Conan the Barbarian - Producer 2009 treatment/outline
does anyone know what a treatment/outline is?
I will tell you... Conan the Barbarian.. They have the name with whats her face.
They don't have a clue as to what they want to do so they start with cocktails and come up with ideas and place them in some form of outline. When they finish all the alcohol and coke they fall over. Then a few weeks later they try to pawn it off on a few newbie writers telling them,, they will be rich IF WE use your script.. But needless to say they take that newbies script and sent it out as half done and have someone like Rocky work on it.. And Rocky yells HAY ADRIAN BRING ME ONE OF MY SHOTS AND A BEER, DIT YOU DRINK MY BEER? He spills his beer on it during a football game and tells everybody he's working on it for months.. He needs to get over these brain farts but he will have the next $250M Box Office guaranteed. Meanwhile they advance him some money to rewrite the beer soaked script... AND 48 months later hes about 65 years old and says hay guys here is your script back and sorry about the beer stains but I am getting too old for this crap..
Thats what a Treatment/Outline is....
If what they say is good and they release financial for the first quarter of 08 we just might get noticed. I am positive that they have to get them done if they have any chance to be recognized by the financiers out there. I will wait for the financials which usually arrive 40 - 45 days after the quarter ends.. May 15th. and if they apply for penny status which should be huge.. Who knows?????
88 Minutes will be out in the theaters in April.. Saw a ad for it on Scifi last night... Is this our 50M bonus time??? I am praying!!
Just shy of the line in the sand again???

“SOCK IT TO STAN!”
Hi Heroes,
Hey, remember when I used to write my oh-so-forgettable "Stan’s Soapbox" columns in all the mighty Marvel Comics years ago? Well, I figure if I’m gonna be spewing my usual words of wonderment, wit and wackiness at you again, I’ll need a new name for this soon-to-be-classic column, so, unless any of you can come up with a better one, I figure I’ll call it "Sock It To Stan" and let the chips fall where they may— as long as it’s not on my head!
Now that we have a name for this, the most widely read column on the Internet (among my family, anyway) I’d like to tell you a little known fact about my favorite subject—me. I’m sure you’re all familiar with my various movie cameos—and if you’re not, I may have to ask you to leave this column—but I’ve just received a promotion! Instead of a humble cameo, I’m now gonna actually do the narration for a new animated web cartoon by my ol’ buddy, Aaron Sowd! It’s called "MasterMinds" (in my honor, no doubt) and doing the narration reminds me of the days when I used to narrate those great old "Spidey and His Amazing Friends" cartoons on TV, remember? If you do remember, you’re probably too old to be reading this, so go back to your rockin’ chair and give the younger guys a break! (Yeah, I’m a great one to talk that way, right?) Anyway, O True Believers, if you wanna see ol’ Stan in action in a cartoon again, just click on the links below and look for the one of me narrating my brave little heart out.
By the way, regarding all your demands for an "Ask Stan" blog –well, a couple of demands, anyway. Well, not exactly demands, more like suggestions. Okay, actually, just maybe one afterthought. I’d really like to do a question-answering blog like that but hey, who’s got the time? You think I’ve nothing better to do than answer your questions? You think I haven’t got a life? You want answers, hit Wikipedia. I don’t go around asking you questions, do I? Although, of course, it isn’t fair to deny the waiting world of fandom all of my knowledge and expertise.
So, as soon as I get the time and can convince some poor underpaid slob to help me with the answers, I’ll hit you with an "Ask Stan" blog—but you better keep the questions easy, hear? Although, who cares? I can always Google the answers!
Well, that’s enough intellectual erudition for one column. I now turn you loose to rejoin the real world while I once again concentrate on solving the myriad problems of an ever-grateful human race.
See ya soon. Same time. Same place. Same incomprehensible insanity.
Excelsior!

