A tad of volume here today.
More volume today. And just like another time recently, there was also volume on MSTF, which like SMAS rarely trades.
Thanks very much for that information. It's quite encouraging!
It's gone by in a flash, hasn't it? ;0)
Somatics has sent out more e-mails.

Another trade. This time 2,999,996.
Somatics is starting a new three-year training course on July 23rd.

Are you thinking of the Mimi Walters connection?
Me too. Both stocks rarely trade.
Interesting. The exact same number of shares traded today on MSTF, another gray sheet stock, as traded here on SMAS. 2,999,997 shares.

Must be this post.
Veronica, I went to the Michael Anthony Shells board and found a list on the I-box intro page, but it has only 29 shells listed, and HESG isn't on the list.
Clinical Somatics starts its new online training course on Saturday.

Who knows with this one, Gooddolphin? The business is still active. Meanwhile the Nevada Secretary of State now lists Somatic Systems Inc. as in permanently revoked status on its webpage.
"! This fee calculation tool is applicable only to Active, Default or Revoked entities. This entity is in a Permanently Revoked status. Please contact our office at 775-684-5708 to calculate fees for this entity."
So apparently it can still be brought current with the payment of fees? Not that that seems likely. Meanwhile the stock remains on the grays but trades occasionally.
A string of trades today totaling almost 5 million shares. Back to .0001.
Somatics is now offering an online teaching course.

Not that I know of, Bones. Last time I e-mailed him, it was all roses, so to speak. I warned him about the danger of having the stock revoked, and he said that wasn't going to happen. Didn't say why. Personally I don't see the value of contacting him, but anyone is free to do so at any time if they think it will do any good.

More e-mail from Somatic Systems today about upcoming classes. It included this:
taught by Steven Aronstein
Steven Aronstein is founding Director and President of Somatic Systems Institute and the Somatics Professional Training Program. A leader and founding developer of modern Clinical Somatics, and in practice for three decades, Steven is one of the most most senior and longest practicing in the field, as well as the first person to develop and operate a Somatics training after Thomas Hanna's original class.
Steven discovered Somatics while disabled and suffering from debilitating fibromyalgia in his early twenties -- using Somatics to recover completely and resume a normal life and full functionality, healthier than before. (Read more about this…)
Steven has worked in K-6 education; and works with the High/Scope Foundation's Education Through Movement program. Steven has studied Aikido, Tai Chi, and Qigong, and pursued a professionally tutored study of holistic Japanese medicine. Another e-mail from Somatic Systems Institute. Text-only version below:
Dear xxxxxxxx,
We have a very limited number of slots available in our Senior Student Clinic...
While we offer free student clinics about twice per year, this is a special clinic for Senior practitioners-in-training,as they prepare to graduate. Our regular student clinics are already highly popular, and in this case, the students operate under close and direct full-time supervision of the entire training staff and faculty.
This is a rare opportunity that only comes around at the end of a program's 3 year training process.
In fact, because we've been training throughout the US for the past few years, this is the first time a Senior student clinic
has been held in the New England since 2011.
Please note that because of the nature of this clinic, unlike regular free Somatics clinics, there are only a handful of sessions available. We strongly recommend you reserve your session right away before they are all gone.

If you have wanted to try Clinical Somatics or have any chronic pain, postural issues, or discomfort you would like to try approaching in a different way, now is a great chance! This is also very helpful for dancers, athletes, or those engaged in other wellness practices to enhance those experiences.
You will receive a free one-on-one session, just like you would receive if you went to see a practitioner privately. The only difference is that the session is observed by a few classmates and instructors.
Private sessions in Clinical Somatics are a very efficient, effective way to achieve long-lasting, sustainable relief from pain, injury, stress, and other conditions, as well as to enhance overall health and wellness.
Even our regular Somatics Public Clinics tend to fill up very quickly, so please reply as soon as possible to make sure you get a slot.
We look forward to seeing you there!

