should have gone further out with my options, but got that one last dip that prevented me from rolling out to december.

whats interesting is, we have commercial traders dumping short interest this past week as we got that raid down to the 200 dma in gold and silver, which could be construed as bullish as harvey organ points out here:

however short interest is as high as it has been this year, like last february before we saw the three month onslaught in the metals march 1st.

it is my opinion that the reason for such the high short readings is just the bankers reaction to the soaring open interest in the metals from the large and small spec's trying to keep prices in check...open interest is soaring, volume is coming in...and we have a few things working in favor of higher prices....

1. seasonality, historically now through march is a good time for metals.
2 an obama re-electrion which will drive more QE

I am thinking(not hoping, lol) these huge short positions could create a spike in prices as physical silver is consumed by sprott and others, and we get a squeeze from the commercials trying to back out of the short positions.

although, with the easy money printing we have going on now, maybe bernanke and the crooks will just keep supplying the necessary paper to keep the raids going, because they can't let the price of the metals soar too much, and we have only seen the beginning of record historic short interest in the metals?

some say we are due for a large rally in the dollar, but fundamentally that seems way off base?
but i guess that is when the market asserts the contrarian trend and takes your money...

in any regard, i bought another 100 oz (10) 10 oz bars last week for the long haul.

AGQ- still in the trade, holding options for Friday, looks like OBV has signaled and daily bias is UP, daily MACD turning positive, and VTX signals.

I noticed you have sold 1/2 position in SLV and are still riding 1/2. SMART, COT data some suggest is pointing to a large raid coming...

HArd to say, but i'm hoping it leads to a short SQUEEZE...lol, but

@ centerline test, just poked above...also 50 DMA acting as resistance, 60 minute looks like it could reset, weekly trying to turn. I am holding with extreme caution, don't want a whipsaw fake to knock me out of my trade, but thinking a stop with close below $31.50... thoughts?

What an unusual start to the week it has been so far...History in the making....not in this century has the market been closed 2 consecutive days for weather...maybe we get the algo's in a tussle!!! Surely we have caught some off-guard, time to play catch-up!!!! Looking for UP!

So based on this chart, with MA(10) on OBV and Acc/Dist, has not signaled buy yet for GLD/SLV...

you are suggesting to wait until OBV signals with follow through to buy?

the indicators here suggest that GLD remains on sell/ or wait to buy...am i understanding this correctly?

Maybe we see a big volume spike tomorrow with 2 days trading missed...I am in on AGQ from last week, maybe a bit premature, it seems, no?

yes, been popping in and out a little, not much time to post obviously.
so much info...just trying to keep up...LOL.

put a little to much on the triple witching puts for SLW and took a hit, but made most of that back on this weeks puts (sold tuesday morning)...605% woohoo.

took another position oct 20 15 TZA calls late today
also have some TNA calls (less) for next week, from yesterday close(sold most at close today). did a lil straddle and will dump whichever way it looks to move. still a little to much casino in my trades but trying to get better, still holding longs for january and march.

LOL, well it was a hedge against all my dec and january long options that i didn't want to dump for a potential market correction today.

I was able to dump my TZA shortly after the announcement, and i continue to hold my EOY options, so it turned out to be a winner day anyway.

daily bias looks down but weekly looks up imo...

I have been using your posts to help my education along with understanding and trading the technicals...is there somewhere else you might suggest me to go to further my education efforts.

i got completely burned by last fridays move and am trying to understand more how to prevent that in the future.

BofE and ECB announcements tomorrow, there is some expectation UK will add some 50Billion Sterling to the balance sheet. Will ECB lower rates again?

does anyone here think this might bode well for PM's?
I know its not dollar based, but gold and silver both jumped on QE announcement from UK in the past.

I guess we will all know soon enough, waiting for a Greek deal also...
