We all ask Dean to tell us what he is doing and who his contacts are etc. Fair is fair. Why don't you tell us who you gather info from. It only seems fair! This is not a personal attack at all and it certainly is not a defense of QASP but fair is fair!
1,374 people have said "mark my words" since I have started hanging out in here! Guess what ? It either works or it doesn't.
I trust everyone has a good night.
I am really impressed that you bolded your entire message!
Fair enough!
So you are such a professional business type and negotiator that you could have gotten the money back?
Grreat come back, I tip my hat. I wish I could join you for nine. And, of course you are wanted.
Let's just agree to disagree. The fact of the matter is there are only a precious few that are "in the know." And even those know nothing of the day to day hapenings. I have done a tremenduos amount of DD and I certainly have no idea what is really going on behind the scenes. I am a smart businessman and devent investor but I am no expert and neither are you (please take no offense). Of all those that gather here, there are maybe 2-3 that are even remotely connected.
I think you should go get in a quick nine holes, have a beer, get a great nights sleep and come back here in the morning.
Actually, the list of people who speak negatively in an intelligent manner about QASP has gone way down. I keep begging for a honest dialog amoung well intentioned people with differing views. To come on here with blanket statements on either side is a waste of time on this beautiful weekend.
For goodness sakes, of course there will be an audit. It may or may not look like we want it but there will be one. There are enough items to talk about and to worry about. This is not one of them.
This is exactly what I mean when I ask us to have an intelligent dialog. Please take no personal offense but of what use is this? Let's all continue to do DD ,talk amoung ourselves and try to figure it out.
Thanks!
I agree!
Actually, I am not keeping an eye on my INVESTMENT. Why in the world do all of you agonize over this every 12 seconds. I am going to run an errand with my son, go to a picnic and then come back and look. We all need to take a deep breath and let nature run its course. As a long time business man and coach I can tell you that we will either win or we will lose. And.... I assure you the tale will not be told today or Monday or Tuesday or,,,,,,,,. PATIENCE!
Man did I raise a few eyebrows. I intended no offense.
I have never said I was sure this will work out. Go back and look. For weeks and weeks I have stated that I am not smart enough to know. How in the world did you take that to mean that I don'd/won't understand another opinion. I never came close to claiming this will work or that I have the answers. What I have said is that I realized early on that this is an investment. It either works or it doesn't. I don't look at it as a right or wrong. Rahter, it is what it is, a tough investment that will either pay off or it won't.
Well thought out, thanks! This is what I mean when I say let's have an open and intelligent dialog and not some of the silliness we see.
How in the world did you read my post to indicate that I am ignoring my investment? I did an extraordinary amount of DD and my wife and I determined to buy in. Whether this works or not I am the absolute last person to ignore this. I am simply not obsessing over it. Today some of my stocks went up and some went down. That is the nature of the beast.
I absolutely never siad I was comfortable. But, as a businessman I am very very use to this sort of thing.
Yet again I feel called upon to say that the negativity here is just crazy. This investment is just that, an investment. Those of us that hold other stocks do not moan every 7 minutes. While I share the frustration due to the lack of communication, this complaining serves no purpose. Just go do something else for a while and come here to check once or twice per day as you would with another investment. When the PTB have news they will report it and we can all make personal decisions. This investment will perform for us or it won't.
When I was still in business I dealt with several major national accounts. We were very sucessful in building up the business a few stores at a time. It was hard and took several years but the payoff was enormous. After 3-4 years we were servising most of the stores in each chain. Don't for a minute think that these few locations are not important.
The fact of the matter is that neither you nor I have any idea if the bashers are right or wrong. I will put my 35 years of business and market experience up against you and I freely admit that I have no idea. I intend no offense but this is yet another useless post. It accomplishes nothing.
This either works or it doesn't. The timeline in a deal this large means nothing. Deadlines will in no way determine how this works out.
Banker, you hit the nail on the head. You and I and others here have a good feeling for this. However, silly, sophmoric and just plain goofy posts have, for the most part driven me away. It just makes no sense. QASP either works or it doesn't. Each of us is intitled to our opinion. But for goodness sake, do your DD and let's have an intelligent discourse.
I have said for quite a while that IF QASP is able to put their plan together we could see this stock possibly hit $.10 by the end of the year. To me and my wife this would be terrific. I smile when I see the talk of $1.00. Think about what a dime would mean to those of us with many shares around a penny.
At the end of the day this will either work or it won't. I would not bet either way.
Please explain to me why it matters.
You are missing my point, you really are. I am not questioning you are anyone else. Heck, you guys may be completely right. What has been keeping me away for a few days is the "cute" negativity, the sophmoric cartoons and the just plain silly posts. I don't question your DD nor that of any other serious poster. But, we can all do without conversation that is not civil or to the point. Let's have honest dialog and a fair exchangs of thoughts and ideas. In the long run our investment was good or it was bad. While I would not bet either way, I do suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle.
