Yeah because Adam ran his own gene analysis and it was different right? It’s all science now junior. Good luck refuting this.
Funny you should say that. If I thought a significant event was about to take place and I wanted to make money without starting a stampede into the stock mis direction would be the proper ploy. While retail scratches their head as to why the stock is silent you are picking up another million shares during the week at discount prices. The fact that the opposite of what has always happened is going on now might be the best confirmation that we are very very close…
Seems so but always in the past has been the run up on anticipation and then share price suffering after. Maybe it’s good there’s no pre conference excitement. Under promise and over deliver. Drop a bomb for once!
Huh, sounds like someone is accusing Missling of fraud and they put it in writing. Think I’ll pass it on to the company.
Absolutely bush league. Are you really surprised by this after all we’ve experienced in the past? Not the way to run a “Public” company.
So simple yet so hard for this company. Just praying the results from the trials are so overwhelmingly good that they need no interpretation.
Much like your posts, expect nothing from the investors day presentation. Missling is incapable of any surprises. Just a plodder who gets paid way too much to do his job.
I think that is Misslings M O and exactly why the stock is lagging. In spite of showing promising results I believe Wall Street thinks the Alzheimer’s trial is too small and FDA won’t grant approval until a larger trial is completed. I know Missling is counting on correlating Parkinson’s and Rett data but it won’t be enough. This could well be 3-5 years to approval and by then the playing field could vastly change. I think this gets bought out in the $50/ share range within a year. Probably a good thing to let a larger more experienced entity take the reins and try to expedite approvals if they can. Missling undershot the runway and I think he sees the handwriting on the wall. If you believe this is wrong then ask yourself why the price continues( and will continue to languish) if Wall Street believes him. Should have moved up with SAVA but didn’t. At least their trial will be large enough to either receive or be denied approval based on the number of participants.
Absolutely great news? Not sure what you’re on but get me some please. Only good news is Missling gets absolutely torched if he doesn’t deliver.
Misdirection play. This closes green today. Just shaking whatever shares they can.
Pretty obvious Missling is staying the course with exaggerated timelines and data release. Flat out lying about Excellence. He has learned nothing from his past mistakes and I do not trust him. This is nothing more than a smoke screen. I’m out.
Anyone who would vote yes on the options package is nuts. If anything Missling should take a $1 for his salary until this proves out or not. . We have zero support in the marketplace and it is killing us. Any real CEO would tie his options to an earn out provision. The only good news is the institutional investors are getting hammered as well and may just decide to deny his option package.
Still can’t shake the disaster of the last Rett results. Waited forever to report them and then teed the stock up for the shorts and Fuerstein with poorly prepared vague reporting. I think even though the analysts see the potential of the drug they don’t have faith in Misslings ability to lead. He has one shot with the Alzheimer’s data. Cannot be vague or misleading in any way. Before you say the data will speak for itself, just remember that’s exactly what the Rett data was supposed to do. Hope he gets the help he needs to properly button things up before releasing the results.
Blindsided? No, they were unprepared. How many times has this happened before-too many to not expect the same attacks. These press releases need to be as airtight as possible without question. Even then they’ll attack but give them as little ammunition as possible. They are simply not learning from prior mistakes.
It is hard to imagine anyone more qualified as far as Rett syndrome. I found myself wondering why the company didn’t have Kaufmann lead the cc segment regarding trial results. He was on the call but never said a word.
Bingo. Missling is great in his field of expertise and has taken us a long way for sure. Now it’s time to hand the reins over to someone else. No shame in that. Exactly the opposite. He should be proud of his achievements but wise enough to know when to step back. As I’ve said before make him chairman of the board and find a dynamic President to finish this journey.
The spread on most of those trades was a penny. This stock has giant spreads when selling to retail. Just another observation that made me think it was tutes buying.
What you are all missing is we shouldn’t have to be defending anything. For 6 years Missling has been attacked at every turn by those who know what we possess. In spite of that he constantly invites these attacks by consistently issuing vague and misleading press releases. HE HAS HAD EVERY opportunity to learn from this and still we struggle and keep losing value. It’s a business with products but the service side sucks. Cannot survive like that. Make him chairman of the board and find a savvy replacement. Duncan’s actions reflect disappointment and are bordering on a vote of no confidence. He has reason to question now. Time for a change and soon.
Don’t give a rats #%ss about the street either but AF wiped out 150,000,000 of our market cap with a few tweets. You seem to think this is no big deal and you couldn’t be more wrong. Got to correct any misinformation and do it soon in a very public way. Can’t believe we go through this same crap virtually every time we have something good to say. Missling should have anticipated this response. Happens every time.
AF has just called Missling a liar and a fraud. He must respond to that. This is no time to disappear. Say what you want about SAVA CEO but he would come right back at Fuerstein and not let this stand. Enough is enough.
