Selling Apple calls. Nice gains. Waiting for the next buying op.
But I thought this was zooming today because tutes were buying friday?
Out of options. Nice gain. Looks weak compared to market today.
Agreed. Now if they can get a drug tested they have a communication channel. My skepticism is as strong as ever.
Good luck to all.
And sometimes you get the bear. Looks like a call profit taking day on several stocks. Plus one THAT!
Damn, I’ll have to wait for the next stimulus check, I already sent some of the first one to the NRA.
The soft target angle got me out of brick and mortar retailer investments like JCP and into Amazon under $500. Still not time to sell that.
Good luck to anyone buying this.
I like to go to malls occasionally, but one day I realized that if I don’t find exact what I’m looking for at a mall I can get EXACTLY what I want on Amazon and I can shop in my lounging pants sipping my coffee.
At some point I started just shopping at Amazon instead of wasting gas. Then two days later a guy knocks on my door and hands me my purchases. That was before the pandemic reality set in.
Malls are slowly dying.
Nobody wants to shop in a disease infested soft target. Malls are dying out.
Not to mention their stores were dreary and dull to be in for the last few years. Every time I went in one I just wanted to go somewhere else and got to the point I didn’t even go in them anymore. They completely failed to adapt to the trend toward online retailing and away from malls.
Very poorly run company. They killed their selves with stupidity and debt.
Your JC Penny analogy is meaningless. They were destroyed by holding onto a failed business model when they should have recognized and adapted to the trend towards online shopping and away from malls.
Apple doesn’t have a failed brick and mortar business model and sells probably most of their products online.
Apple is also morphing into a services and healthcare heavy business model. I’m constantly amazed at the number of investors that are totally oblivious to that.
But I’ll keep my eye out for that end of the world thing-a-ma-jig.
Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an interview that a coronavirus vaccine might be widely available as soon as January.
A drug that could prevent COVID-19 infections might be here earlier than expected if everything goes according to plan.
Yes. A bunch have been watching this for so long some have died of old age and stroked out. The methods of this company have never changed although they have fine tuned their ability to release perfectly time fluff bomb press releases that make it seem like they’re making progress. If you haven’t been watching for years it’s understandable to be drawn in and become newly minted bag holders.
Meanwhile real drug companies solve the problems NNVC pretends to be working on.
Same old song and dance.
I agree.
If a cure is reported in the mainstream media along with a report of Apple solving the supplier issue they’re gonna have the bears bent over in a compromising position illustrating how technical analysis is right until it’s wrong.
News can often destroy technical analysis. Of course then we’ll say oh look, resistance is broken, the new trend is up making technical analysis correct again in a different direction. (LOL)
An old time trader once told me “never underestimate the possibility that something good will happen”.
Now we wait. Margarita time....good luck to everyone.
US biotech company claims it's found antibody to block virus
A California-based biotech company claims it has found an antibody that completely blocks the new coronavirus.
Sorrento Therapeutics said its STI-1499 antibody stopped Covid-19 from entering 100 per cent of healthy human cells in their experiments, Fox News reports.
The antibody is one of several the biotech company is planning to combine for a collaboration with Mt Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
Sorrento said in a press release it could produce up to 200,000 doses of the antibody in a month - a timeline that would see the drug available before a Covid-19 vaccine is expected to be out.
Sorrento has filed for emergency FDA approval in the US but is yet to receive green light from the agency.
Following the announcement, Sorrento's stocks shot up by nearly 220 per cent.
"We want to emphasise there is a cure,' Sorrento's CEO, Dr Henry Ji, told Fox News.
"There is a solution that works 100 per cent. If we have the neutralising antibody in your body, you don't need the social distancing. You can open up a society without fear."
The company has, however, only managed to test the antibody in lab tests on human cells so it cannot say it has blocked the infections in the human body.
The company claims the antibody blocks the virus from its primary doorway, a receptor on the surface of human cells: the ACE2 receptor.

Rut roe! This could seriously hinder NNVC’s plan to scam a new crop of stuckholders.
Now the report is they did file for bankruptcy after all. Down huge after hours.

There’s that old square strength. Excellent company.
Another thing to remember is apple tends to have a good handle on supply chain issues. Last year the analysts were calling for a serious decline in handset sales based on supplier reports, when earnings came out they had actually increased sales because of other supplier sources they had arranged for. This has happened numerous times.
Today’s opening downward spike was based on a Chinese supplier issue. Apple has already hinted at moving this supply source.
Your cup and handle could indeed play out.

CNBC's Josh Lipton reports on plans from the iPhone chip manufacturer to open a plant in the U.S.
Not so much...
UP 34%! Look at that. Congrats to buyers.
Nothing wrong with practicing making money!
JCP Avoided bankruptcy with a huge interest payment.
ROFL! Nope. I'm gonna say that's totally incorrect.
And the Death Star killed JCP. Well severely damaged it. They file for bankruptcy today. Stock halted.
Part of the reason for that is their stores suck, I've been in one recently, it sucked.
They need new management and they need to get their asses online.
And thank God the death star was there when I needed to get contactless delivery.
<Cue star wars imperial march music>
Pre market selloff lost 3 bucks almost instantly. Should be a fun day. LOL
Aha. That's probably why Apple is supposed to be about to move facilities out of China. Makes sense.
It sounds like you know what you're doing for sure. Good trading.
Ok it looks like this is based on the foxconn report of 90% profit loss in the first Q yoy. They also said in the report they’re back to work and second Q will be better. The decline will be short lived in that case, take gains fast. That’s my opinion.
Good luck.
Yep. Some times you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. Should be interesting.
Yeah, not gonna happen today.
More than likely it will push through the impressive amount of HADS (hilarious apple derangement syndrome) and make new highs but I could be wrong again.
