I have done this before. I kept getting spam to go to an online ordering site. I knew how this person who was sending out the spam got my info so I told he in was in his best interest to remove me from the spamming list. Instead he sent my email address out to other spammers. So I wrote a program that would open up many connections to the sites that were being advertised. Most of the time within a 30 minute window you can bring the site down.
It just so happens one of the sites belonged to the spammer also and he wrote me asking why I was doing it. We had words back and forth and it took him some time but he did go out to the other spammers to have my email address removed. I did not budge and I told him I would only stop when all spam stopping. It took him some time but it did stop.
I know of at least one product out there that I am not going to mention too much about other than it looks for these types of messages and other spam, when it detects it it dramatically slows down the connected IP bandwith to bring the spamming to server to its knees. The more companies that use products like this the more likely we can run these spammers and scammers out of business.
Is there anyone out there who makes it their business to track these people down and try to something about these type of scams? There must be something that can be done. Like if we knew their IP address, lets say we find a webserver for them, next create a tool that continuously downloads their website until they run out of bandwidth. This is not a denial of service attack, it just simulates tons of users viewing their page until they run out of bandwidth, then their site is inaccessible until the next month or until they pay for more bandwidth.
There must be a way we can start returning the favor. If their cost went substantially up they might have to stop. Also, once their site is down, there is at least a period when maybe at least part of their business is down.
There may be other ways also.
Yeah I noticed it. I am not sure what the break down was though. It could have been someone just selling one large amount of share that caused the increased. More than likely someone who is tired of waiting for the PR.
I am not sure why we can not get anything official out of this company. Maybe they have friends outside the company and by doing what they are doing would cause the price to drop so that their buddies could buy lower. I am not sure why. But I do know from past PR there usually is not a lot to say and could have been wrote up quickly. At one time the PR was coming out quickly which got everyone excited and bought like crazy but now it is following a pattern very much like a typical scam. Whether someone is scamming us or not does not matter because this is the impression everyone is getting.
At this point I have lost enough that I must let it ride. This is also partly because there seems to be more factual evidence that the company does exist, people say Carl Swan is a legend and that we should support him, etc. But if this is a scam they could very much be just using Carl's name and paid him for those pictures. I really don't know. But there are many companies started everyday with really good intentions but yet still fail. And in this case it would not take many dry wells to break the bank. And we all know without some improved or enhanced method many of these locations have been drilled and dried out a long time ago.
BFDE does not appear to be in any of these bad list for this year or last. This is a good thing.
Any new news on this? Is there any way to turn the scam around so that they will regret trying to scam you or is there a way to report them? There must be some way to track these dummies down and start putting a stop to these crimes.
There are some. Did a search for scam.

You know, we could just start another board on here so that when people get an email that is obvious pump and dump they can mention the stock symbol. The only problem is that if everyone on here knows it is a pump and dump they might want to very quickly get in and out to make money also. But this could also help take some funds away from the scammers who started it in the first place. Eventually I guess if the information was gathered together it would take enough opportunity away from the scammers that they might just stop.
Another thing would be what if someone says they got an email spam for a symbol that they really did not get an email for. All in all though, knowing where a pump and dump scheme is taking place the same time the scammers do could greatly affect their profits.
Very soon in turtle time.
Yeah Guppy stop in. Your comments have shown you to be very honest about when you bought, when you sold, and your thoughts on this stock. So if it drops to a penny and you get on here and say I am sure glad I got out when I did. If I am still here I will just agree with you and say I wish I had followed.
I came up with some really good ideas earlier today and put in for a patent. The documentation was CRAZY. Took me 4 hours to fill it out and this is only the start of the process.
I just thought of an idea. I work for Symantec Corporation where we alreay scan billions of email a day for spam and viruses. I am not going to say much but I just cam up with an awesome idea that can help collaborate the data we already have to start cracking doen on these scammers. I am putting in the idea right now to the patent office! Not sure if they will buy into it but they should because it is really just bringing together what we already have to target these scammers. And because there are billions traded each day I am sure investors want protection against this kind of thing.
