I see. They can't keep the interest rates down forever, and isn't a stronger dollar ultimately better...in the end. I guess it's going to be a longer ride up than I had hoped. At least we have Apple buying shares back, but I don't understand why anyone would buy those bonds versus AAPL stock...unless they're just looking to balance their portfolios.
No problem with that. I did the same back in '04. I still have 62,500 shares in BIEL at a loss if I sell. Maybe they'll become something someday. GLTY I hope it works out.
It's frustrating...nothing but good news for Apple, yet we're a dollar down with a lower low. How do we lose that kind of ground. MYPENNYGOBOOM...thoughts? I see that the markets are down for the day, but oil is higher and jobs report positive. What gives? Money flowing to oil for the time being?
I'm almost starting to think I'd be better off riding the oil tide in and then coming back to Apple. Maybe AAPL will be ready to break out by then. Patience...must...exercise...patience.
Yep...pinks are a waste of time and money...usually
I'm an options rookie. I don't know where to start without losing my money.
No doubt! And I'm not sure what the problem is with cutting the dividend. It was a smart move. The stock is on sale right now. Investors should be doubling down. I'm tempted to move other money to this stock, but I think I'll have to stick with what I have for a bit. Plenty money to be made here. The dividend will come back when the dust settles, I'm sure.
Plenty money to be made, I'm sure! I wish I had more to put in.
That's what I'm talking about! T-Minus 10, 9, 8, ...
So, is this the bounce? It sure seems like it.
I guess it doesn't really matter. I'm in for the long haul. I'm sure this time next year we will all be looking back remembering when it was down around $120.
No doubt. I think Apple pay is going to be a cash cow for Apple. I still think they should come out with a system to rival XBOX ONE...especially if they want to be in the tv business.
Do they put a target date on that expectation? I like the $200+ that I've been seeing from Carl Icahn.
I think Apple should come out with their own gaming/entertainment console to rival XBOX/PS.
Well, I'm in and hoping for a revival down here. If the stores down here get renovated, it'll certainly be a good sign for us! I'm in for the long haul.
Thanks. I figured they were better elsewhere than here. The Walgreens and CVS stores are everywhere...and newly renovated. The few Rite Aids are dingy, but I remember when they were new. They were popular. I think they could do better than CVS down here, eventually. I bought in around 7.33. If it drops a good bit, I'll buy more. If not, I'll let it ride as is.
I just bought in today. What's the sentiment around here between the longs and how much potential do you all think this company has. I know that Rite Aid stores in the New Orleans area are dreadful looking compared to CVS and Walgreens, but it seems like they're on the road to recovery. So I bought a handful of shares...for starters.
The Bulls are on the loose! Lol
121 would be a nice run
200% ... Nice! I'm nowhere near savvy enough to be in the options game. I'm trying to learn it, but I have no idea where to start. I'm in for the long haul on the bulk of my investments, and I keep some for trading on faster returns. It seems a lot of people lose tons on making the wrong decisions. If you can bang out that kind of profit on a regular basis...that's pretty sweet.
I agree. EOD rally for the dividend and still a solid entry point. I'm in at $113...holding indefinitely.
I thought GT was selling the equipment to pay off remainder of debt owed to Apple.
If $120 doesn't lock in today, it will this week. We're on a roll! Go AAPL!
Victory will be ours today! 120 on the horizon...go longs
I agree. This is also why I like BIEL. People need to get away from the narcotics. Unfortunately, good products don't always prevail. Pharmaceutical companies are huge adversaries in competition. I have a feeling the pps will drop further, at which point I'll buy more shares, and I sincerely hope that B. Braun is here to shine the light on them.
I wonder if they will be working with or against Harman...leading tech company for auto connectivity.
Scottrade shows it closed at $118.65
Why is it different on investorshub?
Nevermind...that died quickly
She's trying to hit 119 EOD
I'm not sure, but I hope it goes down a little more before earnings so I can get a good position for the long run. I wish I had been looking at RAD a year ago. I have stock in Apple. They posted record earnings, and the pps seems to rubber band in limbo. Lots of options and shorts...I suppose.
I thought we might see a $119 close today because of it...maybe not yet.
So, if I'm reading right, does this mean foreign earnings cannot positively influence pps unless repatriated first? Once repatriated through taxation, my stock goes up and my subsequent capital gains are taxed again, once realized? Sounds like double dipping. I don't mind paying the capital gains tax, but I don't want them dipping into the out of country profit ahead of my pps increase.
Tell me about it... I do believe it's coming soon.
$119+ Close today?
Rally Time!
Didn't see the drop coming, but I guess I should have. Enjoy the weekend...Monday fun day. They can't hold it back forever.
Lol, I know! I get it! I'm just saying...some people are looking for the breakout. I didn't mean slow and steady in the literal sense - more like every day gains a little a day versus a big leap. The big jump is exciting and all, but I like the rate it has been moving at...steady...but by no means slow in the world of stocks...just slower than all at once. That's why I said a little a day adds up fast. We don't need leaps and bounds to have the awesome performance of AAPL. Believe me...we're on the same page.
That's ok. We touched it there for a bit. Won't be long before its disappearing behind the horizon in the rear view mirror.
It's been that kind of week. Market volatility, oil sliding, interest rates, etc. It took Cook's big day and pushed it to the side. It's ok. Slow and steady wins the race. They can't hold Apple down much longer. A little a day adds up quickly.
That's what they say
Why not longer...and make even more?