Well, I guess the one I am currently involved in is one that is off by a year or so, lol. Truth is, that at times it has been hard to stay focused but it may now pay off nicely. Whether these things work out or not one must stay the course.
You know, when I see all of the negativity and the so called jokes I just chuckle. Maybe some of these folks are right, maybe they are wrong, but someone please explain the necessity in these comments. They waste valuable time and really scare some people.
I must tell you that this is becomming a little stressful. I am a 35 year veteran of business and the market and have been taking this in stride. Also, I have been avoiding this forum for the most part given all the spectualation when the truth is that none of us have any knowledge as to what is really going on. We all do a great amount of DD but that is meaningless. As I have said, what keeps me levelheaded is that I fully accept that we are in an investment. Some turn out while others don't.
All of the negativity is really unecessary. The reason being that it is not based upon facts. Oh, I know there have been missed deadlines. That, in and of itself is quite meaningless. I have been involved in buying and selling small companies and am now involved in an import venture. We have been working on this venture for 27 months and it is just now looking as it will pay off. Negotiations are tough and dealines are meaningless.
I really like your post. Your points are well taken. None of us has any idea how this will turn out. I will put my business and market experience up against anyone in this forum and I freely admit I am nowhere near intelligent enough to predict this one. As an investment it either works or it doesn't. It is worth it to me and my wife to stay in but each of us must do what we feel to be right. All of this silly negativity makes me smile. These "experts" are exactly why I am starting to stay away from this board.
You have the perfect attitude. This is what I have been saying for weeks and weeks. This is now an investment.
Actually, I have been long for sometime and I remain long. As I have stated her many times, as a businessman it took me 2-3 days to realize this was not a normal pink stock and I was in a long term investment with start up company. I am fine with that. Not a one of the graphics you displayed applies to me.
I bought Genworth less than a dollar. I held it for a long time. Go look at it today. I bought Citigroup very low. Look at it today.
This is a long term investment that will either work or it won't.
I have been saying this about the timing. This is an investment and the timing matters not at all. All that matters is whether or not it is a sucess.
I, for one am pleased that there is at least a little communication. If you are concerned with prs and wat they mean then you are losing site of the long term goal. For heavens sake let it play out. Then we all either win or lose.
That sounds great but a 25% rise would still leave us short of $.01.
Let's just all sit tight and let the PTB do their homework.
I am fairly smart and a sucessful businessman. I continue to add to my position and see nothing whatsoever unprofessional about the after market message today. Let the man do his job. Either we make money or we don't but the PTB need to be able to concentrate.
I have no idea what you are saying in your post. If I offended you I am sorry. However, I simply disagree with you. I am not defending nor am I attacking the PTB. I am simply saying that PRs are meaningless but, on occassion necessary. Timelines are meaningless. We all bought in thinking it would be short term. guess what ? You were wrong and so was I. It is now a business investment in a start up. Your attacking the PTB have absolutely nothing to do with the content of what is going on here. Our investment will work or it wont.
I really wish you had not written your post. I completely respect your opinion but it accomplished nothing. Let's all agree to give them time to complete this deal. This is tough stuff for the PTB. I am as anxious as anyone but business is difficult and timelines are often meaningless. Sure, we could have done without the constant prs. But this is small stuff in the grand scheme. I lose no sleep over the fact that they missed dealines. Rather I lose sleep wondering whether the business plan will work or not. Let's all step back and give this "INVESTMENT" time. My best guess is that it is 50-50.
Actually, as a businessman I applaud them. This was a perfectly proper and straightforward statement. These people are trying to conduce business on a very large scale and do not need this interference on a regular basis. Those of you who believe you know what is going on, in fact do not have any idea what is happening behind the scenes. None of us do. This will take time. Any distractions will only delay things more. I have no idea whether this will be a success or not. Guess what? Neither do you.
I am a long who has been here for a while. I have never said anything of the like. I have said that I did my homework, invested, misjudged this as a pink and now realize it is an investment in a startup business. And, as I have also said, I have 35 years as a businessman and understand that negotiations are tough and schedules are often meaningless. Business types understand this.
My point continues to be that I am not smart enough to know if this will work out or not. The business plan seems reasonable. The PTB are trying to put it together and it is taking longer than they thought. This will either work out or it won't. I would not bet either way.
I have been out. Is most of todays lite volume buying or selling?
Very positive and orfessional post. Thanks!
Thank you for the breath of fresh air. Many here needed to read your thoughts. No question but that, as a start up, this will take time. As a 35 year businessman I recognized that within a week of investing. Regardless of what drew any of us to invest in QASP, it is now an investment in a start up. This will take time, possibly months to get done. And,,,, it will not look exactly like what the PTB originally planned. This doesn't mean that it can't work out. Let's all have patience, let things play out and trust that by the end of the year we are at $.10-$.15.
Thanks again. Everyone have a great day.
