Hi Mike,
You are correct. Unfortunately, I did not explain my comment about it being a good read. What I meant was that it was a good read in the sense that we actually received some information from KBLB, a rare occurrence. Even though it was misinterpreted, miscontrued etc..it was information.
This article forced to company to respond, and that was the "good" thing about it. Anytime we receive ANY INFORMATION, I am happy. As plants require sunshine, water, and fertilizer, investors need information, even if it is a bit askew...
Boden, Thanks for bringing back this article. It is a great read...GO KBLB....
Great point, bigfoot....
Great points, Mike....I always contact Ben, never Joe....
Thanks for all of your work gs1000....
Gs1000,
I agree with Romans. This is kind of a disjointed response. His last line states, "What are your expectations for this product?"
I don't get this. Why on earth would he be asking you what the heck you expect from this product. That is why you emailed him in the first place. He is the expert, not you or me or anyone else on this board.
This sounds like it was written by me, and that is pretty sad....
KC,
I agree with..Good to see you loving KBLB AGAIN. Gittr done!!
well-said....
Sounds like Zinc has a good idea about getting Kim to provide an update. He has put Kim in just that position....
Hi Manshoon,
I still feel in my gut that big news is coming very soon surely before Easter. It could very well be before the end of this month, but take it to the bank; it is coming. I feel 100% sure about that.
If I had to bet, I would say before the end of January, all just IMHO. My gut feelings have always treated me well, and I believe them now also.....
the nose knows...
Thanks for re-posting this, pool. I will shoot them an email myself. Go Under Armour! Go KBLB!
great job, Mike....
well-said, es1....
Mojo,
Ben does exactly what he is supposed to do, reassure shareholders.
It is so easy to misinterpret what people say. Those who are cynical look at what he might say as a hint. I, on the other hand, know there are no hints involved. He does his job of answering questions the best he can, and he makes us feel more confident.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by him "whispering sweet nothings over the phone." Again, I interpret this remark as being cynical. I look at what he says as support not negative but positive...
I would not be so cynical of Ben. He is a good man who, like Atlas, holds the weight of the world (of investors) on his shoulders. He does a masterful job of reouassuring shareholders without saying anything controversial....
Ben is a true gentleman. He walks on thin ice. He has to watch every word he says, so some people, like you, misinterpret what he might say. You take what he says as a hint. I take what he says as skating, trying his best to be a nice guy but unable to really say much....
Manshoon,
There is not need to pick on Ben or put words in his mouth. He has always been honest and strightforward with me. We all know he cannot tell us a thing, and I feel we all know why.
The things I say on this board are from my gut. On August 5, 2012, Kim put out his letter to us shareholders. In it, he specifically said that developments will be occurring in the near term.
I looked up the meaning of near term. It is, "a period of time referring to a short time into the future. Near team is used to describe events that may occur soon."
It has been five months since his letter, and I feel "near term" is upon us. IMHO, I believe a deal is very close. Again, my beliefs and my thoughts are just that, mine.
I trust Kim implicitly. I believe what he says, and I feel near term is coming very very soon. Those who do not believe or trust in Kim have doubts. I have none....
I'm not sure about becoming super rich, but I agree with you...
You are exactly right, Romans...
No No No, the Big Mac....
The way I think it will go is that a much better deal than we are thinking will occur, and there will be no need for financing.
That is just IMHO...
Diva,
You are absolutely CORRECT. Nice job....
I do not see KBLB needing any more financing, since I believe a deal is coming soon....
How in the name of all investing do you consider ANY of these as pumps? They are statements of facts by the CEO or things that have transpired with the company over this time. No one paid him or the PNAS or Sigma to "pump" anything. Such are occurrencies in the history of the growing stage of the company.
You are mistaking pumps for company information which every stock puts out. The last pump I saw was Joe Noel, and that was several years ago. Again, look up what pumpers do, and none of these are examples of that.
Again, your bias against Kim and the company allows you to misinterpret things. Also, as I have said time and time again, there is always an alternative to holding the stock. When you and others sell, I and others will step in to take your shares.
Dollar cost averaging is a great way to buy KBLB. I just bought more shares this morning below .04. As I said, these prices will be in the rear view mirror very soon, so load up....
King,
That was the first time I listened to this entire pod cast, and it was truly amazing. Thanks for the great information...Bob
"why don't you come up with a good excuse/category that continues to put blame on the shareholders for the dismal performance and continued baiting of this pos company."
I see no baiting involved anywhere. If you invested here, and you do not have the patience to see it through, then the answer is clear. If you consider KBLB to be a POS like you say, then you know the answer as well....
AMEN, King.....
The product is MS, and we are on the cusp of commercialization. I feel news is close, so load up....
Exactly, Retro.....
Hi Jenn,
You are correct in saying that the comparisons between APPL and KBLB are all babble, meaningless. You are also correct in stating that KBLB is "a cheap bet." Who cares about APPL anyway? We are in the midst of seeing a new company grow, and it will have returns as good if not better than the apple.
The price you can pay for this "bet" is so very cheap right now. Of course, there is a reason for it to be at this PPS. However, for all of the naysayers and non-believers, I will say it again.
One needs to always be patient with every investment. Once one begins to lose patience, this is when the greatest mistakes occur.
I will state my belief again that news is coming soon. Therefore, be patient, since all good things come to those who wait. I keep buying at these prices, since I know that they will soon be gone. Then, all of us, including me, will be saying, "damn, I should have bought more."
Peach,
I equate risk with volatility (the beta of a stock). In finance, the beta is "a measure of the volatility, or systematic risk, of a security or a portfolio in comparison to the market as a whole."
The volitility or beta for KBLB is 1.84. The beta for a blue chip company like Haliburton (HAL) is 1.74. The beta for our dream stock DuPont(DD) is 1.49. Look these three companies up on YahooFinance, and you will see their betas are as I have listed them here.
Therefore, KBLB is not as risky as you may think. It is not a low risk stock, but it is not as high a risk as many investors might think.....
"This is what most stock touts do to lure the foolish into buying their newsletters and other services."
You are absolutely correct, Mike. I know from first-hand experience. Excellent post...
Information about the current status of research, potential prospects for development and commercialization, status of any movement towards Gen 2 and Gen 3. If that's not enough, I am sure I can think of several more....
My thoughts exactly...
Manshoon,
Sorry, I accidentally deleted your email, since I thought your message would be on the ihub board.
No, I never studied Economics. I found the subject to be very confusing, and I never had a great propensity for math.
I feel we all understand where KBLB stands econimically, since they have not YET earned a dime.
However, anyone would be foolish to overlook the potential of a product which could replace plastic. The markets for KBLB are astronomical, so I feel it is worth the risk.
If you read First Mike's post #51021, you will understand my thoughts about investing in KBLB. Mike does another great job of explaining the rationale behind investing here.
I still feel in my gut that news is coming soon, so I stand by that, even though I was wrong with my Chrismas prediction. I may have been a bit early, but nonetheless, I feel I am correct. My gut feelings have served me well over the years, and I trust them now.....
Nobody,
You said this perfectly. Nice job....
Festivus Day
Great points, Silk.....
You are the among very best....Hope you have a Happy New Year....
