I agree that 4 million share per year compensation is not unrealistic (given the price of the stock over that period), but according to BJW, LB has not sold any shares (of the 23-27 million). So am I led to beleive that he got paid nothing for all that time he put in? (Excepting for the amounts he owed hasher and others which Im sure went into his pocket instead).
The worse news has been the falling stock price. It leads to larger dilution. Im sure there would be less objection to LB's shares, even if the majority had been issued at $1+ each, if PTI's stock price was above that value now. If you retain a CEO for $150,000 per year (paid in shares) and your stock price is $5 then you only issue 30,000 share per year. If your stock price is 10 cents, you have to issue 1.5 million per year. I think the biggest objection to LB's missuse of this company is that even now that he is gone, we are left to live with his diluted legacy. Much harder to build a company with 130 million O/S that it is with 20 million O/S.
I liked the part where it says 'Mr Balak has never sold a single share of his common stock of the company.' All those who beleive that say 'I'. Funny, I dont hear anything!
Oh so now he's hyping the price to 30 cents. Last fall I was constantly argued against when I said they could easily pump this to 10 cents, or even $1. The stock price has shown ample support at the 9-10 cent range considering the simple fluff PR's that we have seen. Walter's committment was to see PTI to production and sales by end of 2005. It seems like a long haul to wait 1 more year for those of us who have been in for the past 5+ years. Unfortunatly the upfront R&D is the most boring and unproductive time for the stock price. How many companies can you say have made a 300% increase in stock price (and are still holding that price) in the last 6 months? PTI has done well so far, the best is yet to come. Arguing about daily or weekly price swings is not productive and certainly not prudent when thinking about the long term of any company. Back in the fall it was often said that management would be happy to dump at 3-5 cents. You are at least correct in saying that they would be even happier to dump at 30 cents. But imagine how happy they will be to dump at even higher prices. If BJW is nothing more than an LB lite then PTI will never be a huge success. But I think BJW has an even better plan even if it was just to convince LB to let him take over and pump the stock price as high as he can before the year end. We all seem to have forgotten that management's shares are locked up for this year. I wouldnt be the least surprised to see the biggest runups in share price occurr just before those shares are released again, and the higher the solid bottom, the better odds for them to be able to sell off those shares. Remember, were talking about doubling the float when those shares are released. How much support do you think the stock price can withstand if PTI is still just a fluffy promo company? And if they happen to make the company a solid success in the meantime, better for the rest of us.
I guess we will know in 4-6 weeks if there actually is a battery. Nice to hear it is a respected company, less chance of it being another scam done thru one of LB's friends.
Thanks hasher
Im in at 1.45 last week, still good things to come. Check latest news.
This is good news however we will need specifics of the share swap to know just how equitable it will be.
Empyrean Holdings, Inc. Confirms Acquisition of Tradewinds International Corp. Completed Late Yesterday

Empyrean Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:EPYH) is pleased to confirm that the agreements for the acquisition of Tradewinds International Corp. through a stock swap were signed after market closing yesterday, April 11, 2005. Tradewinds is now a wholly-owned subsidiary and management has started formulating the new Business Plan for moving the corporation forward.
President and CEO Robert Lee added, "Tradewinds is in the process of activating its plan to function as an active subsidiary of the corporation that will continue to pursue investment opportunities in the real estate sector. The possibilities for venturing into real property construction are also being reviewed."
Appreciated.
Agreed, there are definitly more golf carts that subs too eh:)
Fair comment. I wonder though if they are interested in testing a prototype for their specific purposes? Companies who are not necessarily in that specific business still do have the facility and capability to test for their own use. At the very least word is getting around and any positive press is good right now.
And where does it say they have to move back to Vancouver?
Didnt take you long to shoot that one down eh? I guess you can find fault in any PR if you look hard enough.
Looks like another positive step. Or just promotion? I'll take it for now which ever it is. Caused all the MM's to refresh their quotes, and some moved them up.
This month should be very interesting as far as news is concerned. Developments should be fast and furious if they are to take advantage of TVA.
Now thar's and idea! A promo stating the fact that LB is no longer in control might just get a few fishes interested. Of course that has been made public already - although that's not to say that the right people have actually read about it (if someone in a company pisses me off enough to sever ties with them, the last thing I do is keep tabs on them). If all the talk about how bad he really was and how many people he pissed off is true it should be an easy sell to some of the former prospects.
