August 23rd summary of summer drill program
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/mawson-summarizes-successful-2021-drilling-100000383.html
Snipped from the press release:
Mr. Michael Hudson, Chairman and CEO states, "Our 2021 drilling program has delivered more economic grade/width intersections than ever before. We have discovered two new gold-cobalt zones, delineated significant extensions to four more prospects with defined resources and added two further prospects suitable for wireframing and resource estimation. Our Rajapalot gold camp is expanding rapidly, allowing us to extend our successful exploration strategy across the full 100 square kilometre property. Drill success has continually increased through recognition of strong linear late structural controls to high-grade gold-cobalt mineralization and a strong correlation with electromagnetic conductors that provide a large potential for increasing mineral resources in future drill campaigns. A resource upgrade is due before the end of August."
Click the link for the full report including some high grade gold intercepts.
When does it translate to a Go/No Go decision to proceed with final permitting and development of a mine plane and ultimately mining the resource? Probably not this year. Patience in all things - especially gold start ups.

Snipped from the article:
Hudson added that the mineralized body at South Palokas has now been drilled 650m down plunge.
“Drilling this year has demonstrated significant growth to the four current resource areas and has also added two further resource areas. We look forward to releasing remaining drill hole results and announcing the next resource upgrade in August."

Need some guidance on the timeline for this project - how far out a new resource estimate, production decision and permitting then the big ones - construction and production? It may be imponderable but some guidance would be welcome. Two years, five years, ten years?
I am somewhat sadly redeploying part of my Mawson holdings to other projects after many years with this company.
Slow boat to Finland -- hope Mawson is on course for a production decision in the nexxt 12 months The Press Releases are good with cobalt added to the flow charts and continued expansion of the mineralized zone and eventual resource calculation but not enough to make a GO decision.I am not sure what permitting is neeeded once the decision is made to mine and process the ore we know exists.

Anybody reading anything into the tea leaves? The company presentations no longer give us any guidance as to production - not even a vague indication.
The general public is reading more and more about psychedelics and specifically therapeutic psilocybin - as in the article cited by Treedoc.
Here's another extolling the benefits of psilocybin in treating psych conditions.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/07/24/how-psychedelic-assisted-therapy-with-mdma-and-psilocybin-works.html
This snippet from the article goes very briefly into the HOW of psilocybin's action in the brain. This is from CNBS's "Make It" online magazine.
With psilocybin, for instance, it is believed the drug boosts connectivity in the brain and increases “neuroplastic states,” which are the brain’s ability to reorganize and adapt, says Dr. Stephen Ross, associate professor of psychiatry at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, who has been conducting clinical trials on psilocybin-assisted therapy for the past 16 years.
A recent Yale University study conducted on mice, for instance, found that a single dose of psilocybin led to an immediate increase in connections between neurons that lasted for a month afterwards.
For Treedoc - I had a comms from Liviana indicating the CBD infused oils we both ordered are ready to ship - and we should receive confirmation of shipment very soon. They have had quite a few orders from the US.
It's good to support M2Bio and their olive oil sales branch, Liviana, but I think it might be wise to wait and see how Treedoc and I do. We both got prompt confirmation for our orders, but I so far have gotten no tracking info and no indication of shipping costs which for two bottles of their product shipped internationally would normally be costly. Also their payment portal, Paygate, didn't show me an AMEX card option but it did take the card numbers and that transaction went thru with AMEX doing the conversion from Rand to USD. Maybe not 100% set up yet for US deliveries. Several emails have gone unanswered so far. Still looking forward to trying their Liviana brand infused olive oils.
I had to zero out my first olive oil order where I flubbed payment method and just now started a new order of two bottles of Liviana Olive Oil and used the "Paygate" choice and my American Express card. That one " took" and I got the confirmation immediately by email.
The checkout screen never showed me shipping cost so either it's part of the stated cost or will be added separately but that is not indicated. Cost for two bottles Rand 338.