And another e-mail from Somatic Systems Institute today:
Dear xxxxxxxxx,
We realize that even if people are really interested in learning more about Somatics (or even if they want to for their professional career), not everyone can take time off in the middle of the week to do so... Therefore, we are pleased to offer this one weekend session of this exciting and informative class — the only weekend schedule this year! And we are extending the great discount on the tuition cost one more day.
The Fundamentals of Clinical Somatic Education is a comprehensive introduction to the essential science, principles, methods, and philosophy of Clinical Somatics. The material in this course is comprised of some of the most valuable and exciting portions of the Clinical Somatic Education Professional training curriculum, presented in a short, manageable time-frame. The principles and practices of Somatics taught in this course will provide immediate and practical benefit to laypeople and professionals alike by providing professionals a solid foundation in somatic theory and practice that will augment their work, while also enhancing one's personal health practices, sports, activities, and wellness.
Whether or not you plan to continue on to full professional Somatic Clinical Educator training or Exercise Teacher training, this seminar provides must-have essentials for healthcare, movement, sports, dance, and education professionals of all kinds and will support work in the fields of psychology, development, stress relief, trauma recovery, wellness, education, and coaching.
Prospective attendees include...
•bodyworkers and movement professionals
•massage therapists
•physical therapists
•fitness & personal trainers
•medical professionals and others who work with patients experiencing injury or chronic pain
•people interested in or considering the Clinical Somatic Education Professional Training Program or the Somatic Exercise Teacher training program
•or anyone interested in Somatic health or using Somatic principles and methods to help others or themselves
We have been teaching this material to our professional training students for decades, and we never cease to be amazed by how much they benefit from just a few hours of information. The material is accessible and useful to wide and diverse audiences and needs: Our curriculum uses best educational practices so that bodyworkers or laypeople who have limited knowledge of medical physiology and neuroscience can learn these critical concepts easily. Massage therapists, body workers, yoga and movement teachers, and others have told us that the information quickly enhances their practices (and their own personal practices). In turn, those with advanced medical knowledge find that this framework is a newer and more efficacious approach for understanding the physiology and remedy for their patients' pain and chronic, intractable functional disorders. No matter how much people have read about Somatics, it takes time in a professional educational environment with the correct material to really clarify this critical knowledgeable to understand and apply it.
Either one or both of these days also serve as the ideal "test-drive" of our Clinical Somatic Educator professional training or Somatic Exercise Teacher training weekend course. If you are considering further course of study in Somatics, this should help you make a final decision. Additionally, the material in this course is a prerequisite for the Somatic Exercise Teacher training and for the Clinician professional training as well), so if you ultimately decide to enroll, you have already completed the majority of your preparatory requirements!
While rich with advanced neuromuscular topics, this course features material that is accessible for all audiences from experienced healthcare professionals to aspiring practitioners withou t a medical background, so you can understand this for yourself and clients. We'll focus on immediately usable information for both healthcare professionals working with patients in pain or injury or chronic illnesses of the musculoskeletal system; movement and training professionals working with athletes, movers, and dancers; or bodyworkers, massage therapists, physical therapists, and assistants working with the vast majority of their patients.
Here's some of what you'll learn in this course:
Fundamentals, Part 1< /h4>
•The neurophyisiology of motor control, learning, stress & trauma responses, chronic pain and musculoskeletal issues.
•The physiological mechanisms and process of Sensory Motor Amnesia — how it occurs in the body, how it directly or indirectly causes and maintains up to 90% of chronic pain & musculoskeletal disfunction, and how it impacts or contributes to other medical conditions.
•How Somatic disfunction such as sensory motor amnesia directly and indirecly causes many of the conditions and problems associated with aging, degenerative diseases, atrophy and decline of movement performance
•Variables and contributing factors to limitations and decline in athletic performance
•The most common stress reflexes in the body and detailed explanations of how each contributes to major musculoskeletal and medical disorders. The response of the body to trauma, emotional states, anxiety, depression fear, danger, abuse, and other and stress
•The "big 3 reflexes" of "green-light", "red-light", and trauma reflex — the most common and damaging responses in the body to daily living and stress. Detailed and practical examination of the associated conditions and damage, and the methods of reversing, repairing and preventing these issues.
•Identifying, understanding, and addressing these reflexes, posture and postural issues, and somatic distortions.
Fundamentals, Part 2
•The science and techniques of Clinical Somatic Education's proprietary treatment methods
•Clinical Somatics applications for aging and other public health crises
•Foundations of Somatic philosophy
•The differences between Clinical Somatic Education and other healthcare and movement education methods.
•The science and practice of pandiculation
•The techniques to comprehensively replace traditional stretching, eliminating injuries and rapidly improving flexibility, functional fitness, and injury prevention and recovery
•Foundational discussions of proprioception, proprioceptive disorders, and how these are addressed with Somatics
•Applications of Somatics to daily use of self, including the most common and most potentially damaging motor routines such as sitting, standing, walking, bearing weight, sleeping, etc.
•An overview of routines and approaches for life-long Somatic health.
Special Savings Offer
The discounted pricing for this seminar — $150 each day, or $250 for both days — is already a special value, but there's more:
If you also register for the Somatic Exercise Teacher Training course (next weekend course, April 2016), or have enrolled in or will be enrolling in the Clinical Somatic Education Professional Training Program (starts November 2016) — the price of the full Fundamentals course goes down from $250 to $200. That's 50% off the full price of $400!!

