John's reply (9/9/02):
Bob,
Tom Cooper has stated that we are on schedule to produce a prototype of our first product before the end of the year. He has also stated that we are on or ahead of that schedule. That first product prototype is what will be used for carrier trials. As of today, there has not been a distrubution agreement signed for the movie. We remain confident that the movie will produce significant profits for New Visual.

In the example given in the meeting they are talking about 45mbps over 10560 feet: its nice to see that the specs of their "new" technology is probably better then the "old" BS tech.
Comments welkom as usual
At Anytown Telco, this new order is not greeted with enthusiasm. Financially, it is a disaster. The T1’s were actually provisioned over a bundle of copper wires that were first trenched into Widget’s building in 1979. Hundreds of wires had been run from Anytown Telco’s central office in the city core out to Widget’s plant, 2 miles away(10560 feet), in anticipation of continued growth in T1 service. With the copper plant fully depreciated, and the maintenance cost of a T1 near zero, Anytown was making 90% gross profits on Widget’s eight T1 lines.
To fulfill the DS3(45mbps) order, Anytown Telco will buy two Fiber Optic Terminals equipped with one DS3 each, dispatch a Technician to provision and administer the line, and trench fiber, for a total Cap Ex of $950,000. Anytown’s per month amortization expense is $16,00. Their revenue per DS3 per month is $10,000, so they lose money to the tune of $6,000 per month. I don’t care how you account for capital expenditures, this is a bad deal.
Bob
johnnygb,
I'm very pleased with JH anwser.
Thanks a lot, Bob.
pengy, not that I bother about it but what is said about hytech in the meeting?
Bob
Thanks Spokeshave I consider your are correct.
A nice part of the K8 is according me the graph on page 25
the horizontal arrow doesn't stop @9kfeet but goes to 10 and is intending to go further. Shortly we will be addressed about that according TC.
Bob
Last two days I've read a couple of times that this month/coming weeks: field trials start or testing with a telco starts.
My impression is that this testing is "just" an inhouse lab test according the specs of a telco.(simulation test)
With the outcome of this simulation test they will modify the chip design for the actual field trials
So the field trial or the testing done by telco will be done after the modifications so they will be done late this summer(sept/oct)
Please comment if I'm wrong.
I would like to say thanks to everybody who supplied us with info about SH meeting. Depending on the significance of revenues I'd like to attend next years SH meeting.
Bob
Is anyone able to provide me via a privet mail the password of the chatroom TIA, bob
Step into liquid/QuintPR,
Bob,
The movie is completed and edited and funded and awaiting the final announcement of the distribution agreement.
Matthew Quint of Quint PR will be at the shareholder meeting and he is working on staging our company for introduction to the telecommunications world on a more formal basis.
John
Ken will bring a wealth of experience in areas that play a critical role in our company's development," said Tom Cooper, president and CEO of New Visual Corporation. "Since we are testing our technology in the coming weeks with a telco, we are increasing our focus on the final product design. Ken has performed at a very high level in chip design and marketing for many years, and we are thrilled to have him on board
Nice read, it would be appropriate if they would use "step into liquid" for this.
Coming to a cinema near you - courtesy of ESA
25 June 2002
We've got digital television. Next comes digital cinema. Thanks to ESA, cinema-goers in five European countries will be able to get an early taste of the new technology later this summer.
As part of an ESA-funded project, ten cinemas in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK will be screening movies transmitted and played digitally rather than by the conventional analogue method.
The advantage to the cinema-goer should be no blemishes on the moving image and greater and consistent clarity. Conventional film suffers from degradation, which increases with the number of times it is played. Movies stored digitally on the cinema's computer hard disc can be played indefinitely with no loss of quality.
Digital cinema is now becoming a reality
When digital cinema really takes off, film and distribution companies will also see a big advantage, as they will no longer need to make and deliver thousands of bulky reels of film to cinemas worldwide. Distribution will involve no more than relaying the movie via satellite from the distributor's to individual cinema's computers.
"Cinema is the last medium to go digital because the amount of information you need to handle is enormous if you are to have the same quality of image we're used to seeing with analogue 35mm film," says Francesco Feliciani who coordinates the digital cinema project from ESTEC. The information contained in a TV image is far less as the screen is so small. The same amount of information displayed on a cinema-size screen would result in a very grainy, poor quality image.
Digital cinema is now becoming a reality, thanks to technological advances in digital compression, storage, delivery and digital projectors. ESA is supporting the take up of this new technology under its ARTES programme, which aims to encourage European and Canadian industry to exploit new ways of using satellite communications. The Agency is collaborating with two project teams which are working on different aspects of producing and transmitting files containing about 60 Gbytes or about 100 CDs- worth of information, enough for one feature length movie.
Reliable delivery via satellite
Cast4All, a Belgian company, has developed a "multicast management platform" which allows the distributor to select and send a film digitally via satellite to specified receivers and to monitor the reception status of each site to ensure reliable delivery. Elsacom, an Italian company, is leading a team including UCI, Screen-Digest and Cinecittà, which is preparing and will be running the pilot service for five months in10 European cinemas this summer. As well as showing feature movies, the pilot will also demonstrate other possible uses of the digital cinema. These include being able to tailor adverts to local audiences and show alternative content such as live events which can be transmitted directly to cinemas via satellite, just like live TV. The advent of digital cinema opens up new and varied uses for our movie theatres.