How would you fair in a 1 for 200 consolidation of shares? It does look like their building a solid company, but in the end there's 2.1 billion shares, and thats way too many for anyone to take them seriously.
Thanks Jerry
I wasnt totally sure, I havent been following this one that long.
Still say the poster is just spoofing. I cant imagine anyone in that position bothering to post on a chat site, for various reasons (unless its the drunken good for nothin bum of a CEO over on the PWTC board who just bothered to show up and poke fun at all the losing investors. But he'll get his).
You are quite correct gunner. Am I correct in noting that investus showed up on April 1? Coincidence? Someone is spoofing.
Just read the rest of the posts. My market experience is 16 years and IMO I would call the posted info insider info. JMO
On the other hand, this is the pink sheets, since when do any of them play by the rules?
? Dont see any new trades indicating a trend?
Never sorry I asked. Always happy to hear anothers opinion. I think Mr Walter can give it a run anyway, the market will decide the rest.
Arent you worried about GTEL's 1 billion+ O/S?
LOL, you could be right about that. Traded themselves into a corner? I think too that they are somewhat scared. 'The waiting is the hardest part' Mr Petty says. I get the feeling that theyre not sure how to handle this stock right now. If they short too much, and the good news is released, theyll get their a@@'s wiped in a hurry. How long do you wait for Mr Walter to prove he is legit, or not? That is the question everyone is asking right now. Does he have the tools to send this stock into the stratosphere? Or will it end in another ruse? The MM's could trade themselves into a win either way. Problem is, right now no one has any clue which way it will be. (I think they should buy on speculation, theyre naked shorting on the way down anyway so whats the risk? And it would be good for the rest of us in the meantime).
Ok, Ive never seen that one before. Check the level 2 quotes. 3MM's willing to sell at 0.000? Must be a missprint.
Pink sheet market bid and ask are controlled by MM's. They set the prices and can dodge you order easily, especially on a thinly traded day. Ive had this happen many times myself, even when putting an order in at the ask. I questioned my brokerage firm and this is the reasoning they gave me. The MM's make more money by keeping the trades between themselves. Hard to believe there was no one willing to take your order. Try again, this stock is due for a pop, we are just awaiting news. Prepare yourself for the possibility of having to get out quickly as well.
Yup. Last promo I saw went .20 to $25.50 in 4 days with news items. I see all MM's have shored up their asks again today. Interesting gap between .211 and .51?
Good points by both of you. It has been too long without comment, but when it comes it needs to be substantial and honest.
However, it is now April. The promo should be starting anytime. This as well needs to be done promptly or some investors will lose interest, or make assumptions that the TVA hiring was just another PTI smokescreen.
Lets go Mr Walter, make it happen.
Now I know why youre so excited about this new battery.
Headline from fark.com:
Toshiba invents lithium-ion battery which charges to 80 percent of capacity in one minute. Lonely women everywhere rejoice
I see JEFF has changed his ask to .211 from .11? Hmm. Change again before morning?
Empyrean Holdings Inc. Confirms Completion of Acquisition of Tradewinds International Corp. Will Be On or Before April 12, 2005

Empyrean Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: EPYH) is pleased to confirm that the legal work needed to complete the acquisition of Tradewinds International Corp. is nearing completion. Both parties have agreed that the closing date should be scheduled for on or before April 12, 2005.
Tradewinds will become an active subsidiary of the corporation that will continue to pursue opportunities in the real estate business initially in the popular resort destinations in Florida. Presently two properties with excellent investment potential are being evaluated in Key West and Orlando.
It sounds good but I wonder if that will be much of an improvement. Most rechargeable batteries at present require a solid 100% charge to work 'well'. EG. Power tool batteries with 'quick' chargers dont hold that charge as long as ones with chargers that take hours. Clarify - if your charger has the option of charging the battery in 8 hours, or a quick charge of 1 hour, you will find that if you use the 8 hour charge the battery will take longer to run out with use.
That has been my experience. Also note, I work in the construction industry and have had comments from contractors as to which rechargeable tools they like the best. They almost always go with/recommend the long, slow chargers and buy several batteries so they can continue to work while the charging is happening.
Just what Ive heard.
These guys have been making promises twice as long as PTI.

Now thats worthwhile money. Continues to make me wonder why they'd bother to nickel and dime PTI.
That is news to me!
OT, have you seen peggy's latest pump on RB NVEC. He says its going to $100! Fails to mention it was once $175! Same old, same old. All depends on where you got in.
