Let's be clear about the ASM, it is not an Open House.
The bare minimum that needs to be done is to have a vote on the four questions on the proxy. Quite possibly there will be some prepared remarks by Tony Chung. As a minimum requirement, that's all that needs to happen.
Will there be a Q&A? Maybe from select individuals, but not from random shareholders. Even the good questions you've proposed that are on many peoples mind are unlikely to be addressed.
Now, I'm the guy who says LQMT is ripe to do something stupid. They are unenthused and unengaged. Saying something during the remarks or during a Q & A that is contradictory to a previous story should not come as a surprise.
Also, having an ASM with rented folding chairs and a table in a completely vacant warehouse illustrating the emptiness of LQMT to shareholders is also considered stupid.
Mr. Tim Cook,
This new $3,500 base model Apple headset thingy....is there any chance it comes with rose colored lenses?
Signed,
A unicorn tired of my faded rainbow colored LQMT world
Why a meeting? Because we pay Tony Chung $200-some K a year and holding a shareholders meeting to vote on what ever is on the proxy is a part of his job description.
Don’t confuse the ASM with an Open House; they’re not the same.
I characterize the latest pump as "tired and lacking ambition".
Likely they have run out of ideas, run out of enthusiasm, and run out of motivation.
I expect them to do something stupid soon.
I think these BS puncture plate posts by Joshua pretty much out him as a guy paid by EONTEC or LQMT to keep a social media interest in LQMT shares. At the very least he is an inside guy. He is handed some info that Lockheed Martin had some speculative interest or looked for a quote and then writes an open ended narrative on social media that provokes greedy investors to jump to conclusions.
This is all complete BS.
It doesn’t sound as though you are the least bit grateful for 6 cents.
The way I see it, if this stock wasn’t artificially propped up at .06 you would not even have that. Is there anyone here that truly believes there is solid, persistence optimism at .06 and absolutely no lower??? I didn’t think so.
Even if an order was placed in a LQMT territory it still means Jack Squat.
I dunno... a future maze company that makes hinges more suited for the Panama Canal than a 350 gram cellphone, one that makes a "mid frame box", one that would make the casing for an expensive Apple Watch, or perhaps one that supplied parts to a Google, Tesla, Twitter, or Amazon Prime civilian flying spacecraft. Any product the imaginations of bullish LQMT owners go next.
My point is, if you suspect that LQMT did not get paid for some BMG usage; a lawsuit is not sensible nor realistic.
Off the top of my head just a couple reasons disgruntled LQMT shareholders will never file legal action:
One, you have to know what you lost, not have imagined it. A maze company supposedly selling BMG products in a LQMT zone is not sufficient. You'll have to have some sales figures to substantiate the claim and you'll never get get those out of a maze company. Also, they may have tweaked the BMG formula so that it leaves LQMT out in the cold. Worse yet, they may said they tweaked the formula but not actually done it. It would be then up to the LQMT plaintiffs to do the testing to prove otherwise...which leads us to item two...
This is a .06 bottom feeder stock. There is not enough money nor cohesiveness amongst the shareholders to revolt. There is not enough skin in the game for class action. And, there is not enough money to do the research to verify grounds for legal claims.
Third, this company doesn't even answer its' phone for Christ's sake! It's really hard to carry out legal process on a wet noodle.
LQMT is a scam. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to the cure.
The days of Apple releasing amazing, new, or innovative products at their developer conference ended about 15 years ago.
If you look at the reign of Tim Cook you'll find the following new products introduced under his helm: Apple TV, Home Pod, Air Pods and Beats, Apple Watch, and Air Tags. Hardly the earth shattering list compared to any 12 years of Steve Jobs work. Is Apple a more profitable company? ABSOLUTELY! But it also has pared down its' product offerings not increased them.
At the end of the day Apple shareholders are crazy happy. But the general public? Well, at this point are our lives any better if the camera on my phone is better? The screen on my phone a different size? Or, the memory in my device larger? No, I think they have all reached diminished returns, but we just pay a higher price for an "updated" item.
If you are insinuating that this conference will somehow introduce a foldable phone that uses LQMTs BMG as a hinge.....don't hold your breath.
