The guy has crystal ball I think sometimes. His calls have been on point. Been reading a lot of your posts too Ray, some great stuff as always. Thanks
I'm pretty sure he was referring to the market doc....,
I'm really thinking the 1600 storage level is gonna be the key to where gas goes. If we get below that (warmer weather or not), I think gas will go up big. But well see. I've been watching from the sideline more lately. Last week was the first gas trade I've done in a while. I didn't buy D yesterday... That could have been a nice trade, but ya can't win them all.
I totally agree too. I plan to load up on D myself, I just think nat gas hasn't peaked yet. And why hold it longer than needed, it will just keep eating up profits.
How often is the weatherman correct a month out.... Winter is not even close to being over imo. We just got into feb. Weeks of draw left.
I keep telling people they want $6 dollar gas.... But have a feeling we get higher than that now. Storage is at 2193, if we see a 250 draw today that puts us in the 1900's. If we break 1600, sh@t is gonna get nuts. Big gas spike. We could easily break that in two weeks. And the way I see it, we could still draw till april. Thats 8-10 more draws.
I'm glad I didn't buy D yesterday. Was on the fence, but had a feeling gas was gonna go 5.50's today. My guts been right for a change lately. Gonna buy today for the morning flip tomorrow before the report again like last week. Well see what happens.
I think its getting ready to go higher. Even if it warms up a little we still have a couple months of draw. There will be corrections, but I think gas goes over $6 this year. I'm no expert though...,
Easy to see why holding these long is a bad idea. I bought D last week at 3.22 afterhours when gas was around 3.45. Now it 3.07 with gas at 3.37 approx.
Should be bigger draw than last week. The report is for the prior week, last week was pretty darn cold.
I usually check Reuters on tuesday for the estimates
They are just waiting for that report, could go either way. I learned a few times here... That report is a total gamble. Just took my 12% from after hours last night.

Well we sure didnt see the massive run in coal this year like we did last. I was waiting for it, made some nice $ on aci, and jrcc last year. Obamas war on coal must have worked. Another reason this ran so hard today...obamas mention of nat gas last night.
Im gonna wait a little while longer for that long position
I dont think its the bottom of nat gas at all... Its obvious its going over $6 this year. But there has to be some consolidation here...
I had to grab some D after hours here. After the last couple moves its made..., i they miss their estimate by a little tomorrow this will have a crazy bounce i'm thinking. I think the big drop will be next week
Wow! Just tuned in here today.... This is one problem with nat gas market. It's moves are just ridiculous sometimes. I'm telling you... They want this to go way up this year.
Maybe more like one of those $2 plastic watches by the register at walmart.
Not trying to discourage... I just learned the hard way, still do sometimes. Go to Velocityshares website for starters, read what their products are. Then read about leverage. Can be great rewards here, but can easily be greater losses.
Sorry I'm laughing at that ex comment.... It's not a good feeling.
You beat me to it dude
If your going to trade anything leveraged... I definitely recommend using stops. That was one of my first mistakes, not on this ETF in particular but when you lose a couple g in a day... You will wish you had one. It will make you stomach turn a bit... Unless your a millionaire and a couple g is pocket change of coarse...and don't mistake all time low for all time going lower. These ETF's R/S all the time and some are designed to go to $0.
Hey man, you need to understand what your trading before you start here. Not to sound like a jerk, but these ETF's and ETN's eat newbie money up. This is not a stock, also this is inverse and leveraged. So , becareful! Do lots of homework first. I myself have lost lots of money not understanding what I was trading. Good Luck
You know... The times I lost most on D or U was because I was impatient. I got in when one was low (knowing it would go back up) or the opposite. But didnt move the direction I expected to at first so I second guessed myself and sold. In hindsight I would have made out like a bandit if I would have held, for what I knew would eventually happen. That was just my lack of experience. You guys definitely got in at a good price, because in a couple months they will be adding right back to storage. I still think nat gas goes higher this year, it just seems thats where they want it to go. Your right though, nat gas is one of the best trades out there. I just need the discipline to hold sometimes, and be more sure of my entry points. I still lack the chart reading skills you have to take better advantage of the short term trade here.
I agree, or a big correction even before it goes higher
Agree with that...Next two draws should definitely be heavy
What choice do they have? It's like nicor raising our rates, are we gonna buy gas somewhere else? From what I understand, nat gas isn't profitable until it's in the $4 range. Exports coming, i think a time of higher lows is not too far off. And they have been waiting for the perfect storm to get nat gas on track. Just my thoughts
Yah, i believe thats why we got ridiculous draws at the start of the winter. They release gas to drive the price higher. Get everyone to think it's gonna be a record draw year. But, it has definitely been a frigid winter so far. I think their gonna push the price way higher this year.
I really wasn't considering live, but thats what i figured. My concern is if grpn still a good hold with earnings coming and a big market correction possible as you pointed out. I'm long term here, but don't care to see red for a couple months either. I got back in here a $10 a while back.
So whats your take on this and LIVE that everyones pumping.... Been holding grpn for awhile, still seems like a solid company to me. Live feels like a dumper..
Thanks for your time man.
$5 gas not D that is..
I also would have thought $5 would have been a brick wall.. Interesting to see where it closes. It might be a brick floor...
So is this going to R/S soon? They are talking cold for the near future where i'm at(chicago). Still jan, i think this has a lot of room to go.
I haven't been playing nat gas this year because it always seems to defy my logic. I've made money here, and definitely lost money here too. You seem to have a good handle on it from what I've seen dude. I'm still trying to get it, but I definitely would have made money this time if I was playing. Everytime I've had the urge to buy D or U lately... It would have actually paidoff. Just trying to hone my skills before I play this crazy market again..
Wouldn't be surprised to see $6 gas by the end of the draw the way this winters going..
If i may, one more question. If you had to pick your top 3 chart reading tools you rely on most...
Thanks again, I agree w/you on the penis pumps here. I've been using etrade, have thought about think or swim. Far as legit info... Any site worth watching? Sleepingalpha seems like a joke, what about WSJ, CNBC, what are your favorite news lines or analysts?
Hey Adeezl, I have been following your calls for awhile now. I'm amazed how spot on you've been with everything. You obviously do this for a living, I don't. I have been trying to learn on my own for a couple years now. Reading what I can, watching charts, and picking up things from people like you. There's a few on ihub that are helpful and know what they are doing, but most are full of sh@t and don't know much. Just wondering if you have any advice where I can learn to be a better trader or tools/resources. You can send me an email if you can't private reply or don't want to reply on the board. Thanks man Richietrvs@yahoo.com
