AVXL has been great for me as a trade. I'm way up with AVXL. The amount or percentage I'm not to sure of to be honest but as I have stated I'm currently licking my wounds from the recent biotech plunge. I'm down big with SYN so... I will be looking to re-enter AVXL shortly once I exit a few of my other positions. Those positions I will be taking a loss cause I will not be left at the airport. I plan on taking this rocket to the moon.
We have a few weeks before the run-up to conference begins. In the meantime I believe this will continue to trade sideways. But whatever I say usually the opposite happens so....? However this stock has been the safest one in the biotech world. All others have tanked. I'm down 30% with SYN. Should of stayed with AVXL. Shoulda, woulda, coulda!
Question is will the next data be of all 32 patients or not? Cause part A is 36 days and we just received the PR of full enrollment so give or take a week or two and that puts us into mid-November. Then time to compile data so if all 32 patients will be apart of next data display then we still have a little bit of wait here boys. I'm calling for beginning of December. Another question is what conference allows for late-breaking abstracts to be accepted two weeks prior to conference? IDK am I thinking about this wrong?
Well first day of winter is December 21st. November?
I must say AVXL is holding up beautifully with the market selling off. I'm not in AVXL at the moment but will be looking to re-enter once cash is freed up. Good luck fellas this one I believe will make many shareholders very happy. I'm taking it on the chin right now with syn but so is everyone else. Well besides avxl shareholders.
This is gonna be ugly!
News this week? Will the news impact pps or will the noise around biotechs continue the decline?
With yesterday's strong push and with data looming any day I thought for sure today we would see 3.40's. I never ever would of thought this today! Disgusting!
Ok... this is just stupid. What is it gonna just continue to fall until we close.
Yea just saw that. Thanks!
No I won't be selling. I do believe the market response to data will be muted now due to her recent comments.
Everyone in bio's is in the same boat as me. Even you scottie!
Yea I had a planned sell at 3.55 when it was trading in the 3.40's. I stepped away from my office for a bit and next thing I know when I got back its at 3.10. I was like what the fu**!
I'm beginning to think we are gonna need that data announcement to get this moving again. Hillary really took the momentum out of biotech's.
Thanks for schooling me. Appreciate all your opinions!
I'm hoping for the same last question and I will stop picking your brain. Do you believe this will be a "sell the news" event? I was thinking that if we continue the run into data release that the release might become a sell the news event. Of course this was all before Hillary decided to open up her big mouth.
So you are expecting a homerun with the data that is due out any day?
Wow thanks that was far more explanation than I was expecting but fantastic. Thank you for your insights!
Seel don't you think it would do more for the share price if they release two individual PR's? My thinking would be release a PR demonstrating great success in the clinic then follow it up with a PR about moving onto phase IIb. But I asked this earlier cause I'm unsure of how trials work. SYN couldn't move forward into a phase IIb without positive results from phase IIa correct?
Yup I don't see this holding at these levels catalysts are anyday now!
Pre-Market looks brutal. Open with a gap down.
I'm not a doctor or have any knowledge of how the inner workings of clinical trials but if we advance to phase IIb then the data must be hand. I mean you can't advance from phase IIA into phase IIb without good results, correct? So with today's PR telling us to look forward for phase IIb we know Riley has stellar results in hand?
I think we will get that data this week. I don't see them issuing two PR's next week in three days. But they could who knows.
I'm curious if the sell-off will continue into tomorrow? SYN anyone selling here IMO is playing with fire with news anytime. Before today we had 7 consecutive days in the green so a red day here and there is ok by me. But yes I couldn't agree more with the comments made by Sal this sell-off was all Hillary Clinton nothing to do with fundamentals, technicals, nothing but Clinton. SYN green tomorrow or will we continue to drop? Opinions fella traders?
However as I mentioned I don't expect any delay and I expect these next 8 trading days to be really fun.
Optimistic was meant
OncoSec Medical timelines were put forth and could not be met. What happen to shareholders.
What? I'm simply stated that being to opportunistic in timelines and not meeting those timelines are harmful to shareholders and future shareholders. If you can't see that then good luck.
I highly doubt data delay since trial is open label.
Looking at the site late breaking abstracts had to be submitted by July 21st. So this will be interesting to see if Monday they mention something about this conference. With only 8 days remaining in Q3 and with data still due this quarter
I doubt a sell-off. If it is it will be short-lived. Now if goals are not met then I believe a sell-off will happen. If that happens I then believe management can longer be trusted.
What PR? This conference they are attending was never PR'ed. Or if it was I never received the email.
Its interesting that on Sunday Sheila Connelly will be presenting on data from Dogs and Pigs. According to the abstract if you go to this web address you will see the abstract being presented Sunday. http://www.abstractsonline.com/Plan/ViewAbstract.aspx?mID=3798&sKey=f07e7c0c-d0a2-4c98-8284-d6b419b2d2fc&cKey=97f6bb24-ef8f-4382-a852-0a9b3f8d8ad7&mKey=7a574a80-eab1-4b50-b343-4695df14907e#
I wonder if we get data on Monday for SYN -004? It is oral so maybe in her presentation she mentions the data on the 12 subjects? Can she or is that violation of the guidelines? I guess we will wait and see!
Agree thanks again
Thanks bro
nope me either bro
Exactly!
Well I don't think it will be a buyout either but not for the reason given. Buyouts are done all the time on unproven drugs and technologies. But yes couldn't agree more with your analysis of shareholders.
I agree. It would only be wise from a Big pharma standpoint now to negotiate a partnership or buyout. The further along we proceed in the trial the more expensive this potential deal gets for them. With the limited drugs available in this indication and potential revenues that could be generated by for this Drug in multiple indications it's a gamble that has limited risk but enormous potential. The sooner a deal is negotiated the cheaper and less risk big pharma takes on.
Back to the lazy days!