If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck....it's not a giraffe.
STRONGLY DISAGREE!
LQMT and their BMGs are a total scam.
This ASHM is being held in our office? In the empty warehouse? The upstairs office suite? In the parking lot on the asphalt scar from the electrical upgrade?
I’d like to think this is a great opportunity to get the Bikini Carwash posse back together but if all that are going to be there are bottom feeders of this .06 POS, I don’t think any of them are going to be able to afford us.
Maybe bubble tea??? Here in Chicago they charge $7 for a plastic cup of ice, some milk, some fruit (or at least some chemicals that taste like fruit), and your choice of tapioca pearls. If Lugee brings that same bus load of Asians like the last ASHM, we should be ready to pounce!
Previous to Tony Chung, Tom Steipp's salary was $800k a year. Tony Chung is a really cheap inside guy who job is to just maintain. Running LQMT is really a part-time side hustle at this point, no? Does anyone really believe that TC works hard every day to propel LQMT forward?
The fact that Lugee Li never chose to immerse himself in the Center of Excellence and get his hands dirty or share his "expertise" is really something the unicorns should answer for themselves. I think it's been three years since we last heard a word about LQMT and Lugee Li.
Lugee Li is mythical. The person LQMT shareholders want him to be is there imaginations run wild. And, I think he is retired and exited stage left. If he were to show up at a future shareholders meeting, his itinerary will be more about his time spent at Disneyland than Valencia Drive.
Partnerships???? No, Eontec buying LQMT was the Romans ransacking Egypt. They took what they wanted and left. These supposed maze companies do not give a shit about pieces of paper that say they are supposed to give money to LQMT. As I said at the time when Li closed the deal, there was a briefcase of IP that took a one way trip to Hong Kong. That briefcase and its contents are never coming back. Again, these supposed maze companies will NOT care about some shareholder shaking some piece of paper in their face.
The author Jenna rates LQMT as ultra expensive.
I concur.
Is anyone else bothered that of the all orders LQMT has received, manufactured, and delivered the last ones to re-order and buy again were golf clubs and tennis rackets?
If our BMGs were anything close to as wonderful as described, wouldn't we have returning customers?
I have a problem that our customers did not find that our BMGs were goods as promised.
The line starts behind me!
I asked that B..B..B..Boy to ask Tony Chung some questions last week and I'm still waiting for my reply.
Lugee Li doesn't give a rats ass about Liquidmetal Technologies--never has, never will. It was not his personal money that bought LQMT, the transaction was done on behalf of Eontec.
He just received his buyout/severance package from Eontec. He is taking that money and going to live happily ever after. He knows not to be greedy and chase the table scraps like LQMT. There is no way he is going to offend or step on the toes of whomever is running Eontec.
I think Lugee Li is officially retired.
I think Li exited stage left. We won’t hear or see of him ever again.
If foldable was was going to be an Apple thing, they would already have had it available.
There is a compelling argument that the demand for cell phones that do less are going to become popular. The reason is that you can't text and drive, they are not a warehouse for your personal life, and they don't distract you from what you are supposed to be doing.
It may very well be that a future cell phone you get from your employer is the same as the one one you got in 1995.
"At least we'll have dental."
One of the finest lines from the finest LQMT video.
Thanks again Watts, your effort on that video was brilliant!
It was a good and a bad week for LQMT.
Bad (and we ALWAYS start out with the bad) is that some people on this board are finally coming around that this whole LQMT thing is a scam. There have been many BMG products over the years that we did not get paid for and that our pathway to getting paid can be obstructed with little recourse. And that obstruction can be as easy as, They just don't frick'in send us a check.
Maybe next week the posters here will become concerned about the location of our Engle machines. And, if those machines were sent to Asia, just how many clones have they created from them??? Are there more fake Louie Vuitton purses or more fake Engle machines in this world?
On the good side, sales of treasury shares were solid this week and the share price manipulated so that it did not decline significantly to reveal the true market sentiment. In essence, LQMT took in some revenue at a much higher price than they should have received. And, the eyewear thing has popped up once again. LQMT needs to re-hire Joshuea to write one of his bullshit white papers about LQMT eyewear and probably link it to Apple. 'Cause we all know Apple wants to make those special glasses that are really your iPhone an inch and a half from your eyeballs.