I don’t believe for a minute that Missling manipulated anything. The fact is he is not the right person to lead this company. Great scientist and has done a wonderful job with the economics but his time is past. It may be a language barrier or the fact that I feel he sometimes misses what concerns the analysts and doesn’t explain or refute things strongly enough. This company is about to be scooped up for nothing . We will be bought out for $40/ share and he won’t be able to stop it. Not the worst scenario but worth ten times that much. If we find the right CEO this will bounce big time. Time to make the switch.
They know what this means . My guess is they shake this hard today early and buying comes in later on.
“I would never belong to a club that would have me for a member.” GM
Not talking about the past. Talking about the present and the future. Fact is you don’t know what the next outcome is do you? Every time someone guarantees something can’t miss they’re being disingenuous. Until we know for sure you’re really just guessing. It’s why they play the game. What has bothered me the most is the incredibly amateurish way he has handled these delays. Not exactly the actions of a master of the universe.
Wow, thought this was a discussion board. How about we abandon all critical thinking and give Missling absolute power? Worked out well for Madoff, Enron and Theranos investors. Without questioning his actions and those of the company we lose what I consider a critical balance. As for George, yes he has brought to light many pertinent things but also relentlessly pumped the stock invoking Murphy’s Law every 4 days for two years now. Glad he’s giving it a break. Maybe we can actually get some news now.
The fact of the matter is if he simply complied with his own forecast and released data by year end this would have moved up and even though the market is correcting be at a much higher price. He did us all a disservice by missing that deadline and the downward spiral has intensified because of it. If a class action suit is filed you may be right about it sticking this time. Careless on his part and I think he’s getting that message loud and clear.
Aside from the market drop this is a vote of NO confidence in Missling. Becoming apparent that SAVA will beat Anavex to market with its Alzheimer’s drug. Missling’s words carry no weight with anyone until he delivers. This ship keeps drifting farther and farther away. We need a new CEO who values transparency and can deliver the goods.
I think some funds have had it with Missling and are moving on. There is absolutely no reason he could not have given an update explaining where we’re at by the end of 2021. He has been given everything he asked for and so far not delivered on his own projected timelines . Continued silence will spell failure to most investors. Could not have handled this more poorly.
One thing is for sure. Missling never fails to disappoint with his predictions. It is now the norm rather than the exception. This is not how a responsible CEO acts. In my opinion he has left himself open to lawsuits if he doesn’t deliver soon. They may wind up being baseless but will nevertheless temporarily, I hope, tank the stock. Extremely disappointed that he would not understand this. At the very least we had better get some kind of update tomorrow.
No one has called him on the delays and I believe at some point a large investor will pull out because of it. Retail does not have enough pull to exert any real pressure on him but losing the support of a large fund would send a message. I’m amazed he’s been given this much leeway considering all the deadlines he’s missed. We are headed for a reckoning one way or the other.
Great analogy. Now imagine you meet your friend 4 more times for dinner and each time you arrive later and later. The last time you call him 5 minutes before you’re supposed to be there and say you can’t make it. Your friend says we’re done doing this because you have a pattern of being late and are at best inconsiderate and at worst disingenuous or flat out lying to him. Would make you wonder, wouldn’t it?
Why would the CEO of any company continually create expectations for the release of trial data and then miss those deadlines repeatedly? Can’t wrap my head around this. Entirely unnecessary and damaging to his credibility. Why not just say nothing specific and wait. For someone with his background in finance it doesn’t make sense.
Read that too. So Medicare is instituting one of the largest ever increases in part B premium to subsidize that failed dangerous POS drug from Biogen. Time for lawsuits . This is not going to fly.
The only reason I am optimistic about this stock is the gradual price increase recently and the fact that the institutional investors are staying in. Retail always suffers as far as information is concerned but not the big boys. Without being specific I think Missling has conveyed to them the news is coming soon and it will be good, maybe even great. Hope I’m right but in any event we should know within 5 weeks.
Great post. We are still climbing that hill but when we cross the summit look out!
I think you are spot on. The true believers here have absolutely no objectivity when it comes to Missling. He has never been seriously challenged about his lack of transparency and constant delays over forecasted trial data. Maybe he’s done everything right and all is great and maybe it’s not. We won’t know until somebody with some influence asks the right questions and demands some answers and he clears the air by issuing an update. Would love to blissfully float around thinking everything is great but that is a dangerous way to invest. We deserve an update NOW.
True statement. Oh look the trial data got pushed back again…. and again and again… consistently missing his own projected dates. No matter what the reason it doesn’t feel right or normal for someone of Misslings background and experience to continually do this.
Avatar results by end of 2021? I’ll take that bet. Nothing until next year. If Missling is consistent at anything it’s delaying trial results. Hi
Missling is constantly given a pass during conference calls. He is fed a string of softball questions and responds with canned answers. No one ever asks the tough potentially embarrassing questions such as why he constantly gives false data release dates. He needs to be confronted about his lack of transparency. I’m beginning to think something really stinks here. Not sure what but it doesn’t feel right.
Not surprising at all. What we’re seeing is a continuation of a pattern where the CEO consistently misses self imposed deadlines which hurt his credibility. Nothing new there. Not sure why he continues this pattern. Not good for the share price as shorts expect this behavior now.
