....and from what I can tell, no experience with medical device technology, specifically surgical. Todd Popes only medical device experience was with J&Js Cordis division where he was let go as it continued to fail under his leadership. It is now being sold off by J&J. Just something to ponder.
You make good points but I don't understand what PR would help before the next generation surgeon console and effectors are completed. They announced the BTIG meeting and nobody cared. All I care about is the completed console and the effectors, not the path to get there. I guess those of us who work with medical devices daily and follow the development of others, and have developed or thought of developing med tech can better appreciate the slow and quite movement. Just be patient.
J&J selling Cordis. Buy Titan one day?

Thank you!
Probably just him. Not sure if any one else will be there. DF might. He's presented at the meeting in the past.
I would also suggest going to SAGES in April.
Missed EPS but beat earnings???? Can anyone explain please?
...and answer your own calls. (Unless you're one of the older surgeons that still carry a pager).
....and take a sip coffee while an instrument gets exchanged.
I agree. I didn't invest in Titan until I sat at a surgeons console. Some older surgeons hate it. I guarantee that millennial surgeons will make it the standard.
The moderates should delete all comments about other companies. LTG deletes comments on his board.
If you had access to the American College of Surgeons Community message board you would have access to the opinions of the largest group of general surgeons in the world as they relate to telepresence robotic surgery. But you don't...so it's a waste of time debating this with you. I don't understand why anyone on this board continues to do so.
I was wondering about the same thing.
I've heard of this company. Only problem is patents for multi-port robotic telepresence surgery technology doesn't expire until 2020. I can't get my head around why Intuitve would sell the rights to this Korean company. Bottom line, it's still multiport (older version). So what...
I find it hard to believe that this rep knows so much about Intuitive's plans when an intuitive specialties manager (his boss) who I've know for many years and long before he worked for Intuitive knew nothing about the Xi until it was released.
Minimum set of effectors:
Curved dissector
Scissors
Monopolar cautery
Some sort of vessel sealer energy device
Graspers
Needle holder
Not sure. Holding and waiting. Got in at 9 cents.
You're here too. I'm up 200%. Still holding.
They are called surgical techs and first assistants. Not attendants. We aren't flying planes. They will still be needed. Look their own video and visit an OR sometime. You're so detached from the real surgery world. How do you say it again?.......UNREAL!
No. No response.
Nice find. Thanks. I believe they are working their @$&"'s off at Ximedica to create SPORT!
Very good article. Thanks for sharing. I find it interesting that leasing was mentioned. I believe that will be the wave of the future and the route Titan will take. Management has mentioned that to me. It protects hospitals and is common practice in Europe. Our hospital gets a brand new CT scanner and MRI machine every 6 years through lease trade in.
So they're teaching residents landscaping now....cool!
....and an MD
Is this for real?
Hmmm......70 cents by weeks end?
Intuitive has a whole team watching Titan.
He does recommend one speculative stock for a portfolio. Why not this one.
Is their any research supporting the idea that driving while stoned is dangerous? These articles seem to state the contrary. Could this hurt BLOZ?

Last release was in the morning.
They say what goes up must come down. When does this come down?
ISRG isn't pushing the robotic surgery envelope. Surgeons are. DaVinci just happens to be the only device available RIGHT NOW to do so. Read about the surgeons and their résumés. They are committed to advancing MIS be any means possible. A surgical robot is a tool, a means to an end to accomplish that goal.
...almost always. Never say never or always in medicine right?
It's not an add for Intuitive. Your missing the point. It's an academic presentation.
Yes it can with the proper effectors.
The arms of SPORT can be exchanged very quickly without removing the entire robot. This was revealed long ago. Also, I posted information on range of motion of IREP arms months ago. Do read my posts. I mean really read them, because your questions sound like you don't.
Also notice, only 2 robotic arms are used or needed. That's the future.
Dr. Sharona Ross is the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Florida Hospital Tampa and she is connected to Dr. Fowler on LinkedIn. A distal pancreatectomy and spleenectomy is very difficult to do straight stick and is always done open. Nice Video. Connect the dots.
