some basic questions....
I've been an ERHE shareholder for 18 mos now. Watching the potential developments I am wondering if any of you could provide the following basic information to help me keep up with what looks like may be happening with this amazing stock we're in. Please don't think you can be too basic in your terms and instructions.
What is the best site to monitor Canadian (i.e. Addax) and London AIM stocks on - both for free and pay service. Right now I monitor ERHC on Yahoo finance, with a 20 min delay, perhaps I should start paying a live to the minute service. Can't seem to find even Addax easily.
What broker could I use / is recommended for AIM or CA stock purchases? Right now I use Sharebuilder which I went into blindly and only allows purchases to the whole cent (not so helpful for OTC stocks).
Any and all advice is appreciated.
One further comment: I've posted here a few times, don't have much substantive to offer. However, I truly appreciate this board and the diversity of opinions. As a multinational financial manager myself, I have great faith in ERHC management and am happy to ride the coattails. The guy who told me about this stock - some guy on an international flight, many thanks and it will be life changing in short order I believe. If you're out there, many thanks.
GLTA,

Question: will Oily reveal him/herself (and related M.O.) after ERHE is no longer ERHE, or will he/she morph to the next entertaining creature ("entertaining" is relative to one's perspective of course)?
Thanks for your post PennyTA. Whether this stock fits a typical profile or not, I find it valuable to learn about charts and trends in general. I also think it's quite interesting to understand typical trends and see how ERHE follows or not in comparison.
Don't be too hard on this poster, guys! Thanks.
Re: receipt of proxy --
Just received mine via email this morning. I use Sharebuilder (for better or worse). The email has links for the proxy statements and other information, and a link for internet voting. Don't have time to fully read it this morning. Apparently I elected to receive all communications electronically. (This is my first and only stock.)
Perhaps others will be receiving theirs soon in the same format.
Amen to that.
Interesting how the references to higher than $10 a share have increased dramatically in the last week or two. They were quite restrained before, when the mood was much more somber in the mid 20s.
The person who told me about this stock, someone I sat next to for about 12 hours on an international flight, mentioned "retirement maker" and "$25-$35 a share possibly". I have never forgotten that, and am still thankful for that stroke of luck in meeting and listening to him. Regardless of what happens, what a ride for a first stock investment!
LOL
I think we've stumbled on to the value of Joe...
Europa - the sixth moon of Jupiter -
"I did give it a good write-up in The American Reporter, and some very, very wealthy and powerful people do read our paper around the world, not only from Europa but places like Iran, Syria, China and Russia, where people likely to know about the paper are also likely to be well-heeled." (Joe S)
Interesting place for investors to be reading.
LOL, excellent
oily was deleted??
I must admit to enjoying the entertainment too...
"He waits for drilling (which doesn't cost a dime) then he will start taking offors."
Freudian slip? :)
For those that would occasionally like something else to do while waiting for this investment....

get it quick before it's deleted...
Perfect storm.
Still thinking about that. Oil keeps on going up, USD projected to weaken further before getting stronger again, company cleanup and communications improving...
Not that I have any insight to shake a stick at compared to other posters here, but I do have faith. It's just a matter of time, albeit agonizingly slow in its passing.
A perfect storm...
sure does feel like an apt description. Great post. Still buying.
Risked versus unrisked - I have had the same question and finally and could only find this (and assuming that "conditional" below means unrisked):
http://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1995/circ1118/resass/term.html
Conditional estimates.-Sizes, numbers, or volumes of oil or natural
gas that are estimated to exist in an area, assuming that they are present.
Conditional estimates, therefore, do not incorporate the risk that the
area may be devoid of oil or natural gas.
Risked (unconditional) estimates.-Resources that are estimated to
exist, including the possibility that the area may be devoid of oil or
natural gas. Statistically, the risked mean may be determined through
multiplication of the mean of a conditional distribution by the related
probability of occurrence. Resource estimates presented in this report
are risked estimates.
That speaks volumes, thanks for noting that to those of us who haven't listened yet.
Saw that too on Yahoo, thought it was me doing/reading something wrong...
Alright then, that thinking feels good....
Assuming some of you subscribe to the same theory of "the only dumb question is the one not asked"....
In riding a stock like ERHE, how do you know when to get out? I read all the posts, most of the links, lots of other background info, and so on, so I have a good basic grasp of the influences, facts and players. Assuming things happen quick for ERHE, what are the things to think about in figuring out when to jump off the ride?
Thanks in advance.
Are they actually drilling and there's news? From reading the Yahoo links I can't quite tell. Wondering what kind of information makes the market react - does the sp go up on inside news of drilling results, anticipation of drilling getting closer is enough, etc.
thanks
Who needs a roller coaster ride or soap opera? This stock and message board has it all.
All I know is I expect to have some cash free up very soon and this is where it's going. Sometime, something will happen and it will be interesting at the least and lucrative at the most.
Very good :) I lost power soon after writing that - I should have stayed silent. It's back this morning and no harm done at my home, just a mess of small branches and leaves, and I can't find the lid to the sandbox... Good luck with your cable.