Got to run and get this submitted before someone steals my idea.
One thought is that maybe Bedford Energy is an OK business trying to make a name for itself like any other company but became the company of choice for the next scam. Maybe once this listed a scammer decide to spam people forcing it to go way up when lets say it should be trading about where it is now or even lower. Then Bedford Energy could have become a victim also.
But the last 3 months kind of demonstrate that they might be involved in something dishonest. I am sure we will know soon.
Hey Bedfordfan don't get mad at us for speculating. Truth is you would do the same thing if you were in our shoes. You are not speaking up, and your company is really just showing signs of trying to keep us lingering on to every little bit of hope as possible. The logs for this site I am sure are kept at least 3 months. If this is a scam we need their IP addresses to help track them down. Also, I have a feeling there is at least a couple other people involved. Not saying names now but guppy and kmx and land I trust the most on here.
It is time to find the truth whether good or bad. The good thing about that article guppy is that people wer being brought down for the scams they played. If this is a scam we need to help bring these people in to justice also. Also lets make a plan of action that we stick to. No comments on here from anyone should change our direction. If it is legit, then they have nothing to worry about.
Well I was hoping by now things would be moving at least a little more positive for this stock. Being the bad news at my company I think for now I will hold the money I just got and not trust investing it. Every dollar will be needed if I have to move.
Of course it would be nice to get a gain on my money but I think with the lesson learned on bfde it is worth more to have it for now than to risk it like a person who can not stop gambling. (hint, hint, NEVADA)
As I have said before I am up for going out there. I appreciate Jacob coming on here and making us feel comfortable even if it was only for a short period. But on here, this is just talk even if by him. Part of me says to still hold some trust but whether or not I trust them does not matter. It is what I can visually see that will matter most. And it could just be cool to meet these folks. It just makes sense.
If someone is better off going who can ask the right questions, and takes some pictures then I am for putting some money in the pot. If not, I will volunteer to go. Putting out money together to get the truth about this is one thing. But if by chance this thing is a scam who is with me to track these fools down and then we do everything in our power to bring as much justice to them as we can and expose them.
Until I hear something from these results or unless PR comes out I will not buy or sell. This could mean I lose my investment here with bfde. But it would be better for this to be over and move on than sitting around doing nothing.
I haven't been on here the past couple of days but it does not look like I missed much. My company announced yesterday theat our doors would be closed in mid July. Many people lost there jobs and had to vacate by 1pm yesterday. I did not lose my job, just my location and even have about 5 opportunities for new location. Really, we all seen it coming for a long time. There were good people here but there were also many who grew too comfortable with doing less and less. My hard work and others I knew who worked really hard were given options rather being termininated so I feel good at being one of the ones recognized.
Monday, things should be getting back to normal for my position anyways and I will be back on here chatting with you guys which hopefully will soon become a rally behind bfde.
I agree. Josh has done nothing so far in this board lately other than open it up for a couple of us to add to and apologize for not being on here and making changes.
At this point I do not believe any bashing or constructive criticism is going to hurt this stock more than it has already hurt itself. What can help or hurt us though is the information we are all waiting for from bfde.
It is times like these though that can build a fortune, if you buy why it is low and then suddenly good news comes in. I am waiting for either bad or good. If bad then all I can hope for is if we can pull out of it and get better. If good, then we will all be probably pretty well off. I was skeptical of Carl Swan when I first joined this board but now I know he is very good at what he does. If anything, his name means a lot more to me. We just have to hope that with his age he is not being taken advantage of. Somehow, I feel much better about this stock and ready for it to move up!
Good luck all.
Understand too that I am not referring to 100s of thousands of dollars. I have money going into my retirement and company stock. The money coming in is extra from tax refund, which is the first in a few years that I had surplus paid in, bonus, and a job I had done a while back. Until recently we did not know if or when we would be getting any of this and we have no plans to spend it. We have everything we need right now.
