Thanks, jdf15, and welcome aboard the Flotilla! Glad to see new names coming around. Please make yourself comfortable and ask for help if you need it.
CGFIA
73772832, the FLOTILLA has over 1.2 billion shares owned by about 120 members of this board. I don't have the exact # in front of me, since I'm not home. I'll try and post exact numbers tomorrow!
jto, I'll check the numbers and make sure that I have the correct total.
Good Luck!
CGFIA
Sorry LT, that post was intended for Mike. This darn phone burps every now an then and the post goes to the wrong person.
Must be Steve Jobs' spirit having fun with my iPhone!
Mike, you have the estimate of "our shares" pretty close.
Now, for your question as to purchasing all the offered shares. If you did that I think you would have several marriage proposals, and some from this board, mine included. Like Harold Raimus' character in stripes said, "No, I'm not gay but I'm willing to learn!"
All joking aside, (well, almost all, most of you know I can't stop joking) the assets need to be developed. Like raw materials in any manufacturing process, they have to be made into something. The price of a half built Cadillac isn't what a new one would be.
So, are you really going to buy all the shares? I'm in Vegas, they have lots of "little white chapels" with Elvis as the preacher here!
CGFIA
Good purchase, Rudolf, I'll add the totals to the "flotilla's list. Good luck, we are all in this boat together!
Thanks, Rebel, I'll add it in ASAP!
GLTY!
Yes, AT6 Is a trainer. SuperT has the combat record. That's what makes this a tough one to call.
I think that the SuperT is the choice of the foreign (non-US for our overseas readers) govt.'s. And if the Florida manufacturing facility starts up, then the parts supply problem disappears, at least for the US. I don't know what parts availability is in other countries.
(now, I know a great deal of the parts on the SuperT are US built, but according to my "new friends", they are built to manufacturers specs and replacements can only be bought thru them. It is a common practice, not just SuperT's)
This is a real head scratcher!
GLTA!

I am patient. If it takes 2 years, I'll still be happy I made this investment. Besides, I will have a tax burden if I sell it too soon.
I don't mind paying taxes, I just don't want to leave money on the table, if I can help it. (when it comes to the tax man!)
PCFG is a keeper!
Chase, I consider myself a "future millionaire, but the PPS will have to hit $8 for me to do it with what I hold now!
Good observation, Mr Ferguson, call it as you see it.
GLTA, gold is piling up, and it's almost all ours! (IMHOptimisticOpinion)
Wow! I just altered my open order to the ask, and the order processed in micro-seconds! (Faster than a speeding bullet!) So, now I'm holding just short of 8 million shares. I think we are at the bottom. We may see small excursions to .0002, but it never stays there for more than a few minutes at most. Someone pulling the strings wants this to stay at .0003 or above.
I'm in up to my pockets now!
GLTA!
CGFIA!
Sometimes you just get lucky. (especially in Vegas!)
My impression was that the company in question was ONLY domestic. Overseas and foreign government contracts would still be up for grabs. I think that is a stronger possibility for TDAF. And let's face it, business, no matter where it comes from, is business. It IS a small planet, and TDAF does have a large transport plane to get staff and equipment anywhere in the world. And TDAF could shift gears and offer services on the AT6, if necessary.
Just, please, take this information for what it is worth. I can't bet the ranch on it, but I have no reason to doubt the voracity of it. It was unsolicited, and came from a neutral source, as far as the AT6 vs the SuperT competition.
The jury is still out. Strange things happen in a government evaluation processes. You just never know till it happens.
GLTA,
MTP
Thanks everyone. I wish I had gotten better info on the company name. I was impressed by these guys' conversation. The hotel is in Vegas, (where I live) and tracking them down would be nearly impossible)
OK, keeping in mind that this is "hearsay information" this is what I gathered. (you may not like it, so sit down.) The impression of these obviously mechanically oriented gentlemen was the AT6 had an edge on the SuperT. They felt the history of the AT6 in the military would be a big edge. Also, they felt that spare parts would be a major issue for the SuperT, unless a good distributorship system were established in the US. quoting one of them "getting spares out of Brazil is almost impossible at times. It can take months to get the needed parts."
They felt the "all aluminum construction" of the AT6 was an edge also. (you guys will have to verify that. I thought the SuperT was all aluminum, but I guess maybe not)
Their concern was composite materials or complex alloys.
They also said they would probably be bidding on (domestically) the same type of stuff TDAF does.
I want to post this, my phone burped and deleted my last attempt. I'll tell you more as I digest what I heard.
If you have a particular question(s) I'll be glad to give you my impression of the conversation.
This just proves the value of a good memory and visiting the company you invest in, particularly if you are putting in big bucks.
Thanks ficoce, I'd give you an extra shot of grog, but supplies are low and I don't want to be responsible for killing any of your brain cells. They are proving to be too valuable!
Keep digging guys, even the false alarms are helpful.
CGFIA
Yes, SugarCoat it sounded very similar to that, and the logo for the company was a red oval with the name in green letters. (it reminded me of a gas station logo)
My darn eyes aren't as good as they used to be, and I only got a couple seconds to look at it.