Link to an online magazine article on rare earths, the environmental considerations of mining REE and MP Material's Mountain Pass mine. Mention also of DOD funding of the restart at Mountain Pass. A major thrust of the article is that mining is a dirty, polluting business.
https://jalopnik.com/rare-earth-minerals-will-put-the-u-s-between-a-rock-an-1847262353
No mention was made of Niocorp so I sent an email to the author, Jose Rodriquez, inviting him to take a look at a prospective Critical Minerals/REE underground mine that was being designed fully conscious of environmental considerations and that our CEO was very strong on ENG principals: Environmental, Social and Governance.
Hope he looks into it and finds that REE mining done right is good for the environment and is can take place right here in the US from mining to processing.
Infused olive oil. I did a minor eyeroll when I heard the term but have learned that not only is plain olive oil a huge market but the infused olive oils are growing fast.
I got a blub from MD/Huckster Dr. Steve Gundry declaring that today, Sunday, July 11sth is the first-ever National Polyphenol Day! He made that up to promote his "Gundry MD Polyphenol-Rich Olive Oil". God know what that is or does but it shows that you can create a new market by infusing olive oil with something with health benefits. In the Doctor's case -"Polyphenols". In M2Bio's case olive oil infused with CBD.
The e-commerce site: https://liviana.co.za/ then SHOP NOW.
Three are three varieties - each is Rand 169 or about $12 USD - very reasonable. Not sure yet of shipping to the US.
So no more eye rolls, bring on the marketing and make everyone worldwide aware of our new product line of CBD infused South African olive oils
I tried to place an order for the Lemon Infused oil but the order shows "ON HOLD" and I've contacted Livinia to see where I went wrong. Probably in the payment method. Anyone else run into a quandary using the website? Anyone received their product yet and have a comment?
https://www.proactiveinvestors.com/companies/news/953640/mawson-gold-increases-footprint-and-improves-continuity-of-high-grades-with-south-palokas-drilling-in-finland-953640.html
Familiar pattern of strong assay from a drill program - all additive to favorable resource portrait -- but the movement toward "whatever's next" is slow and just not a word about a timeline.
There have been general guidance dates in the past but no longer does the Corp Presentation give us any guidance as to even the decade when exploration might give way to a mine plan and construction and finally production. It's asking a lot of investors to keep the faith and watch their money lie "dormant" for another three to six or eight years. There are many other opportunities - we all know that.
Anybody else feel the same? Sure can't say any long termers are impatient. I still like the story behind Mawson Gold, like the CEO and the prospects but the timing is becoming a bigger not smaller issue.

Interesting article on another company in the mushroom space - not a competitor till M2Bio breaks into the US market.
If this outfit has approval for mushroom infused coffees here in the US then the door would appear to open to others. The potential market for enhanced coffee is considerably wider than that for medical/pharmaceutical uses.
M2Bio is already into wellness with CBD and mushroom infused coffees thru the Medespresso line. The door is definitely open and M2Bio is positioned to hit the ground running with the science and products already in the pipeline. Just need widescale distribution and marketing and sales.

