Recession is still a couple of years off, but you believe whatever you want, dear.
Do you have any stats to back up your assertion or is it just more Biden Bad! stuff.
There hasn't been a recession since 1950 when certificates of deposit were paying on average less than 5% nationally (that's when they were introduced). Don't believe me, look it up, I'm not going to do the heavy lifting for you.
Whether it's causation or just correlation doesn't matter. It's more likely to happen when your wet dream of a new president takes office, than before 2024.
I have no ideas what the United States was trying to do, do you?
We disbanded their military and had everyone who was a member of the Ba'ath party fired from their jobs.
We stood by as museums were ransacked and priceless ancient artifacts stolen.
Even besides the amount of homelessness and death we caused, we left the country totally effed and ripe for violent Islamic fundamentalism to gain a foothold.
I've just downloaded her book and will hopefully get to it soon.
Oh stop, read something for goodness sakes. Unemployment hasn't been this low in ages and Biden has already added more jobs than Dear Leader did in 4 years.
sorry to burst your bubble:

Here, maybe this will take your mind off the crap you've been reading:
https://agentura.ru/investigations/
After the Berlin wall fell, in 1989, there was a lot of concern in the West that NATO expansion would upset and might provoke Russia.
https://theconversation.com/ukraine-war-follows-decades-of-warnings-that-nato-expansion-into-eastern-europe-could-provoke-russia-177999

That feeling, any sympathy for Putin's predicament, sort of dissipated when Russia brutalized Chechnya in 1994, much the same way they're doing now in Ukraine
https://www.npr.org/2022/03/12/1085861999/russias-wars-in-chechnya-offer-a-grim-warning-of-what-could-be-in-ukraine
Not trying to be glib or defend Putin even a little, but I still don't quite understand how this barbarous military incursion is different than our invasion of Iraq. At least Ukraine is, more or less, within Russia's sphere of influence, whereas Iraq was all about oil, I guess, not sure anyone really knows what it was about.
Ok, whatever. Clearly you've gone down some Q hole or something. Someone who thinks Biden is senile must have thought Trump was a drooling mess, far gone with dementia (like his Dad).
Can't argue with an irrational argument, so you just go ahead and mock Kamala (first name for a woman, right?) but the others are off the hook.
Where are your links about Cheney? At least Harris hasn't shot anyone in the face. Or is the architect of war crimes. But I suppose giggling is far worse, amirite? If only Sarah was VP.
Clearly, reading isn't your thing, but maybe someone you know can read this and explain it to you:
https://www.ineteconomics.org/perspectives/blog/meet-the-economist-behind-the-one-percents-stealth-takeover-of-america
Oh, wait, I'll check to see if Breitbart has a comic book version.
Ok, fair enough, point taken. He sucker punched another person, and that's a crime, whereas beating the heck out of someone in a boxing match is not.
That's who he is. If he wanted to be a better person, he'd be one, he's a full grown man. People at his age tend not to have one-off violent temper tantrums, he's just a pampered rich Hollywood brat. There's really nothing to say otherwise, except for damage control.
Obviously there is a great public acceptance of physically violent acts or activities like football and boxing wouldn't exist.
Good. Might get a decent discussion some day, somewhere, about how society too highly esteems well paid entertainers and athletes.
The less I hear about this kind of stuff, any celebrity gossip, really, the better.
We'll see how he likes it when states start trying to repeal Loving vs. Virginia.
Big effing deal, seriously? Unlike Quayle, though, I bet she can spell.
Or time to provide any links for any of your assertions on any topic, I gather.
Just never forget this about Pence:
https://www.vox.com/2016/7/14/12190380/mike-pence-trump-vice-president-abortion-funerals-fetuses
He wouldn't have even come close to being re-elected in Indiana.
https://www.politico.com/story/2016/07/trump-mike-pence-vice-president-225387
WTF? So you can't give examples of how she's embarrassing? Just more sad attempts at humor?
Question: when high school is no longer remote in your area, will you be posting here less often?
Really? What did Pence and Quayle do that Harris isn't doing? Besides being white.
Of course color and gender has everything to do with it. You mock her name and her job based on nothing else.
How, exactly, is she embarrassing the US?
A bad job compared to Pence, Quayle, Agnew? Or you mean that the black woman isn't up to a task that idiotic white men have traditionally done poorly?
Other than some high school level attempt at making a "joke" about her name, what exactly you got?
Can't we just ignore this story, please?
It's like we have some sort of auto-voter suppression going on. We're already doing a fine job of not voting, no need for various states to try to make it more difficult.
A lot of people must have really given up on this system. They don't see it as worthwhile to make even a slight effort to vote, that there's no difference between politicians. Ergo: Trump
Here's a funny thing about Trump I just ran across. It's from a recent Trudeau cartoon, but I can't find it to provide a link.
The basic point is that the Constitution prevents anyone from being elected President more than twice. So for him to run in 2024, he's going to have to admit he lost in 2020.
Interesting. At first glance, he's definitely not a "brevity is the soul of wit" guy. Not sure I have the patience anymore for long slogs like these, my loss, I'm sure he's interesting and I'm missing out.
Weirdly, the most recent post in his "readers links" section is from 2011, unless I'm missing something.
Hah! Jim Wright, the former Speaker of the House?
They're untouchable because they realize the nature of off year, mid term elections.
https://www.fairvote.org/voter_turnout#voter_turnout_101
It's all about motivating their base to get out the vote. And the base for these elections is most likely older people, who are frequently more conservative
https://money.usnews.com/money/retirement/aging/articles/why-older-citizens-are-more-likely-to-vote
And less likely to embrace change
https://www.zdnet.com/article/why-is-change-so-hard-for-some-people-especially-older-ones/
And Americans seem to be the most fearful people on the planet, to begin with, so, MAGA
Interesting, thanks, does seem like he can afford it.
The man flew 88 bombing missions over North Vietnam. I forget, N. Vietnam attacked America, when?
Why is he not considered a war criminal - why is he celebrated as some sort of hero? What about all of the dead Vietnamese civilian non-combatants he killed?
It's cool to repeatedly bomb a small, basically powerless, country in Asia that posed no threat to America? And did nothing (Gulf of Tonkin hoax notwithstanding), to deserve being attacked? Accomplished killers get medals for this?
The Nuremberg trials pretty conclusively rejected the defense of following orders as a legitimate defense for killing civilians.
Yeah, they have a paywall, but I just received an offer to subscribe for a year for $10, for both print and digital. Definitely a great publication with access to digital library, by subscription.
But who's paying them? What name is on the paycheck they get?
Are they getting paid directly by some governments or through a third party like Blackwater / Xe?
Ukraine has the cash to pay $3K per person per day?
"The first casualty, when war comes, is truth"
Who's footing the bill for these $3K per day guys?
Yeah, no thanks, I have other things to help me put myself to sleep..

