I don't think choosing on of (if not THE) most resepcted ozone generator engineering firms in the world qualifies as "a bad choice" on our part. Likewise, the PR firms chosen were the obvious choice for a company LIKE ours - although, personally, I don't think spending money on ANY PR firm would have netted ANY result - until about this time in the schem of things. YOu just can't "go to market" with something like this: ie: new industry, new thought, new approach, new mousetrap until ALL your I's are dotted and T's are crossed. Anything SHORT of that would be financial suicide. Personally I don't think there's been ANY significant mis-steps of any kind and I'm CERTAIN that NO company could have come this far this soon with what we're dealing with.
Remember, this is an R and D company, even mngt. has proclaimed this many times. There is much R&D going on and news is made public when it's appropriate. EM does NOT want to be a pumper or paper queen (like most OTC stocks). In fact, our days as a penny stock are very limited. Have no doubt, EM IS our superstar. It's his vision and strategic planning that has been critical. Sometimes in battle, your plans get revised, but the end game plan is still quite set.

You all will be amuzed by TEB's new job - and I'm sure it won't come as a surprise that he is now in the waste business. He should be a natural for that.
He has sold because for the last ten years he pretty much single handedly kept MZEI afloat, pumping several hundred thousand dollars (six figures each year) when nobody else would touch it because of no news. He's retired with MANY children, and I'm sure he's just trying to recoup some of his invesstment - most of which was @ .10 PS or less. I know for a fact that he is selling as little as possible at these levels.
I know we ALL want to see not merely stability but stair steps up every week, but in an emerging science/proceedure/company that's not a reasonable expectation. The final chapter is all that matters relative to PPS. At that point, whether it's trading now @ .20 or .30 will be small potatoes. There's NO POSSIBLE WAY that this entire thing could have come together (even to THIS point) any faster than it has. In fact, it's a virtual miracle that we've accomplished so much so soon. I suggest a vacation for everyone then take a look at it just after Turkey Day weekend.

IMO, like they said, they have people "in house now" that are very familiar dealing with government(s), AND with the government, you don't NEED a "distribution network." When you add n Brad Goble to the mix, who is affiliated with us and also has top security clearances, likely, WE can accomplish more with governments than most potential partners.

It doesn't take a genius to see that the delay in our "machine being finished" was not on us but on one of our development partners. Also, we've accomplished about 4 times more than we originally set out to accomplish - all of which will GREATLY increase company value, shareholder value AND AsepticSure profitability. In retrospect, I don't think anyone could have orchestrated a better end game than what is currently laid before us. How we did it with less than a half dozen key people represents the hard work and passion exhibited by our team.