Depending on how this thing with Bedford works out will depend on how long I stay with them. But eventually I am going to put together a huge real estate deal. I see big opportunities all the time but I do not have the millions necessary to pull them off. So I am building myself up and surrounding myself with people in the business so that theey will invest in me.
My friend I mentioned earlier is one of them. His mother is worth about 10 million in real estate but all of it is apartment buildings which takes a lot of time dealing with. She still has a lot to do even though she now has a management company. So she is about ready to sell out and put her money elsewhere. These are the two people I am closest with that have a really high net worth and so I am always throwing my ideas off of them. And then I take them out and show them.
So far they have seen several times where I was right and they were wrong and these were huge. I feel if I have them fully onboard within the next couple of years then I will be able to work at the level I want. Also, in the meantime I went back to school and moving my knowlege mostly from being computer related to a business. I am building up.
I understand why to diversify. And this next buy will include to other stock purchases. It is something we plan to move more and more to in the future.
I do trust your opinion guppy but one thing my wife and I learned the last couple of days is that we couold have been invested in one of these big companies and still have lost.
This is the name of the game. But I have been telling her and my friend who has invested heavily into real estate for the past year this was coming.
I still have a lot to learn, but my goal is to not look at the past numbers of a company and solely make my decision based on that. This is good starting info, but what I prefer to do is study the economy and base my decisions as to will happen in the future if the current trends continue and put my money on the future. This is risky also, but is what I prefer.
I am just learning with these stocks. But my friend down in Florida who has made a lot of money in real estate will tell you I was right on 100% of my calls on the real estate market for the past 5 years. There were several big ones he would also say he did not agree with but would have saved or made probably another $250,000 if he would have acted on it. But this is the one market I have studied closely and have constantly kept a record on. More closely, I monitor regions I live in, plan to move to, a couple areas where my friends and family live, and where I vacation at. I never go anywhere without doing a little research on the real estate market there. It is something that has plagued my mind and interest since I was a teenager.
Did not really look at the dates because the money we are getting is coming from three differrent sources is all coming in around same time. Heck one of them is money from work I did in California almost 4 months ago which will actually be coming in on Tuesday. I will make my purchase on Wednesday.
Hopefully between now and then no news comes out that says Bedford found the largest pocket of oil ever discovered. Any news like that Jacob can wait. Actually i would be quite happy even with that news today.
Good day everyone
What a way to start the day. Build it and they will come, or well just let the market get all mixed up like the last couple of days.
If there is bad news at Bedford, we might as well get that out now. But follow up with PR saying what the plans are to improve, get by, and move forward.
Look Jacob! Are you out there? Hey man, I have met several people who have a lot more $$$ invested in Bedford than I and now I feel even more confident that you guys are for real. If these people had that much trust in you then so should I. I would still like to meet you guys one day though before you get too big with your fancy cars, houses, etc.
Talked to my wife about our plans last night and she feels strongly that maybe we should take at least 50% of this next big bulk of money we are getting and put it here. So win or lose we will be buy more probably Monday.
I know the general concensus is going to be that these guys are oilmen and therefore would not consider something like that. But above all they are businessman with an expertise in oil.
The name "Bedford Energy" tells me that they do not have to be solely oil or natural gas. If the company becomes large enough there is no reason why they could not have a research and development to look for new profitable energies.
There is a project that could make billions of dollars of the government backed it up. We will probably never see it happen but if it did those companies creating solar panels will make a fortune.
It will be really nice to one day see Bedford Energy have enough volume that it is shown on the home page under active stocks.
Right before the end of day, everything I was monitoring went in the red!
We have seen more volume in the past, and we have seen obviously higher prices before. But I feel something big coming. Told my friends who are investors and who have a lot mor emoney than I to keep a watchful eye to this stock. They would not buy before, but if this thing really starts to move I am sure they will jump on it.