The numbers are very favorable. Here's a quote from the CEO:
Filip Kozlowski, CEO of Leading Edge Materials states “I am pleased to share the exciting results from the PEA for our vertically integrated Woxna Graphite mine to anode material project. With forecast post tax IRR of 37.6% the project could potentially deliver a great financial opportunity whilst enabling Europe to reduce reliance on Chinese imports, which currently dominates 100% of the processing of natural flake graphite for lithium-ion battery anode applications. The PEA demonstrates the competitive advantage of the project’s Swedish location, with access to hydropower the planned production is not only shown to be potentially cost competitive with current global alternatives but also enables a minimal carbon footprint for our products. This is expected to be born-out in the previously announced planned LCA report where independent consultancy Minviro Ltd. will use the data from the PEA to calculate the environmental impact of the project.”
I have found an interesting and fun website with near real-time satellite imagery from the European Space Agency Sentinel I and II satellites. It's free but their free imagery is relatively low resolution -- you'll get older but higher res images using Google Earth or Google Maps. But you won't know the dates of the images.
Here's a link to the Sentinel imagery already set up on the section of land including Niocorp's main 640 acres - one section at one mile on a side. This is interactive - you can zoom and pan but before you do that let me give some pointers to orient you to the display as it comes up and before you begin panning and zooming.
https://eos.com/landviewer/?lat=40.26785&lng=-96.18174&z=15&side=R&slider-id=S2B_tile_20210603_14TQK_0&slider-b=Red,Green,Blue&slider-anti&id=S2A_tile_20200613_14TQK_0&b=Red,Green,Blue&anti
With eyes on that center square which is a section of land note THE literal Elk Creek as the diagonal strip of dark green at lower right. The owner's [lifetime leasehold] farm house and outbuildings are just north of the creek with the road entrance off of Hiway 50. The section is mostly in row crops with some wooded areas mainly along intermittent creeks.
This is actually set up as a comparative scene. Notice the vertical bar with white circle and three short lines in it. That is a slider and moving it back and forth left to right displays the image from June 3rd, 2021 in the left hand panel or imagery from Jun 3rd, 2020 - one year ago in the right panel. Very useful to detect changes in land use, excavation/construction, and state of crops. No dozer work yet so nothing will show up till the Red Shovel goes to work.
Slide the divider line back and forth to see changes in the past one year - mainly you'll see earlier or later ag work and crop development. This time of year a few days either way in the date corn was planted and rainfall can make a noticeable diff in the emergence of the corn and the overall green up. Some eyes on the ground could better tell us what crops and how far up they are but I'm guessing corn about six inches out of the ground -not seeing that in the imagery - just watching our local crops between St. Joe and Kansas City.
This site is not the most intuitive in the world - they say it is but it isn't. You can hit the icon at upper right on the right hand side bar - it's labeled "Comparison Slider" - to choose other past imagery and the preview thumbnails will show you the degree of cloud cover. You want to always compare Sentinel II or Sentinel I imagery with other Sentinel imagery. Landsat images not too useful in my time spent on the site.
Many other options - mostly still mysteries to me but Natural Color, Sentinel I or II are the settings I find useful. Cloud cover is a problem in the springtime (and winter) in the Midwest so you might have to go back a week or more to find a good view. Note the date group with left/right arrows at bottom of that sidebar - use the arrows to go back and forth in time.
You might want to set up your own account on the site and that way you can set Areas of Interest and return to them quicker than navigating to them each time plus you'll get notifications when new images are available for your AOIs. The polar orbiting birds don't pass over any one area every day, more like 2 or 3 days a week there'll be a useful pass - depending on cloud cover. I also follow a mining operation in the Sonoran desert of Mexico - about 320 cloudless days a year there so nearly every day is a good day for imagery.
Always the trade off between resolution, price and frequency. With this Land Viewer site you get near real time , free imagery but low resolution. Pay more to get more - via subscription sites or pay by the image. This site has higher imagery available from other sensors for a fee. It surprises me Land Viewer "gives away" what they do. Many parts of their service are geared toward ag users and lots of features that allow operators to choose their AOIs by specific fields.
Here is a site that's been posted several times previously but reposting it now since images 3 thru 7 give a good way to home in on the Niocorp section of land if you loose your place when navigating with Land Viewer - easy to do.
http://kcsky.net/Niobium/DenverDec2016.htm
The satellite shots in this article were older, higher resolution images from Google Earth. The shot of the green Molycorp buildings is a cellphone image I took on a Dec 2016 visit to the site after attending the Shareholder Meeting in Denver. Two shareholders were there that year, 2016. I haven't been to an annual meeting since but understand a larger group is typically in attendance lately. I hope they need to rent an event center for the 2021 meeting.
Critical Minerals are a hot topic lately - rightly so. Here is an article from globalsecurity.org - a defense news aggregator -on the topic of Chinese domination of Rare Earths and Critical Mineral supply chains important to the US and Allies. Nothing particularly new and Niocorp is not mentioned but it's another sign the topic is in front of a lot eyes nowadays and Niocorp is perfectly positioned to benefit from such attention.