These guys seemed to do the same type of maintenance as TDAF, but were very familiar with both the AT-6 and the SuperT. They seemed to be feeling that the AT6 had an edge on the SuperT.
I can elaborate more, but I would like to verify the company they work for first.
Thanks for the help.
MTP
DeeDog, It can also help "Pay Off" some debt that is convertible to shares at a later date. (2013) Buy them now when they are cheaper, and use them to cover the conversion, that is guaranteed at a higher par value, later.
This company seems to have their act together. I think it is a great business move, not really intended to send a signal, but if it does, double benefit!
Damn, AK, you are the globetrotter, aren't you? Did you adjust to the thin air yet? I hear at that altitude it gives you a bitch of a headache!
Hope you are getting lots of pictures and soaking up the culture.
I, on the other hand am only 5 floors up in a Strip hotel helping the wife with conference hospitality crap, and the slots are calling my name downstairs! (moral and domestic dilemma, who do I listen to.....?)
Enjoy your trip but, do it carefully. You wouldn't to get filthy rich and not be able to spend it on frivolous stuff, would you?
johndeere4, I'll try and remember that when we celebrate! But, right now it's the squeezings and dregs at the bottom of the barrel for us. Now, if CGFIA drops a zero, then we can get the quartermaster to buy a better quality makings for the Grog! Two zeroes and you can all meet me in Vegas and well party like it's 1999! (that would take 11+ years off all our ages and I wouldn't mind that, rich and APROACHING middle age!)
And from Vegas we could have a road trip to Silverton to collect some "samples"
We will do well, JD. I feel it in my old bones!
CGFIA
ros113, There are still many people who believe in this company. Glad to count you as one of them.
This is the time for the true believers to make a buck or two, with the share price presenting a bargain opportunity! Priced too good to pass up. JMHO,
CGFIA!
Bruder, yes, a big loss for the world. Mr Dale posted a link a short time ago. Most people don't realize how much Steve Jobs touched our lives. I'm posting from one of his inventions.
Although not really on topic, I agree with your sentiments. May Steve rest peacefully and his family know comfort in their time of grief!
More mining claims purchased, (totaling 4 mines,) and a mill in the process of being reopened. But as far as "printing more shares", I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and just say you don't know what you are talking about!
Please do a bit of DD, or post some evidence of your claim, otherwise it is "Just Your Opinion", and it will save us all a lot of time.
GLTY!
It would be another good step forward. The article is as you posted, but don't bother with the YouTube link on the picture, it just was a recording of "The 1812 Overture". (or my phone is broken)
Progress may be slower than we like, but I'm sure it feels like forever to Mr Guyer.
Good catch, ros123! Thanks for the link.
CGFIA
I have a question for the aviation buffs out there. Do any of you recognize the name "Hertsfield" or "Hartsfeld" or a name similar to that? It would be for an aviation service/repair company.
The reason I ask is while standing in a hotel check- in line, I overheard a conversation between two gentlemen who worked for the aviation maintenance company. They were discussing the AT-6 and the Super T. Since I was eavesdropping, I didn't get every word. What I did hear is the fight is still on between the two planes and no one seems to know which way the US military's decision will go. I tried to get a look at a business card, but only got a quick glimpse.
Does this name, (realizing I most probably did not spell it right) look familiar?
You never know where you may pick up information. I don't want to start any false rumors or reports before I confirm who & what that company is. A Internet search has not helped, so far.
TIA, GLTYA. GO TADF/TacAir!
I went to Al Capone's vault and all I found was Geraldo Rivera!
(still trying to get you for that "pounding" comment yesterday, RKY!, how did I do? Ok, yours was a better joke!)
Keep the faith guys! Smoke 'em if you got 'em! So let's get the MM's by the short hairs and smoke 'em!
(where did you think I was going with that! )
CGFIA
I have bought at the ask every purchase so far. I bought 1.75 million at ask last week. I thought I would try and get any 'crumbs' left at whatever I could. If I don't, no biggie, I'll gladly pay the extra $66 bucks!
Do you think the blue color of the bills makes a difference? Should I try orange in celebration of Halloween?
CGFIA
I'm trying, they don't seem to like my money! (maybe because I printed it in blue this time?)
When it dips to .0002, it bounces right back to 3 within seconds. I like that. I guess I'll have to dig deeper into my piggy bank for the extra cash. (I don't bottom fish, but I had to Cover My A$$, just in case.)
GLTA,
CGFIA
I seem to remember a post not so long ago where it was said that the mining stocks lagged behind the bullion by 2-3 months. Believe it may have been Robo. (I hate it when he is right, but I think he may have a clever brain under that aluminum foil hat! He just wants to keep us guessing.)
I can't exactly verify it, but there may be something to that thought. I wouldn't be surprised if the lag runs 3 to 4 months, given the instability of the big board and the world/national economy!
PCFG has it's own timetable, and if the lag vs. bullion is true, we may see a double bump coming at us! (production reports, + lag)
I just can't help seeing the positive side of this company.