BEDFORD, JACOB, do you have any plans to also getting into alternative resources? I noticed here in Virginia a company can receive millions in grants to offset cost of starting up a manufacturing plant for creating solar panels and other alternative resources. I wish I had the money, scientists, and engineers... I would make it happen. We were a leader in Solar Panels at one time now we have fallen behind. It is a shame because who ever gets ahead of the ball game will reap the most benefits tomorrow.
I believe with all the news lately this stock will have to go up even if it is mostly on speculation. How many people this year will buy into this with the same intention I had this time last year.
Wow the market is all messed up. And gas prices are going up quick. This thing should really take off on its on even without numbers!
Thanks kmx_swing but what is the link to that infomration?
For what it is worth I guess I will just continue leaving my stock alone. Heck I have already lost this much and at this moment I have some new funds coming in that I am placing on another stock that I feel really excited about. Not just because I feel it would grow but because I think the company has a product that will later have a larger niche.
I will just let this thing run its course. Even if it turns for the better and all intentions are good, operations like these still take a lot of luck and funding because each hole can be hit or miss just like these penny stocks. They try to reduce failure by using geologist reports where formations are prime locations for posible oil, gas, etc. But we never know until we drill.
How was it determined that Hill sold 500,000 shares at .30?
I must admit that I was a little dumb founded when I heard this at first because I had no idea there were people investing this much money into these penny stocks. I figured that average Joe dealing in these stocks were those looking to get into some stock action and to see if they could get lucky. It does become appealing to at least try especially if when you get lucky it could multiply hundreds of dollars into many thousands. Seems like your chances can be better than winning the lottery especially if you do some research to help reduce the risk.
Dang, and I thought my 11,000 was a lot. Much much good luck to those of you who sunk that kind of money into this stock. Is there any way we can help? Does Bedford have enough expendable cash to grow into the company they want to be? Do we need to raise interest in the stock to gain more money for Bedford Energy?
I know any gain at this point is good for us but if somehow we can collaborate the power and money needed to make BE the next big king of this business then I am onboard. The combined effort of many helped put Linux where it is today as a competitor to Microsoft OSs, is it possible to do this here?
I wonder if we can get enough Web developers together to make Bedford Energy the best website compared to other energy companies. Of course they would have to choose to use it. I am just trying to come up with ways we outsiders might be able to help in any way to create a better image for BE.
Wow, even if I had that kind of money I am not sure I would put that much into a company like this which is just starting up. But if you along with others, put that kind of money into this company because of Carl Swan then I guess Carl Swan really is a legend in this business.
So I guess with that kind of investment you are concerned and that at one time you had a lot of faith that this could be the next big thing. This actually makes me feel a little better about the decision I made a year ago.
So what can we do about this problem? How can we get other people onboard with this stock to make them want to buy it more? I am guessing that what needs to be done is that everyone who has shares should hold them even as the demand starts to go up. This would also require really good news coming from Bedford. Then once the price gets high enough we only sell in small quantities as to not spook off buyers or cause the supply to be higher than the demand.
Ideally though it would be better to get a series of good news showing higher and higher revenue for Bedford which could feed a continuous demand for the stock.
So far I have seen a lot of crap going on here in these lower priced stocks. It seems like there is an infestation of pump and dump schemes and if you are not with these guys then you are more than likely one of the ones filling their pockets with money.
Later
Ahhhh, ok, so you are the one who emailed me. Numbers of shares do not describe how much everyone has fully invested into this company though. You may have purchased back before everyone knew the name and got a million shares at .0001 or something. All I know is that I have about $11,000 wrapped into this thing because I started buying shares when this was well over a dollar.
I figure that is siginificant enough being this is an unproven company and has not shown any numbers yet.
Hmmmm, that is interesting that you would say that. How do you know how many shares I have by the way?
I have a listing of about 10 stocks that I am going to watch for the next few weeks while I do some research on them. I do think I am going to put my next big pool of money into 2 or 3 new highly active stocks. I just have to see if I can win more than lose and if so it could be exciting.
Heck this stock has 0 volume today. Which does not surprise me after it has been slowing down so much lately.
