They know they have failed on first try, but if you are like us, invested in this company, you should be glad they haven't abandoned. I will be updating my post as I'm putting together a list of media players & industry leaders that will be attending.

Meanwhile, what you can expect from this is industry contact. My biggest bet is that from the invites IF Communications will be sending to (I'm guessing) tech media & industry players that will be at the event, Ike will me made available for interviews.

(btw, I'll be looking for it but I remember someone posting a form that's on the Go800 website to that effect)

Quickly I can tell you I hope some of these invites will be sent to the likes of engadget.com or CNET.com from which a feature on their site would be immediate important exposure for the company

this is false, I've just taken a look at his post history in GOIG and he's always been excited about the stocks. Granted from what I've seen he does have a tendency to pump (which he seems to do/have did with a whole bunch of stocks) but he's been a good asset I believe to this board and you can't knock him for flipping some shares considering I'm sure he still has some (the most of) sitting for the long run

There is no proof to that, and no DD that can prove all of this at the moment. They certainly have a precedent of doing those kind of things but all things regarding Go800 are speculation.. for now

I'm loving it, it seems like they really are into cross-promoting their clients to each others. Lovefilms would be an ideal step in the door for Go800 into the European market.

I agree this is BIG news but unfortunatly, it will take more for others to stop considering Go800 as a play but as a real value INVESTMENT.. I'm really hoping that as you've mentionned, the coming of bigger players will change people's perception

Getting the word out to the tech savy people

With the Twitter launch in preparation, I would love to see GOIG get some much needed attention on websites such as engadget.com and cnet.com

I frequent those website daily and you can be certain they are always on the lookout for new technologies. I`m sure ff GOIG`s people would reach out, it wouldn`t take much to convince those website to feature Go800`s service. Really all you need is to throw some "twitter" here and there and BOOOM done deall.

I can easily see an integration of GO800`s service into their "Google Voice". For those not in the know, it is a relatively recent service with seriously useful functions that could easily rival the likes of Skype.

Google has been promoting the service on the low but you'll be hard pressed to find people who actually use it daily. Which is why, I believe the integration of GO800 text to connect`s service could produce the needed opening to heavily push Google Voice to the mobile market.

Let`s picture this here : you log into your Google Voice account, and get the opportunity to create a GO800 ID (heck, they wouldn't even need to change the wording, GO800 fits perfectly right with Google)

Once created, that Go800 interface offers you to customize your GO800 experience depending on your needs and select the package/pricing that fits you. You'll be able to decide what phone number(s) is/are linked to your Go800 ID and block incoming phone calls from selected phone numbers.Now add that to every other Google Voice function and it becomes a true mobile communication revolution.

Imagine the potential.. ! Brings a totally new meaning to "Google it !"

But .!!

I would be pleased and excited to have the people at Goip realize that dream for me.

This is a list of keywords that are already entered into the system. Pretty impressive you'd say if those were all signed, paying customers. Unfortunatly, they're not. SO WHAT ? Shouldn`t we at least use them for promotion instead of letting them sit in the system for free, unused.

Now I know some of you are thinking that people using the app won`t be able to reach all local retailers, specialty shops and services because they won`t be entered in the system.

This is fact, but from the list above, there is an important amount of services and retailers already available for use.

It will work out to our benefit ! If customers grow interest in connecting to these companies through the Go800 App, it will reflect on non-registered companies who will want to offer that service to their customers.



An application offering a service that is not available, faster than most in its market.

And please, that should not be to argue, if you are invested in this company, I do hope you believe in the power of the Go800 service

I know smartphone users, I am 20 years old, I am one and I'm surrounded everyday by others. Trust me, I do think there would be an impressive interest for that sort of App :

I know they are working with Xtify to get an app released on apple's AppStore. Putting that out and having it reviewed by several popular tech website as well as featured on the App Store could be a killer marketing move

If you catch my drift, where I'm goig ;) with that is sure it is simple enough to have Go800 embedded in your contact list. But you know how smartphone users are, they want an app for everything.

The advantages really are simple and obvious..
-Fast response (Really.. fastest possible ?)
-No necessary use of Internet (altough I believe a GSP locator option would be a + )
-Easy to develop (Any respectacle developer should be able to create an app that Sends a text to 46000 from a screen input.)

The biggest advantage as previously mentioned is that for regular cellphone users, Go800 has NO competitors, no Yellowpages, no nothing, only 411 which charges them $

If the word gets out to them, its BINGO !