I know in Canada you are not allowed to short holding from a retirement account.
Lets not all forget the big picture. Some of the latest posts are getting down on themselves because they didnt recognise something they could not possibly have known. Or predicted a move or a PR. Those are all day items and in the small picture.
Assuming we are all small time personal investors here, we are at the mercy of just about everything that can go wrong in the market - and the positive things as well.
No one could possibly have known that the listings on foreign exchanges were for covert reasons, just the same as none of us know whether Sentry is really for real, is actually testing a battery, what the MM's are up to in their positioning, or when the next news item will come out. We just have to take it as it comes and make the best of the situation then.
What we do know is the the stock is showing signs of life again (the same way it did before the last run)and BJW has hinted that news is forthcoming. Might happen, might not. Might be tomorrow, maybe next week. We also know the promo is supposed to start with earnest in April. Is it coming or will it be another dud?
So just hold on tight, some sorta ride is a comin'.
Nice job logman. Im sure we'd all love to see the shorts get caught with a huge price increase. Double our fun.
I read this on a poster from RB, thought it would apply nicely to us here.
"Naked Shorts don’t kill good companies, good companies kill naked shorts"
-- Mark Cuban, Owner Dallas Mavericks
Trades few and far between now. Waiting?
Have you noticed how quiet he gets on RB when the stock price is moving up? (and quick to jump on it when it goes down).
Yep, agreed. I was just funnin about Sentry. Got cachet all riled up though. As previously reported, no one should be buying on anything that is posted on a board.
I agree with your previous post, this is how the last rally began. And common for a promo. Wind up the friends and family, the rest of the market jumps into the upswing, news comes out and SELL. I think we will see this happen many more times this year.
There are 2 types of promos.
1. To create a money making upswing for a garbage company - in the end the bottom completely falls out.
2. To create a more stable share price foundation for an up and coming company to stand on. Opens up more financing and listing options. In the end, if it works the company ends up with a share price in the $5 range.
They both can look the same in the begining.
My belief is that PTI is trying to create the latter by running a promo and coming out with a product to support the promo. The price will really start to move when PR's with substance are finally issued.
Well, since it seems that they are less than 1 year old, Im guessing they may not even have any sales.
But, to break my own golden rule I will repeat once again. I am willing to give PTI a chance for this year. Since neither of us know anything about Sentry, we should not criticize until proven otherwise (who knows, maybe Sentry has connections elsewhere. Other than that, you take whatever you can get to get your product out to market). Sure I would like PTI to be testing with some major international battery conglomorate with 100 billion in existing sales, but this is what we have right now. If PTI was a major battery player with a $10 stock, I would expect that. But this is what you get with OTCBB. Maybe trainz should call PTI to get a battery and get APC on the case as well? That would be great.
Mr Walter has never said that we'd all be millionaires this year. He said he will take steps to get the battery into production and sales. He appears to be doing that.
Please save your speculations on whether a company is real, or good enough or whether this is all just for appearances sake, for when PTI declares bankruptcy (or at least until you have solid proof). Then you can gloat all you want. In the meantime, we've all heard those comments over and over already.
PS, I know of very few Fortune 500 companies that started at the top (if any). Everyone has to start somewhere. Call them yourself if you want more detail/assurances.
The green arrows are showing up again in the last hour. Lots of orders have jumped from the .09 range to the .13 range. Must be a reaction to Mr Andrews confirmation that Sentry is real? :)
PS Thanks for doing that Mr Andrew.
Buy now, still a bargain at any price under 1 cent.
Empyrean Holdings Inc. Reports Positive Progress for the Acquisition of Tradewinds International Corp.

Empyrean Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:EPYH) is pleased to confirm that all work needed to complete the acquisition of Tradewinds International Corp. is progressing well. With the 10KSB filing completed, management, working closely with legal counsel, is committed to completing this acquisition as soon as possible.
On completion of the acquisition, Tradewinds will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the corporation that will continue to actively pursue the real estate business initially in the top resort destinations in Florida.
Pickin on everyone would be more correct. I find it quite humorous how he goes on about how one person cant make a difference and yet posts as much as he does. Wonder what he thinks its gonna accomplish. Today he posted 'bites' of information that was previously posted on Ihub - but he conveniently left out some key info. He seems bent on sabotage in whatever form he can do it in. I wish I had that much time on my hands. Hafta wonder if anyone out there believes anything he says.
Thank you logman for your comment on RB. I was just about to suggest someone put that boy in his place again.