A snippet from the article:
Although each country makes up its own list of "critical minerals" based on its strategic needs, China is a dominant supplier in all of the lists.
In the EU's list, China is the largest source of imports for 10 minerals. Among the 24 critical minerals identified by the Australian government in its Critical Minerals Prospectus 2020 report, China is listed as the largest producer of 11 of them. In the U.K.'s Risk List, China is the leading producer of 23 minerals.
The 2019 report said that of the 35 key minerals in the U.S., the largest supplier of 13 CMs is China, and China is also the largest producer of 19 CMs.

On the 60 Minutes program Sunday, May 1st, I noted their segment on US dependence on Asian, largely Taiwanese, suppliers of semiconductors and the profound bind that puts us in when the supply chain slows.
I occurred to me the Producers might air a similar segment on our dependence on Critical Minerals, a hot topic currently, and I started composing a note in my head but then thought it best to ask Jim Sims if he liked the idea of shareholder activism in behalf of a future Niobium/Scandium/Titanium producer. He sent me the suggestions below for shareholder ambassadors and I appreciated his response.

Thanks for reaching out.
In general, it is helpful for media reporters to hear from multiple contacts encouraging them to a particular story. But there are some general guidelines on the do’s and don’ts.
Reporters almost always are assigned a beat to cover, e.g., environmental regulation, automotive, mining, etc. Some cover several beats, particularly at smaller news outlets. Some are general assignment reporters, but only at local media outlets. Successful pitches are generally are those that are aimed at reporters who cover a specific beat. Reporters are inundated today with story pitches, and most of what they receive has nothing to do with their beat. These pitches often get deleted.
Successful story pitches often start by pointing to a recent trend (such as global spending on transportation infrastructure build-out) and then pointing out that there is a problem with the attainment of the goals sought (e.g., lack of a diverse supply of certain critical minerals, such as niobium, that are essential to transportation infrastructure). That approach generally works well.
Reporters will not react well if they sense that they are being carpet-bombed by multiple parties in an organized effort to cover a certain story (or company). Efforts such as this are counterproductive – particularly if a reporter gets the sense that the pitches are coming from investors seeking to push their own particular investments.
Appeals to reporters to cover the investment potential of a small cap company should be aimed specifically at reporters who write about small cap investments.
Pitches that convey an unusual or “new” aspect of a story or project or company generally have more success. Most mainstream reporters look to do stories that haven’t been covered by others already.
I hope this is helpful. Thanks for your efforts!

Still early but the psychedelic field is definitely known to both the medical and investment worlds. Here's a link to a New York Times article on therapeutic use of psilocybin and MDMA. If it doesn't come up - try right click on the URL and "Open in Incognito Window".

From the article: "After decades of demonization and criminalization, psychedelic drugs are on the cusp of entering mainstream psychiatry, with profound implications for a field that in recent decades has seen few pharmacological advancements for the treatment of mental disorders and addiction. The need for new therapeutics has gained greater urgency amid a national epidemic of opioid abuse and suicides."
M2Bio - right place, right time. Now to get a firm foothold and execute.

The timeline just sort of trails off after 2021 - no specifics leaving investors without much guidance as to a start of construction or commencement of operations. Apparently it's so indefinite it can't be shown even in vague form. It was previously on their charts but those estimates proved very premature so it's deemed safest to just not make mention of those future events.

We are on a choppy rise that dates back to March 8th 2021, about six week ago and it's not clear that it is going to sustain itself. News is always given an favorable spin but the timeline to a Feasibility Study and a clear decision to develop this project is not certain. The corporate presentation no longer shows dates for future events such as construction start - just too speculative to put their name on it yet.