After hours of reviewing our current 10Q, I have posted the following items from the report which I feel are quite significant and tell the rather complete story of where we’ve come from and where we’re quickly heading. The fact that ALL of this has come about only since early 2008 - for a total of only 4 million $ spent to date, including the filing of SEVERAL patents of completed work, in and of itself is simply amazing. If you read these excerpts closely, you’ll discover VERY significant information - some of which has not even been discussed on our board at all. EnjoyJ:
“The results of operations for the three months and nine months ended September 30, 2010 are not necessarily indicative of the results to be expected for the full year.
Additional in-hospital beta testing is anticipated later this year and continuing into 2011.
Recent research has shown that the AsepticSure ™ technology is successful on Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella thphium with thirty-minute exposure to the patented gas mixture, thus reducing food-borne illnesses. The Company believes that these recent developments will significantly expand the utility for the AsepticSure ™ technology, and also greatly reduce the time required for the thorough sterilization of a hospital room, and the return of the hospital room back into service.
In addition, the Company’s full-scale development prototype has been completed and demonstrated in bacteria-free runs that it can reach both the charge time and saturation requirements of its design criteria. Additional full-scale prototypes have subsequently been developed utilizing a slightly different technology than the original technology. The Company’s goal is to demonstrate an actual and significant reduction in the rate of re-infection for hospital acquired infections by institutions utilizing the Company’s system.
However, due to certain unforeseen delays with the company producing the prototypes, these prototype apparatuses have not been successfully completed (to the point that they are fully verified to the Company’s specifications) as of the date of this report. The Company’s engineers are actively working with this company with the hope that verification of all operating parameters will be achievable by November 2010.
Early in 2008, our management and Board of Directors began to consider other applications of our core technologies and new technologies with lower development costs with the objective of moving us to revenue production in the shortest period of time.
Beginning in 2008, management re-positioned the Company to pursue an initiative in the field of hospital sterilization. Following laboratory results with Bacillus subtilis , an internationally recognized surrogate for Anthrax, that produced 7 log reductions (sterilization), we have expanded our research and business plan to include bio-terrorism countermeasures as well as hospital sterilization and critical infrastructure de-contamination.
we are developing a highly portable, low-cost, ozone-based technology ( “ AsepticSure ™ ” ) specifically for the purpose of decontaminating and sterilizing hospital surgical suites, emergency rooms, and intensive care units. Since this technology is not considered a medical treatment or a diagnostic, its development pathway is not subject to a stringent and expensive regulatory review process. The development pathway will be based on independent peer-reviewed science and engineering excellence. A government variant of AsepticSure ™ is being developed for bio-terrorism countermeasures.
Hospital beta-testing of a prototype began during the summer of 2010, with the initial phases successfully completed during early October 2010, utilizing the original technology. The first round of in-hospital beta-testing for this AsepticSure ™ hospital sterilization system was completed on October 9, 2010 at a hospital in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, using a development prototype. The targeted hospital space was artificially contaminated with high concentrations of MRSA and C difficile , using both regulatory compliant stainless steel discs and carpet samples typically found in many health care facilities. 100% of the MRSA and C difficile was eliminated from the discs (7.1 logs for MRSA and 6.2 logs for C difficile ). The pathogens were also completely eliminated from all contaminated carpet samples, something believed to be unachievable with any other technology. Testing further indicated that beyond the test samples artificially introduced, all pre-occurring pathogens present before testing were also eliminated on all surfaces by the AsepticSure ™ hospital sterilization system