I don't blame you. At this point I think most people would walk and you held out this long. It may payoff or sink those of us that continue to stay. But if it does begin to rise later, you can always buy back in. May not be as low as it is now, but if it begins rising a lot and it becomes one of the biggest independent energy companies, even buying at a dollar will have significant growth.
If I do go out there and get a good feel of operations and I feel like buying more shares or start speaking more confidently about Bedford, it still does not mean that everyone else should follow me. This is a business decision you have to make with your money. Quite frankly I have enough invested that a $600-$800 trip out there for air fair, hotel, rental car, and food is not going to break me.
If you can not say you have that much money invested in them, then maybe you took a risk with a smaller amount which means you could probably walk away from this and the damage be minimal.
As a matter of fact if i went out there and got a possitive vibe, I would come back and describe it the way I seen it, but then I would not be talking much on here. Why? Well I would hate to think people were influenced by my info and stayed in or bought more shares because of it and then things take a turn for the worse. I do not want this on my shoulders.
But anyways this is all just talk right now. Let's see if the past conversations hold up because if they do then I may not need to go there and visit just to make myself feel better. But I would still suggest maybe later on that some of us get together out there and meet these folks and get educated on everything. Might be cool.
Not anyone other than Bedford people that I am aware of. Now I am not a millionaire by far but if I did visit and felt everything was going as I expect it to be then I might consider pumping a little more money into more stock purchases. As investors we do look opportunity to make money but I also want to find that perfect company to believe in, help get the word out about, and watch enjoy being part of something great. Because of this, I do think I am going to do more research in the future for any startup company and then fly out to see what I can see.
We have gotten into a couple wild conversations around here on this board but most of these are based on maybe a small and incomplete set of facts and a lot of specualtion. We do not know the numbers as of yet and I am not for sure why. I do know that this is not uncommon. My company merged with another company a while back and this company has several times already been late on their reportings which we were fined a lot of money.
Also keep in mind that 100 percent of good intention can be behind any startup company but thigs still go sour. Not enough business, product, or funds to name a few. Personally I get more emotional about this company because I had faith that this company was going places and it seems like things have slowed down, the stock has constantly went down, etc. When I believe in something like this I feel as much of a failure if the company fails also. Heck, guys out at Bedford may have more riding on this company than I.
To rap it up, I may have to plan a trip out there soon to help regain the faith I had in the beginning.
I appreciate the invite bedfordfan. For me it would be cool and educational to get a little insight to how the whole operation is done. It seems like it would take an aweful lot of money not only to dig the well but getting the product to distribution. First you are out in the middle of nowhere. Probably no electricity or real roads to get to the field. But then if you find your intended product now you have to setup some way of getting that product delivered.
Must take a lot of labor and materials. Personally it seems like it takes a lot of luck for a company to startup and become a big company in this field. But if you make it past certain hurtles it could happen.
Also, it seemed great the other day hearing from you and it came across as honest, direct, and you even gave all of your contact information on here. We all know that this is just a bulletin board. If your company is real and doing what it says you have nothing to worry about even if this thing does not work out because all have accepted the risk. It is just shaky when you hear stories like those in the past where the mob was getting people to invest in companies that did not really exist. So we have some skepticism and we will blow off steam on here. Guppy sold some stock but he was able to recover his money back that he lost in a very short time but he even still owns 10k shares because even he must still have some hope to hold on to or else he would have sold everything.
Now something I was just thinking about everyone. If several of us did meet out there and took some of our own pictures maybe a little video. Anything that can show we are investors who were welcomed out to visit Bedford Energy operations we might be able to give this stock a little boost. Plus we could all get some good knowlege about operations, meet the people running the show, and feel more comfortable with this investment. Something to also think about, if this stock were to soar to $36 one day and traded on Amex or NYSE I do not think any of these VPs will have the time of day for us.
I need to go speak to the oracle about the future of this stock.
Maybe if we sing to it, the stock will go up!
