It was the ambition that rapidly expanding marketing is the scary part, because of the setbacks because of the heavy spending without a well defined strategy to move on; did mgmt says something to that effect? NO. Now the more scary part is digging a bigger hole in the balance sheet where it just got repaired.
My thinking is that IF mgmt is thoughtful enough to tell the investment world that Amarin is still a very good investment with an enormously great drug for a lot of benefit to great health.

Look at GM this morning and tell me otherwise it is not a message from the Management that they get it : it is worthwhile to invest in Nikola or other EV technology disregarded that they do have EV coming out to the market to compete!?

There is a lot of room to cut expenses in this environment the company is in, why not do it to signal to BP that AMRN is ready for a close partnership which also ensures profitability and longevity of the company !

It seems very possible that BP should start with the approach of investing in an agree upon percentage in AMRN stocks and join hands to establish major market share penetration, of course in a lower price point , in such situation AMRN minus sales department would have been profitable in day one .
That alone will calm shareholder and SP will renounce to level that should reflect the more realistic evaluation ..... with improvement and more EU development and add all other regions of ROW...... then it will be up to the partner BP to further discuss merger by then the BP partner is already making ton of money with its current ownership....
So you have it if JT is concern about MAXIMIZE STOCK OWNERSHIP BENEFITS .

Free Cash Flow vs Profitable are two different matters, they need to get leaner and trim out the fat, let go the sales people, since the existing channels allow for distribution and maybe even better if people are more incentive-wise as the current dire state of the company.
Now is imperatively do the right thing or else the SP going to stay in the tank for a long while. Absolutely necessary to carry out in a sense of urgency.
To me the US market is not lost yet, any business of scale with our current margin can make very good profit even with margin erosion, remember we still have EU, China and ROW !!
All legal moves aside, management needs to show/make the company profitable to allow itself more options to move forward before the EU approval and strategies finalized .
By Barebone the sales force immediately, maintain the existing infrastructure concurrently partial the DTC function to certain markets only, like direct mail.
Free Cash Free positive is priority one ! Otherwise SP is depressed because Short will keeps it down with dilution fear.
Amarin is still the market leader, and by maintaining a lean structure there is ample room for pricing elasticity until a US partner is needed or sold out the US market .
Management completely f-up this for the 'benefit of shareholder' (pun intended), it is time to be flexible and level headed.
