Maybe one that says they will do it. Maybe a company that hints but does not substantiate for months. That's one kind of company that does it. Know one?
You should read my post again. The word "if" is really important. Also, I've been in the stock for 4 months, not 4 days. "Waiting a year" is what many here have said and I responded by saying I can't wait that long. That's all.
Well, let's not be too selective and throw just what you want out with the bathwater sir. Manny said really good things too! Should we ignore those? And yes, indeed I was quoting you Jeff... and you even said in a subsequent post that you wanted to hold him to it and see a PR! I'm there too buddy!
I'm clearly frustrated by the time-frame this has been on. There have been a number of stupid fumbles (ie. AG USA versus Int. etc.) and they have cost me time, ergo money. We do have the right to expect competency! I don't have the luxury to wait a year for this to work out and jam. It will be my worst nightmare to be upside-down in a great stock, that I patiently bought over and over again, to be forced out by my own circumstance after months and months of ownership, and sell at a giant loss. Then it will rock for the rest of the year! Talk about bitter, I'll redefine it then.
Excellent post! I still believe news trumps TA here, as I have heard TA people say we're in some kind of Bermuda triangle and we're headed south, others claim it's an ascending colonic with a transverse candlestick flexure, so we're goin' north. Is that Japanese shadow analysis with candlewax, or teacups and shoulders that will make us go higher? It sounds a lot like self-fulfilling prophecy started by Robert Prechter, the initial Elliot Wave guru.
Prechter was a Harvard (I think I recall) Psych guy, not biz or econ. What does that imply?
You're right... however the company has raised expectations on themselves. Even Sidney quoted from the meeting that PR's would be immediate, and you yourself "asked them 3 times" (if I remember correctly), and Manny said they would respond immediately with loads o' information.
I will definitely be jumping up and down when they announce something good again, and I agree that the distributor PR was very strong and was misinterpreted, but when do we deserve to be anxious? You are wrong that my opinion of our IR dept. will change immediately upon release of news, however, I will give him more chances to step up to the big time, he has to, because that's where we're heading!
I don't do conspiracy theory stuff at all, so you're sellin' the wrong guy here chief. I think it's all legit... it was just a little under-produced, lacking in substance, and it could've allayed naysayers (like yourself) with a little more toast and jelly. I've posted how I would've handled it differently... and that was just spinning yarn off my cuff.
Aymon... that may be one of the first things you've posted that I agree with. I do believe that could be one of the signs of the apocolypse! Run away! lol
I think you make excellent points sir. That being said, so have the critics. The changes I suggest are easy to fix, but they add a lot in terms of credibility. A poorly written PR is sometimes worse than no PR... IMHO. Hey, not thanking Manny in yesterday's #1 PR is an excellent example... it was so terse and succinct it sounded mysterious. I'm not suggesting to say anything about his personal reasons, it just could have said a bit more like:
"{sic}... after the culmination and achievement of AQUI's initial penetration of the Asian markets, Manuel Da Silva has decided to nominate Daniel Suave' (CFO) to take over his role as CEO also. As the company has completed its phase requiring Mr. Da Silva's area of expertise and is now operating in the water and bottling business, Mr. Suave' is the most qualified and logical choice to move the company forward in operations. Mr. Da Silva will continue to pursue other interests and will be sorely missed by his many friends and co-workers here at AQUI. He will remain as a major shareholder and consultant... blah, blah..
Something a bit more fleshed out... especially considering he went there because he was called for an "emergency meeting by the Chinese Olympic Committee". No explanation of that gaff either.
Do I sound bitter? lol
I agree... it looks like there should be veritable pallets of news stored up from the last 4 months of, essentially, a quiet period. I'm waitng, but like in Beckett's famous novel I do feel like I'm waiting for Godot.
Yeah, what was the deal with that? All I could gather was somebody left him a nasty-gram either by voice or email or something. Nobody deserves that sophomoric behavior.
I guess he's busy... ok, everybody's busy. What is it he's done that's so incredible? You can go read the last 100 posts I've written and there's less errors in all of them than in just one of his. I've got one word for Steve... proofread.
I would also argue that many, many people who post here are way more prolific, in sheer volume alone, and they don't sound nearly as unprofessional as he does in print. Is that the curse of public schools? What is it that he's done that's so amazing? I don't get it. Ok, I'm done rippin' on Stevie and I hope he takes whatever legitimate criticisms we've aired to heart and gets his act together.
"Oooh, I got a million of 'em. Thanks for comin' out this Thursday, I'll be here all weekend. Try the veal"- Rodney
I'm so broke I cant pay attention. Hey, I just Iove all the people who say "weak hands", "whiners", etc., and they preach patience like we're flippers and whimps. They couldn't live a week in my shoes, they'd have restless leg syndrome and grind their teeth while sleeping.
All I can say is that the people who are the most genuinely frustrated by the movement of this gem are the very people who have supported it the most, and likely for the longest. WHERE ARE THE PR'S? Period.
It's always easier when you're playing with the house's money! I've added at so many price points trying to support AQUI I'm averaged in at about .105 or so. I have waaaay too much of my portfolio devoted to this stock, but what can I say... I'm a believer.
Would reading charts have been a better bet? My guess is yes, however this thing goes up after teasers by Weiss, then goes down when he is late or his IT guy is sick, or his server is down, or he spaced it while watching the playoffs, or his dog ate his homework. Whatever... I just don't see him as all that everyone else sees. He can't spell, doesn't know how to use spell or grammar check, and he operates on reggae time.