There was also Vlad's possible fear of Merkel
https://www.vox.com/2014/12/1/7313443/vladimir-putin-merkel
https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2022/04/07/the-last-of-her-kind-chancellor-angela-merkel-marton/
The other takeaway is that Putin was scared of Hillary, too, big time, and that was a possible major reason for him to help Dear Leader in his contest with her.
https://www.cnn.com/2016/10/15/opinions/putin-clinton-hate-affair-ghitis/index.html
It's an interesting story, it seems, but weird in a few ways. Besides the lack of a backstory explanation, I was perplexed by his wife's full throated endorsement of his going. I guess that's one way to get rid of a boring husband who just hangs around the house all day.
She expressed no concern about his well being in a war zone, as a participant, leaving behind also 2 adult sons and 2 adult step-sons. It didn't mention grandchildren. Imagine getting great satisfaction from going off to kill people in combat.
On the other hand, I couldn't imagine him ever being President or having been.
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/03/john-bolton-donald-trump-ukraine-finland-russia
I really dislike Bolton but I can't see an ulterior motive in this.
Yes, and if he's a paid mercenary, that should have been an interesting stand alone story itself, or an important part of the one that was written.. Journalism malpractice in my opinion.
He had Trump in his back pocket, for sure. If it wasn't pee tapes, it was something else powerful.
Or maybe Vlad controlled the money pipeline into Trump properties since no reputable bank was willing to lend him money any more.
Not gonna disagree with you on that one. Although maybe Flynn was the Benedict Arnold of our age, both having been traitorous Generals.
That's what I thought, about Trump handing over Ukraine in his second term.
There's also some buzz that Putin was a little afraid of Merkel and was waiting for her to step down.
Trump took the word of Putin over his own 16(?) intelligence agencies.
If Trump were still in office he'd be this generation's Neville Chamberlain.
Probably? That's an explanation that suffices? Maybe he's a highly paid mercenary, which should have been reported. Otherwise a career soldier, non-officer, usually doesn't amass a fortune.
Why should a news report leave things for readers to guess at and why are you good with that?
That's the point. If we have to guess about things that should have been mentioned in the story, then that story that has holes in it, by definition.
Not ruin his life? So far, so good, but there's no guarantee he'll come back alive or without major injury from a war zone.
If he fought in Afghanistan and Iraq and now finds himself needing to fight in Ukraine, I'd describe that as a pretty major "war jones." He can't adjust to a non-war life.
Is it heroic to abandon your family and responsibilities to pursue your dream and maybe never come back?
I"m curious about the mechanics of his decision to fight in Ukraine. For example, how is his rent getting paid while he's off fighting? Food for the wife, taxes, heating bills, mortgage, car maintenance, insurance, where is the money coming from?
It's heroic that he wants to go defend Ukraine but how does this work in the real world? I know if I went off to Ukraine until May, for whatever reason, and didn't have any income during that time, my bills would still pile up and would need to get paid. Maybe his employer is giving him this time off, with pay?
Maybe his wife is the breadwinner and he was a stay at home whatever? This story has holes you can drive a car through.