In addition to the hospital sterilization initiative, we have developed an ozone-destruct unit which is used following sterilization of the treated infrastructure to reverse the ozone gas (O3) in the space, and turn it back into O2 in a short period of time.
In addition, work just recently completed by the Company at Queen ’ s University has demonstrated that the AsepticSure ™ system can reliably eliminate in excess of 7 logs (99.99999%) reductions of Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella typhium with 30-minute exposure to its unique and patented gas mixture, which provides an additional application of the AsepticSure ™ technology, beyond that of hospital acquired infections.
An application for registration of a trademark has been filed for the system with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the mark AsepticSure ™ . The mark is used to describe a portable decontamination and sterilization system for hospitals, government buildings, schools and other functionally critical environments that might currently require, or need to be prepared for countermeasures capability from contamination by infectious biological agents such as C difficile, E coli, Pseudomonas aeruginous , MRSA and VRE.
During the third round of trials, additional technologies were added to the AsepticSure ™ system, each having their own antimicrobial effects, which in combination, were shown not to be additive, but multiplicative. The unprecedented results obtained of 6-log reductions or greater with all HAI associated pathogens provided us with valuable inventive information that resulted in a second patent filing made on January 20, 2010.
This second patent filing (US patent application 61/295,851) was filed to protect improvements in our basic procedure and protocol achieved by combining it with another procedure, resulting in a significant increase in disinfecting capabilities demonstrated during the third round of laboratory trials against a wide variety of bacteria and on a range of different surfaces commonly found in healthcare and other essential facilities.
On July 7, 2010, the Company filed an international patent application under the auspices of the Patent Co-operation Treaty ( “ PCT ” ) to secure international patent protection for its AsepticSure ™ technology. The international patent application consolidates the two previously filed patent applications as described above and expands the technical evidence, both laboratory scale and practical scale, supporting the effectiveness of the technology in clearing healthcare and other critical infrastructure of bacterial infections such as C difficile, E coli, Pseudomonas aeruginous , MRSA and VRE down to complete sterilization standards. After the international patent application has been searched and examined by the International Patent Office authorities, the Company can register it in any or all countries of the world that have ratified the PCT (of which there are over 140 such countries, which includes all major industrialized countries), and secure grant of patents on the application in countries of its choice.
During September 2010, we filed an additional international patent application covering recent developments in our variant of AsepticSure ™ , designed for government use in bio-terrorism countermeasures. The application, filed under the Patent Co-operation Treaty, extends coverage to over 120 countries, including all major industrialized countries for this government variant. An additional U.S. provisional patent application was filed covering the use of AsepticSure ™ in food processing plants and related facilities for the sterilization of food-borne pathogens such as Listeria, Salmonella, and other human harmful, food-poisoning-causing bacteria.
Also during September 2010, an additional U.S. provisional patent application was filed covering the use of AsepticSure ™ for disinfecting sports equipment and training facilities included those associated with professional, college and high school level teams. We believe that recent investigations have revealed a broad range of bacteria at high concentration actually residing within unclean sports equipment which tend to be covered in mucus, sweat, dead skin, and occasionally blood; ideal culture media for bacteria, fungi and mold. We believe that these recent filings offer a significant enhancement of our intellectual property protection for these specific applications.
During late September 2010, we filed a fourth U.S. provisional patent application involving “Advanced Oxidative Sterilization Processes.” In conjunction with this filing, we are now exploring a new development in the field of oxidative chemistry which we believe will have a significant impact on our future technology and the ease with which we can effectively decontaminate hospitals, chronic care facilities, veterinary facilities, hotels, cruise ships, sports facilities and the equipment thereon. We believe that our research to date demonstrates that the combination of modest levels of ozone and low concentrations of peroxide, properly delivered at the right temperature and humidity, will reliably eliminate bacteria loads of at least 6 logs (sterilization standard) on a broad range of surface materials. Research is now underway at our laboratories on a parallel track with our hospital beta-testing program to evaluate the merits of a multifactorial decontamination system which appears to further increase the potency of our AsepticSure ™ technology, while dramatically reducing the exposure time, both of which are believed to have significant implications for certain applications.
Once the trial program for the AsepticSure ™ hospital sterilization system is concluded, we expect to out-source the manufacturing of the product and partner with large, well established companies that are already fully embedded in our sector of business as suppliers, such as medical device manufacturers or service companies.
We possibly may partner with several such companies, perhaps covering different geographical markets such as North America, Asia, and Europe. The same may prove to be true for the outsourcing of additional manufacturing capacity. By developing relationships with multiple corporate partners, management believes that we will be able to better maintain control over our products and obtain more competitive returns. We have held preliminary talks with potential corporate partners in the hospital sector, but have not committed to any corporate relationship at the present time. At this time, we intend to maintain sales of the government variant of AsepticSure ™ in-house, as we have full-time staff and consultants that are very experienced in dealing with government affairs and government contracts.
Since inception, we have spent a total of $4,015,823 for research and development related to our ozone technology and related apparatus. Research and development expenses include consultant fees, interface development costs, prototypes, and research stage ozone generator and instrument development.”
From Jan. - Sept 2009 we had $146,618.00 cash on hand; From Jan. - Sept. 2010 we now have $634,852.00 cash on hand.

Many things conspired to slooooow things down by several months. But fortunately, ALL those "things" will GREATLY benefit us in the long run. It's better to play well the entire game than to make one great play.