CONDOR CONTEST WINNERS
Hi, heroes!
It's ol' Stan bringin' a little excitement and erudition into your lives once more!
For starters, you can stop holdin' your breath now-- the "Condor Trivia Contest" is officially over and we finally have our winner and runner-ups.
Y'know, it amazes me how many of you must be related to Sherlock Holmes. All of you hardly missed a trick and a whole caboodle of you cleverly observed every little detail. But, hey, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, after all, you're part of Lee's Loyal Legion, right?
As you can imagine, it was tough picking a winner because so many answers were really cool, but the one we finally zeroed in on as our main man is-- eagle-eyed Tobias Mustang Lee Moreno, and the two runners-up are Ian Hartman and James Phillips.
Congratulations to all three and, of course, congratulations to all of you who were courageous enough to vie with all the countless other Lee Legionnaires. Never forget, our contests may have winners but no POW! Patriot will ever be a loser!
So fear not, O Keepers of the Flame, there'll be another fantastic contest on the way sooner than you can say "The time is now! Stand up for Pow!" And next time, now that I've seen how smart you all are, I'll make it even harder!
Gotta close now. Just thought of another Pow! rhyme and wanna lay it on you before I forget---
That's it for now!
Keep pullin' for Pow!
Excelsior!
Stan
First they were never a PR mill and why you say that is just amazing. They are the worst of the worst when it comes to full disclosure. You need to read their quarterly reports and figure it out for yourself what is going on. Thats where many of us get the majority of the information well before it becomes public. They are just the worst of the worst..

Sylvester Stallone's latest movie offering 'Rambo' has been snubbed by British cinema giant Odeon - after it vowed not to show the film on any of the chain's screens.
The movie chain announced on Friday it would not be showing Stallone's action movie, the fourth film about musclebound war veteran John Rambo, disappointing fans in the UK.
Odeon insists the decision was made due to "commercial reasons" - but reports attribute the rare move to an alleged feud between the cinema chain and distributors Sony.
An Odeon spokesman says: "Owing to commercial reasons, Odeon has made the decision not to screen the film Rambo across its cinemas in the UK."

AccordiEmmett/Furla Films has renewed their nonexclusive agreement with Millenum Films to produce at least eight pics a year budgeted in the $25 million-$65 million range over the next three years. According to Variety, the companies have completed more than 25 films over the last five years. From George Furla, “Our relationship with Avi [Lerner] and Millennium is truly multidimensional. Not only are we able to cash-flow pre-production and development costs, we can also fully fund the negative costs of entire projects. By doing this, we are able to spread the risk and can thus produce more projects together.”Tapping into its private equity backing, Emmett/Furla has provided money for both development and production, including development funds. Outside of its deal with Millenium, the company has provided partial and complete production funding for such films as “King of California” and “The Tenants.”
Emmett/Furla is a wholly-owned subsidiary of public company Family Room Entertainment (FMLY).

Judge delays setting trial in Clinton fraud case
But accuser begins seeking sworn testimony from high-profile witnesses

A judge in Los Angeles yesterday allowed Hollywood mogul Peter F. Paul to begin taking sworn testimony in his $17 million fraud suit against former President Bill Clinton, but a technicality delayed establishment of a trial date.
California Superior Court Judge Aurelio N. Munoz ruled Paul's legal team can begin seeking depositions from a host of big names – including Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton – that allegedly were witnesses to an effort by the Clintons and top Democratic leaders to extract millions of dollars from Paul in illegal donations and then cover it up.
Munoz is expected to set the trial date at an April 25 hearing. He said yesterday in court he could not set the date, because defendant Jim Levin, an aide to President Clinton, must be served notice again. Levin did not respond to the original complaint, and Paul's legal counsel at the time – the Washington watchdog Judicial Watch – did not file a notice of default to verify that fact before filing an amended complaint.
The complaint says Bill Clinton promised to promote Paul's Internet entertainment company, Stan Lee Media, in exchange for stock, cash options and massive contributions to his wife's 2000 Senate campaign. Paul contends he was directed by the Clintons and Democratic Party leaders to produce, pay for and then join them in lying about footing the bill for an August 2000 Hollywood gala and fundraiser.
Paul attorney Colette Wilson told WND she has 30 days to service notice to Levin, and he will have 30 days to respond.
Levin is a key figure in the case, Wilson said, because he helped conceive the Hollywood event then contacted Paul to underwrite the costs. Paul claims Levin later was directed by President Clinton to sabotage Stan Lee Media by convincing Paul's Japanese partner – in violation of a confidentiality agreement – to incorporate a new company instead of investing another $5 million with Paul. The loss of that badly needed capital ultimately caused Stan Lee Media to fold, Paul maintains..........continues