Nonetheless, the company, its game plan, its product, market... I could go on and on, you gotta love it. That's why I can't sell! Well, besides the fact that I've been getting my chain jerked for 4 months and I'm upside down in a big way. lol
Me too! The million posts drive me nuts. I did say on news or anticipation.
What does the chart say is going to happen tomorrow or the near future? Should we ignore the chart if we expect news shortly? I think we risk the chance of being on the sidelines when the news hits.
I'd really like to look at it from a technical perspective, but it seems to be simply a news or anticipation-driven entity to me at this point. Charts seem like reading tea leaves at Stonehenge when applied to news-driven stocks don't they? Have the charts been right yet? I have no idea.
I know I sound like a doubter, but I do acknowledge that TA is extremely valuable in many instances, I just don't think it's the case here yet. Please explain sir, I mean no disrespect in asking.
With all due respect Aymon, Steve might be a little busy writing the PR's that you will then cast doubt upon. Let him do his job, then you can do yours. lol
More real than ever before!!!
Excuse me... the market sure didn't like it at first. I thought it was pretty clear when the price moved from .061 to close at .07, after people digested the news, that it was obvious the market did like it. In fact, they loved it as it rose almost a penny in under 20 minutes! Hello? I think you have a selective perspective sir.
But do you like the quote "line of products"...
I really don't have the time nor inclination to post weeee more than 15 times a day. If one cannot say what they need to in 15 posts, then it is probably just a wall of words, digression, and redundancy. GLTA! Go Suave!
No, I'm taking an absolute beating in real estate and I'm playing Texas Hold 'em with retirement funds in AQUI to save my fat Michigan butt. True.
I have to confess Mutha... I was worried when I read the first PR and hadn't gotten to the second one yet. After I read #2 however, I sold some pork and bought some Gold!!!
Only got 25k of my last 125k. They couldn't execute it in time. Looks like I'm chasing more tomorrow! This is awesome news! Are you kidding? Why would "The Siemens of China" get into the water delivery biz if they didn't see huge potential? Also, this is the company they chose to marry to enter the market!! We are gonna fly when more news comes out... tomorrow, or Friday! Woo-hoo! I don't care if York Tang or Mao himself is running the co. as long as they execute the biz plan it's good for us.
Adding 125k at .07!!
Adding 200k at .07!!
Ok Sentinel, let's try this one... if the need for water overall in China is X, and Aquagold supplied water is y, then X - Y = N, or the remainder of water needed. We help the poor by keeping the middle class from drinking all their water at the very least. But as so many have told you... we are trying to make a profit on our product. Why do you keep playing this altruistic tune?
I disagree. Affordable water is in fact something that the needy masses require and actually use every single day. AG's secondary plan to produce affordable water for the masses is much more egalitarian than their elite premium water, which is job #1. Let's not have selective memory or only quote the lines from the meeting that support your doctrine of negativity sir. I told you I was going to hold you to it.
I grant your point. Now remember, if you're going to quote the stuff from the meeting that supports your assertions, you've also got to acknowledge the stuff that contradicts your assertions too! Gotcha, and I will quote that very tome you refer to every time you become a naysayer.
Hey Silver... methinks someone reversed their position recently, eh? It must be the concept of the Jungian Duality Of Man, or perhaps it's the simple explanation... flip and sell. What a bummer. Someone better check their charts again.
It's 500m over 8 years. You should start your DD by reading the iBox thoroughly so you can have informed questions to make an informed decision. Just my recommendation sir.
Let the mojitos roll dooood/Dooooog! You've got to hit Obispo street in Vieja Habana... go to the Bodeguita Del Medio (where Hemmingway preferred to take his mojitos), and then to the El Floridita where the Daquiri was invented. Very nice ladies everywhere who are friendly and, uh... accommodating. Varadero is a purely tourista scene, but it does have some world-class resorts. No personality compared to Vieja Habana though.
I was in Havana, Cienfuegos, and Trinidad about a month ago. I was there on Castro's last day of power... it was a little weird. Anyway, a gorgeous island with some of the most beautiful women on the planet so enjoy your trip. ;)
It is indeed a "moot point" given the developments in the current incarnation of AQUI. Who cares what happened 7 years ago in the previous shell company? This is an obvious ploy to distract and deceive investors by shorts.
I hear ya... it's like Roy Scheider from "Jaws" when he says "you're gonna need a bigger boat". I can't believe this stock is selling for .08! April Fool's Day is sure living up to its name with whoever is selling today. Very low volume means to me that longs are long, flippers have flipped, sideline folks are waiting for the same news we are. Someone else said it earlier, but I think the PR's start tomorrow too.
Schwab has everything done too! The USA boycotting the Olympics? Not a chance. At best we'll agree with Sarkozy (PM of France) and simply miss the opening ceremonies.
I have however, heard that TV is requesting unfettered access and no time delay or they will cancel contracts, based on non-performance by China, if they are not allowed to broadcast live. I personally doubt that any of these things will happen, let alone a boycott though. Most of what we see and hear via "news" is just theater with a purpose, and this one is to show some solidarity with Tibet, and a rare opportunity to squeeze the Chinese a bit on human rights. All part of the game.
Amazing Quite Undervalued Investment. AQUI.
EOD= end of day. LOD= low of day. HOD= high of day. AQUI= SOD or stock of day. lol
Yes sir, that is the magic number. It just showed up a few minutes ago, so Chuck must be at work today.
EOD isn't for 4 1/2 hours! The EOD run isn't going to start just yet my friend.