Well my friend, you could not be more wrong here.

I have had those same concerns as a LOT of people now have smartphones and do have access to applications (YellowPages over here in Canada) that will give gps location, information on the adress and phone number.

But imagine that you suggest to your kid an application where he only has to type the company/service he wishes to reach and he is INSTANTLY connected to it.

THAT is the power of Go800 : fast, easy and reliable connection.

Nothing really offers that and if you read my other post, I am convinced that there would be an interest for it. Where Go800 has an advantage is that once it get known in the smartphone market, regular cellphone user will be able to benefit from the service unlike other smartphone services.

(BTW, those voice command can certainly be applied to the Go800 system)

New Go800 Smartphone App.?

Now that I'm sure I have your attention, I have thought about something for awhile.

That something is, marketing Go800 through the IPhone, Android & Blackberry medium.

If a convenient app is built and pushed enough, I have confience that it could create a real viral effect.

I am talking about an application that has all the keywords on file, with a clean and simple textbox allowing the user to enter a keyword, the app would offer the usual automatic correction and recognition of a user`s need.

By doing this, you are creating a whole new service on the App market that is highly useful and most importantly is easy to use and provide FAST results. This application can easily be marketed the same way as any big time companies who put out their iphones app. If pushed right with a respectable budget, the interest would be immediate. Most of us know that when it comes to IPhone and overall smartphone app, those sort of things, when they catch on, tend to gain exponential growth and success.

More importantly, offer that service, free.
Close your eyes once more and imagine the application do catch on and is a top download on the App Store. Almost every user has it, they use it everyday. Now I do know it is possible for Go800 to effectively demonstrate usage of a keyword out on the market.

When the number of incoming call attributed to the Go800 application are put in front of decision making executives in any company, it becomes for them a no brainer to officialy adopt and endorse Go800 Voice Keywords.

I certainly agree that there is a misunderstanding on the boards but texting CALLME to comcast is very much the same as texting Comcast to Go800 would be... Yes you are not connected immediatly with the comcast service but rather put in queue for the net available representative to call you back but... isn't that ideally how Go800 should work ? What I'm saying is that the promoted service of texting and be connected to a live person that Go800 offers is not always the case, some companies do route the go800 voice keyword to a phone prompt queue where the customer still has to sometime wait on the line...

How about a combination of Go800 and a service like Lucyphone :
text Comcast to Go800, go800 connects you to the phone prompt and depending on the service you need, press the corresponding key. If a representative is available immediatly you will be connected, if not, you will hear something like : Thank you, you will be connected/call back with a live representative as soon as one is made available.

I'm not sure how possible this is from a technological standpoint but imo that is an interesting possibility..

On another hand, I believe that if that service gets popular for Comcast, it would be a great screen for Go800 to introduce their service to other companies who do not necessarely have the expertise to develop such a system on their own (like Comcast) but would like to benefit from similar technology

the "vanity" keyword idea to be very different from the original Voice
Keyword.

where I think some people are getting ahead of themselves is in the
promotion of those Vanity Keyword as a game changer for Go800. I mean, let`s
not fool ourselves here, Voice Keyword is the service that will make it or
break it.

IMHO, Vanity Keyword do not have even the slightest chance of approaching
Voice Keyword for Business potential.
I find it funny that some who legitimatly tried to support the Vanity
Keyword idea gave examples that were the exact application of what a Voice
Keyword for business is.

In all honesty, I fail to understand the value and interest you can have in
that "Joe Schmo" type of keywords idea.

Exactly, as long as it lasts.

What we are trying to establish here is not a fade but a permanent client
base with reoccuring revenues.
The Go800 team is, imo, working hard to get the Go800 word out there, and
some might argue they haven't been successful yet.

Voice Keywords is the main venture, with the most potential,
I can not deny that the Vanity Keywords could bring in some revenues but
implementing that service could be very time consuming and demanding.
Remember that you are talking about offering a service directly to customers
who will, most of the time give you a lot more trouble and hassle than
corporate clients. There is A LOT of things to take into consideration that
I believe would take our focus away from the main goal, promoting Go800
Voice Keywords and making it into an household name

(note that I did not mention how limited that Vanity Keyword idea is.
remember, once ex: John Walsh is reserved, there can be only one user of
that keyword. Unless you're trying to tell us customers would see interest
in telling people : text YoYoMa to Go800 to reach me.....)
