Hi Rose; With total=-9, calcified=-1 & non-calcified=-19 one calculates calcified plaque as 55% of the total.

Hi sts66; Disagree, V stops progression of calcified plaque is what data shows!
Same 1% reduction in calcified as in interim report. This final report seems to imply most (>50%) is calcified plaque! In plaque distribution by type in the report?
Hi Raf; typo corrected! The principal findings confuse by using first volume(for LAP) in mm3 and then give other data a % change from baseline.
So we do not know what the % changes are for the LAP but are give the changes for the other types of plaque. So for "total" plaque we have an 11% increase from baseline in the placebo arm and a 9& DECREASE in the V arm.
So we have regression in total plaque but insufficent info to say if the LAP actually regressed. Presumably additional info in paper allows that answer to be found/determined!

Hi Will; IF the 2 % change values for V and placebo are relative to baseline then we have regression of plaque and not just reduced progression. That is how I read the study, indeed AMRN needs to clarrify/correct as appropriate!
Hi raf; If placebo was up 107% and V lowered that by 17% then there is no regression only less progression! Do we have a semantics problem?
Hi rose; Yes, Hahn screwed up, he stated the 35 out of 100 as if it was ABSOLUTE risk when it was actually RELATIVE risk reduction; AND it was a rrr between two treatment arms(2 levels of plasma) not between a treatment arm and a placebo arm. So we still do not know how "good" it might be!!
Hi Rose; Grand Canyon splits. Don't know, but VERY different! LOL.
Retired 14 years, after 30 years with USACE taking care of DC drinking water. Worked as microbiologist and analytical chemist(GC-MS) and last 10 years as computer specialist(SCADA administrator). Best Wishes!
Hi Rose; As a crazy young guy I avoided the mules and jogged down the
trail to the bottom and walked back up the same day! By the time I got back to the top I was doing one breath per step! ;.)
Hi Bill; Thanks!
Hi joe; Yes as kids in the 50s and 60s we drove to many National Parks
for camping vacations in California!
Hi Bill; So who knows who the judges were in this case!?
Because there are true believers who believe what Trump says about HCQ;
I'm not one but my brother is!
Hi scxj; The ad says Call Your Doctor; that's a DTC ad!
Hi MrM; 7/24 I usually only do 1 or 2 weeks out with trading shares!
Hi MrM; I just sold a $7 Call, so probably YES!
Hi HK; There IS regression of Calcified plaque, just not likely statistically significant. See my post 285820.
Hi JL; Not completely correct; there is plaque reduction of the Calcified plaque. This was not reported correctly originally and I pointed that out to Budoff, for which he thanked me! It is shown correctly in this table!
Hi Kev; Death rate going down thanks to medical people. Deaths going up due to stupidity!
Hi Bio, No, the science says it's valuable! We just have to wait to see how valuable it is to the market once the issues(appeal and EU) are resolved!
Hi Cardio; I expect my Dr. does most electronically, I was a special case
since I had to go "shopping" for VASCEPA outside Kaiser! Thanks.
Hi Cardio; Not true, I got paper Rx from my Dr. for VASCEPA because
Kaiser would not fill it!
Hi Raf; Your "analysis" is called misuse of analogy! Apples and oranges!!
Hi LB; 6/16/2020
Hi LB; No, Georgia is not yet blue! ;.)
Hi sts66; And to clarify for everyone, O3's are made by algae and concentrated into fish oil by fish eating algae!
I paid $195 at CVS with coupon this month. Wife paid $50 for 3 bottles from Express Scripts from Medicare Advantage plan.
Hi sts66 Algae Omega-3 products ARE available; just google.
Hi HDG Actually Vascepa is a chemically modified(esterified) compound(EPA) derived from fish oil. Best Wishes!
Hi CaptBeer; Yes, I just converted 5000 shares.
Hi BB; Depends on age. CDC death rates for H1N1 ranged from 0.002% for very young to as high as 0.308% for very old.
Hi Raf; Thank you. But we won't know which model is "best" until it's over and even then there will be reasonable debates about why models failed or "passed".
Hi RoseMB; Thank you for doing the right thing! ;.)
Hi Raf; So 52% said they would get the flue shot, so of course LESS than
50% actually did(actual # not available yet, have not seen past year #s).
Estimate is that flue shot reduces risk 40-60%, see
https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/26/health/who-gets-flu-shot/index.html
And deaths every year is a big deal but its subject to "short attention span syndrome"!
Hi MrMain; Thank you for the reminder; how easily we forget! ;.)
Hi Raf; That's fine, but what does her model say?
Hi BioChica; Change "lot" to "most" is probably more likely!
