wherein a wall of the overmolded shell is thinner than the preform.
7. (Cancelled)
8. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim 1, further comprising placing the preform into a mold by way of a robot and when the mold is closed, the preform becomes clamped and immovable inside the mold.
9. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim 8, wherein the plaeing the preform in the mold keeps the preform remains in place during subsequent injection of the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy into the mold.
6
Attorney Docket No. P21719US1
10. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim 9, wherein upon completion of the injection, the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy overmolded preform is removed from the mold by the robot.
11. (Withdrawn - Currently Amended) The method of claim 10, wherein the bulk- solidifying amorphous alloy overmolded preform is in final near net shape form not post processed by machining equipment.
12. (Withdrawn) The method of claim 10, wherein the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy overmolded preform is post-processed by machining equipment.

15. (Currently Amended) An article comprising a preform: and
a bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy shell overmolded on the preform and secured to the preform by at least one of a mechanical bond or a chemical bond:
wherein the preform is formed from a material other than the bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy
an overmolded shell eomprising the bull< solidifying amorphous alloy on a preform of another material than the bull< solidifying amorphous alloy.
16. (Currently Amended) The article of claim 15, wherein the preform is formed from said another material is g crystalline or amorphous metal and eomprises aluminum, stainless steel, sapper or beryllium.
17. (Cancelled)
18. (Currently Amended) The article of claim 15, wherein the preform defines an undercut and the shell mechanically engages with the undercut the bull< solidifying amorphous alloy surrounds and bonds to the preform.

19. (Currently Amended) The article of claim 15, wherein a wall of the overmolded shell is thinner than the preform.
20. (Cancelled)
21. (New) A housing for an electronic device comprising:
a crystalline interior member defining an internal cavity configured to receive an internal component of the electronic device; and
a shell of a bulk-solidifying amorphous alloy affixed to the interior member and defining an exterior surface of the housing.
22. (New) The article of claim 21, wherein the interior member is formed of a metal.
23. (New) The article of claim 22, wherein the interior member is formed of aluminum.
24. (New) The article of claim 21, wherein:
the housing comprises a wall defined by the shell and the interior member; and
a thickness of a portion of the wall defined by the shell is less than a thickness of a portion of the wall defined by the interior member.
25. (New) The article of claim 24, wherein the portion of the wall has a thickness greater than about 0.5 mm and less than about 5 mm.

Yeah if third quarter comes around and Lugee is not delivering, then no one can anymore with this company.
Thanks for the backhanded compliment.....
Ask the people at Wintop or contact Prometaltech directly. Took me time and effort to reach out and research, so i encourage you to do the same.
MM, they've pretty much said hold off until 3rd quarter so not much to hear or see. So some folks don't want to hold that long. Barring any surprise updates wouldn't be surprised if we hover in this same area for months.
Similar die casting process as Eontec.

Well the last Q&A you post stated that they planned on approaching Apple by end of 2017. So have they prepped something to show Apple or have they not even created prototypes?
Yes...Thomas Leslie the man in your picture.....
Someone please tell BJ Watrous, Apple's Chief IP Counsel that Li is taking the intellectual property to HK. The same man whose signature is on the IP security release documents to CERTAIN IP for CIP back to CIP, so that it could be shared via license to Eontec. Hate when people dont research statements they make. Apple may never use the technology but the MTA gave them the duties of protector of the shared IP....of which they continue to do including prosecution. Which includes submissions to USPTO as late as last week.
Not saying I agree or disagree but when did Tom put up $64 million of his money?
Not sure I follow the reason why God is brought into this discussion about lqmt...smh
Maybe learn a lesson of humility ....,
I'll take the 4.6million !
