locust, first of all more drilling will of course help the supply demand equation. How can it not. The only other alternative is to get people to drive less or drive smaller cars and we know how that is working out. The oil companies should be able to drill just about anywhere, but NO, the whiners in California and Florida who complain about the high prices can't allow drilling in their backyard even though here in Texas we have drilling rigs and refineries everywhere and we are no worse for wear than before. Governor Perry said that Texas could even accomadate more drilling (of course much of the state's revenue is from oil).
Deep Down's share price does not move in lock step with the oil sector. The price of oil does not seem to affect it at all. Which I believe is a good thing, let the share price climb on the companies own results, not those of oil or the economy in general.
cfeist, I added to my position today also. I say buy 'em while they are cheap! I will keep averaging down as funds allow.
The poison pill news today does not surprise me as management has mentioned that they are building a company to run it and not sell it. I wouldn't be surprised if another company has shown interest in buying them.
Got my T-shirt and thumb drive today!
Rhino, I was wondering the same thing. We have not heard anything from Mako or Electrowave in a long time. You would think that if any new contracts were signed that a PR would be issued about it so I have to assume that there are no new development at either subsidiary.
On the bright side it appears that we have a winner in Flotation Technologies as evidenced by the $23.5 million dollars in recent orders.
mustang, if ECCI is not a hurricane play then why did the volume surge to 11,812,396 on the day that several interesting waves are rolling off of Africa heading toward the Gulf? Whether you like it or not this IS still a hurricane play to many. I have learned in many years of stock trading that investor sentiment trumps facts every time. Go with the flow and you will make money.
Oh, by the way, the machines do work, I just don't think that our fearless leader is a good salesman which is why he brought in the new guy.
brikk, I know that you have been touting the large institutional ownership of DPDW for a long time now but I always thought that you were jumping the gun. I believe that the retail investors controlled the float right up until the PP news on Thursday. The big money is taking notice and our portion of the float will become smaller and smaller.
The other shoe to drop will be the uplisting to AMEX which IMO will happen soon. But this is probably just an interim step as their real goal is to be on the Big Board where the big fish swim, as evidenced by DR's other clients. The future here is getting brighter every day which is why I have increased my position this week to an insanely high percentage of my total portfolio.
printmail is more like a turd in the toilet....LOL
lazyeye, Numarket is doing more for Baderra and his other clients than you could ever hope to do. The risks for small undercapitalized companies are great and many do not survive, at least Numarket is attempting to help them while taking little compensation in return. Let's see how it plays out, I am willing to give it some time.
nostinkinc, from that chart it looks like maybe we have found the bottom (double bottom) which is a very bullish technical indicator. Good times ahead? We shall see.
Argonath, good post! I am sick and tired of the whiners on this board blaming everyone else because their hot pick is going south. It's a crap shoot on the pinks with few winners.
Waverider, the way I see it is they need to build a stationary unit with the customer's help with the housing and infrastructure in order to prove that it works. If the customer is then convinced that it works to their satisfaction then we should see a contract.
Let's all hope and pray that it does work and then there could be multiple contracts as Devon is not the only company drilling in Barnett Shale.
nostinkinc, you've figured out how pinkie companies work except that they usually lose a lot more than we do. Good for you, now if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen! Investing here is not for the faint of heart, some just can't take it.
Not to worry everyone, when they are done selling the shares into the float we will go back up. The CEO is just trying to keep the machines up and running to produce revenue. This company does not have enough flash to attract Venture capitalists so he had to sell shares.
"I don't see how this stocks goes up unless a roof gets ripped off and needs fixing. Can somebody explain this to me?"
What we are doing is anticipating hundreds of roofs getting ripped off during a hurricane. If that happens then IMO all of the pure hurricane plays will go up.
locust, the P/E is not assigned to a company based on what they deserve, it is based on the perception of investor's as to what they think that a company is worth. If you look at the trailing twelve months (TTM) then you will get a P/E of 100, but since the 2008 earnings are projected at .07 the P/E shrinks to around 15 which is about right for Exxon but not Deep Down's fast growth. I would say multiply that by 3 or 4 to get what I think our value will be at the end of the year. What that means is that we are undervalued by a factor of 3 or 4 times which is why the share price is rising every day.
Joev2,
You said "worth 28.75 million in shares" referring to the CEO and his wife receiving restricted shares for their preferreds. I personally don't have a problem with it and remember by the time the shares are unrestricted they will probably be worth a lot more. It is their blood and sweat that is building the company, they deserve a rich reward if it succeeds the way most of us here think that it will. The founders of Google are billionaires.
I was wondering the same thing, NSMG usually leads the pack but not this year. Nothing has changed. I still think that NSMG is the #1 pure hurricane play out there. WEGI is starting to stir after having been dormant for so long. Our time is almost here...hang on.
In Houston, summer has started early, we are having very hot, humid weather. I think that we are in for a hot summer.
Watch and learn, you showed up the same day that news came out. Coincidence, I think not. Up we go.
I hate to burst your bubble newbie, but the presence of bashers is usually a sign of good things to come. Bederra is ready to rock 'n roll. Strong niche market in a huge city. If they pull it off we will be happy campers. The business plan execution trumps the share count. As the business grows the OS SHOULD grow, that is how it is done.
"GFS Model picking up some tropical development in the eastern GOM next Tuesday"
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!
Thanks for the info earl, now if they can just get the financials posted to pinksheets this week we will be in high cotton.
Earl, you say that you have been there (BDRR location in Houston). Can you tell us what you found out or if you have already posted your findings then point me to a previous post.
Did you speak to the CEO or just visit the office to verify that it is a valid business?
tothe, what do you want to know about the company? I could drive by the address that is given for the company which also appears to be the address for Diagnos PET/CT Imaging. But I am not the snooping type so I will not go in and ask silly questions and pretend to be a customer. If I was a larger shareholder and had the time I would ask for a private meeting with IR or the CEO.

