Three men, one German, one Japanese and a Montanan were
sitting naked
in a sauna.
Suddenly there was a beeping sound.
The German pressed his forearm and the beep stopped. The
others looked
at him questioningly. "That was my pager, "he said, "I have
a microchip under the skin of my arm."
A few minutes later a phone rang. The Japanese fellow
lifted his palm to
his ear. When he finished he explained, "That was my mobile
phone. I have
a microchip in my hand."
The Montanan felt decidedly low tech, but not to be outdone
he decided he had to do something just as impressive. He
stepped out of the sauna and went to the bathroom.
He returned with a piece of toilet paper hanging from his
ass. The others raised their eyebrows and stared at him.
The Montanan finally said "Well, will yo! u look at that,
I'm getting a fax
no offense mean't :)

Lots of action here today. Good to see the Nasdaq over 2k. Nikkei is banging along nicely too. Wish I could just forget about this fiasco for a year and then see who is still here. Happy New year all.
You are absolutely right HD eom

I've had him on ignore for quite a while, but from the responses it appears everyone is quite fed up with his tiresome posts. Can't he be banished? I'm sure 99% of the people here won't miss him for a second. Trainz???
Gentlemen, Believe me when I say, putting only two on ignore helps this board immeasurably.
I remember ornery Oris, but not an Orvis. Sure looks like he was right about this stock.

Board is almost normal with just two ignores. Wanna guess who? lol

I read " The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight" by Thom Hartmann which said what you are trying to say. Fell for it big time. Your "facts" are from a STORY. Information from "The unlikely intellectual heroes of this movement are a small collection of petroleum scientists, geologists and dissident economists from the oil industry." Note the word SMALL.

2. United Arab Emirates 97.8 billion barrels (1/1/02E)
3. Iran 89.7 billion barrels (1/1/03E)
4. Russia 48.6 billion barrels (1/1/02E)

9. Norway 9.4 billion barrels (1/1/02E)
10. Algeria 9.2 billion barrels (1/1/03E)
This from a 1998 report... Just for the US.
Chicken littles were wrong then too...
As of December 31, 1998 proved reserves were:
Crude Oil (million barrels)
1997 22,546
1998 21,034
Decrease -6.7%
Look at todays...And we would have a lot more if it wasn't for the bleeding heart Libs.

Saudi's went from 261 to 264.
Like it or not, oil is going to be our #1 energy for quite some time. Not that that is what I prefer. It's just the way it is. Maybe not if we got someone like the traitor clinton back in....
ps logman, you can delete this anytime you wish :)
I thought a while back that that story was true. It's (imho) BS. They are finding new reserves all the time. And new technologies to get more out of what we already have dug. Don't believe the what the main stream press and enviro wacko's keep spouting. all in mho. and you are welcome to your wrong opinion. :)
G'dammit, tex you are a f'n annoying cry baby. shut the phuk up. we see your point. worse than that sh*t head on RB whahwhahwhah.a hole

Why Canada Didn't Join Us
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. We have no way of getting there.
9. We're too busy at home with the maple syrup season.
8. Iraqis don't drink Molson's beer.
7. Saddam's name pronounced backwards is "Mad Ass". We'll stay away from him.
6. There is only limited potential for sales of Canadian bacon in Iraq after the war.
5. Our Sea King helicopter was damaged and needs repairs.
4. Céline Dion can't sing to the troops because she has a contract in Las Vegas. {{for which we owe the American people our deepest appologies!!}}
3. The rivers in Iraq are too shallow for our war canoes.
2. Our army is needed at home in case of another snow storm in Toronto.
And the Number 1 Reason Why Canada Would Not Join the War on Iraq
1. HELLO !!!!!! THE HOCKEY PLAYOFFS ARE STARTING!!!!!!
OT
What follows is the text of a presidential address to be given by President Bush on July 4, 2003. The source of this material remains unidentified.
My fellow Americans:
As you all know, the defeat of Iraq's regime has been completed. The discovery and destruction of all weapons of mass destruction have been covered thoroughly in the press. An new Iraqi government has been established and appears to be stable.
Our mission in Iraq is complete.
This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days.
It is now time to begin the reckoning.
Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.
The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.
Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.
In the out years, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home.
I am ordering the immediate withdrawal of all US forces from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and all other Middle Eastern nations. Leave us alone. Solve your own problems. Need help? Call Germany.
On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth. Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.
Regarding the nation of Israel, I have this to say. It seems like everybody has forgotten what happened to European Jewry during the 1930s and World War II. Our nation will never permit the destruction of Israel. No way, Jose. Nevertheless, to Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Yo, boys. Work out a peace deal now. Just note that Camp David is closed. Maybe all of you can go to Russia for negotiations. They have some great palaces there. Big tables, too.
I'm ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. Pay your tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York.
A special note to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2. Since we are going to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change. Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I have a couple extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I'm gonna put 'em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil. Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty---starting now.
It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism.
I answer them be saying darn tootin'. Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet.
It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup soccer from America.
To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you.
To the nations on List 2, a final thought. Drop dead.
God bless America.
Thank you and good night.
i'm sure if you wanted to put it to a vote, he would be gone.
:)
Hasher, Please get rid of that a hole. This board isn't much but a bitch fest but there are some posts worth reading. Haven't been to RB in months mostly because of that. Please...
preamp. i knew that sleazy thing you did with ey would come back to bite you in the ass. it was pretty low. perhaps an apology.... don't worry i'm not holding my breath. you've shown your true colors.
Absolutely right Breeze. Haven't seen a report of any of them bitching and whining like what we have here. Life for some of us is so hard......

USMC at war
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Martin Savidge of CNN, embedded with the 1st Marine battalion, was
talking with 4 young Marines near his foxhole this morning live on CNN.
He had been telling the story of how well the Marines had been looking
out for and taking care of him since the war started. He went on to
tell about the many hardships the Marines had endured since the war began
and how they all look after one another.
He turned to the four and said he had cleared it with their commanders
and they could use his video phone to call home.
The 19 year old Marine next to him asked Martin if he would allow his
platoon sergeant to use his call to call his pregnant wife back home
whom he had not been able to talk to in three months. A stunned Savidge
who was visibly moved by the request shook his head and the young
Marine ran off to get the sergeant.
Savidge recovered after a few seconds and turned back to the three
young Marines still sitting with him and asked which one of them would like
to call home first, the Marine closest to him responded with out a moments
hesitation "Sir, if is all the same to you we would like to call the
parents of a buddy of ours, Lance Cpl Brian Buesing of Cedar Key,
Florida who was killed on 3-23-03 near Nasiriya to see how they are doing."
At that Martin Savidge totally broke down and was unable to speak. All
he could get out before signing off was "Where do they get young men
like this?"
good man. eom
