The people who actually know what is going on have pledged to wait for the PR before discussing what might or might not have occurred. There is no use speculating. None of us will tell what we know. LT already said that if a second demonstration was needed, it would be Thursday night. He said a PR might take some time.
I can tell you that at 5:00pm, there were NOT mats on the ground. With that said, there was activity as LT indicated.
I think Baltia is keeping this Evac, whenever it might occur, as quiet as they can. I think we should all respect that and wait patiently.
And with THAT said, I prefer to see that glass as half full and I am partying as if it is happening tonight. I will not be disappointed if it does not.
Thank you for sharing. That all sounds correct and I hope all the pieces finally fall into place. Everybody take a deep breath and try to remain calm.
It is not a question of if, but when.
I think you will buy 2,363,264 more shares because you like nice round numbers.
If there had been any mechanical issues prior to the slide deployment, they would not have deployed. Once the slides where deployed, all mechanical functions were complete.
We are now waiting on paperwork. We are almost there.
Thanks fire stream, we sure missed your play by play though. It makes sense that they did not want you to see which doors were marked to be blocked, which to open. Paranoid FAA, you could have alerted the crew members. Yea, right.
I guess we will find out soon enough. Your pictures were very much appreciated.
Fingers crossed from the other site, meekly here.
What do you think, LT? Looks like slide dragging to me!??
The latest pictures show that the slides where deployed and the mini evac is complete. If everything went as planned, it is done and ditching exercise will take place in the hanger.
I am guessing from the new picture that lights are off, ready for the evac to occur. Reporting site crashed.
Ha, good one. I am hoping for word on that evac soon. No pictures posted in awhile, reporting site down, we crashed it!
Happening now, people loaded, stairs being pulled away.
I would like to think that if something small failed, the players would stay in town and finish the job tomorrow.
Kalitta does not pack slides.
I got some! If you are scared, please wait until tomorrow to sell, when the rest of my money is unrestricted. I will gladly take it off your hands.
I am right there with you. I have a spreadsheet that calculated the numbers in much the same way. Except mine calculates price = months to retirement. So my numbers go down as the price goes up.
It does not make sense to have more than one plane during certification. After certification, additional planes will be purchased or leased. After certification, additional routes will be flown. Baltia has a half dozen tail numbers reserved, ready to paint on the sides of their next planes.
Your facts are strangely skewed. Two crews left, plus one in training. Not sure how many flight attendants are required for proving runs that don't carry passengers. Training curriculum is already approved, not monitored by FAA.
This delay in the mini evac allows the crew in training to 'catch up'. They will complete their training shortly after the mini evac and that means proving runs can be completed more quickly. Remember, proving runs can carry cargo plus they will be used to complete the OE (operating experience) of the crew. This might mean more than one trip per week. This might mean more revenue, more quickly.
I believe he was just confusing 706 with 705. Not a problem, it really doesn't matter.
Thanks Caesare, that sounds about right. In the name of safety, we need to have everything ready to go.
Go trace it. It was a fast smart method.
The event was verified by many of us that work or live in the area. Some of us have had pictures in the past that we would have happily posted but did not think of a secure way to do that, the way fire stream did. A way that would not reveal our identity.
As to whether the slides actually have to be deployed, I don't think we have an answer yet. The cost of deploying a slide? I was told $8000. To deploy, and then replace with a new slide and repackage the deployed slide.
All I can say is that we are further along today than we were yesterday. If there are more steps to be taken, then those will take place as soon as possible. All the players are in town, rumor has it.....
Fire stream reports that all people are on the plane, nothing additional happening.
Fire stream reports that another line of people have entered the plane.
Fire stream reports that a long line of people entered the plane.
Mini evac still on going. Fire stream is there and reports that a tour bus is there and now a van pulling some kind of unit.
Another person who knows what he is talking about says it could take two hours, checking the plane, running through protocol, then last thing, evac.
Posting for fire stream, the plane lights are out, everything is dark, ready for the light to indicate which doors to open. Mini evac is on.
Plus, as a certified airline, they can lease additional planes, get loans, all the other financial avenues not now open to them.
Monkeybuilt, what program do you use to view that information? Good stuff.
Departed 3:32
I will be watching and filming
BTL102, arriving in YIP, 12:37.
Revenue cargo is allowed and even encouraged on proving flights, according to 8900 3-2338. FAA regs are hard to read and understand I would be the first to admit, but go read it.

I first heard of Baltia in 2012, purchased my first stock in June 2013. Have purchased lots since.??