Upatnight: hope you are faring well in Eastham in this storm. Sounds like the outer Cape was due to get it worse than here in Falmouth. We have the usual flooding, downed limbs and power outages in the same places that usually get it. I cannot believe I've been having relatively consistent power all day, and I'm quite grateful.
FN
no doubt....LOL
what a world.
many thanks tamtam!
Where can I find the TEST board? May be right in front of me but I can't find it. Been interested in the Blue Angels since I was a kid....
thanks
FN
Hm, my nephew is now on the Fort McHenry.
FN
Well that was truly fun, thank you.
Thinking about the fact that it is ever more likely that oil could be approaching $100 a barrel this winter, the fun just continues.
Thanks for a good post to keep spirits up during a tedious time.
FN
Agreed,
but the last few weeks have seemed even more agonizingly slow than before. Must be the adrenaline letdown after the "dizzying pace". Hard to remember that the resignation and conference call was that recent.
enhance, per Merriam Webster: to increase or improve in value, quality, desirability, or attractiveness
The only thing I see is another reason to keep buying, especially at these prices.

I think it's the reverse - DOJ does the prosecuting, SEC will fine you or affect your trading ability. I'm far from an expert but that's what's come up in discussions I've had with a CPA acquaintance who used to do public company work for KPMG.
FN
Yes, all the more reason to want that one closed. Not trying to be negative here, the SEC dismissal this morning is indeed yet another positive step in the series that is occurring.
I am very positive about this stock, and wouldn't dream of selling any shares at this point. I'm a small holder, again my first time directly purchasing a stock and I'm also a single working parent. Any "play" money goes here - I'll continue buying as I can and the dd supports it.
I truly believe it will all come to a great fruition, just a matter of time.
Thanks again to all for the info.
FN
Seems to me the most critical investigation to dispose of is DOJ. While all three (SEC, DOJ and HLS) are negative, DOJ is the one at the criminal level and the most damaging, from what I understand.
With this SEC dismissal, is the SEC out of EHRC then - i.e. there wasn't anything else the SEC was looking at other than Childoue (sp?)?
Hopefully we'll see DOJ wrapped very soon.
FN
Thanks BB. What I'm wondering is if this somehow negative news - why would they dilute their stake? Is B1 not up to their expectations. Perhaps I'm missing something but this sounds like negative news.
FN
What does that mean/portend, "seek to dilute stake"?
Sounds negative re: JDZ overall. Anyone share their thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Agree with Spec29, who made this point about the March 07 financials:

A yahoo @ Yahoo messed up putting the figures...
into their system is all I can see.
I think that they messed up the Mar 07 financials and the Jun 07 financials reverse that (because of course two wrongs make a right). They are best disregarded and use the 10Q.

upatnight -
replying to your pm - I'm in Falmouth, near Woods Hole. Other side of the Cape. Work in mid-Cape. Love it here, especially in the winter!
you can email me if you want at msharring@comcast.net.
vizsla - wouldn't want you to feel alone -
I have 23,100.
I am working on that, figure I have 'til spring or so. At least my ave cost is .31, and most will be long by spring.
FN
Thank you. Agreed - my own dd and opinion based on research is the only way I feel comfortable. Thanks for the suggestion re: renewing it often.
I've been monitoring this board since I found it the beginning of the year, after checking out other boards and then realizing this is the most reliable and reasonable. I can't tell you how much I've learned about stocks, oil, politics and Nigeria. I read virtually all the links presented.
The first home I bought high and sold (moved out) low, the second one quite the opposite and I'm still in it - unknowningly I purchased just as prices began to skyrocket here on Cape Cod. I hope this stock is like my second home purchase. I have my exposure contained so I sleep well at night at any rate.
FN
I got in early this afternoon with a buy at .25. I've increased my stake a fair amount this week.
My position is small change compared to many of you I'm sure, but I'm very happy with what I have and happy to be here. It makes me smile that this is my first direct stock purchase ever - all else I have is in managed funds via 401k, etc. It is a fun ride so far. Can't wait for what comes next.
Best to everyone,
FN