The House That Stan Built sending scads of costumed heroes your way.
by Jeff Giles | February 20, 2008
Last December, Stan Lee promised Collider that every "important Marvel character" would soon be getting its own film. Yesterday, the publisher's fourth-quarter 2007 earnings report made it clear that Lee wasn't kidding.
The report -- again, helpfully picked up by Collider -- contains a bunch of boring numbers and terms like "total net sales" and "total operating income" -- but it also spills a few interesting details about what Marvel's got cooking on its front burner for stuff like movies, animated projects, and Broadway musicals. Corrie actor's role in new Rambo film
EXCLUSIVE CORRIE ACTOR JOINS SLY
By Felicia Bromfield
Corrie fans are in for a shock when mechanic Chris Collins pops up this week as a ruthless killer in the new £25million Rambo movie.
Actor Matthew Marsden, a Weatherfield grease monkey 10 years ago, will burst on to the big screens on Friday as a sniper.
Matt, 34 - best-known for sleeping with his Corrie boss's wife Sally Webster - is amazed that he landed the Rambo IV role playing alongside Hollywood veteran Sly Stallone.
The West Midlands-born actor, who now lives in California, told The People: "Sometimes I think to myself 'I can't believe I've just done Rambo with Sly Stallone'. He's a total legend and I grew up watching his movies like Rocky and Rambo."
The married dad of two plays a sniper called Schoolboy who befriends the hero John Rambo during a mission in Burma to rescue Christian missionaries being tortured by the Burmese army.
Matt said: "I was the first person to be cast, apart from Sly of course. I got a phone call from my agent saying 'Will you go and read for this role? It's for Rambo'. I said 'Are you serious?' "
Matt originally auditioned for a smaller role but Stallone, 61, who stars and directs the film, chose him for the bigger part and the pair struck up an unlikely friendship through a mutual love of boxing.

During the year ended June 30, 2006, these executive officers received compensation totaling $1,271,862 under these contractual arrangements. During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, FMLY received payments under certain agreements, in relation to producer fees, for certain of FMLY’s affiliations with third party film producers/financiers. Through June 30, 2006, FMLY paid to George Furla $549,819 and Randall Emmett $722,043.
FMLY contracted Stanley Tepper, as the Acting, Executive VP Finance and Accounting/CFO through, AGSInc., business financial entertainment accounting production service consulting company. AGSInc., received contracted consulting fees for six months ended December 31, 2007 and 2006 of $115,212 and $57,500 respectively. For the year ended June 30, 2007 and 2006 AGSInc. received of $156,565 and $106,466 respectively. Going Concern
As shown in the accompanying financial statements, the Company has incurred recurring losses from operations, and as of December 31, 2007, its total liabilities exceeded its total assets by $3,373,815. These factors raise substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern. Management has instituted a cost reduction program that included a reduction in staffing, general overhead and related fringe costs and has instituted more efficient management techniques. In 2007, the Company relocated its offices in order to reduce rental costs. In addition, the Company has movie projects in various stages of development, which should generate additional cash flow over the next several months. Additionally, the Company has been able to obtain additional capital through the issuance of debt or equity. The Company has an ongoing requirement for additional capital investment, and historically management has been able to obtain additional financing to meet its working capital needs. The accompanying financial statements do not include any adjustments that might be necessary if the Company is unable to continue as a going concern.
I trust you because you are a guru... And we have seen it over and over again. I am positive that they structured it that the box office needs to make about 50M in the first so many weeks maybe 5 or 6. Then their cut off..
Rambo will go on to make 100M possibly 130M and all the financiers will make big bucks.. We are just a pawn in the big world... Since 02 I have been in this... Rambo.. was our only chance....
Where is Paris Hilton when we need a spike..... herpes and all..
All of our promises are fading! Not going to be any spike anytime soon!
The reason it was sold out is because it was never released to the theaters. Ever hear of hush money??? I have and if you hush up we don't need to pay anybody anything except to ourselves.. Don't ever underestimate those hoodlums.. Douglas and whats her name gets paid a percentage of everything and everybody else just gets their salary. So why do they need to do a wide release? When they will sell/rent the daylights out of it and the likes of our guys get a fat fee they take 60% of... Hope I explained it well enough. I, nuf said.