~Exciting opportunity…
Convenient & comprehensive 3-day course~
Dear xxxxxxx,
For years movement teachers have sought a way to give their movement students a way to obtain the revolutionary benefits of Somatics, but either didn't wish to operate a hands-on practice, or were not ready or available for full professional training in Somatics. Now, you can undergo complete training as a Somatic Exercise Teacher in a significantly shortened format.
Benefits to your students & clients
Even if your students do not need (or are not interested in) receiving Clinical Somatics sessions, the Clinical Somatic Exercise method you will learn is critical for...
•any movement student or any person as support for successfully doing other movement work such as yoga or martial arts;
•warmup, performance enhancement, and injury prevention for anyone who does any exercise, from walking or jogging to aggressive strength training;
•serious and professional athletes for warmup, performance enhancement, and injury prevention;
•sport coaches and dance teachers who want to optimize or expand warm-up and rehab work as well as learn to teach movement better;
•rehabilitation and recovery from injury;
•daily practice to reverse and prevent chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and repetitive stress relief;
•easy, effective stress relief;
•daily practice for meditation, relaxation, or internal arts;
•life-long fitness, youthful movement, vitality, wellness, and avoidance of much of the pain and decline of aging — for everyone;
•D.I.Y. reversal of and recovery from the daily and life-long aches and pains and injuries of everyday life — for everyone.
Benefits to you
While this training does not qualify you to work hands-on to utilize all of the techniques and produce all of the benefits described in Thomas Hanna's book Somatics, this program will provide you with the next highest level of expertise in this field. You will be thoroughly and authoritatively trained in the science and methods of Somatics as applied to the exercise & movement protocols, and will learn a series of exercises, sequences, and classes to teach and coach students. No matter what your previous movement or bodywork background, there is no way to properly deliver these sophisticated exercises and therapeutic interventions and provide their powerful benefits without this professional training or the complete Clinician professional training.
While this work can be a stand-alone system of movement training, this course will also greatly enhance any forms of movement, sports, dance, exercise, training, or rehabilitation that you may already be versed in.
This Somatic Exercise Teacher training program is perfect for...
•Existing movement teachers who wish to properly and fully deliver the benefits of Somatics to their students;
•Aspiring movement teachers (even if you are not already trained or certified in another movement teaching field) who wish to provide the ground-breaking flexibility, fitness, pain relief, athletic training, injury prevention, and injury rehabilitation benefits of Somatics;
•Individuals who can't yet afford full certification as a Clinician, but wish to work (and earn) in the field of Somatics right away;
•Employees of movement or fitness centers, chiropractic or physical therapy offices, or orthopedic and rehab facilities.
Training Credentials
Somatic Systems Institute first developed this program in 2008, as a response to the growing demand and need for greater access to the profound and powerful benefits of Clinical Somatics by the public and existing movement, fitness, and healthcare professionals — as well as by aspiring movement teachers. We have continued to fine-tune and innovate the course to make it more accessible and convenient to wider audiences and needs — while, most importantly, still maintaining and enhancing its integrity and fidelity to the principles, science, methods, and efficacy of the larger authentic field of Clinical Somatic Education we have pioneered, taught, and certified for two decades.
This course may be brief, but it is academically, clinically, and methodically substantive. We have employed our time-tested teaching approaches to not only produce teachers who are competent and "smart" about the work, but also well-grounded in the field and profession. The course's focus is not on simply teaching a few blindly executed routines (although trainees will in fact be provided with routines and turn-key protocols as well) — but on underlying skills, teaching strategies, and best practices, as well as on mastering the essential underlying principles of the work. This means becoming authoritative, thoughtful teachers who can apply these principles broadly to their larger personal and professional practices and methods, to other movement theories, and to the Somatic Exercise teaching itself — so even without additional training, you can start to construct your own solutions and lessons for your clients individually and in exercise, movement, and fitness classes you offer.
The same teaching approaches that provide depth also make advanced concepts accessible and meaningful to a wide array of audiences, backgrounds, credentials, and skill levels. Therefore, people outside of or new to the movement, fitness, or healthcare fields are encourage to apply. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
Test-drive the Somatic Exercise Teacher Training
We have another, convenient and informative opportunity coming up as well: We are offering our one- or two-day seminars, The Fundamentals of Clinical Somatic Education, September 17 & 18. If you are considering Somatics training but want more experience, are looking for a much shorter or more preliminary immersion in Clinical Somatics, simply want to benefit from Somatics in-depth regardless of further professional training, or have any questions about the program and want to connect or clarify in person... Then we can't recommend this class enough! We strongly encourage to join us, and we hope to see you there.
Plus, as an added bonus, these seminar satisfies your main prerequisite for the Somatic Exercise Teacher Training program.
