On the heels of losing one of its most prestigious accounts, Arnold Worldwide will develop advertising and marketing for Hershey Co.
Pennsylvania-based Hershey's (NYSE: HSY) spends at least $150 million annually on advertising, according to Adweek, which estimated Arnold could receive at least two-thirds of that total.
It was a sweet win for Arnold, coming less than a month after German automaker Volkswagen AG dumped the firm after a 10-year relationship. Volkswagen spends more than $400 million on advertising each year, according to Adweek.
The switch follows longtime Hershey's account manager Ogilvy & Mather taking on the candy advertising duties for Kraft Foods Inc. Ogilvy & Mather is owned by Britain's WPP Group PLC (Nasdaq: WPPGY).
Arnold will develop advertising and marketing campaigns for Hershey's chocolate brands, which include Kit Kat and Reese's.
Owned by French firm Havas (Nasdaq: HAVS), Arnold Worldwide is based in Boston. The company's New York office will oversee the account.

Report: Softbank and Apple to co-develop iPod phones
By Kasper Jade
Published: 03:15 PM EST
Softbank Corp. and Apple Computer Inc. plan to jointly develop cellular phone handsets that have built-in iPod digital music players and can download songs directly from Apple's iTunes Music Store, The Nihon Keizai Shimbun is reporting.
According to the report, Softbank President Masayoshi Son and Apple chief executive Steve Jobs have already met and reached a basic agreement on the cell phone partnership.
The two companies will reportedly first develop a 3G cell phone model that incorporate functions reminiscent of Apple's popular iPod, eliminating the need for consumers to carry two separate devices.
"These handsets are to be released in Japan sometime this year at the earliest," the report states.
Softbank, which became a cell phone service provider by acquiring the Japanese unit of British mobile phone company Vodafone Group Plc, was reportedly chosen by Apple because the overseas company plans to offer high-speed Internet access for cell phones in Japan.
Apple plans to later introduce similar media-enabled cell phones in the United States, the report adds. Details such as the fee for downloading songs is said to be up for discussion amongst the two companies at a later date.
The reliability of the report is unknown.
trying to fill gap after bounce off support imo

Pamplonan, hehehe, nice catch, your running ahead of the bull****ers!
JP, imo the level II is misleading quite often, esp on days like today bc MM'S try to fake little guys out of their shares... for me the charts/vol is the best indicator.... all fwiw.... PS funny how the fly by night researchers have disappeared!
W3, here's that increasing volume I was talking about the other day. Confirmation in a big way... for longs that is.... looking very good.
The traditional no man's land of trading 1pm EST to 2pm will give us a big signal, if we can hold up there and preferably gain some momentum into the close, followed up by tomorrow staying even or moving up, we should be well on our way...
the line in the sand was drawn on that bottom support line, you could also say if you're trying to stay short be careful as the low volume may turn large volume IMO
TA - the bottom (and I mean bottom) support line held... so far looking good on decent volume.
let's start the squeeeeeze - eom
Imo, yes, volume increase follows up on yesterdays fairly hefty day, this is just what we were looking for a MAJOR reversal...
Yeah, Jonesie, that's how I've been drawing mine... to me it looks like it wants to fill that gap from the initial runup... the 200dma and parallel line should be the support we need... at least we're bumping up the volume...
TA-notice how we've come all the way back to A) the break out point for the last huge run up, which began at B) a gap up... interesting how they almost always go back to test breakouts AND fill gaps...
I know MSFT is big, been on the campus, but I was surprised the MSFT mobile video guys (at NAB in Las Vegas this week) were unaware of the paperclick technologies... but this confirms msft is definitely on our path... nice find.
OT-N.A.B. mini-update, Verizon showing big presence at broadcasting convention...
success, will remind the MSFT guys about that tomorrow at N.A.B.! :)
MSFT rep conversation... I'm at the NAB (Nat'l Assoc of Broadcasters) went up to msft reps that works/sells mobile for video, never heard of NEOM, but both reps perked up when i told them about Mobot, never heard of the phys to internet patents, but both impressed when I dEscribed the camera phone concept... will hit up some more reps later... also weird no Neom presence that I can see...
Microsoft turned out pretty well using a similar game plan... great observation Beam.
OT, funny how when you use ignore you don't see those Biasly Scripted (BS) opinions!? Ignore is bliss...
Soon, yeah I called that this weekend, would post it again but no access to my computer, on here via cell!
Thanks for posting smoke! eom
FWIW, I think monday we gap up, seen this a lot over long weekends after selloffs... and then the msft news... which puts us at the center... the key now is busting back thru that long term trend line around .32....
YJ, wouldn't the purpose of the 20% be to sell off a stake in the co. for a) liquidity, B) legitimacy, and c) end the dilution with Cornell asap? So my guess is our new partner would want 20% of our super co b/c they plan on contributing significantly and therefore profiting from their investment... ?
ERHE - looks like its gonna go, check out the consolidation under 1$...
Whattheheck, that's a good rule of thumb, never catch a falling knife, can't be re-iterated enuf, and as far as it turning around, and catching it on the way up, also the way to go, and what will really give you (anyone) confidence, is the turnaround with healthy VOLUME, which we haven't seen yet, but am expecting shortly - we're 7 cents away from back up the truck major support imo, not too much downside imho...
and throw in that 65% retrace, we're way overdue for a reversal...
T/A FWIW, we've pulled back from the .75 high 65%, 62% usually where it would bounce, also looks like we're going back to the break out at .20 or so where, if not sooner we'll see a huge vol day signalling the turn around...imo the worst shoooould be over... glad I didn't go to Cornell!
NEOM, nice job and thanks for your time...
Claw, looks like a double bottom forming, low volume sell-off, I'd be surprised if we didn't move up from here- all imo
alan, thanks for the update, looking forward to more!
Very positive imo, now we need to improve on the vol tomorrow and get over the uptrend line-which was support, and is now resistance ...
much has been posted on this... check on a search of the board - result imo, normal, tax season related probably - OT surfrip where?
Add CHMS to that list!... eom
Chartist- LOL... nice post. eom