Holding strong and toasting the marshmallows!
PCFG
Very familiar with the show! The original with Zero Mostel & Gene Wilder was better than Nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick, IMHO!
So, if they did pull a "Producer's" (and I'm NOT SAYING THEY DID!!) would that be the ultimate 'naked short'?
Just curious.
GLTA, TADF
I walked into that one, RKY! That was too good of a straight line for a funny guy like you to let pass! You get an extra shot of rum in your Grog for "maintaining your sense of humor under adverse circumstances"!
Keep smiling, if you still are!
CGFIA
Ok, nerves are getting really raw and people are really twisted. I'm not sure if I should cut off the supply of Grog, or give everyone a triple ration!
I can't blame any of you. I bought most of my shares at 0007 to 0009., and I'm ready to start beating my head against a wall, but that would only damage the wall, and guarantee a migraine for me!
I still believe CGFIA is going to pull this off. What is that old saying, "In for a penny, in for a pound!" Well, I have adopted that attitude here.
GRIZZ, my friend, I really feel for you. This company wouldn't be where it is without your support in the early days. I have to believe (because I believe in man's better nature in general) that Mr Guyer has good reason for his near silence. But you have to be the judge of that, since you know more about him than most of us. (if only by being in CGFIA for so long)
I am a gambler by nature. Maybe I have lived in Vegas way to long for my own good. But, I stand a better chance of winning big with CGFIA than I do in the casinos. So, I'm in this to win. (It may be on the turn of the last card, and that will be very exciting. And yes it would be a "Hail Mary" payoff if it were the last card.)
Everyone, I ask you to just take a real deep breath, count to 10, and then think before you act. Don't "react".
Let's leave the PPS out of the equation for a second, and ask yourself what in CGFIA has changed. We may have been delayed till next year for the C&D order removal. That is about all I can see negative about the present situation. Everything else remains the same as when I bought my first share, with the following exceptions; we have moved oh so close to DRMS mill approval. Now, reenter the PPS, and if you are a flipper, then my viewpoint makes no sense. If you are a long, then the PPS makes no difference. You are looking at the long term PPS to be good or great. That's what matters to a long investor.
If you sell now, you guarantee a loss. If you stick with it, you have a chance to get a better deal. You each have to be your own judge.
This is just my opinion, and the way I am going to play it for now.
The up side is still way too good for me to quit now.
GLTYA, no matter what you do!
And, I won't cut off the GROG supply, I think that would incite a mutiny!
"NOTE: I just keep thinking of The Producers when I'm thinking of TADF". LOL,
"Springtime for Hitler"! very funny Cardinal Grammeter, I would be laughing harder if it weren't for the PPS right now!
Keep them laughing, we certainly need the humor to break the tension!
GLTA!
Thanks, DeeDog! Sorry if I came across as belligerent or smug, was not my intention. I just wanted to let everyone know that this was not a complex question.
And yes, it was late, way beyond brain function time
My apologies and good wishes!
PCFG!
O/S will be reduced (because the stock is no longer 'outstanding', the company now has them). The A/S will stay the same, unless voted to be raised or lowered by the company.
That's just basic accounting.
It is a great move by the company!
GLTA
PCFG!
No, probably was the roaches, or the fleas, or the smell?
Seriously, I think everyone is just waiting for the numbers to come out.
(You can't think very well when you are holding your breath!)
My 8 ball says "decidedly so!"
I don't remember. I think CGFIA expects there to be more in the mines than old estimates indicated. I seem to remember that from my late night reading.
Ficoce or dlc7509 will know better than I.
I have heard of some similar practices. Trouble is, until they are done with the mine, you need a place to park the tailings. Hopefully that will be decades away! Keep digging that gold!
How was your "fresh air breakfast"?
Glad I could help. Hope some of the other posts gave you some idea of what and why things are going on at CGFIA.
Good Luck!
They are proposing to use a site 6 miles from the mill for dry stacking.
No milling has been done using dry stacking method at POW. The mill hasn't run since the cease and desist order (in 2005?)
And as far as the tailings (leftover dirt) returning to the mine it came from, I believe it will be in the case of open pit mines. But not right away. They will need a place to "park" the tailings for some time. That could be years.
The tailings from a shaft type mine will not be returned. It just can't be done.
Hope that answers a few questions!
Not all of them have to be done in order. Lab should be the longest wait. Aerial photos may be done already. Design plan should be nothing more than a certification that the area is ok to use. (Possibly some bulldozing or just a little grading.) Nothing to really build. I don't think a contract is correct. CGFIA then needs to submit the final plan to the DRMS. The cease and desist order could be removed, but production can't start without the dry stacking approval.
The stock price will rise on mill approval. Even without production starting, the value of the company goes up with the "asset" of the approved mill.
IMHO
CGFIA
Not yet! And just think, I type with one finger! I should be good for a few more hours.
The wife is out, so I have no one to argue....., uh, talk to! Just me, marshmallow, and grog!
