Anyone else think the gap up was the headfake and we're going to see another bloodbath?
What was CEMJQ? Had a strong flashback when i Just passed a sports car with license plate "CEMJQ 1" and wondering if the dude made a bunch on the stock or if I'm crazy.
Nice! I got in at .24 and out at .285. Playing small though so I didn't pocket much, but I'll take it!
Just saw a couple prints go off on DND well under bid. Is that signal for a big upward move limited to the penny stocks? :)
Sold 15 of my 25 $13 calls on DNDN for 1.14 from .82. Riding the other 10 for a bit longer (maybe even...gulp...overnight)
It's good to be back!
Funny how I sat there watching it at 12.70-13.00 most of the morning saying "I feel another big drop coming. I'm going to wait til then and then buy the $13 calls." Only after it started dropping did it occur to me that I should have played the $10 puts at like 15cents. They're now over 50cents. D'oh. And I feel another drop coming, so I think I screwed it up again.
DNDN just grabbed some $13 calls. Let's hope that was one last big shake and then a huge bounce.
" I am going to go to bathroom. Do my thing and come back and make a decision."
This is exactly the type of insight that I was missing out on during my absence!
So glad to be back...
Thanks. Yeah, for years (until my job prior to this one created that policy that prohibited me from buying and selling the same stock within 6 months or whatever) I supplemented my income nicely from trading. If I go back to that style I'm confident I can build the bankroll back up again. Slow and steady, as they say.
How's everything with you and the 28 kids?
Thanks! Saw you hurt your back, how's it feeling?
Hello everyone!
Well after a good year and a half+ away from the board, I'm at least ready to dip my toes back in the water. I've spoken with a couple of you over IM since then, but was still too scarred from totally screwing up my trading "career" to make any trades or post at all. Recently I started occasionally checking the board again, and started to remember how much fun it was here. Not just the trading, but the camaraderie, etc. While I was at the beach on vacation last week, I read most of the posts, and it was funny to see virtually the same conversations going on as when I was last posting. ("Grabbed some ABCD at .37 and sold at .40, it's now at .65", etc)
I decided to start with a small bankroll and see if I could do what I did well for years prior to my meltdown, and that's trade occasionally while I'm working a normal job.
Did my first trade today, and just like old times, made a few bucks and sold WAY too early. Got in CBR at 2.80 and out at 3.15. It's like I never left!
Anyway, I wanted to thank all of you who asked about me both publicly and privately, and report that I am doing well and am looking forward to easing my way back into trading.
I hope you're all doing well!
-Paul
This is hilarious:
"Mr. Tepper keeps a brass replica of a pair of testicles in a prominent spot on his desk, a present from former employees. He rubs the gift for luck during the trading day to get a laugh out of colleagues."
Thanks. Spent the last 2 days playing in 18 inches of snow. I had a contest with my neighbor to see who could throw their kid further. It's a lot more fun than it probably sounds like...
I'm kind of on trading hiatus right now. Haven't even really looked at the board much lately, but just happened to check and saw my name. the other day I checked and there were like 600+ new posts, so I'm obviously missing a lot. Hopefully you all are ending the year with a bang.
In case I don't pop back on here before the weekend, I hope you all have a great holiday(s).
I deleted it, and look to the right of the screen when you try to post or reply to any message. It's black and white. Sorry this seems to have gotten out of hand while I was gone, but you posting the same thing on 4 boards is SPAM, by definition.:
TOU Reminders - All Boards
Spam: Do not post the same or similar message to more than TWO (2) boards within a calendar day. More than that is considered spam. Spam posts will be removed and repeated and/or egregious offenses may result in suspension of your posting privileges.
You're pretty smart :)
OT: Yeah, i agree. It's not bad enough that there was a nutjob who decided to ambush police, but the friends/family who helped him, as if they thought it was okay for him to do that. Some people are so screwed up.
Shoot, had to walk away for a second and missed the bottom. A niec bounce from there, but I think I'm going to end up taking a niec loss.
RBTI still getting killed. I have some from .07. Whoops...
Did you get out? back down to .074 now. you getting back in or adding?
I've done so incredibly bad this year on options that I've thought about doing the opposite of what seemed logical on options. I had an order to buy calls when you started buying puts because it seemed like puts HAD to be the way to go. Never pulled the trigger though...
He's been in huge for years, I think he was looking to add.
Shaun, IMO that is the single most important thing that you can do. having the TA gagged eliminates all trust. Allowing us to keep an eye on the O/S count would do wonders for investor confidence. If you reduce the A/S to a reasonable number and ungag the TA, you will have my full backing (not that you care...)
okay fair enough. usually i do sarcasm as :P It denotes sticking your tongue out and being goofy.
yeah, a smiley means happy, doesn't it? If you were being sarcastic you'd need a different "emoticon", I think.
I know, but the guy I responded to seemed excited to have volume. It's not the kind of volume we want.
Uhhh, someone just dumped 50,000 shares. That's not usually a good thing...
Whoops, I forgot about them. Editing my post now.
yeah there's a difference between someone posting something like "Hey, I know this is off-topic, but you may want to check out XYZ" and putting it on this board vs "XYZ is primed to RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!" And clicking on that person's history and seeing the same post on 32 other boards over while the price has gone from .02 to .78 or something and it's obviously totally irrelevant to this board.
Same to you and all here (except those dirty Canadians!). Enjoy the break, everyone!
Did your boat sink? :D
????? the TA has been gagged forever. We all knew the TA was gagged and have been asking for it to be ungagged. He confirmed that it is still gagged. Why is that all of a sudden so bad but it was fine for the last 3 years?
We appreciate your attempts so far, but just be careful you don't end up disappointing people by reducing the A/S from 12Billion to 1Billion or something useless like that. If you keep the A/S more than a couple hundred million, people will have no choice but to assume the plan is to dilute back to the Authorized cap.
And also, I may have missed it, but is the TA still gagged, or will they be allowed to updated shareholders on the O/S count when asked?
Why do you think we were all so happy with the Paris Hilton phase? :D
LOL, if enough people bought this, it would likely fly pretty quickly. Not a bag fan of passing the bag to someone else though. I'd prefer to let it rise legitimately.
yeah, because I bought the .01s that were the ask, and the remainder of my order is now the bid. Sorry for the confusion!
No, the b/a was .009 x .01, I bought the .01s
$350 on top of what I already have is nothing.
Oh man, that sucks, sorry. I'm only half paying attention lately, so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything obvi
ous.
What's the deal on OWVI? Just playing it as a normal bouncer, or is there somethign else to it?