There are absolutely no delays, only precise things require proper simmering. A delay would assume that there is/are something that "required further review" or "had to be tweaked" or "had to be resolved." NONE of that is an issue - which in and of itself is pretty amazing considering that practically everyday we make history.
I'm sending Waxman a letter. As usual, the public perception (government perception) of an answer is antibiotics, ie: chasing our tails. This is REactive. What's needed is PROactive measures. Too much time is wasted stopping the bullet rather than destroying the gun. WE HAVE the perfect smart bomb. It's high time those in power realize it and properly recognize us. Of course, we aren't the ones capable of making certain contributions to election campaigns to further our own agendas. Cash is king, dictator, and destroyer. Throughout all aspects of life it's EXTREMELY hard to swim upstream. Twenty years from now, IMO, it will seem laughable that we tried for so many years to treat the after effects rather than killing the cause.
All good questions, some of which are spoken about and answered in previous PR's and chairman's meesages. I'm sure without any doubt that the depth of their tests have taken the other things you mentioned into account. Nothing has been left to chance. But you should send EM this email and I'm sure he'd gladly answer you in expert speak.
I won't disagree with some of your thoughts. But, it's also important to think about how far and how quickly we've come to this point from where we were just 3 years ago. MUCH has been accomplished and very strategical alliances have been made that have/will greatly benefit us. I think 3-4 months from now you'll be satisfied.
I believe I am an expert in some of the areas we require and I put my two-cents worth in when I think it might help - and if my suggestions prove positive, great, but if not taken I don't blame anyone. But it takes experts in every area to make perfection, and I think we have more of them covered than most any other public organization or company. We've come a long way in 30 months - much more accomplished in that time period than 97% of other companies that have tried anything remotely similar to what MZEI is doing.

The only reason I seem "inside" to you is because for the last 10 years and especially for the last several months I've spent almost as much time trying to HELP MZEI as I have working my regular job. Fortunately, because of my background, I have good contacts that potentially can/have helped us. As with ANYTHING I believe in, I'll continue to try to POSTIVELY influence the outcome of anything I'm involved in, otherwise I'd find something else to do. I'm not the "bitch and moan" type. Life's too short.
It's always been a plan to make AsepticSure as small and portable as possible. It's just finding the right development partner for US that is a key. There are a few composite specialists out there, many in the area of various racing backgrounds who have pioneered the use of kevlar and carbon fiber composites. These smaller firms can create something from nothing VERY quickly and the smaller firms are much more flexible in every way. It's IMPORTANT IMO to be light on your feet in this day and age. There are shareholders here who have experience in this arena. We truly have a very diverse group of loyal MZEI'ers. Nothing will be left to chance or doubt.
We're ALL frustrated with the share price. But the news we've received over the last 3 months has been beyond impressive. Likely, only a finished machine ready for mass market will bring new buyers in, in spite of any other great news we might receive between now and then...and it's coming, not slowly, but not quickly either. We have the funding to get there now and once we have a partner on board that will lend worldwide prominence, THEN the flags will raise. But the more we complete on our own WITHOUT a partner, the more shareholder value (ie: potential PPS) there will be. I'm not saying be patient, I'm just saying I don't think things could move much faster than they are already. We've NO glitches here.

