Sigh... indeed I was.. I remember the .0129 and I was thinking "I should really sell.. going from .031 to .0129, but eh, I'm an penny newb and learned my first hard lesson :) :)
I wish it'd hurry up and get back to a penny! :) I'm long with the stock, but its much easier to be long and green!!! :)
I wish I still had the unshakable confidence in the company that you do, I'm currently holding and won't consider loading the boat anymore until we find out what the 2011-2012 plan is.
I'm hopeful though :)
Don't know if it's been asked yet, but how about some info on Modesa?
What do you think was the main factor that drove down the price? the A/S or the bump?
Hey Scott,
In Taki's defense, NOBODY saw this coming.. I mean really, how could you know that in addition to the BEST QUARTER EVER, they'd also throw out another 5bil A/S and get bumped down to the pinks?
That's a cheap shot man and totally not warranted.
Hey Taki-San,
You mentioned you took a $15k loss, that mean you sold your LFBG?
Can it be classified as dilution without actually issuing the shares though? I didn't think it could.
I'd classify the article as a bit of an inaccurate slap, and typical of many of the penny stock news organizations.
oh, well... guess I shouldn't post up news at the early hours of the am! I thought we already had done it, but figured perhaps it was a different arrangement before.
sorry about that!
Good news! Let's hope it's not another 23% loss day :)
Left Behind Games Inc. (OTC:LFBG) (BULLETIN BOARD: LFBG) , a leading publisher of Christian video games, and Digital Praise, the world's largest privately held company producing Christian video games, today announced they have entered into a merger agreement. The new entity will possess the synergy of two experienced development teams, their combined highly successful video games, and the increased financial resources available through a public company. All of these factors are expected to significantly raise the visibility and appeal of the Christian video game market.
Digital Praise is a developer, publisher and distributor of well-known games such as Adventures in Odyssey®, Guitar Praise(TM), Dance Praise® (including VeggieTales® edition), Light Rangers, as well as Hermie & Friends(TM), aMazing Bible and two new iPhone game apps. Established in 2003 under the management of Tom Bean, Peter Fokos, and Bill Bean, Digital Praise now has a catalog of over 30 award-winning titles for Windows and Mac personal computers, DVDs, online flash games, and iPhones. To learn more about Digital Praise's award-winning Christian entertainment products, go to http://www.digitalpraise.com/.
Digital Praise realized its first big hit in 2005 with Dance Praise, a game integrating a dance mat and music from top Christian artists. Its biggest hit, Guitar Praise, was released in late 2008. The game utilizes a unique wireless guitar that lets players jam with popular Christian musicians.
Digital Praise has established a wide range of strategic relationships with Christian market leaders including Thomas Nelson, EMI, and Focus on the Family (which has both U.S. and international distribution partners), plus Christian retailers such as Family Christian Stores, Lifeway, Parable and Mardel. General market retailers handling Digital Praise products include Apple, Best Buy and Fry's Electronics. Online retailers include Amazon.com and Christian Book Distributors (CBD), and international partners include Cook in Canada, STL in Great Britain, and Koorongs and Word in Australia.
"Digital Praise has the four key ingredients that will take our company to the next level," said Left Behind Games CEO Troy Lyndon. "Those keys are: (1) strong brands and products, (2) multi-channeled distribution, (3) a solid management team and (4) a history of generating millions of dollars in the emerging Christian video game market, a feat no company has matched."
"This merger gives us access to capital that we anticipate will enable us to produce far more new innovative games than we could hope to develop as a privately held company," said Tom Bean, President and CEO of Digital Praise.
Michael Patcher, Research Analyst at Wedbush Securities stated, "I think that the Christian video game market is a significant market currently underserved by traditional publishers. This merger will allow Left Behind Games to be well positioned to serve the millions of people of faith that enjoy Christian entertainment."
The Christian entertainment market is well demonstrated in various popular types of media. According to the Gospel Music Association Industry Overview in 2009, Christian/Gospel recorded music sales are almost half a billion annually with over 56 million units sold in 2008.
CEO Troy Lyndon adds, "We believe every child and gamers of all ages should have the opportunity to play Christian games. We are grateful to our investors who believe in our mission and purpose; and who have made this merger possible."