I'd like some guidance as to what lies ahead- a Feasibility study if such is to be produced, info on additional permitting and a general guide as to the next steps. The project has been four years out for at least five years maybe longer and it's still three or four years out and that's my estimate. The company has been burned in the past and is wisely I suppose laying low on that.
I hope by the end of the decade there is an operating gold and cobalt operation in Finland and gold mining in Australia. Western US? Sure hope for the best there too - that one I can visit someday perhaps. At age 77 will I be around to see anything by the end of the decade? Not knowable.

This is a pretty dense paper for laymen. One sentence from the conclusion is germane to current discussion here: "Geometry and geophysics suggest that the plug of magnetite-dolomite carbonatite will extend downwards rather than laterally"
Also Appendix A gives concentrations in ppm for selected core samples of the major oxides and elements.
With the discussion of rare earth recovery and especially separation and processing to deliver a finished product would it be necessary to return to the pilot plant stage to verify a flow chart for that process?
The time and cost of restarting the pilot plant would be considerable.

Many videos on their products and use of their devices. One under foot and akle was of particular interest about repair of an Achilles Tendon separation since my wife is recovering now from just such an injury suffered last October. Learned more from the video than I did from her doctor since we were in pandemic lockdown mode and I could not accompany her to the office calls.

Coincidence last week. I was killing time waiting to pick up my daughter in the west part of the Kansas City metro. While idly scrolling thru the Arthrex website I saw the list of their global locations. Noted one in Lenexa, Kansas just a few miles from where I was parked. Didn't drive by but the local connection was fun to learn of.
No idea why but IPKL continues to trade modestly. I sold half the million shares I was stuck with and holding the remaining half to see what happens. I think it will end nowhere but will stay here to see if someone needs the shell.

Excellent video by Scott and it's very encouraging that company is now seriously considering what was set aside for later in most prior discussions. Later may be "sooner".
Thirty-five views as of 2 30 pm Thursday. Let's share the link in any appropriate forum or via our email network. Make Scott famous. Let's break 150 views by Friday. Just one placement in the right forum could easily do it.

A new Wall Street Journal podcast titled: "How Psychedelic Drugs Are Making A Comeback To Treat Depression" highlights use of psilocybin in treating depression - citing "magic mushrooms" as the source. Hardly any media outlet more mainstream than the WSJ. It will introduce many newcomers to the concept of therapeutic use of psilocybin. The author is Janet Babin, a senior producer and host of the WSJ series, "The Future of Everything":.
The thirty-three minute podcast is available on several platforms
including iHeart Radio, Amazon Music and player.fm or via this link:

Why is this stock trading? What do you own when you buy one million shares for $300 or $400? You'll never see a stock certificate but i guess it will show as an entry on brokerage statement.
There is no company, no office, no phone number, no CEO. It's a defunct, empty shell but most days there is some trading. Has anyone pinned down why a dead shell is trading again?
Today it's quoted at 0.0005 and 2.3 million shares have traded as of 11 30 am CST. But why?
I know the pilot plant was a contract firm - but also wonder if the setup is intact and could be restarted relatively quickly if Scott and Mark wish to test a new flow chart or even work on processing for the REE?

Pretty GOES-16 Satellite view of the snow field over Nebraska this afternoon. The gray areas are the cities, Omaha and Lincoln -the rivers show up nicely. Over southeast Nebraska about 8 inches of snow remains even with gradually warming temperatures. The white, reflective snow retards the warm up but tomorrow will see temps in the upper 40s for OMA - then cooler again so the deepest parts of the snowfield will remain in place for a while.

Each time you click the link a new set of 28 frames will load so the loop will go to Infrared as the sun sets across the region for later loops you load later today.
Same link will work tomorrow with visible imagery after about 7 30 am. You can pan and zoom and even choose other satellite views using the controls on the right sidebar. Very flexible interface. You can't hurt anything. Click the link above to get back to the original loop if you stuck. Go Full Disk for the full hemispheric view. It's fun to watch the terminator between day and night move across the globe.