Yes, I have the utmost confidence. I don't think most people will be "shocked" by anything forthcoming, as most everything that is in the works has been reported or alluded to in past PR's. What people need to understand is that MZEI has developed this technology from SCRATCH, we had NO example, no benchmark, no real idea of just exaclty what the machine would look like/end up looking like when this whole project began less than 3 years ago. Once we accumulated enough money to truly test the technology in as many settings and on as many objects as we could think of, each phase required a process unto itself, which took some time to perfect. Mngmt's choice was to PERFECT the process, secure/perfect the patents, and perfect/make idiot-proof the protocols, THEN finalize "the machine." The choice was made (mostly recently) to PERFECT THE PACKAGE, so that our machine is not only perfectly effective, but state of the art in design. size, weight, etc., so that it is practical in ANY setting to use. This required electronic/computer interfaces to be significantly reduced in size and weight, as well as other components. Also, keep in mind, that over the last several months, other additions/enhancements had been developed to increase our effectiveness on various objects/environments. Fortunately, making everything smaller is do-abe, not as expensive as one might think, but FIRST we had to make the prototype system WORK before we perfected the design. We are NOW beyond that phase and it will NOT take too much longer to unveil the perfected machine. I give EM credit for having the vision of using space age materials and design in order to make AsepticSure the best it can be from the get-go. In the long term, this will GREATLY benefit shareholders AND end-users. We didn't want to sell "a machine" then several months later come out with the "hot rod" version of the same machine. We want to offer COMPLETE value...THE FIRST TIME. What takes a little more time is getting two or more manufacurers together who are completely not related - you have the electronics/computer/metering devices THEN you have the container(s) that house everything. Fortunately, various MZEI shareholders have been invaluable in bringing companies "to the table" who are quite capable of making the final version of AsepticSure something so awesome in EVERY way that it could be the centerfold of Popular Mechanics. The most cool thing is, that everyone is completely excited about working with MZEI and anxious to see us in the marketplace....no Randy Moss syndrome here. I wouldn't be surprised to see the final version by Christmas, but the BIG PICTURE is that SHAREHOLDER VALUE IS GREATLY ENHANCED BY THE FACT THAT POTENTIAL PARTNERS HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO DO EXCEPT DISTRIBUTE AND MARKET AsepticSure. Our first couple of patents "become money" in only a few more months which will be the solid foundation for the several other provisional patents to fall under. REALLY where we are NOW should be NO surprise for anybody who has ANY experience with the different technologies involved. Truly, what MZEI has developed and is finalizing the production of, is as complex - maybe MORE comple than designing AN INDUSTRY FROM SCRATCH. Personally, the fact that we've had NO holdups, glitches, accidents, problems, surprises (other than good surprises) is amazing in and of itself and reflects on the strong leadership of our CEO and our scientists and doctors. The next few months will be VERY wild INDEAD!
I also thought beta testing results would spur share price, but I suppose the market is looking for meat and potatoes - which will come soon as there are many things going on behind the scenes - all positive, but take take to fully develop.

Actually, I stayed with the latter party at their Florida home Friday thru last night, who is a close niece of my best friend and his wife with whom my wife and I are traveling with. We all share the same home town. Then entire trip has turned out to be "a target rich" environment. It's nice to offer such a special "house warming gift" as MZEI.
I don't "aim" to have dinner with any particular people. It just happens in the normal course of life, and like ANYthing I beleive in, when given the opportunity, I share my enthusiasm for the positive things in MY life, and in this case, offer THEM a tremendous opportunity to not only help us, but help themselves at well. You should try it sometime 17yr, maybe it will change your demeanor.
I just spent the weekend with a VP of Gaylord Entertainment and of course I shared "the MZEI Story" after which I was repeatedly asked: "When are they going to be available?!" While bedbugs are a concerning issue with hotels and such, it's the simple "peace of mind" of their clientele that contains the biggest carrot. I'm telling you folks, once we have even A FEW AsepticSures out in the field, the lid's going to blow plum off the top of this thing. I'd bet we'll see a perfected, sleek, state of the art, highly portable unit in select locations within 3 - 4 months.
I had dinner this weekend with the COO of 14 HCA hospitals in Florida who never heard of MZEI. During my 15 minute sales speech, she repeatedly said: "oh my god, are you SERIOUS?" She told me 1/3 of her time was taken up on HAI concerns one way or another. Then, at the end, she was angry because she had NOT known about MZEI previously. She's now got our info and EM's contact information, and it was with great pleasure that I was able to tell her that while we'd be appreciative of anything she could do for US, at the same time, it could put a big feather in HER cap as well to introduce our system to her people.