Various Q/A from john.
John,
Q) Will there be an official announcement(P.R.) that ELITE is contracted to
do IR jobs?
JH) Probably not
Q) When can we expect the first action or reactions of ELITE's involvement?
JH) They have begun sending info to brokers and will be on the phone to
them to answer questions this week. Their effect should be felt yet this
month.
Q) How is the movie doing?
JH) The filming is done, the financing is completed and the final edits are
being accomplished. It should be ready for release in June.
Q) How long does it take before the final results of Hytek are presented to
NVC
JH) That is in the hands of the Hytek auditors. We just have to sit back
and relax.
Q) During the last shareholders there is mentioned something about two
milestones, were these two milestones the new addition to the board or
have the milestones still to come and are the technical or not?
JH) It was suggested at the last meeting that there would be two
announcements that related to the technology. The addition of Dr. Chen and
Tom Cooper would certainly qualify as one of those.
Q) When can we expect the new letter to shareholders
JH) A letter from the president went out today.
Bob

Liquid news. from JH.
Bob,
The movie shooting is completed, the project is 100% financed, and final
editing is under way. We anticipate a summer release that will be first in
the US and followed by global release. Projected gross revenues are from
$25-40 million the first year. It is being shot in digital format so that
it could be recorded on DVD.
John
From JH, FYI
Bob
I share your disappointment in the current share price. For no other reason
than the desire for immediate gratification. However, since studies have
proven that the ability to delay gratification is a function of both
maturity and creativity, I choose to be content with the progress that is
being made towards the achievement of our goals. It has been stated
previously that we expect to enter into carrier trials this summer and prior
to that conduct in house trials. Meanwhile we focus on the development of
the prototypes necessary to accomplish that. We continue to finance
operations as we have for the past year, and will enter into a more
extensive financing agreement when the climate for our stock is improved.
Our confidence gets stronger every day, we invite you to join us in that
regard.
John
If ASCOM claimed 2mbps then probably those 2mbps has to be shared by all the users on the same line just like cable. IMO
Nice tech but not to compare with NVEI
great things around the corner, Bob
Yesterday I received an Email from john, offcourse he did not tell me any secrets but he did give me some more confident that they are realy getting close to bring out a complete product:
Bob,
As we get into field testing all the parameters you mention will be
addressed. We are moving aggressively towards both the commercialization
and the promotion of our technology. Thanks for your continued involvement
in this exciting enterprise.

Subject: beta testing
John,
First of all i would like to thank all of you at nv/nw for what is
accomplished so far.
But i have some questions (in fact a lot more)
could you give me any information about what the beta test will contain
in
comparison to the lucent test?for example,
* will it be done over multiple wire
* same distance/speed or will you test on 12Kft @
52Mb/sec and 18Kft @ 8Mb/sec
* will interference be tested and/or BERT?
(if this information is classified as top secret, could you give me
information what beta testing in general contain)
did the beta test start or is it very likely that it is started?
what are the chances that i will be able to buy a ticked Amsterdam/San
Diego by may 30th ?
is it an other technical milestone(for example beta testing) a
prerequisite for hiring a new PR firm?
Much thanks for previous respond,
and a lot of Dutch regards,
Bob Witteveen.
great question, even greater anwser.
thank a lot
bob