Troy you should feel guilty for even taking a salary after this!!!
Really?? He should feel guilty for taking a $60k salary after posting the first profitable quarter in the history or the company?
I'm pretty certain Troy doesn't give a rats ass for day trading, short term shareholders who are just trying to make a quick buck and punch out, and honestly, can't say I blame him. Those traders add nothing of value to the company...
Be angry at him for killing your quick profit if you must, but calling him a slob for posting what he posted is pretty lame IMO.
The news is good and the PR for what he plans to do with the A/S was good, I don't think anyone expected this, least of all, Troy..
Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely disappointed in today's activity, but why is everyone blaming Troy and not the traders who create and control the market?
Market really hates LFBG shareholders.. that's what :)
I suppose you're right, just chafes me when people pop in to boards and mouth off like that
What baffles me is that 81million shares traded so far and Zecco and it sounds like some others aren't showing any bid/ask prices, why is that? anyone know?
thinking the same, was contemplating adding more at .0019, but pretty shaken at the mornings activity, so just holding on for the ride :)
You get your rocks off delighting in others misfortune?
I'm pretty baffled by tonight's board participants.. We spend all this time waiting for and discussing the 10-Q, hoping for confirmation about the quarters better than ever earnings, etc..
We FINALLY get the news we're all hoping for and everyone spends the night griping about shares that have yet to be issued.. If I wasn't a part of LFBG and I checked out tonight's thread, I'd be walking away without a backward glance.
It'd be nice if we celebrated and discussed the fact that we're PROFITABLE for the first time in the history of the company and that this time a year ago, the company posted up a net loss of 7.5 million.
In one year, they go from posting a huge net loss to some postive gains and lets not forget about what they've got in the works for 2011.
Quit crying about what could happen and rejoice in what DID happen..
Still haven't seen the latest Q4's 10-Q, they've posted up a bunch of amended 10-Q's, probably just in the queue..
haha!
haha, silly mortals!
Yeah, tell me about it, I knew I shouldn't have purchased the private jet until AFTER the filing.. :)
Hah well then, first off, I'd like to say I'm sorry for your plight.. :) :)
Secondly, not sure which timezone ya fall in. :)
Impatience got the best of me, got in at 76, but still I'm happy with the position
I think it depends on where in the US you are :)
Last year they filed the 10-Q on 2-22 @ 16:48.
hopefully we'll touch down at .0075 and then take off.
Is it just me or is the ask moving up?

.0032's now, baby step in the right direction :)
Today's the deadline, so we certainly hope so! :)
I'm no where near retirement, but not opposed to the notion :)
calm before the storm.. I did, however expect to see some positive movement in anticipation of the 10-Q
Very cool, thanks for the heads up!
haha, don't forget your walking cane and meds grandpa :)
So, it looks like Isle of Derek was released by Virtue Games http://www.virtuegames.com. I don't recall any news being released that mentions Inspired Media acquiring the company, but then again, I've only been around about seven months, so it's very possible it happened before my time.
Any of you LFBG old farts recall this happening? If not, it's possible that they've recently acquired the brand and have taken one step further to Christian Game global domination. :)
Having said that.. IF they did, it's most likely with the intent to move this game to consoles AND work on a sequel to it.
Sounds like it was a pretty fun game, similar to the Myst series..
yeah, and didn't the PR say that there was no "significant" debt acquired with it?
Think that by acquiring mypraise, they've acquired their debt to which they can apply to this quarters earnings?
That's definitely interesting.. Perhaps a Charlie Church Mouse online game? Club Churchmouse or something like that? :)
It's been a while since my accounting college classes, but a quick investopedia search..
An accounting technique that applies the current year's net operating losses to future years' profits in order to reduce tax liability. Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) specify that loss carryforwards can be used in any one of the seven years following the loss.
So, I don't believe there's a max $$$ that can be applied to a given year, as long as it doesn't exceed net losses.
did a quick google search and it looks like it was released in 2005 for the PC, perhaps they've re-released it?
Taki loves LFBG like the rest of us, he's just too stubborn to admit it :)