Mind if I budge in?? Allow me...
Tony-- These sales reps-- tell me, these are 21 professional sales people who are now trained on LQMT and BMGs, correct? And they are not dedicated sales people, right? They are trained or have some background but they also sell many other things, no? They are not exclusive. One more thing regarding the sales folks, how are these sales reps any different than the similar arrangement we had with Engle and their 21 sales reps? How about those other 21 sales reps we had with Materion and that other similar arrangement? 'Cause the only difference I see between all 63 of them is that we no longer get posted online photos of them training in the LQMT conference room.
And, about those eyeglasses....BMG frames for eyewear first appeared in Asia about 5-6 years ago by my account; can you confirm when they first appeared?
You should be shaking your BMG pom poms!
A reach into the ol’ treasure chest:
How’s “midframe box” doing for us?
“Even a blind man knows when the sun shines”
— Grateful Dead Good Lovin’
You have told us in the past you speak regularly with CEO Li, please advise him of my sentiment too.
Thank you for sharing Watts!
Ahhhh every shareholder here knows the share price of LQMT was remarkably resilient during the pandemic. When every other stock and investment in our portfolios dropped substantially….LQMT stayed flat at Oh, ‘bout .10.
This is not a testament to LQMT dynamic position in the marketplace or as an essential consumer staple. It is because the stock price was and continues to be manipulated.
You mean the patents?
You mean whatever agreements w/ Eontec et. al.?
The Apple/Crucible licensing?
Or, the ISO cert ?
Certainly you don't mean the accountants' arbitrary account, Goodwill.
All ya’ alls know that the last CC admitted that the only tangible asset LQMT retains is the LF building?
If that were sold (and I don’t know why it hasn’t); there literally would be nothing left.
Some might say they still have IP or the Crucible effects, to that I say they also have all those RFQs—none of which have any intrinsic value.
Conference Call Synopsis:
--Time wasting and unnecessary history of LQMT
--Praise to Lugee Li and we are only looking to sell to the biggest of the biggest. Selling to whales takes a long time to develop partly because whales do a lot of back checking on capabilities, capacity, and previous manufacturing performance.
--We are not interested manufacturing for any other tier, only whales
--Net income of $384K and we lost $2.4M. But hey! We got this $8M building as an asset, so don't begin to think we are running out of $$$
--TC eluded to 20 some LQMT salespeople and said there would be an upcoming shareholders meeting.
They are in the business of selling shares of stock.
My point is it’s not DD.
There has been one person who has posted a lot on LQMT and 100% of those posts have never come to fruition, have never been found to be true, nor been anything other than elaborate drawings and animated designs that somehow are missing authentication.
Joshua
So after tonights monotone and very short reading of prepared remarks about nothing but red ink; ask yourself how many times you heard words to the effect of Me First, Apple, Maze, or Teardrop.
Once again the answer is……never.
Serious question: Do you currently own a foldable phone?
The only teardrops next Tuesday evening are going to be in the folded hands covering the faces of LQMT investors. Wednesday will be a somber day when the meager of words our ineffective CEO uttered somehow settle in. The stock price will reflect this.
Could some of us question, how could I have bought into a slick video from a sketchy source that purports to close a cell phone in half like they are trying to close the wall of a dam or something monstrously heavy? As much as I would like to see minds change, I doubt anyone will. The next LQMT shill will be right around the corner though....
Me???? I would just like to know when are they going to get around to releasing that damn chess set! I've been waiting close to 10 years.
Significant news is reported via a press release.
I know this board today is using 30 year old Don Henley lyrics as a mantra; but do you remember our last shareholder relations manager, Otis? He probably penned a dozen press releases across his 15 year LQMT career. Thats not all he did; there was that knife video when he kept his hands underneath the desk the entire time. He may have shown face at a Open House but I am not sure.
Anyways….. this brings up a good question, What was the date of the last LQMT press release? I know for sure there has not been one over the past two weeks. ;0)