PokerVertigo,
Yes It was a look at the bigger picture. I just wanted everyone here to realize what a vast medical complex the Medical Center is. The opportunities are almost endless. They seem to be expanding hospitals all of the time here.
The medical center in Houston is the largest in the world. Patients come from all over for treatment there and many of them need CAT scans and MRIs so BDRR is in a good market niche of the medical sector.
Onward and upward.
All of the hurricane pureplays (NSMG, WEGI, ECCI, etc) should start heating up about now. One week to go until the season starts.
GLTA
"I personally am just watching currently because there is not enough momo or buying pressure currently to eat up this dilution and without any sizeable momo or buying pressure because of canes in the coming weeks i imagine it will slowly drop half a cent or so bi weekly."
That is a dangerous strategy IMO to wait. When NSMG pops it goes up fast and you will be chasing it. Jst look back at the last 3 years worth of charts. It has been basing here at .05 for quite some time and I don't see it going any lower. With the action of the market this week I feel safer with my money parked here than anywhere else.
Are we expecting these financials to include the 1st qtr 10Q or just the 10K from 2007?
Hey, buys are buys no matter how small. The ask has upticked to .012.
Interest picking up in BDRR. Many new faces on this board and the membermarks are now over 200. The MM's can't keep this down much longer, I smell breakout very soon. The low floaters move very quickly as evidenced by the 29% rise yesterday on less than 2.5m shares.
Low float, profitable, medical imaging. The stop sign on pinksheets.com coming off soon!
Hurricane season is only 2 weeks away!
I am locked and loaded and waiting for the action to start.
NSMG is one that always goes up. Things are slow this year so far because many people are going to wait for the storms to appear before deciding whether to get in.
Any thoughts?
Yes, someone was selling millions of shares today and driving the price down, whether it was the company diluting the float or just a retail investor like me getting impatient and selling out. The share price should bounce back though in short order. It always does. We will trade in this range until positive news comes out or a major hurricane strikes.
NSMG removed from the naked short list today.

"WHY NOT PLUNK YOUR BETS HERE WHERE U KNOW YOU ARE GETTING IN 1x EARNINGS!?!?!?"
I agree, value is where it is going to be. I would rather invest in a profitable small cap and wait for better days on the share price. Value never goes out of style.
I took a small starter position today.
The patient will be rewarded.
So you're the one that bought today!
We need more investors than that to get this value play to go. Low volume in the markets these days. The value plays such as DPDW will prosper in time but I believe that a lot of money has left the equity markets and moved into cash and treasuries. But they will come back, they always do.
Good article in Fortune about the Barnett shale natural gas field in Ft. Worth. Let's hope that we get a contract soon with Chesapeake or one of the other big companies drilling in this area.

"A lot of action at the close today."
tk, yeah I hope's it is because some major news is about to hit the wire. Keep your fingers and toes crossed and pray to your favorite God and just maybe we can make it go up.
Volume picking up!
744,712 share traded today.
Maybe today is the day that we start to run.
Banks, yeah oil keeps going up but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the share price here. We are flatlining here just waiting on news of which there should be plenty more very soon. The 10Q should be here by next week, maybe more news from the OTC, word on where all those anodes are going.
Okay let's get this show on the road!
Now...........POS...piece of s$%^
Soon..........POC...piece of crap
near future...POA...piece of art
remote future.POF...piece of a fortune!