Stallone signs deal for two more films
A J Sokalner / Rex Features
Sylvester Stallone has signed a multimillion-pound deal to direct and star in two new action films.
The actor will join forces with Rambo producers Danny Dimbort, Avi Lerner and Trevor Short of Nu Image/Millennium Films following the success of his recent Rambo and Rocky sequels.
He told the Hollywood Reporter: "The past year and a half of working with Avi, his partners Danny and Trevor and his film family has been nothing but a high point for me and my career and an extremely rewarding experience. Avi is a real gentleman and a man of his word."
Stallone's 2006 film Rocky Balboa grossed $70 million, while the fourth installment in the Rambo franchise took $18.2 million in its opening weekend in the US last month.
The 61-year-old is said to be looking at scripts for further movies in both series, despite previously insisting that the recent sequels would be the last.
He is also separately working on a remake of 1974 vigilante drama Death Wish.
Studio boss Harvey Weinstein recently said he wants to make a fifth Rambo movie before Stallone gets too old.
More Stripperella From Lee
Thursday, February 07, 2008
By: Ryan Ball
Comic-book icon Stan Lee and his POW! Ent. have entered into an agreement with digital entertainment company uclick to bring all-new adventures of Stripperella to mobile phones. The installments will be available on uclick's GoComics mobile comic book reader at GoComics.com, and through all major carriers. The property started as Spike TV animated series, which starred Pamela Anderson as the voice of Erotica Jones, a motorcycle-riding exotic dancer who leads a dual life as a masked crime fighter.
“The now-legendary Stripperella has always been the most fabulous and fantastic of females," Lee remarks, “so imagine my excitement at having this great opportunity to team up with a truly hip outfit like uclick to bring comicdom's most sensational superheroine back to her millions of fans, more exciting and more exotic than ever before.”
The look and attitude of Stripperella are getting revamped for the mobile phone venture. POW! Ent. has updated the buxom character's design, but she’ll still have her trademark curves and naughty, tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. For more information on this and other titles now available for mobile phones through GoComics, visit www.gocomics.com/comicbooks.

Comic Book Heroes
Q&A With Stan Lee
Matthew Kirdahy, 02.07.08, 12:00 PM ET
What's it like seeing these heroes come to life in Hollywood after so many years on the pages?
Hard to believe. It's really amazing. Obviously I love it.
Wait 'til you see Ironman and Thor and Doctor Strange. They're working on all of them.
Did Robert Downey Jr. play the role of Ironman well?
I couldn't think of a better [actor]. He is not just good, he's perfect. He's a great actor and an intelligent guy, a nice guy. He loves the role. He really sank his teeth into it and I think you'll be amazed when you see his interpretation of Tony Stark.
I can't believe that there won't be new ones coming along.
So we're not done?
No, I don't think so. There are many wonderful writers and artists in the world. They're doing new things. Some of them just have to catch fire. I'm sure of that.
It's tough to come up with a new superpower, let's say. But there's always some new angle. I would think years ago, I would think 100 years ago, 200 years ago, people were saying, "Well, you can't write any more novels. Everything has been written. There's always something. Take, for example, television. All of a sudden, along comes J.J. Abrams and you get a show like Lost, which is a whole new way of doing a series. It's incredibly successful.
Then you get Heroes, where you have people that replicate the same superpowers that we've been writing about for years, but it's presented in a different way. And Heroes is incredibly popular and it's quite original, as was Lost. So there's always somebody who will come up with some angle that'll seem refreshing and new.
I wouldn't worry that all the ideas are taken.
